And your fans love her as well, even though they've only seen her on your social media, and mistaken her for a boy. That's okay. What matters is that you're both happy.

She can't attend a lot of your concerts due to helping out her dad, but she goes with you whenever she is free. Not that it's needed. You give her private concerts.

He's so supportive of you whenever you have to leave the country for tours and promises that he'll be by your side constantly. As in he goes on the tours with you.

Kyoya sometimes has to drag him back to Tokyo thanks to how protective this guy is.

People may see him as this massive flirt on the outside, but he's really a boyfriend that can't go two seconds of being out of your presence.

The hosts are thrilled to know that someone else can put up with his shenanigans. They're even more thrilled to find out that he tends to be more quiet around you.

That is until he tries to show off his... Singing skills...

Kyoya Ootori➛

I swear this man is somehow more overprotective than Tamaki. But not in that "I can't let you go" type of way. It's more "Make sure to take one of my professional bodyguards whenever you go" type of way..

As we all know, Kyoya is in charge of practically everything in the host club. So he always puts on your songs for the time and forces everybody to listen to your immaculate voice. It ain't torture. It's a form of love.

He sadly can't attend any of your concerts, but he's tries to be supportive at home.

He can probably sing, he just doesn't like to. And fair enough. It can make your throat dry after some time.

Which is why he always has cough drops on hand for you. He is always prepared.

He's also in charge of your concerts. He buys the stage, the props, the lights, the employees. He wants the best for the best s/o.

And if people want your signature at school, he makes them pay for it. No matter how many times you beg him not to charge people.

Hikaru Hitachiin➛

He can't sing.

But he can play the guitar.

He loves to have you sit in his lap where he stretches the guitar to be in front of you, and plays it from there. He can also hear you singing perfectly.

He's grateful you're his s/o because you also help promote his family business. You wear a lot of the outfits his family makes to concerts.

Also extremely supportive and goes to all your concerts. Doesn't care if the other hosts need him back in the music room. He and his brother will go to your concerts.

Yeah. You heard me. Him and his brother. It's okay though. Koaru is a massive fan. Music wise and relationship wise.

Overall, good relationship. Doesn't help that the boy gets jealous easily.

Kaoru Hitachiin➛

He can't sing nor can he play an instrument. But he can write surprisingly good songs. The majority of your songs were written by him.

Like his brother, he's literally so supportive of you. He's the more emotional one out the pair and it really shows.

He wants nothing more than for you to love him. You're his s/o afterall.

Someone requested for the person who writes your songs, and all you responded with was, "He is nothing more than a highschool student who I had fallen in love with". Yeah. That started a lot of controversy.

Everyone wanted to figure out who this mysterious highschooler was, when he really was quite popular.

When Koaru told the news to the other hosts, they had apparently already known. Probably cause of Kyoya but yknow. Nine times out of ten, your manager is probably someone who works for the Ootori's

Everyone is overall super loving to see that Kaoru has found someone else he can count on.

Takashi "Mori" Morinozuka➛

This one is gonna be short as all we know is that this guy is a massive, quite teddy bear. That is all.

He LOVES your music. It's something I tries to listen to a lot. If he's alone? Your music. If he gets to pick the song on the radio? Your music. If he has the off chance of picking the sing to play in the music room? Your music. He loves it.

He also loves to pick you up and dance to quite a few songs.

And allow to me admit this but just because he's quiet doesn't mean he's good at singing. I'm sorry. But he probably sucks at singing. He has a nice voice, but he can't understand pitches and tones properly.

He's like your own personal bodyguard instead. A tall mysterious man that's so damn quiet. Not mention handsome.

Mitsukuni "Honey" Haninozuka➛

Despite Honey-Senpai being my favorite character in OHSHC, I don't know what to write.

He loves cake and being cute.

A lot of people underestimate him whenever you're out together that it shocks them when he drop kicks people to ground. Quite literally.

He is a black belt for a reason.

Another personal bodyguard except less intimidating. You know?

A lot of people mistaken him to be your little brother, to the point he has to make it known to the world that he's "s/o's boyfriend".

Overall, a lot of people just see him as this cute bean, when he's more than that.

Yes. He's an adorable bean. But he's also the devil in disguise.

Ritsu Kasanoda➛

This man does not know how to feel.

He tends to be caught up in his own Headspace so he didn't really realize that his s/o was a Popstar. But when he does find out, all he can listen to are your songs.

He's glad he found out. He lives for your taste in music.

He's another personal bodyguard. He's so tall and scary. But then you get to know him and he's soft and squishy with trouble socializing.

