how wayv's first kiss with you would be like
pairing: wayv x reader
kun
after a romantic dinner. he drives you home from taking you to your date with him at a fancy dinner he had arranged, wanting you to show how he really loves you and would want to take the relationship into the next step. he walks you to the front porch of your house, standing near the doorstep. before he says goodbye, he says how much he enjoyed the date, and you say the same. there is a still sound of silence of him staring at you. then, he leans in to capture your lips to his. the rhythm of your mouths moving against each other is slow, but good enough for the both of you to feel the butterflies in your stomachs. he smiles at you when you pull away, and then his hand reached for your own, kissing the back of your palm before he leaves the neighborhood. kun will never forget such a memorable moment.
ten
during a game of spin the bottle. at first he laughs, staring at the empty wine bottle landing in your direction. with the rest of the players anticipating, he isn't afraid to back out. he hates being called a coward. he makes no hesitation before smashing his lips against yours. there's still the taste of alcohol both of you consumed just moments ago. besides the liquor, he also feels drunk with the way he keeps pressing his lips deeper and his tongue swiping on your bottom lip as a permission for more access. ten merely forgets the audience watching him, focusing entirely to make you feel good and pleased. when he pulls away, he gets a good view of your lips, smeared and coated with his own saliva, and lipstick smudged from the corners of your mouth. seeing you in that state gives him a satisfied look on his face, a smug creeping up from his lips.
winwin
saying goodbye to him. sicheng is given the opportunity to finally pursue the passion he loves, but it hurts him to know that he needs to leave where he already finds and calls home—you. both of you stand before the pane glass doorframes of the airport, sicheng's hand holds onto the handle of his luggage, while the other never leaves yours. it's all going too fast. the grip on your hand tightens. you notice the way he's trying to hold to his emotions, how hard he's trying to stifle his sobs. he feels you return the same tightness on his hand, assuring him that everything will be fine. a hand slowly creeps up to gently touch his already stained cheeks. he's going to miss you, so much. sicheng's hand clasps around the hand where you touch him, pulling it down. and there, you feel his plump lips on yours. it's trembling, and of course, it's sad. you don't tell him to stay through your reciprocation, but instead, it tells him to go, to chase what he loves.
xiaojun
acting out a kiss scene. it's the first rehearsal of the play the casts are going to act in, including the two of you. it's no surprise when both of you find out to be the leads of the play. dejun thinks that it will go as smoothly as possible, given the fact that the two of you are comfortable with each other of everything, and you think so too. as all of you are reading the script, the director reminds you of the kiss scenes, so when the actual practice came, dejun tells himself that the kiss is and only for professional purposes. he composes himself before standing in front of you with a smile. you say your lines, enunciating them word for word with feelings to embody the character as he does the same. his hands reaches for your own just like what it says on the script, and wasting no time, he plants a kiss on your lips. you don't move, but he feels his stomach doing the somersaults. all he can think about at this very moment is your soft lips, your grip on his hand tightens, your eyelashes tickling his cheeks—then it's all gone when you pull away. looking at each other for a few seconds, a sudden fit of laughter bursts out from the two of you. both of you suppress your giggles when the director yells, telling you and dejun to stop laughing and concentrate on the script.
hendery
out of curiosity. he stares at you with a surprised expression on his face after hearing you ask how a kiss feels like. it's not like he doesn't know how to kiss someone as he had gained experiences from previous relationships, and clearly this was your first. his mind go dizzy when you ask him to kiss you. he isn't sure if it's only his mind playing him, but with a couple slaps across his face, it's not a dream. before kissing you, hendery makes sure to ask if you're still okay with the idea, never forgetting to seek for your consent. with a hand on your neck and the other to cup your cheek, your lips are on his. the lingering touch of your hands on his chest traveling around his neck causes him to smile in between the kiss. he also makes sure that you're satisfied with the kiss he shares with you, in a way that will make you feel good and relieve to know that you just had the best first kiss ever given by your own friend. hendery can't seem to sleep the following nights, replaying the scene over and over again, as he starts to fall in love with you.
yangyang
in the heat of the moment. he understands why you're mad at him for completely ruining your date with a person you recently talked to. yangyang warns you over again that the guy isn't good for you, that his background isn't something that's worth to be with. he watches you pace around the room, telling him that he has no right to deny a relationship you want to have, telling him that he should mind his own business. he couldn't do that. he knows what's best for you because he cares for your happiness. if it weren't for him, you will be trapped in a toxic unbearable relationship that might emotionally and mentally break you. what he wants for you to realize that there is one who could actually treat and love you better—him. yangyang grabs you by the shoulders, snapping you out. you break free from his tight grip, wanting to turn around and leave the room. that is until you feel his hand tug your arm back to face him as he finally smashes his lips against yours. the kiss is nowhere near sweet and full of passion. it's rough, lips smacking against each other, teeth scraping the skin and muscle of your tongues, and short hot breaths filling the quiet room. he's angry, you're angry, but neither of you pull away.

Naughty Boy | Wong Kunhang (Hendery)
Summary: Your naughty boyfriend Hendery gives you a hickey.
Genre: Boyfriend!Hendery, fluff
Word Count: <1k
You were leaning over the bathroom sink, putting the finishing swipes of mascara on your lashes.
You swept your hair to the side. You noticed a small bruise on the side of your neck.
“A hickey?” you shouted. “Really, Hendery? What are you, twelve?”
Your boyfriend Hendery sauntered into the bathroom.
He was naked, apart from the faded boxers that sat dangerously low on his slim hips. He had a toothbrush hanging out of his mouth, and his chestnut hair was in disarray.
Hendery smirked, mouth full of toothpaste.
“That’s right, baby, wear me on your neck like that.”
“What were you thinking?” You groaned, patting your neck fiercely with foundation. “You know I have an important meeting today.”
“It was an accident,” Hendery said, coming up behind you and wrapping his strong, muscled arms around your body. He leant in towards your ear. “Plus, I didn’t hear you complaining when I was giving it to you last night.”
You let out a small sigh. You could still remember the feeling of Hendery’s plump lips kissing every inch of your skin. You could still remember the thrill as he grabbed your ass and locked your hips with his. You could still hear his heavy breaths in your ear.
You opened your eyes, looking at the reflection of the two of you in the mirror. You gazed at Hendery’s tanned arms, his broad shoulders. You marvelled at the handsome, imperfect man that was all yours.
You spun around and pushed your mouth onto Hendery’s. He kissed you back eagerly, pressing his hips against yours.
“Aren’t you going to be late?” Hendery said, between kisses.
You caught Hendery’s lower lip between your teeth, earning a growl from him.
“We’ve got six minutes,” you said. “Think you can work with that?”
Hendery grabbed your waist and picked you up, holding your entire weight with one arm. Your heart soared.
Hendery grinned. “You bet.”

what wayv seeks in a relationship
GROUP ↬ ot6 wayv
WARNINGS ↬ none, pure fluff <33 maybe some angst
AUTHOR’S NOTE ↬ i did the wayv version !!! the dream one blew up and i'll be doing a 127 one soon, but i thought i'd post this in the meantime as well. although wayv is my ult group i feel like i struggle more with finding out their exact personalities and what they like. i hope this is sufficient enough for you all though <33
Qian Kun
kun doesn't believe in taking things lightly. he wants to make sure he's found the right partner before letting himself fall in love. he values a partner that finds traditional values important. someone who will always be there for him, not just when it's convenient. kun prefers someone who is grounded in reality rather than overly idealistic. he also needs a partner who makes him feel appreciated and understood. a partner who is easy-going is also a good balance to his more responsible nature, might also work well with him. someone that might encourage him to take risks and will be there to pick him up if he falls.
Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul
ten places a lot of importance on establishing meaningful relationships. although he may not act like it, he's generally more reserved so he does appreciate a deeper connection. ten likes someone who will challenge him intellectually and is suited towards a partner that is open-minded and willing to explore new things. he's attracted to people who have something unique to offer in this life. ten values personal growth, so he would appreciate someone who is supportive of his journey towards self-actualization. sometimes it's difficult for ten to relax and enjoy the current moment, so he appreciates a partner that will help him find peace and serenity.
Dong SiCheng
winwin believes that a relationship isn't a passive commitment, but it's a way for both partners to learn, grow and develop as time passes on. he wants a partner who will understand his uniqueness and individualism. they must also really understand his sensitive side and the nuances of his personality. winwin appreciates a partner that will look out for him and make sure he feels heard. he may come off as aloof at times, but deep down winwin is a whirlwind of emotions, so he needs a partner that won't be overwhelmed by these intense emotions. since winwin is a free-spirit he values open-mindedness and independence in a partner.
Xiao DeJun
xiaojun strives to connect to people in meaningful ways. he wants to find someone who he can completely devote himself to, who also accepted him as he is and who respects his freedom. xiaojun also needs a partner who understands his sensitive nature. he is also attracted to someone who has a unique way of thinking about things. a partner who can provide a sense of stability and security is also something he looks for. he's not necessarily needing someone to meet his level of emotional intensity, but rather a partner who can provide a grounding presence that will make them feel at home. xiaojun is also drawn to those with very complex personalities.
Wong KunHang
hendery seeks constant growth, both individually and relationally. hendery needs a partner who can provide emotional support and understanding, since he often gets caught up in his own thoughts and feelings. he feels like he is often misunderstood by those around him, so one of the most important aspects to him is that his partner understands him. hopefully they understand his constant need for adventure and growth. hendery has a great sense of humor, so he wants a partner who can match his wit and also make him laugh. he doesn't necessarily need someone who matches his energy levels, but someone who encourages him to follow his passions and dreams.
Liu YangYang
yangyang dislikes mind games in a relationship, he wants a relationship that is genuine and honest. he's not averse to casual dating, just not his priority, since he prefers to form meaningful connections with those on the same wavelength as him. he has a low boredom threshold, so he needs a certain level of mental stimulation in order to be content, and someone who can push him outside of the box is good for him. yangyang may also sometimes find it difficult to stay on track so having a partner who can keep him motivated will benefit him in the long run. he also values those who are patient and trustworthy as he hopes his partner will allow him the time and space to open up.

꒰ 𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐊𝐈𝐒𝐒 ꒱ 黃冠亨
summary : hendery was your bestfriend, and dealer, but one night you start to see clearly through the high
genre : fluff, friends to lovers, hendery x afab!reader, stoner!hendery, slice of life tws : language, drug use (weed), shotgunning, kissing author notes : nct will always be stoners in my mind word count : 1k
the air was still thick with the lingering humidity from the day; so thick that you practically felt like you could slice your hand through it. you even tried a couple times, swearing that you could see a gap from where it had passed. it earned a deep chuckle from the man pressed so close to your side you could feel him inside your skin—or maybe that was the high that made you feel like that.
you watched as a long puff of smoke expelled from his mouth and nose, reaching so far out into the night sky until it eventually dissipated. he took one more, simulating the same breath as before, then holding the small, half-smoked blunt out for you to take.
and, you did, feeling a wave of competitiveness wash over you. “hendery, watch this!” you all but shouted (it was barely over a regular speaking voice, but through the silence of the night it echoed off).
his movements were slow but with purpose as he turned to his side, leaning on his forearm to face you. he hummed, eyes fixed on your lips as they wrapped around the cylinder in preparation to inhale. you felt the familiar burn (it wasn’t your first time getting high—especially not with him) soon after coat your lungs. he had given you your first: first taste, first blunt, first edible, and first dealer all those years ago.
he’d been your friend so long that you had forgotten all the fine details, but he was always there when you needed him to be.
and, today had been particularly stressful. you had the closing shift, but even at the early morning hours you knew you could get your bestest friend in the whole wide world to come lay out on your deck with you. you also knew he’d bring you stress relief; in the form of himself... and illicit drugs.
you had forgotten to tell him what to look for—call it a cloudy brain—and when you tried, the smoke poured out of your mouth and right at his face. you watched him fight back with inhaling.
“what was that, y/n? he laughed again. "a poor attempt at a shotgun?"
you humphed. “shut up. i actually learned a trick! watch carefully.” you finally explained, taking a long drag, and handing it off. he took it and watched as you sat up, blowing the smoke out, swirling the hand that you weren’t leaning on like a wild tornado. it didn’t do anything but make the smoke scatter faster—it especially didn’t do what you had non-verbally promised hendery you learned.
yet, you lied anyway, exaggerating an excitement. “see! see! did you see that?” you put your hand to your chest proudly. “yeah, i’m pretty awesome… no need to applaud, i know.”
he hummed again, folding his arms to act as a cushion between his skull and the hardwood. you stared at him for a moment—and he did up at you, too—before his eyes just closed. you gawked at him (the audacity?), grumbling as you fell onto your back again.
you turned on your side, staring at his unsuspecting figure. you watched as his chest rose and fell in rhythm—you even swear you could see each breath he took, and his heart beating gently. he looked... pretty?
you swallowed a chuckle, almost appalled that the thought had even crossed your mind at all. maybe the high really was getting to you; maybe he had brought something new—another first—that would explain the out of character observations.
but still, you noticed. you noticed his sharp jaw, and defined nose. you noticed how his dark hair complimented his clear skin. you noticed how he looked so peaceful, and it made you wonder if he had ever noticed you. you wondered what was going on inside his head right now. was it just zebras jumping through ice cream hills, or was he mostly clear-minded? you even almost asked, breaking the comfortable silence, but you poked his cheek instead.
you continued to dig into his dimple as he cracked a smile. "what the hell?" he asked through a laugh. "what do you want? the blunt? you can use your words, y/n."
you nodded. "yeah, give me it." he reached over his torso, his hand coming into view with the mostly smoked blunt. you took it. "i learned another trick."
his eyebrows rose in curiosity. "oh yeah? if it's anything like your last one, it'll be hard to beat."
you rolled your eyes, taking in a deep breath, and watching the end fizzle away more. you sat up once again, staring down at your bestfriend who kept his attention on you, slightly amused. you ushered for him to sit up too, and for a while he just kept asking you what? until eventually you grabbed at his shirt. he got the hint with another chuckle that for some reason made your stomach twist.
"what is it?" he asked, leaning back on his hands. "if you hold it in any longer you're going to choke."
he was right, and that's why your actions were quick, making you slightly dizzy. you got up onto your knees, leaning into hendery's face—slim cheeks between your forefinger and thumb—and pressing so his lips would part. they did, and you opened yours to let the smoke once again pour out at him. his eyes never did leave yours as he sucked in a shaky breath, the intoxicated stare making you weak.
"poor attempt?" you mocked quietly, lips brushing with feather-light touches; almost as if they were forbidden. and, as you were pulling away, his hand quickly tugged you by the neck back to him, fully connecting the distance.
your eyes closed, your stomach twisting once again. he had always been the first: the first person you got high with. the first person you called your bestfriend. the first person you noticed in a crowded room. and, though he wasn't your first kiss—or boyfriend, frankly—you feared if it went further, he would be the last.
reblogs, likes and comments are greatly appreciated! thank u!

New Ride | Hendery
Me inspirei em “New Ride” do Wayv, e além de membros do nct, mencionei a Giselle e o Suho.
♕ Palavras: 1.2k
Boa leitura, docinhos!! 👑
— Relaxa e aproveita a festa, vai?
Você soltou a mão dele, sentindo o coração e a respiração acelerarem, apesar do espartilho te apertar.
— Ei, você tá me ouvindo?

