Tatsunoko's Classic Anime "Muteking" Reboot Project in The Works
Tatsunoko Production announced today that MUTEKING THE DANCING HERO, a reboot project based on its classic TV anime in the early 1980s, Tondemo Senshi Muteking (Muteking The Dashing Warrior), is now in the works, and that a voice actor audition for its protagonist character will be held this summer.

The sci-ci action comedy TV anime Tondemo Senshi Muteking was aired for 56 episodes from September
1980 to September 1981. Its story was set in a fictional city named Yon Francisco, which was inspired by
the real city of San Francisco in the US, and followed the hero Muteking's battles against the evil alien group
"Kurodako Brothers."
According to Tatsunoko, MUTEKING THE DANCING HERO is a reboot, not a remake of the original Muteking
anime. While inheriting the identity of the original, it will be updated boldly by the team of energetic designers
and artists to surpass the common sense of other anime that have been produced.
The voice actor audition will be hosted by HoriPro International, a major actor/voice actor agency that has
managed Ayaka Ohashi, Ibuki Kido, Azusa Tadokoro, Minori Chihara, and Akane Matsunaga. The winner of
the audition is guaranteed to make an exclusive contract with the agency and to make debut as a professional
voice actor and release character songs for the anime.
Participants must be between 15 and 22 years of age. Entries will be accepted between June 1 and July 19.
The final examination to choose the winner will be held on September 8, 2019.
As a TV anime, MUTEKING THE DANCING HERO is scheduled to premiere in 2020.