There have been a lot of people that admired him for scoring such a hot shot like you, and he can't help but love this attention, but it can be much. He has a private life.

He does all he can do to protect you. You're famous. He has to make sure that you have the best time in your youth.

Overall, all he wants is admiration and to be respected. And while he does get that from a lot of your fans, there have been quite a few who hate him because he got with you. Not that he cares.

All that cares to him is that you admire him. To which you do. He's so strong but a baby on the inside.

Quite possibly the most jealous one out the bunch here.

That's it. I wasn't sure if I should add Renge as yes, she's in the Host club. But she isn't a host nor a hostess. There were a few characters that I had trouble writing for as you can probably tell, but overall they would all be extremely supportive of you.

Only 3 of them would get jealous. Tamaki, Hikaru, Kasanoda.

Note(s): I would love to write this! It ended up being a bit long, but mostly because I was having a lot of fun with the concept >.<

Kyoya

Kyoya always thought you were beneath him. I mean, he’s obviously one of the smartest people at this school. And even if you might be better academically, he still knows your every secret.

Honestly, his goal of actually being valuable in the eyes of his father are really what’s driving him so you’re really just an ant in his way. And of course, this pisses you off and drives you to do better than him out of spite.

One day, you finally get a higher score on a test than Kyoya and so you go to gloat just to see the snob knocked down a peg. And he gets pissed at how smug you are and drops something about a recent family struggle that had happened and then you’re not just angered but you can’t believe he would just say that information in front of others in the class.

Honestly, with how prideful Kyoya is, he doesn’t apologize to you for a long time. He has no reason to apologize, you got smug first. But he realizes that he misses your gloating and being happy that you pulled ahead in the class. He thinks he’s gone insane for wanting you to go back to that instead of not giving him the time of day.

You’re the one that goes to him in private to talk about how messed up him dropping that information was and Kyoya felt happy that you came to talk but then was annoyed with your topic. Instead of more salt in the wound, he sucked up his pride and gave an apology. It wasn’t a great apology, but it was something. To extend an olive branch, that’s when he would tell you that his family is also having some struggles, but he can’t do anything about it since he’s nowhere close to being heir.

It’s a very interesting bonding topic considering both of your families are sore spots to you. You both want to impress them but it’s a lot of stress and pressure. Thankfully, by telling the other about these things, it helps a lot and honestly it becomes weekly sessions of you both just getting things off of your chests.

The rest of middle school goes by with your friendship growing into something. You end up at the same high school. And that’s when Kyoya befriends Tamaki, who immediately notices how you both feel towards the other. So Tamaki goes up to you and invites you to attend the host club. Kyoya is by his side when he does it, and he can’t stop the annoyance he feels when you agree to Tamaki’s offer.

Turns out, the host club is full. There isn’t a host available. But then Tamaki mentions Kyoya is free and Kyoya, being a businessman and not wanting to turn down a client, takes you to his table. It’s a tad awkward but eases into something else. Kyoya eventually asks if you’d like to go outside of the club for a walk, considering the rests of the hosts are very much eyeing what is happening between you two.

It’s on this walk that feelings get shared. Both of you are flustered as you’re admitting your feelings towards the other. There isn’t some true loves kiss or anything, but you both feel lighter after these feelings are shared and a date is scheduled. Somewhere in the school, Tamaki is cheering that his plan worked.

Jealousy Headcannons(Ouran Highschool Host Club x Gender Neutral! Reader)

Request:"Some jealousy headcanons for our ohshc squad 🥰🥰"

A.N: Our Ouran Boys being jealous! I hope you'll like these headcannons and let's begin! :D

Genre:Fluff

Warnings:None :)

Characters: Tamaki Suoh, Haruhi Fujioka, Kyoya Ootori, Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin, Mitsukuni Haninozuka (Honey), Takashi Morinozuka (Mori) :)

Tamaki Suoh:

I think that he would first not to show that he's jealous

After a while, it wouldn't work anymore

But if he sees that you're uncomfortable he'll just go to you directly

He'll first try to play it as the nice guy

"I'm sorry, they are indeed very pretty/beautiful/handsome, but they're already taken"

If the person still doesn't leave, he's gonna get more mad

"Listen here, I don't want to do a scene so I'll just recommand you to back off from them. If I have to, then I'll gladly do anything to help my s/o"

When the person finally leaves, he asks you if you're okay and you both go back home to cuddle

You'll give him love and affection to show him you love him and that you'll never go away :)

Haruhi Fujioka:

First she knows you'll never go with someone else and trust you more than anyone

She's not very the jealous type

If she sees that you're uncomfortable when someone is trying to flirt with you she just go directly to the person and tell them straight

"I'm sorry to anounce you that they are already in a relationship with me. So, it would be nice if you could go somewhere else because you're making them uncomfortable and I don't think they want you to continue talking like that to them. Thank you."