🪻Please save Mr. Fishy🪻
✨Pairing: Hendery x vet!gn!reader ✨Prompt: You're a vet and he's pleading with you to save his goldfish since you're the only vet he's visited that hasn't asked him if he doesn't just want to go and buy another goldfish for three dollars. ✨Word count: 1.4k ✨Genre: fluff, humor, non idol au ☀️Authors note: I've never really written humor before, I'm not even sure I did a good job so do let me know if it was good or not. Or if you just enjoyed this one shot or not?🥰 Also I am not a vet nor a vet student so take what I've written with a grain of salt lol. I am no expert when it comes to fishes and vet terms😅
Today was not like any other day at the clinic. It was unusually calm for a vet clinic and maybe you should enjoy the serenity which is often times unusual for you. Your colleagues had gone for their lunch breaks since it was so calm with not a soul in sight and you decided that sorting through the boxes would be a good thing to do now. Sort out what would be necessary to keep and what could actually be thrown away. Your colleague, Sam, had mentioned that everyone always said they'd sort the boxes out but no one had the time nor energy to do so.
"Let's see what we got then." You mumbled to yourself as you put on the radio, enjoying the slow tune of Celine Diones It's all coming back back to me now, the slow piano in the begging matching the calmness as you hummed along while pouring everything on the front desk. Pens, erasers, bobby pins, receipts, pieces of chocolate and much more fell out of the box. You started by going through all of the receipts, some of them were simple lunch receipts that your colleagues must have put in the boxes when they had bought lunch. You threw them all away in the trash can, they were more than a month old and it was hard to imagine anyone really would need a month old food receipt. Next came organizing all of the paperclips, there were way more than you had anticipated but it was nice finally having a lot of them again after going months not figuring out where all of them had gone.
The chocolate you put in a little bowl and put at the front of the desk to give to any owners coming in that might need some extra reassurance or something to calm their nerves as their beloved pet was taking in for surgery or a check up. Just as you were collecting all of the colorful pens to put away in the pen holder you saw outside of the big windows o your clinic a man rushing with incredible speed, you could not help but follow his eyes as he rushed towards the clinics doors, almost slipping past them only managing to stop himself by grabbing onto the door handle simultaneously as he slipped down because of his speed.
The wet pavement and the autumn leaves probably made it even more slippery and from what you could see and hear he had let out a shout in surprise whilst looking down at something he was holding. You started to clear some space on the desk in case he were to enter and just as you looked up again the door flew open and the man who had brown hair and a khaki green autumn jacket on barged in looking around until he saw you. "Help! Please you have to help me!" He said before rushing up to you and putting something on the desk.
"Please help save Mr. Fishy!! I cannot live without him! He's my best friend and number one supporter please I need to have him live longer!!"
You stared at him in shock not expecting him to barge in and hurriedly put a fishbowl on your desk, a fishbowl which had a very sad looking goldfish in it.
"Oh umm hello? Of course I can try and help you? What seems to be the problem with umm.. Mr. Fishy?" You asked him before looking down at the fish to see if you could figure out what the problem might be.
"No please I cannot buy another one for three doll-wait what?! You-you'll help me??" This made you look up at the man who looked at you in shock.
"Of course, we're a vet clinic and while a gold fish usually isn't a part of our visitors I cannot say no to you? I'll do my best to help your fish if you know what the problem might be?"
"Oh thank you thank you for wanting to help him! Everyone I've gone to have just told me to go and buy another one for three dollars. He suddenly started to swim weirdly and he hasn't been eating properly for a few days and I'm really worried. Just please do whatever it takes to help him. He's my favorite fish please and the snails in his tank would be so sad if he suddenly disappeared and the guppys and the discus will all be so sad if he passes away hes like the boss of the aquarium everyones best friend so please please please help him!!" The man was practically leaning over on the desk begging for you to help his fish and you couldn't help but feel bad for him. He obviously cared about the fish a lot.
"Let me take him inside to the vet room and check on him okay? You wait out here and try to calm down and then we can fix with payment and such after it." You gave him a smile as he thanked you profusely before allowing you to take the fishbowl with his little fish he cared for into the other room. As you walked in you put the bowl down on a table and put on some gloves so you can handle the fish carefully.
"Let's figure out what is wrong with you my little friend." You mumble for yourself as you put your hands into the bowl carefully to look closer at him.
-
It took you a while to figure out what was wrong with the little guy, he was having a case of fin rot on one of his fins, at first it wasn't very visible until you looked closer, you had to remove a part of his fin-nippers and use some anti-fungal treatment to make sure that he doesn't get infected again. When you walked out with the little fish the man stood up and rushes to the counter staring at you with hope.
"You do not have to worry, Mr. Fishy is alright. I had to remove a part of his fin-nippers because he had a case of fin rot. I've given him treatment but what you need to do to make sure hes okay in your tank at home is to improve the water quality in the tank and feed him vitamin c enriched food and he should be good to go."
"Oh thank you thank you thank you!!" He bowed towards you multiple times "What's your name?? I need to have a name for Mr. Fishy's savior!!" He stares at you with grateful eyes.
"My name is y/n. I'm glad I could help you and Mr. Fishy."
"Thank you again! I'm Hendery by the way! I'll pay however much it cost and I'll pay you back for your kindness."
You thanked him and told him he really did not have to pay you back a part from paying the fee. He payed and told you he'd pay you back for sure in the future before going back with his fish and the new food for his friend.
-a few days later-
The doorbell rang as the door opened again and when you looked up from the desk you saw Hendery walking in beaming as he was holding a cup walking towards you.
"I told you I'd pay you back! I got you a cup of hot chocolate! I wasn't sure If you'd like coffee but most people like chocolate so I got that!" He smiled as he handed you the cup.
"Thank you Hendery it wasn't really necessary for you to get me something I promise." you responded as you took the cup
"I wanted to okay? I gotta go but I'll see you around!" He waved as he ran out of the door again and when you looked at the cup you could see he had written a little note thanking you and asking if you wanted to hang out in the future with his number written under a little fish drawing.
You smiled as you took up your phone to put in his number, saving him as Mr. Fishy Hendery before deciding to send a text asking if he was free to hang out next Friday, smiling even brighter when you immediately got a text back saying that Friday would be perfect.
Maybe it wasn't so bad after all to help save Mr. Fishy.

Request for @tenswife (Yandere WayV Maknaes) 4.1k, yandere, asylum patients, needles, drugs, restraints, manipulation, delusions, hallucinations, choking, bruising, kidnapping, loss of mental stability (@starillusion13)
“Stay away from the triplets.”
That wasn’t something you wanted to hear on your first day. All it did was make you aware of how dangerous this place was. That’s what you thought anyway, an asylum isn’t exactly a place for sane people, and this wasn’t making you feel better. Even with that in mind you were told it would be a good idea to get some help, professional help that is. The stress from work was really getting to you as of late, and it was becoming noticeable. You needed a break, and you needed to do better for yourself. A place like this had counselors, people who could understand your issues and help, so you figured it wouldn’t be a bad idea to check yourself in for a few days.
You had taken the time off work, and your friends knew where you’d be so no one had to worry about you. Once you had signed all the paperwork and changed your clothes one of the nurses showed you around. Everyone here was getting help for different reasons, and some patients were more extreme than others, so depending on one’s condition, they’d be on a certain floor. Since you were there for simple counseling and stress relief remedies you’d be on the second floor. You’d have full access to the second floor, and what it offered, but would be unable to enter any other floor. Only the staff could get to multiple floors.
Although there was a common area on the third floor where all types of patients could intermingle under supervision. It was meant to make sure no one, not even the more difficult cases, felt so isolated from the rest of the world. If you wanted to be there you needed a staff escort and would be assigned a supervisor. Visiting this place was part of the tour, and as you were looking around your gaze was drawn to something. There were three boys sitting together in a corner, drawing with crayons and giggling. They seemed to be childish despite being grown adults. The nurse realized what you were looking at and gave you a warning.