If the person still doesn't leave, she'll use the less nicer ways

"Ok now listen, I just told you to go away and you didn't back off, so if you don't want me to call the authorities I'll suggest you to leave. My friend will make a pleasure to call the police officers from his family's police departement to make you back off from them"

She wants your safety and always makes sure you're okay with her

You'll cook her food after and she's grateful to have you in her life :)

Kyoya Ootori:

I think that if he gets jealous he'll start by glaring at the person

Sometimes just his glare has it's effect but other times not

If the person continues and you start to get uncomfortable he approche them

"Excuse me, this person here is already in stable relationship with me so it would be nice if you could go soemwhere else"

He'll say that will continuing to glare at them

Most of the time it works

If it doesn't he'll use his family buiness to scare them

"You know, my family owes a police departement and I can always call them so if you don't want to get arrested in the next 15 minutes would leave if I were you."

When the person leaves he'll ask you if you're okay

You say yes and reassure him that no one could ever take you away from him :)

Hikaru Hitachiin:

We know that he as difficulty with his feelings

At first he'll just stare at you and the person and he gets jealous

He'll get kinda insecure

If the person is making you uncomfortable, he'll push away his toughts and go to help you

He'll just go directly to the person and get mad at them

"Listen here! I'm already with them and they love me! So it would be very nice if you could go away and leave them alone!"

Majority of the time it works

If not he'll may take them by the collar and look at them until they leave

When they finally go away you thank him and asks if he's okay

He'll say he's okay and admit his feelings to you

You say you'll never him and that he doesn't have to feel insecure

He gets reassured at your words and he feels now better than he ever did before

Kaoru Hitachiin:

On the opposite of his brother, Kaoru has more facility expressing his feelings and can be a more social

He'll start just by analysing the situation

He he sees that you are with a friend okay

He'll just wait for you to finish

He he sees that you are just trying to tell them you are already in a relationship and the person goes away, perfect!

But, if he sees you're uncomfortable and can't get out of the situation he'll immediatly go help you

"Hi! Not to interrupt your conversation or anything, but I think they pretty much show you they're not interrested."

If the person doesn't go he'll be a less more polite and will do anything to be sure you're okay

"Ok I didn't want to go there, but looks like I have to. Back of from them beacause you're making them uncorfortable and keep your dirty hands for yourself!"

When the person finally leaves he asks you if you're okay and asks you what you would like to do now

He wants your safety and happiness all the time :)

Mitsukuni Haninozuka(Honey):

Ok so I think he might not know he's jealous at first

But after a while he notices he starts to feel weird whenever you are with someone else he doesn't really trust

He realizes he's jealous

If he sees that you're comfortable with the person he'll not hesistate to help you

At first, he tries to play it nice

"Hi! They are my s/o so it would be nice if you could try not to flirt with them"

If they don't go away he'll use the bad ways

He'll have a scary glare on his face and will look at them dead in the eyes

"You know, I'm a martial art specialist. If I want to, I could beat you easily. I don't want to be mean today so I would recomend you to back off and leave them alone."

When the person finally goes away he go back to his sweet self

He asks you if you're okay and proposes you to go eat cake :)

Takashi Morinozuka(Mori):

Ok so first he's not very expressive so wouldn't really show that he's jeaoulous

He would be more quiet than usal and you would have to ask him what's wrong to understand

He tells you how he feels and that he's scared you'll leave him for someone more social

You tell him that you'll never leave and he doesn't have to worry

If it is in a situation where you are uncomfortable he'll without hesitation go help you

Sometimes just his presence makes the person uncomfortable and leaves

If not Mori will glare at them

If it still doesn't work he'll ask them to leave the faster possible

"Excuse, but I will like you to leave them alone, If not, I won't hesiste to make you by force"

When the person is gone you thank him and you can see a smile on his face :)

Kyoya Comforting His GF

it’s kyoya x fem!reader just because they wear a dress, but if ur fine with that then it can be gender neutral . (hope that makes sense)

Outside of the prestigious Ouran Highschool, it was raining harshly. It looked like no one was going to be leaving the building too soon, anyone who had any after school activities were commanded to stay longer.

The school couldn’t risk these special heirs to get hurt, offering food for if they were hungry while waiting for the rain to stop.