The triplets, as she called them, were nothing but trouble. They weren’t related to one another, and were admitted at different times. Of course the nurse couldn’t tell you what floor or what reasons they were admitted for, but they told you those three were dangerous. You were still curious, but such a warning in this place was something to take seriously. You just wanted to get better, so there was no reason to take an interest in other patients. For the first few days as you settled in you remained on your designated floor, even making a friend with your next door roommate. They had only been there for a week longer than you, but they knew quiet a lot.
“There are five floors in total.” Mina explained. “The first one as you know is the public one for people to get evaluated, or come visit their loved ones. Second floor, where we are, is for those of us who are sane and autonomous, and can help themselves with their own care. Third floor is where the common area is, as well as where the long term patients like us stay. Fourth floor is for those who are mentally unstable, and the fifth floor… that’s where they keep the psychos.”
“Noted.”
Since you were doing well, seeing a counselor and participating in stress relieving activities, you thought it would be alright to visit the common area and see what it had to offer. You went up with Mina, being reminded of the rules and regulations to follow while there. The two of you found some board games to play while also watching some TV. It all seemed peaceful and relaxed, but then you noticed the triplets in the corner again.
“Mina.”
“Hm?”
“The triplets… do you know what floor they’re from?”
“Fifth.”
“Wait, what? I thought the fifth floor was for psychos, and they’re allowed here?”
“Yeah. What’s crazier is that those three come from well-off families and the rumors are they harassed girls and shit. They all got admitted at different times but stuck together for some reason. They behave so they’re allowed here. Just ignore them.”
“Right…”
They didn’t draw attention to themselves so it was fairly easy to ignore the triplets and just focus on whatever you were doing. Although one day you caught one of the triplets staring at you. When you met his gaze you kind of froze, but what sent chills down your spine was the fact you couldn’t read his face at all. Maybe he was just zoning out, but either way you moved away once you broke eye contact. You thought that would be the end of things, but it was only the beginning.
Since many of the patients gathered in the common area, weekly and daily announcements were done there. You were sitting off to the side, mainly alone, when a boy slowly approached you. He was very shy, and had a bit of trouble making eye contact, but he was certainly trying. He seemed familiar to you, but you couldn’t quite place it. He was probably someone who was always around in the common area you just never really noticed them. You didn’t know his situation, and he didn’t seem like a bad person so you left him alone. That is until he managed to speak up.
“You’re really pretty… what’s a pretty girl like you doing here…”
The question was a bit surprising, but you figured there was no harm in answering.
“Things have gotten a bit difficult for me, and I need a break. Plus it’s important to look after my mental health, so I’m here.”
“So… what do you do when-”
“YangYang.”
One of the orderlies came over, grabbing the boy and pulling him away from you. The whole thing confused you until you saw where the boy was put. He was in the corner with two others and you realized he was one of the triplets. It sent chills down your spine and you told yourself to be more careful next time.
🖤
YangYang gave a nasty glare to the orderly when they pulled him away from you. He knew part of the rules for them being the common area was to keep to themselves, but one little conversation should have been allowed. He returned to his group with a pout.
“So, so!” Hendery cheered. “What’s she like?”
A smile appeared on YangYang’s face. “She’s nice, and so pretty up close.”
“We should have her.” Xiaojun said.
🖤
You tried not to let that interaction bother you too much, and continued about your day as normal. You’ve never really had any trouble with anything, but that night you woke up, having heard some weird sounds. You groggily looked around your room until you realized you weren’t alone. You were ready to scream but someone put their hand over your mouth. Two people held you down and then another crawled on top of you, it was YangYang. He smiled down at you, a hand caressing your cheek.
“You’re really pretty… can we finish our conversation from before? What do you do in your career?”
The hand over your mouth slowly moved away. There really was no point in screaming or struggling. They had gotten into your room somehow when it shouldn’t be possible. For your safety and the safety of the others there was a curfew to follow, and all patients were locked in their room. Yet somehow they had gotten in undetected. It made you incredibly nervous and fearful, but you still managed to answer.
“Just… just a corporate job… nothing special…”
“You don’t seem to like it, so why do you stay?”
“I.. it pays the bills… and it’s not a difficult job…”
“Then why are you here? You said you were looking after your health. If it’s not a bad job or a hard one, then what’s wrong?”
“What… what about you… I… I don’t…”
“Oh, yeah, we never properly introduced ourselves, did we?” YangYang chuckled, gesturing to himself then the others. “I’m YangYang, this is Hendery and that’s Xiaojun. It’s nice to meet you.”
“Very nice.” Xiaojun added.
“I… so then… what’s… why are you here…”
“Our families didn’t want us around, and this was the best way to make us disappear.”
“Oh…”
You felt a bit sad upon hearing that. Although while you were distracted with your own thoughts you didn’t notice them moving around until you felt a pinch on your neck.
“Sleep well.”
🖤
You woke up in the morning with a big of a headache, but you didn’t let it bother you too much. If anything you were more concerned over the weird dream you had last night. As you went to get breakfast you found Mina.
“Morning.”
“Hey, good morning.”
“Did you sleep well?”
“Fine, why?”
“I thought I heard some noises last night, and I think I woke up but I’m not so sure.”
“Well, I didn’t hear anything. Slept through the night like a baby.”
“Right… do you know anything about the triplets? Besides what you’ve already told me.”
“Not really. They’re just a bunch of weirdos, there’s no reason to ask about them.”
“Yeah… you’re sure you didn’t hear anything?”
“No, why? Did you?”
“I mean… I’m sure I woke up cause I heard something.”
“Well, even if we’re locked in our rooms, the nurses and orderlies do still roam the halls. There’s nothing to worry about.”
“I guess… none of the patients can access other floors… can they?”
“No. Only staff have clearance. Are you okay?”
“Yeah, yeah, just a weird night that’s left me to question a lot.”
You ended up chalking it up to being a dream and going about your day as normal. You figured you would have weird dreams since you were in such a different place, so it shouldn’t be something to worry about. Except it happened again the next night. There was nothing in particular that woke you up but when you opened your eyes you saw the triplets in your room. YangYang was sitting at the foot of your bed, Hendery at your little desk and Xiaojun sitting on the floor doodling with some paper.
“Do you have a boyfriend?” Xiaojun asked.
“I… uh… I haven’t dated in a while…”
“Can I be your boyfriend!?” Hendery asked.
“What, no, I’ll be her boyfriend.” Xiaojun countered. “I asked first.”
“No you didn’t.”
“Yes I did.”
“I’ll be her boyfriend.” YangYang added.
“No!”
The three argued among themselves for a moment before settling down. They were sharing glances and seemed to be communicating in silence, then they looked at you.
“Can we all be your boyfriends?” YangYang asked.
“Uh… I’m not really looking to be in a relationship right now.”
You weren’t sure what the response to that would be, but it was quite frightening. For a minute they were all quiet, and then they sprung to life. They pinned you down and started tearing at your clothes. Before you could scream a hand was over your mouth and then everything changed. You shot up in bed, panting and looking around in a panic. You were still in your room, but you were alone, and it was clearly daytime. Everything seemed to be fine, but your mind was still racing.
You asked Mina about hearing any noises last night, but once again she heard nothing. You were still freaked out so you avoided the common area for a while. Although you found yourself having some trouble sleeping. You were scared to do so, and triple checked your room to make sure the door was locked and you were alone. You did eventually manage to fall asleep, but randomly woke up at night. You were relieved to find yourself alone, but horrified to see your door wide open.
Against your better judgment you got up and carefully stepped out of your room. You looked down the halls but no one seemed to be around. So you called for a nurse or orderly, wondering if anyone was there. You were about to go back to your room when you saw someone approaching, thinking it was a staff member, but when they got closer you realized you were wrong. Xiaojun skipped over to you with a big smile on your face.
“Hello, welcome, it’s so good to see you.”
“What… what happened… how…”
“Now you can be with us.”
“What?”
Xiaojun gestured to a sign on the wall and you felt your heart drop. According to the number on the wall you were on the fifth floor and not the second. Your first instinct was to run, to find someway out, but of course you were chased. The boy had caught up to you and trapped you in their arms. You screamed and struggled and then you were back in your room, morning sunlight peeking in. It had been another bad dream, and far worse than the last. You weren’t going to get any better if you couldn’t sleep so you spoke to your counselor and managed to get some sleeping pills prescribed. You managed to sleep well that night, but it was short lived.
The next night you woke up to see the door to your room wide open, although you couldn’t get up. You knew all the beds in the asylum had restraints on them, but you never expected yours to be used. You struggled and tried to break free, but there was no getting out of these restraints. Then you saw those three walk into your room. You immediately shut your eyes, telling yourself that this all had to be a dream. With the sleeping pills, weird dreams were probably a side effect.
“Are you having fun?” Hendery asked.
You tried to pay them no attention, wanting to wake up from this nightmare.
“This is just a dream… just a dream…”
“Aww that’s sad to hear, but we can change that.”
You felt another pinch at your neck, and your world melted to black. When you opened your eyes again you saw the morning light in your room, and you could move around freely. The nightmare stuck with you though, like there was this sense of paranoia following you. Everything was making you feel uneasy, and you were suspicious of everything. That led to a breakdown, or so you were told, since the orderlies had to restrain you and sedate you. Because of that incident you wound up getting moved to the fourth floor. It was the last thing you wanted, but you weren’t in control of your health here, at least not fully.
You wound up seeing another counselor from there. They asked about the breakdown and what caused it. You were nervous to admit the truth but were told that if you lied to yourself it wouldn’t help you get any better. You knew they were right so you told the truth about your dreams and how they left you feeling. You were afraid they weren’t just dreams and if they were you couldn’t understand why you were freaking out so bad.
“You’re in a new environment, and even though you know you are safe here there are still many unknowns. I understand the situation surrounding the triplets may be unnerving, but they are always under supervision, and not allowed on any other floors. They’ve shown good behavior that’s allowed them access to the common area but that is all, and that can be revoked at any moment.”
You figured you could be more at ease here after speaking with the counselor. The fourth floor was far more secure than the second, more so considering who was right above you. Besides, there was a lot more focus on you and your individual care so you certainly felt better about yourself in no time. The one-on-one counseling was also really good for you.
“I don’t really understand why I kept dreaming about them…”
“Well, they are real and restricted in their movements, which perhaps reminds you of your own situation. Despite being well off you are still living with struggles, and surely here you’ve found things more easier. I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t feel like going home.”
“Why would you say that?”
“You are here to improve your health, and perhaps you haven’t been shown care in your actual life the way you have received it here. Which does bring up the question, is there something that hasn’t been going well in your life?”
“I… I was just working really hard… thinking I was gonna get a promotion… I failed on that end… so I guess I’m just feeling stuck… and I didn’t do much to help myself until I hit my breaking point…”
“Burnout needs more than two weeks of recovery. All this could be your own call for help.”
“I suppose that makes sense…”
You had a lot to think about, and a lot of time too. For the time being you weren’t allowed back in the common area. So you had a lot of time to yourself. You’d eat alone in your room, and found out that the people on this floor were just as friendly, if not more. Although at night you definitely heard noises. Staff roaming the halls and other patients having difficulty sleeping. At least this time you knew you weren’t just hearing things.
“Pretty girl…”
Except for the night you began to hear voices. You woke up and saw those boys again, but you told yourself it was just a dream.
“You’re not real.”
“Are you sure about that?”
“I’m just imagining things… you’re all from the fifth floor… and dangerous…”
“If you say so, we can help you sleep better though.”
You felt the bed dip and opened your eyes to find YangYang on top of you. Before you could say anything his hands were around your throat, choking you out.
“You must be crazy and dumb to think we’re not real.”
“We’re gonna drive you insane so you never leave this place.” Xiaojun added.
“Cause what we want, we get.” Hendery stated.
You couldn’t get YangYang off you, struggling underneath him until you passed out. When you woke in the morning you felt an ache around your throat. You got up and when you looked in the mirror you could see the bruises on your neck. You had no way of hiding the truth, so of course it was brought up in your daily session. You weren’t going to lie, the proof was obvious.
“Those triplets did this to me! They snuck into my room and YangYang choked me! They tried to kill me!” You were freaking out. “I’m not safe here. I need to leave. I know early release is allowed for my situation and-”
“It’s actually not.”
“Huh? When I came here the-”
“You need to go through a reevaluation given your change in situation. From there we-”
“I am not staying here! Those three have been messing with me since I arrived and-”
“Please calm down. You’re letting your emotions-”
“Look at my neck! You think I did this to myself?”
“That is still a possibility as-”
“Let me out!”
Of course the orderlies were called and you wound up being dragged back to your room and restrained. You wanted nothing more than to leave this place and now they were telling you that you couldn’t. You wouldn’t stop your screaming and wound up sedated, falling asleep for a while. When you woke up later you had calmed down, taking a moment to think of your next move. You called for an orderly, and they undid the restraints. Then you demanded your phone call. You could have used the phone whenever back on the second floor, but here you only got a call once a week. There were a list of people to talk to, but you could only think of one person.
“Hello?”
“Ten… I don’t know what happened but-”
“Who are you talking to?” You turned around to find Xiaojun. “The line is dead.”
“What?”
The sound of the dial tone slowly faded in, and your eyes went wide. You turned back to the phone, trying to dial the number again but there was nothing. You were starting to hyperventilate. You looked back for Xiaojun but he was nowhere to be found. Your vision was starting to blur and you collapsed to the ground. You couldn’t really tell what was real or what was fake anymore. You felt like you were losing your mind and eventually the darkness swallowed you up.
🖤
You slowly opened your eyes, and even if you were awake you could tell it was nightfall. As you sat up you saw that this wasn’t your room, but another place entirely. You weren’t sure if this facility had solitary confinement type rooms, but then again your door was wide open. You carefully got out of bed and walked towards the door. This was probably all just some dream. When you got out into the hall you found it eerily quiet, and rather dark.
“Hello! Is anyone there!”
Might not be a good idea to yell into the emptiness, but you couldn’t help it. Your eyes scanned your surroundings and then you realized where you were. This was the fifth floor. You immediately ran. You didn’t want to stay here and you had to find an exit. You really had no idea where you were going when suddenly you came upon a very peculiar scene.
“Good. You’re awake.”
The only common area you knew of was on the third floor, and yet this looked familiar. It was spacious and seemed to have a lot of activities, but what stood out was the emptiness and occupants. The triplets were playing video games, all kinds of junk food and snacks surrounding them. It was just them and no one else. Not a single staff member in sight.
“What… what’s going on…” They all laughed. “What’s happening…”
“You forget what we told you.” YangYang said. “What we want, we get.”
“But… I… I don’t…”
“Don’t get us wrong. We are legally locked up here.” Hendery commented. “Yet money is power. So we’ve made the most of this place.”
“It’s more like home.” Xiaojun added. “And we’ve wanted some company.”
“No… no this isn’t right…”
You took a step back, intending to run off and find an exit but YangYang quickly came over to you. He took your hand and dragged you over to where they were, forcing you to sit down. Next thing you knew Hendery was pressing a glass to your lips and tilting your head back, forcing you to drink this mystery liquid. It didn’t taste awful but you found yourself coughing and gasping for breath afterwards.
“What… what was that?”
You soon got an answer to your question as you began to feel a bit dizzy, your vision blurring and gradually fading in and out. Xiaojun came over to your side and had you lay down, letting you rest your head in his lap. He looked down on you with a smile, gently petting your head. Hendery also feeding you some snacks which you lazily ate. Although even in your dazed state you knew what was going on was wrong.
“I… I have to… leave…”
“You won’t be leaving anytime soon.” Hendery informed. “After all, you clearly had a mental breakdown.”