The Host Club were having a off day, just joining together after school to discuss next weeks theme. But because of the students staying, they decided to open up last minute, causing more stress onto Kyoya. He was able to make Tamaki and the others dress up in costumes from musicals, making that the theme with things the twins found in the music room.

You had just finished your theatre practice, pulling up your coat and staring out of one of the larger windows, almost admiring how gorgeous the rain looked on this day. Contemplating on seeing how your boyfriend was doing.

Kyoya and you met through his father. Your father was a owner of a very successful technology company, so with new projects the Ootoris and L/n worked closely.

Somehow, you and Kyoya just clicked. You had a certain presence that set him at ease, that felt he could truly trust you and confide in you, he could take a breath and be himself.

You felt that you could be more of yourself, being a shyer person he made you feel more confident. Kyoya always encouraged you to work towards your dreams, not stressing on your future as a heir and more as yourself. (He can’t talk much since he mostly does the same, but it’s the thought that counts).

Kyoya didn’t tell people about you, as of your request. For a long time you went to a different school, just recently transferring, and having a lot of nerves with being new and having a famous father. You decided to hide yourself a bit more, taking on your mothers last name, and not yet telling everyone your dating a powerful mans son, maybe the next heir.

Putting in some earbuds, turning on one of the songs you had been practicing for the show. You started to hum to it a bit, picking up your books and walking away from the window to try and find a empty space.

Soon a fellow classmate appeared from behind the doors, quickly catching your presence and rushing your way.

When you first joined the first year class, she befriended you, realizing you were much kinder than others were in the beginning, and after chatting more, she realized you really were a fun person to be around.

“Y/n-san!” She exclaimed, rushing over to you with flowers in her hand. “How was your theater club?”

“It was nice, practiced my song today,�� You nodded to her, a small smile present on your face. “Are you still in that one club?”

“Yes, actually, do you think you could help me find a radio? Tamaki-senpai wants me to play some music and I don’t have anything,” She complained and you agreed. The both of you travelled to the music room, finding a radio that worked well and could play the music wished.

When coming upon the Music Room 3 doors you decided to go in and try to help her set up the music system. Haurhi was very grateful for all your help, thanking you and offering to get you some tea.

“No, no it’s fine,” You shook your head, waving you hands. “I think I’m just going to go and get some extra practice in,”

“Hey, isn’t that the one girl,” Hikaru nudged his brother, pointing over to where you were talking with Haruhi.

“Oh, yeah, she’s so shy,”

“Mhm, do you know what I’m thinking?” Hikaru turned towards his brother, both of their lips lifting into mischievous smiles.

“Haruhi!” Tamaki called, giddily skipping over with a large smile. “Is this your friend, she’s so cute!” He walked over to you, pinching your cheeks while Haruhi tried to push him away. “You could have just asked, it will be fun, the twins already picked out a outfit!” He smiled and the twins rushed over, grabbing you and shoving you into a changing room.

“Y/n!” Haruhi muttered, truly confused at what Tamaki was saying. “Tamaki-senpai, what are you talking about?”

“They told me your friend wanted to dress up as one of us, since she’s in the theater group herself and that’s our theme today. They said you were to shy to ask- Oh I swear, those devils!” His face morphed into a angry expression, going to go give the twins a piece of his mind before you stepped out of the dressing room.

You were wearing a beautiful purple gown, somehow it made you look amazing, hugging you in all the right places. You loved the dress, but not all the eyes that fell on you.

“Wow who’s that?”

“Are they adding a female host?”

“Takashi look at her!”

“Y/n?” Kyoya questioned, looking up from his notebook and standing up. You were frozen in place, not expecting all this attention, forgetting how many people really were in the room.

“Tamaki-senpai!” Haruhi yelled, now sticking her finger in his face. “She’s really shy, doesn’t like all the attention, tell everyone to give her space,” Haruhi scolded, moving over by you.

“Y/n, what are you doing here?” Kyoya asked, walking up to you and having a somewhat softer expression.

“Kyoya-senpai, I know she shouldn’t have dressed u- wait how do you know her?” Haruhi wondered.

“How could I not?” He asked back, almost as if it was obvious. “Are you feeling okay, dear?” He looked back at you, taking your hand in his.

“Dear?!” Haruhi repeated, looking as if she would have a heart attack.

“Daddy has a girlfriend?!” Tamaki waltzed over, clutching his heart as if he was heartbroken.

“How does he even have one?” Hikaru inquired.

“The guy doesn’t even have a heart, how could he love someone?” Kaoru added.

“She’s so cute Kyo-chan!” Honey commented, a bright smile on his face. “Want to have some cake with me?”

“I was just trying to set up some music, not get dressed up,” You commented, still trying to calm yourself with all the people that were now surrounding.