“And you were moved to the fifth floor.” YangYang stated. “No visits, no real records, you’re basically locked away in here with us.”
“Which isn’t bad at all.” Xiaojun explained. “We can do whatever we want here! Which means we can totally make you crazy on paper and in real life.”
The three laugh and you try to make a move to get up but get held in place, starting to find it difficult to move or even think.
“Things are better this way for all of us.” YangYang said. “It’s what we wanted. No more worries and responsibilities, and that goes for you too.”
“We’re free to just live our lives however we want.” Hendery added. “Doesn’t that sound great.”
“We’ll take good care of you.” Xiaojun reassured. “So just be happy, we got a great adventure ahead of us.”
You had certainly been drugged, and you had no idea if this was a dream or your reality. Either way you had to admit there was a sense of peace with losing your mind. Maybe you should figure out your situation and put yourself back together but for now you were content existing as is. You weren’t alone after all.

Everything is Fine - Hendery x Reader ONESHOT
Pairing: Hendery x Reader
Word Count: 7,694
Warnings: thriller, being held against your will(?), obsessive behavior
Summary: 🎃 Halloween Special 🎃 Y/n attends a Halloween party with her friends, but what starts as a normal night starts to feel...off. But luckily the party's host is there to keep her company, right?
A/N: Was I inspired by Hendery's goofy ass Halloween costume from 2021...no
did I add it into the plot anyways...yes
this is not the first Hendery fic I've written, but it IS the first I've posted. I had this idea for a while now, just chilling in my head, and I thought it would be perfect to write for a Halloween special, cause slay!
I hope you enjoy this one, as I enjoyed writing it 💚
-
The music pulsed through the crowded house, a deep bassline that vibrated in Y/n’s chest as she stood near the entrance, scanning the room. People were laughing, their costumes a wild mix of horror and humor, faces painted with skulls, fake blood, and cheap masks. She hadn’t really wanted to come, but her friend had insisted, dragging her along to the supposed biggest Halloween party of the year at some random University dudes house.
Y/n adjusted the sleeves of her costume, feeling a bit out of place but determined to enjoy the night. She clutched her cup, already half-empty with some brightly colored concoction she didn’t recognize. It was strong, judging by the slight buzz that tingled at the edges of her mind.
It wasn't that Y/n wasn’t a party person, she actually enjoyed parties every now and then. But today was just an off day for her.
Her friend had already disappeared into the crowd, leaving Y/n to fend for herself. She wasn’t sure what to do next, join the throng on the makeshift dance floor, or maybe find a corner and people-watch. The place was nice, though. Too nice, really. The grand entryway and the wide, high-ceilinged rooms made her feel like she had stepped into a mansion. It seemed way too luxurious for just a Halloween party.
But, everything was fine.
She took a sip from her cup, trying to focus on the laughter around her, the clinking of glasses, and the chatter of the partygoers. No need to be so tense, she told herself. This was supposed to be fun.
Her eyes drifted to the far end of the room, where a figure stood motionless against the wall, dressed in a fully black, head-to-toe bodysuit. White details were cut out in the shape of a face. Hollow, exaggerated features that made it impossible to tell where his eyes were, or if he was even looking at her. The stark contrast of the white against the black made him stand out, but the whole costume had this funny, slightly absurd edge to it. Looking down the persons hand, they were holding a prop wrench.
She couldn’t tell what they were supposed to be. Maybe some abstract ghost? A shadow something-or-other? The costume was strange, but in the middle of a Halloween party full of zombies and witches, it wasn’t the strangest thing. And for some reason, it made her smile.
She wasn’t sure if they were watching her, or just looking out at the crowd in general. It was unnerving not being able to see their eyes. But the stillness in their posture and the odd costume made them feel almost harmless in a weird way. She chuckled to herself, wondering what their deal was.
"Hey," someone suddenly called from her left, interrupting her thoughts. Her friend waved from across the room, holding up another drink. “You having fun yet?”
Y/n nodded, though she wasn’t so sure. "Yeah, it’s...good."
Her friend just nodded, her donkey ears shaking as she did, before disappearing into the crowd again.
Y/n couldn’t quite remember when she had signed up for a Shrek-themed group costume with her friends, but at that moment, it hardly mattered. She stood there in a green dress with gold accents, along with a cute tiara, a striking nod to Princess Fiona, and embraced the whimsical absurdity of it all.
And yet, as she looked around, something felt...just a little bit off. Not enough to notice right away, but there was a tension in the air, a subtle shift, like a wrong note in a song. She shook it off, blaming it on the alcohol.
It was just a Halloween party, after all. Everything was fine.
-
Another hour passed, and with it, another few drinks. Y/n felt lighter now, her head pleasantly fuzzy as the alcohol took hold. The nerves that had tightened her shoulders earlier had loosened, and she found herself swaying to the music, even though the beat wasn’t steady. Was it always this off-key? It didn’t matter. Everything felt a little blurry, like the edges of the room had softened.
Her thoughts wandered as she moved, the rhythm of the crowd pulling her in, and for a while, she forgot about the oddness that had nagged at her earlier. The drinks helped with that. She smiled as her friend passed by, throwing an arm around her shoulder for a moment before disappearing again into the crowd of people.
It was fine. Everything was fine.
Yet, there was still this slight undercurrent of wrongness that tugged at her every now and then. The laughter around her seemed a little too loud at times, and the way the people moved, she couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but it was...not right. The way their bodies swayed or turned, it almost felt like they were moving in fast-forward for a second, then slowing down again. Or maybe it was just her imagination.
Blame it on the drinks, she told herself, letting out a breath.
She glanced back toward the far end of the room, expecting to see that strange guy in the black bodysuit still standing there. But this time, they weren’t. She blinked, scanning the area. Where had they gone? She wasn’t sure why she felt relieved, and maybe a little disappointed at the same time.
Shaking her head, she let the music take her again. Whatever, it was just a party. She was just tipsy, that was all.
Y/n swayed to the music, her movements a little uncoordinated but carefree as the alcohol kept her in a pleasant haze. The room spun lazily around her, bodies pressed close in the crowd, everyone lost in their own rhythm. She moved with them, letting herself be carried by the pulse of the party.
As she took a step back, her elbow suddenly collided with something, someone. She spun around, an apology already forming on her lips.
"Oh, sorry!" she blurted out, laughing at her clumsiness.
Her words caught in her throat when she looked up. It was them, the guy in the black bodysuit, the one with the cut-out white face details. They stood just inches away from her now, the hollow, featureless face of his costume staring back at her.
For a moment, she wasn’t sure how to react. She couldn’t see their eyes, couldn’t tell if he was looking at her or through her. But they didn’t move. Didn’t speak. They just stood there, completely still, and she couldn’t shake the odd sensation that rolled over her. It was like hitting a wall, cold and unyielding.
"Uh, I…sorry again," Y/n mumbled, her voice a bit more hesitant this time.
They didn’t respond. But then, slowly, they tilted their head just a fraction to the side, as if acknowledging her apology. Or was it a question? It was hard to tell.
She gave a small, awkward smile, stepping back a bit to create space. “Cool costume,” she added, trying to fill the silence, though her nerves spiked slightly. The longer she looked at them, the more surreal they felt. Why had they shown up so suddenly? Had they been watching her?
Just as Y/n was about to turn away, the figure suddenly spoke.
“Thanks,” he said, his voice smooth and calm, cutting through the noise around them.
She froze for a second. She hadn’t expected him to speak at all, let alone sound so... normal. Something about hearing that voice from beneath the eerie costume threw her off balance. The alcohol must have made her slower to react, because instead of feeling uneasy, she found herself chuckling softly.
“Oh…uh, yeah, no problem,” she said, her words slipping out a little too casually. She shook her head, amused by how surprised she’d been. It was just a costume, after all.
“You look shocked..” The figure said.
“You…talk,” she said, laughing at her own words. It sounded ridiculous as soon as it came out, but the tension that had built up in her chest loosened, and she shook her head. "I didn't expect that."
He breathed out a small laugh. "Why wouldn’t I?" he asked, the tone neutral but almost amused.
Y/n shrugged, unable to stop herself from smiling now. “I dunno. You just look…mysterious.” She waved a hand vaguely at his suit, the white face details still making it impossible for her to gauge where he was actually looking. "Like you’re not supposed to talk, y’know?"
“Maybe I’m not,” he said, his words lingering in the air like the punchline of an inside joke only he understood. There was a slight edge to his voice, one that almost reminded her of a line from some old thriller movie she couldn’t quite remember.
She snorted, her smile widening. “Creepy,” she teased, feeling the warmth of the alcohol surge again, making her brave enough to play along with whatever strange game this was.
Y/n tilted her head, the alcohol still making everything feel just a little blurry. “So…what exactly are you supposed to be?”
He didn’t hesitate. “Detective Conan Killer.”
She raised her eyebrows, the name only vaguely familiar. “Huh. Okay, didn’t expect that.” She smiled, trying to piece together what she remembered about the reference, but her brain was too foggy to connect the dots.
“And you,” he added, “Princess Fiona, right?”
Y/n blinked in surprise. “Yeah, how’d you guess?”
He gave a subtle nod toward her dress, mirroring Princess Fiona’s iconic look. “Kind of hard to miss. Besides, I’m pretty sure I saw a donkey and a ginger cat running around earlier. Looks like your friends have the rest of the theme covered.”
She laughed, the mental image of her friends dressed as Donkey and Puss in Boots running around the party too funny not to. “Yeah, that sounds about right,” she said, shaking her head with a grin. “I don’t even remember when I agreed to this whole Shrek theme, but here I am, dressed like a princess.”
“You wear it well,” he said simply, his voice carrying that same calm that somehow made her feel both at ease and slightly on edge.
Feeling a burst of confidence, Y/n extended her hand with a playful grin. “I’m Y/n, by the way. Should have said that eailer”
He chuckled softly, a sound that somehow felt warm. “Nice to meet you too, Y/n. I’m Hendery, the host of the party.”
With that, he reached up and carefully removed the headpiece of his bodysuit, peeling it away to reveal his face. Y/n blinked in surprise, taking a moment to process the sudden shift. Underneath the stark black fabric, he looked completely normal, just a guy with tousled hair and an easy smile. Well, normal was an understatement, he was fucking gorgous.
“Wow, you actually are a normal person,” she said, a laugh escaping her lips. “I wasn’t sure if you were some sort of spooky thing under there or something or something.”
Hendery grinned, a hint of mischief dancing in his eyes. “Just a regular guy having a bit of fun. But the costume does add a bit of mystery, don’t you think?”
“Definitely,” Y/n replied, her heart racing a little faster. The tension she felt earlier seemed to dissipate, replaced by a lightness that came with getting to know the host of the party.
Y/n couldn’t help but smile. “It’s good to put a face to the mystery,” she said, her gaze softening as she took in the features of the guy who had been standing in the shadows.
Hendery raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. “I aim to surprise.”
She laughed, feeling the weight of the strange atmosphere lift just a little more. “Well, you succeeded. I think I’ll grab another drink,” she said, glancing back at Hendery. “Want anything?”
He shook his head, still smiling. “I’m good for now. Enjoy.”
“Alright, be right back!” she called over her shoulder as she made her way through the crowd, the buzz of laughter and chatter enveloping her once more.
As she stepped into the kitchen, the atmosphere shifted slightly. The sounds of the party faded into a muffled background hum, and the bright fluorescent lights illuminated the room, making it feel a bit more grounded compared to the dim, shadowy corners of the main area.
She opened the fridge, scanning the contents. A kaleidoscope of drinks stared back at her, sodas, juices, and a few more bottles of alcohol. After grabbing a sparkling drink she could barely read the label of, she poured it into a cup and leaned against the counter, taking a moment to catch her breath.
It felt good to be away from the crowd of bodies, even for just a moment. She took a sip, the refreshing fizz tingling on her tongue, and let herself think about Hendery. There was something intriguing about him, something that both drew her in and kept her on her toes.
As Y/n took another sip of her drink, she glanced around the kitchen, noticing a few other partygoers scattered about. But something felt...off. The people weren’t moving. They stood too still, frozen in place like statues, their conversations muted and their faces blank, as if they were waiting for something.
Her brow furrowed as unease crept into her chest. It was subtle at first, a strange tightness that made her shift uncomfortably where she stood. The longer she looked, the stranger it became. The way they stood, so stiff and lifeless, made her skin prickle. One person by the sink seemed to be holding a cup, but they weren’t doing anything. Not drinking, not pouring, nothing. Another sat at the table, staring straight ahead, not blinking.
She blinked hard, rubbing her eyes, trying to shake off the uncomfortable feeling. Maybe it was just the alcohol messing with her vision. Or maybe she had stayed too long in this room, away from the noise and energy of the main party. But no matter how much she tried to reason with herself, the atmosphere was wrong.
The air felt too thick, the silence in the room too deep, and the stillness of the people too unnatural. She swallowed hard, the bad feeling now settling low in her stomach.
“...What the fuck…” she muttered under her breath, feeling a sudden urge to leave the kitchen.
Without wasting another second, she took her drink and quickly made her way back toward the living room, the once-familiar-ish hallway now feeling a bit longer, a bit darker, as she hurried through it.
The thrum of the music and the lively chatter washed over her again, a welcome contrast to the unnerving silence she’d just escaped.
When she spotted Hendery, relief washed over her. He was exactly where she’d left him, standing by the wall, casual and calm, a small smile playing on his lips as he observed the party around him. His presence felt solid, normal.
“There you are,” she breathed, feeling a bit of tension release from her shoulders as she approached him. His smile widened when he saw her.
“Back already? That was quick,” he teased lightly, eyes glinting with amusement.
Y/n tried to smile back, but something in her chest still felt tight. She glanced around the room, scanning the crowd, but the strange feeling from the kitchen lingered. “Yeah...I, uh...” She hesitated for a moment, trying to find the right words. “I don’t know, man, something feels weird. Like, really weird.”
He wiped his head around to her, his eyes sharpening. “Weird how?”
She took a breath, trying to steady herself. “I was in the kitchen, and everyone in there was just...off. Like, too still. It was freaky. And the more I think about it, the more this whole place feels wrong. Not your house or anything! But…the party, the people, something’s not right.” Her voice wavered a little as she spoke, the uneasy sensation creeping back into her chest.
Hendery listened quietly, his expression calm as ever, though his gaze never left her. “Too still, huh?” he said softly, as if testing the words. “I guess I can see how that might feel...strange.”
She rubbed her arms, trying to shake off the lingering discomfort. “I mean, maybe it’s just the drinks, or the fact that this place feels like a maze, but...I don’t know. I can’t shake the feeling.” Her eyes flicked to the room again. People were moving, sure, but every now and then she caught sight of someone lingering too long in one place, staring for just a second too long. The subtle wrongness nagged at her.
Hendery stepped a little closer, his presence reassuring despite her growing anxiety. “Hey, it’s alright, I’m sure everything is fine,” he said, his voice soft and steady. “You’re with me now. Just breathe.” His smile was warm, his calmness wrapping around her like a safety net.
For a moment, Y/n let herself relax, trusting his soothing words, though that nagging feeling at the back of her mind refused to fully disappear. Something was wrong, but standing next to Hendery, she felt just a little bit safer.
Sensing her unease, Hendery gently placed a hand on her arm. “Come on,” he said softly. “Let’s get you out of here for a bit.”
Before she could respond, he began leading her through the crowd, his touch light but steady. Y/n followed him, grateful for the escape, weaving past partygoers as they made their way to a side hallway she hadn’t noticed before. The noise of the party started to fade, replaced by the softer sounds of their footsteps as Hendery guided her into a smaller living room tucked away from the chaos.