Luckily for you and the group, a announcement was made that the rain had let up and families were sending staff to pick up their children. So everyone was to report to their original club rooms.

Kyoya was able to walk you over to a empty table while Haruhi made some tea, the both wanting to try and help calm your nerves. You accepted the tea graciously and the other club members slowly made their way over to you, now understanding and wanting to be careful.

“That was truly rude of you twins, and Tamaki,” Kyoya commented, sitting by you on the couch.

“Please don’t kill us!” The three yelled.

“It’s okay Kyoya,” You smiled at your boyfriend, placing the teacup down. “They didn’t know, I have to build up my courage anyways for the performance,”

“You should still proceed carefully, it hurts to see you scared my dear,” He told you, his voice soft, and hand intertwined with his while you moved closer to him, leaning your head on his shoulder.

“Thank you. It’s still nice to be introduced to all of your friends!”

“You should’ve come around sooner,”

“Theatre practice has been very busy, I was able to get the lead so their has been a lot more work to do,” You mentioned.

“You do theatre, I like to think I’m a amazing actor!” Tamaki beamed. “Look at my costume and looks, I truly do fit the part,”

“Uh, sure,” You laughed. “I also have to do this one part with a classmate, it’s a sweet part,”

“Well I’m looking forward to seeing it,” Kyoya smiled to you, kissing your forehead sweetly. He did it without thinking, without remembering his surroundings, and quickly felt his face flush.

When it came time for your performance. You were all dressed up, makeup and hair perfectly fitting the character you were portraying. The Host Club were all overjoyed to see you up there.

Throughout the weeks that followed the day you met them you all became close. They all tried to make you feel comfortable and gain more confidence for when you were to preform.

Seeing you on stage brought a smile to all of their faces. You looked like you were really being yourself and having fun, they clapped and cheered at all the appropriate moments. Kyoya even was a bit more ecstatic than usual.

It was nearing the end of the play and you were onstage with the other love interest throughout the story. He moved closer, wrapping hands around your waist and pulling you closer, than reaching a hand to cup your cheek and placing on long kiss onto your cheeks. The curtains closed and all of the Host Club members were looking at the scowl present on Kyoya’s face, scooting away a little.

After the play, the seven hosts were invited backstage, to meet the cast and celebrate the successful performance with them. Kyoya quickly made his way to you, giving you a large hug and seeing you talk to the love interest in the show. He then kissed you, the other boy running off and you laughing afterwards.

Little did this jealous Kyoya know was that this was only the first performance, you still had five more to go!

Summary: Your parents and the Ootoris set up an arranged marriage between you and Kyoya for business reasons.

Author’s Notes: uhhhh so my hand slipped and I wrote a whole ass Kyoya fic cuz I love that bitch I’m not sorry. (btw normal text is present and italics are flashbacks. Gender neutral pronouns and language for reader!)

Your reflection in the mirror haunts you. It hurts. You can’t pretend it’s all a nightmare anymore, this is your reality. The reality you didn’t choose.

But maybe you would if the circumstances were different.

Servants, tailors, and seamstresses are fluttering all around you, making adjustments to your wedding ensemble. It looks perfect, more than perfect. It’s everything you ever wanted, and it looks amazing on you. You continue to stare at yourself in the mirror, knowing how proud your parents would be when you walked to the front of the wedding ceremony. They would be happy, even if you weren’t.

Your parents business has been failing for months now, and they needed to fix it fast. The Ootori family agreed to help if you married their youngest son as a symbol of the partnership. Of course your parents wouldn’t threaten you if you didn’t do it, but you knew how much they needed it. You’ve always known there was a chance you’d end up in an arranged marriage anyway, even if you’ve also always dreamed of love. You were willing to give up a love marriage in order to help them, and after all, you could certainly do worse than Kyoya. You knew he’d treat you well and provide for you, and quite frankly you couldn’t imagine him caring enough to hurt you or bother you.

“Thank you so much again for making this deal with us,” your father nodded.

“Of course. Your company has quite a few valuable prospects,” Mr. Ootori smiles.

You gazed at Kyoya across the room, who’s barely made any eye contact with you the entire time. You could tell he wasn’t thrilled about this either, but there was something else, something more than disinterest. Was it anger? Determination?

“Shall we leave them alone for a bit? They should get to know each other better if they’re going through with this, don’t you think?” your mother suggested, gesturing to you.

“Certainly,” Mr. Ootori sat up and left the room, your parents following soon after and shutting the door.

“So…” you started, trailing off. What was there even to say?

Kyoya shot up from his chair and began pacing around the room, settling for a few moments by the window but soon going right back to pacing. He chewed his pen a bit, occasionally scribbling things down on his notepad.

“Are you okay?” you asked.

He continued to ignore you, deep in thought.

“Look, I get that you don’t like me, but can we at least talk? I’m going to have to live with your ass for the rest of my life you know,”

“It’s not that I don’t like you,” his eyes finally met yours, almost so much it was frightening. “You’re quite attractive actually and I don’t see any reason we wouldn’t get along. But that doesn’t negate the fact that this was forced on us. We have every right to be angry,”

You were stunned that the first thing he said to you was so direct.

“I mean, I guess so,”

“My father doesn’t know how much power I truly have over his company. We could take it from him and make our lives whatever we want. We could continue to work together or we could separate if that’s what you desire. They’ll be sorry for forcing their will on their children,”

“What about my parents?”

“What about them?”

“They’ll go bankrupt without this deal. They’ll lose everything,”

“Their deal is with the company, not my father. Once I become the head I’ll make sure they get what they need,”

Damn, he really had all this planned out.

“How long will we be married before you do all this?”

“It will take at least a year, possibly two. Too quick and we’ll raise suspicion, too slow and we’ll miss our chance,”

You nod. It made sense, but you couldn’t help but feel cheated. He didn’t care about you in the slightest, he was simply using this unfortunate marriage situation for his own gain and revenge. What were you supposed to do for the short time you were married? Sit around his mansion and wait?

You huff, “Look, I’m glad you’re getting some good out of this, but don’t you think we should at least try to be friends? I’m not just going to sit here and be a tool for your masterplan. Whether you like it or not, we’re going to be partners for a while and I’d rather not spend it being bored,”

Kyoya blinked. Clearly he didn’t calculate any sort of relationship into his plan, and the fact you weren’t blindly going along with it confused him.

You roll your eyes, “Can’t we at least go out to dinner a few times? You know, talk a little bit?”

“That sounds dangerously close to a date,”

“So what if it is? You said yourself you think I’m attractive and you think we’d get along,”

“I suppose I did,” he smiled.

You decide to turn around, hoping not seeing yourself for a few minutes will distract you.

You sincerely hope everything will work out, hope that everything will turn out fine. You trust Kyoya, he’ll do anything he can to keep his word. Your parents will be taken care of. You will be taken care of. His excuse of a father will be out of the picture.

What will you even do when it’s all said and done? Go off on your own? Get more education? Travel? Find love with someone else?

The future’s never been more terrifying.

At least you won’t be miserable. You can tell Kyoya’s made an effort to care about you throughout your engagement, he won’t be an awful husband for the year or so you’ll be married.

But does he really care about you? Or he just acting like it because you asked him to?

Kyoya picked you up in his limousine for your first “date,” taking you to a fancy restaurant downtown. Surprisingly he was the one to initiate conversations during the whole thing, asking you about your life, your hobbies, your interests. You found you actually have a lot in common, and you end up talking for hours, literally until the restaurant closes and kicks you out.

“I would take you somewhere else, but I’m afraid it’s getting too late,” he said, opening the door of the limo for you to get in.

You frowned. You were actually having a really good time.

“Tomorrow?”

“Hmm?” he raised a brow.

“We could hang out again tomorrow?”

“Sure,”

You opened your eyes, awoken from some noise outside. You looked around, assuming it was just some branches brushing against the side of the house. You rolled over, trying to get back to sleep.

The banging starts up again, and this time when you sat up you could almost swear you saw a hand through your window.

You stood up, trudging over and opening it.

“Kyoya? What the fuck are you doing?!”

“It’s tomorrow,” he smirked. You gaze at the clock. He’s right, it’s nearly 1 AM.

“I never pegged you for the sneaking out type,”

“Well, I do most of my best thinking at night, so I like to sit on the roof or go for a walk once everyone’s asleep,” he took a look at you in your pajamas. “Would you like to accompany me?”

“Give me a sec,” you shut the curtains and slipped on some clothes and freshened up a bit. You returned and started climbing out the window, Kyoya helping you get down to the ground.

“Where would you like to go?” he asked.

“This was your idea,”

“I suppose so,”

He ended up leading you to a small park his family owned, with a little pond and some benches and trees. You sat down and looked around, listening to the distant sounds of the night.

“I misjudged you, Kyoya,”

“You thought I was an asshole, didn’t you?”

You laughed, “Yeah, just a bit,”

“I certainly can be, I won’t claim otherwise,” he sat down next to you. “But I’m not opposed to expanding my horizons. You offered a valid point. A friendship and partnership may very well be in our best interests,”

“Ugh,” you groaned. “There you go again with your best interests shit,”

“What do you mean?”

“You’re telling me that you’re only trying to be friends with me because it’s in your best interest?”

“Is that…not how friendships work?” he squinted. “I am interested in being friends with you. I am interested in being your partner. Why does that upset you?”

“Because you’re talking about me like my love and respect is something for you to take or gain,”

“I apologize,” he hummed. “I’m afraid I don’t have much experience in the type of relationship you want,”

“You’ve never had a real friend? You’ve never cared about anyone for who they were more than what they could give you?”

“No, I have. Just not many,”

You almost felt…bad for him. He was trying, at least.

“I’m sorry too. I shouldn’t be so harsh,” you looked at him. “I know we can make this work. We just need to be patient with each other, that’s all,”

“Alright,” he agreed.

You continued your conversation from earlier, and things felt good again. You really do get along well, it’s a shame you weren’t actually in love.

You check your phone, seeing a text from Kyoya sent just a few minutes ago. You open it, and he’s asking where you are because he wants to talk to you. You tell him no, not today, but he insists.

You stop responding, figuring no matter what you say he’ll come anyway. You didn’t tell him where you were, but a quick questioning of a few servants and someone would tell him.

You don’t particularly want to see him right now, not like this. This is your time to feel bad about yourself and lose your mind worrying about the future, and he’s not going to help that.

You don’t hate him, quite the opposite, but he’s only a reminder of what you have but could never be.

You and Kyoya have gone on several more outings over the past few months, and it’s getting closer and closer to the wedding. He’s taken you to all his family’s properties, resorts, parks, and more. You’ve gone to almost every restaurant in town (yes, even commoner ones, you both found it entertaining), and you’ve spent many nights walking around the city. You’ve spent days indoors playing board and card games and watching movies. You genuinely enjoyed spending most of your free time with him.

But tonight’s a bit different.

Tonight you won’t be alone, on your own terms. Tonight was the rehearsal dinner, and of course both your families were going overboard. Barely any of it was going to be spent actually rehearsing for the wedding. There’s going to be dancing, food and drinks, and basically a party all night long.

Everyone’s going to be watching you, everyone’s eyes are going to be on you.

You met up with Kyoya after getting ready so you could walk in together. You put on your most formal outfits, besides the ones for the wedding a few days from now.

When he saw you, he averted his gaze immediately as if he’d just caught you naked.

“You look good,” he coughed.

“So do you,” you laughed.

He offered you his arm and you took it, walking down the hallway into the ballroom.

You had to do an awful lot of greeting before doing anything else. Everyone wants to talk to you and congratulate you, even people you swear you’ve never met in your life. There’s a mix of family, friends, and other business partners. Some people were probably there simply because they could be due to their status, and had no interest in the celebration whatsoever.

When you’re finally free of conversation, you raced to the table to grab some refreshments. They prepared the best food possible, including some of your favorites.

Kyoya found you again just as you were finishing, offering his arm to you once again.

“May I have this dance?”

You almost choked, “You dance?”

“Of course I do. So is my fiancé going to refuse me or not?”

You smiled and shook your head, giggling a bit as he drags you to the floor.

No one was doing anything particularly complicated, just waltzes, and thank goodness that was the case. You could barely think straight from everything going on.

Surprisingly Kyoya wasn’t a stiff dancer, his movements were consistent but flowed perfectly with the music. He held you closer than you thought he would, but gently.

You felt your body heat up and chills in your stomach and down your spine. How are those two things even possible to happen at the same time?

Well, shit. You weren’t actually falling for him were you?

You thought these past few months would be tedious, but they’ve actually been some of the best of your life. Kyoya’s become your best friend, and gosh you want to spend the rest of your life with him. You understand each other. You both want to break away from your controlling families and finally find your own happiness. You can spend hours talking about everything and nothing. You can make each other laugh like no one else ever has.

Maybe this arranged marriage could become a love marriage. Just maybe.

But no. Kyoya made his intentions very clear. You doubt he’s developed the same feelings for you. He may see you as a valued friend, but he’ll fell nothing when you inevitably break off your relationship in a couple years.

Kyoya must’ve noticed you zoning out in thought, because he stops dancing and brings his hands to your shoulders.

“Are you alright? Do you need some air?”

You nodded, and he leads you out onto the balcony outside the ballroom, keeping a hand on your back.

You take a deep breath, desperately trying to compose yourself after your realization. Should you tell him? No, absolutely not. Bad idea.

Why did this have to happen? Now you were even more miserable. Were you really so weak that you had to catch feelings?

“It’s going to be fine, you know,” he assured you. “I know it seems overwhelming, but by the end of the week we’ll be on our own and they can’t constantly be on our backs anymore,”

“Yeah,” you sighed, your breath stopping in your throat. “Do you think anyone will notice if I leave? I’m exhausted,”

“They probably will, unfortunately,” he looked out at the view. “But we can stay out here until they notice,”

“Thanks,” you grumbled. Your head was throbbing.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

You managed to survive the rest of the night, barely.

You tried to get some rest, you have a fitting tomorrow, and then all you have to do is wait for the big day.

You’ve been standing here for at least an hour, and you’re starting to get irritated. How long does it take to fit something? It looks fine.

You turn around again and stop breathing for a moment when you see Kyoya in the doorway. His hair is ruffled and he looks like he didn’t sleep at all, but there’s a smile on his face.

“I’d like to speak to my fiancé please,” he says.

You look away.

“Absolutely not! Don’t you know you’re not supposed to see each other’s outfits before the big day?” one of the tailors pipes up.

“Well, seeing as I already saw it, I don’t think it matters,” he motions for them to leave. “You’re dismissed,”

He waits until they’re gone before he approaches you, but by that time you’ve fallen down and started crying. You’re shaking on the edge of the platform you were standing on, your hands covering your face.

“You’ve been avoiding me all morning. What’s wrong?” he asks.

“This isn’t how it’s supposed to be,” you sniffle. “For everyone else this is the best time of their life. But it’s not for me,”

Kyoya crouches down in front of you.

He doesn’t cut in, so you keep going, “Look at me. I look great, I look just like how I wanted to as a kid, but it’s all wrong. Everything’s wrong. I thought I was okay with this, but I’m not. I hate this. I don’t hate you, but I hate this,”

You keep sobbing, trying to pretend he’s not there watching you. It’s not too hard actually, since you can barely see through the tears.

“Well, I suppose this might be the worst time to tell you what I was planning to tell you,” he tries not to laugh as not to be insensitive, but it comes out anyway.

“W-What?” you rub your eyes, seeing him a little clearer.

“I know this won’t fix anything, but I want you to know I do genuinely care about you. It was never part of the original agreement or plan, but I’ve come to feel more for you than I’ve felt for anyone. I just…I want you to know that. You’re not a tool to me anymore,” he takes a deep breath, “I love you,”

You stop crying for a moment, too shocked for the tears to keep flowing. Did he really just say that?

“I understand that you probably don’t feel the same, which is alright. I will still honor our original plan, get you everything you wanted, and allow you to leave whenever you please. But if you’ll have me as your husband, a real husband, you’re welcome to stay,”

The sobs break out again, barely able to get out the words, “I love you too,”

“You do? Really?” his eyes light up.

You nod vigorously, beaming through the tears, “Yes,”

“But you just said you hated this? That you were miserable?”

“Only because I thought you didn’t feel the same,”

“Oh,” he chuckles. “Well then,” he takes your hand and places his other on your cheek, looking into your eyes. “Will you marry me? Please?”

You laugh, “I guess,”

He smiles and pulls your face to his, kissing you softly. You take the initiative to deepen it, slithering your fingers into his tousled hair. He’s the last to pull away, and immediately pulls you back for more, even when you can barely breathe.

You can feel him smiling against your lips, his thumbs wiping all your tears away.

You thought you’d never know what it was like to be truly loved.

But now you do.

500 FOLLOWER EVENT: CONFESSIONS OF A WRITING FREAK

It’s finally here! First off, I would like to thank you guys so much for the support! I cannot believe we made it to 500, and that some of you have stuck with me for so long! So thanks to all my followers - old and new - and this event is all for you!

I said once on here that my username is based off an old wix blog I had years ago - Confessions of a Writing Freak - and so this event is based on this name! It’s a way for you guys to get to know a little about me (and hopefully I get to know a bit about you too), while also writing a ton of fic! So here’s how it’s gonna work!

Following the rules here are 20 “confessions”, or questions that are somehow related to a confession of sorts. As I go through the list, I’ll answer the question myself, and then write a fic based on the confession, with a character of your choice! And hopefully, the confession can spark some conversation - I’d love to hear your answers to some of the questions here too!

PLEASE READ THE RULES BEFORE REQUESTING :))

All requests should be sent in the form of asks to my inbox - after a prompt is requested, I will be crossing it out, and having them all in one place will make it easier to find which requests came first!

All requests contain two things - a prompt number corresponding to the confession you would like to request and a character you would like to be in the fic

Reader will be gender neutral.