The room was dimly lit, a soft glow from a nearby lamp casting a warm, golden light across the space. Unlike the main area, this room felt quieter, untouched by the buzzing energy of the party. It was almost peaceful.
“There,” Hendery said, nodding toward a plush couch. “Take a breather.”
Y/n sank onto the couch, letting out a long exhale. The stillness of the room was a welcome relief, a stark contrast to the strange, unsettling energy outside. She hadn’t even realized how tightly she’d been wound until now.
Hendery sat beside her, not too close but near enough to offer comfort. “I figured you might need a break. Parties can get overwhelming.”
“Yeah,” she murmured, rubbing her temples. “I just...everything out there feels so off. I don’t know how to explain it. Sorry.”
Hendery nodded, watching her carefully. “It happens. Sometimes these things just hit you out of nowhere.” His voice was soothing, calm as ever. “But you’re safe here.”
She glanced at him, his reassuring presence making her feel grounded again, if only for a moment. “Thanks, Hendery,” she said, her voice a little quieter now. “I don’t know why, could be the drinks, but I feel better around you.”
He smiled softly, his expression as warm and untroubled as ever. “Good. You deserve to feel better.”
For a brief second, Y/n let herself relax into the couch, the comfort of the quiet room, and the sense of safety Hendery gave her. But as she sat there, a part of her couldn’t help but wonder why the rest of the house felt so...wrong.
As they settled into the quiet of the small living room, Y/n leaned back into the couch, trying to shake off the lingering discomfort. Hendery, sensing her tension, shifted in his seat and grinned playfully.
“So,” he began, “you like me costume, Detective Conan Killer, huh?” Hendery suddenly asked. A little confused, Y/n chuckled a little and nodded.
“Honestly, I didn’t think many people would get the costume. I decided I’d have to explain it all night. But hey, at least I’m not dressed as something worse, like...I don’t know, a sexy traffic cone.”
Y/n couldn’t help but snort, the mental image instantly brightening her mood. “Yeah, definitely dodged a bullet there.”
He nodded, pretending to look deep in thought. “Or imagine me as a giant banana. It’d be hard to look mysterious in that, wouldn’t it? I'd be slipping up everywhere.”
She chuckled, finally relaxing a bit. “Yeah, I think the spooky bodysuit of a killer was the right call.”
“Exactly,” he said, flashing a grin. “Plus, how many people can say they’ve been mildly freaked out by a guy who looks like a walking shadow? It’s an experience, right?”
Y/n laughed again, this time more freely. Hendery’s lightheartedness was starting to break through the eerie cloud that had been hovering over her.
“And speaking of costumes,” he said, leaning back and crossing his arms, “I gotta say, Fiona suits you. You’ve got the princess vibe down…minus the whole ‘turning into an ogre at night’ thing, I hope.”
“Hey, don’t jinx me,” she shot back with a grin. “You never know what could happen after midnight.”
“Oh no,” he said, eyes wide in mock horror. “If I see you start sprouting green ears, I’m out of here. But, for now, you’re safe. Just keep your ogre side in check.”
Y/n laughed harder than she had all night, the weight on her shoulders easing with every joke. Hendery had a knack for saying the right thing, for diffusing the strange tension that had been gnawing at her.
“See?” Hendery said, smiling at her. “Laughter works wonders. A little humor goes a long way.”
She shook her head, still chuckling. “Yeah, you’re right. You’ve definitely got a talent for making things feel less weird.”
He winked. “I’m just here to entertain, milady.”
As Y/n’s laughter died down, she noticed the way Hendery’s smile lingered, his eyes never leaving hers. The playful light in his gaze shifted slightly, softening into something warmer.
“You know,” he said, his voice dropping to a more intimate tone, “the Fiona costume is great, but I think it’s not just the dress that makes it work.” His gaze traveled over her, a subtle admiration in his eyes. “You’ve got this...presence. You light up the room. I noticed it the second you walked in.”
Y/n blinked, caught off guard by the sudden change in his tone. “Oh, um...thanks,” she replied, feeling a bit of heat rise to her cheeks. The playful air between them seemed to shift slightly, becoming charged with something else entirely.
Hendery leaned in just a little, still maintaining that easy smile. “I mean it. You’ve been hard to miss all night. Even in a crowd like this.” His voice was smoother now, the teasing edge replaced by something more sincere. “I’m glad we got a chance to talk.”
Y/n’s heart fluttered unexpectedly at his words, and she shifted in her seat, her earlier discomfort momentarily forgotten. “I didn’t think I stood out that much,” she said, her voice lighter, almost shy.
Hendery chuckled softly. “Trust me, you do. There’s something about you that...well, let’s just say I’m not the only one who noticed.” He tilted his head slightly, his eyes sparkling with amusement. “But I’m glad I’m the one sitting here with you now.”
His gaze lingered on her face, the intensity in his eyes making her stomach do a little flip. The easy jokes had given way to a more personal, almost magnetic energy. It was like the rest of the world had fallen away, leaving just the two of them in this quiet, dimly lit room.
“You know,” he continued, his voice dropping lower, “I’ve never been a big fan of loud parties, but I think this one’s turning out pretty well, don’t you?”
Y/n felt her pulse quicken at his words, the warmth in his tone sending a soft thrill through her. “Yeah,” she murmured, her lips curling into a small smile. “I think so too.”
Hendery’s smile grew, his eyes never leaving hers as he leaned back a bit, still holding onto that teasing charm. “Good. Because I’d hate to think you’re not having fun...especially when I’m trying so hard to make it a night you won’t forget.”
As Y/n smiled at his comment, Hendery shifted a little closer, his leg brushing against hers. The warmth of the contact sent a subtle shiver up her spine, and she became acutely aware of the small space between them, too small now, and growing smaller with every second.
“You know,” he murmured, his voice low and smooth, “I was hoping to meet you tonight...”
She could feel his gaze on her, intense and unwavering, making her pulse quicken. He wasn’t just being playful anymore, there was a seriousness in his tone that made the air between them feel thick, charged with something new. She met his eyes, and for a moment, it was like the rest of the world blurred into the background. There was just Hendery, closer now, his attention fully on her.
“What do you mean?” Y/n asked, her voice quieter, the playfulness in her tone replaced by curiosity, and something else she couldn’t quite place. She felt her heart beat faster in her chest, each thump in sync with the growing tension in the room.
Hendery’s smile turned into something softer, but more intense, like he was seeing her in a way no one else had all night. “I mean…not to sound weird, but I’ve seen you around. You’re...captivating.”
Her breath hitched at the word. Captivating. She wasn’t sure if it was the alcohol still buzzing in her system, or the way Hendery was looking at her, but the room suddenly felt warmer, the space between them shrinking further.
He reached up, lightly brushing a stray lock of hair from her face, his fingers grazing her skin just enough to leave a trail of warmth in their wake. “I can’t help but want to know more about you,” he said, his voice now just above a whisper, the intimacy in his words making her stomach flip.
Y/n’s breath caught in her throat as she looked into his eyes, dark, intense, and focused entirely on her. The goofy guy in the black suit had disappeared, replaced by someone who was completely present, and entirely interested in her. She could feel the tension between them now, palpable and electric, like the air just before a storm.
“I...” she started, her voice trailing off as she tried to steady her racing heart. But it was hard to focus on anything other than the way his gaze was drawing her in, making it harder to think clearly.
Hendery leaned in even closer, his face now inches from hers, the heat from his body radiating toward her. “You feel it too, don’t you?” he whispered, his voice sending a shiver through her. “This...thing between us.”
Y/n’s heart pounded in her chest, the air between them thick with unspoken tension, the kind that made it hard to breathe. She could feel her own body responding, every nerve on high alert, her skin tingling from his proximity.
“I do,” she whispered back, barely finding her voice.
His eyes flickered down to her lips for just a second before meeting her gaze again, his voice low and teasing. “Then why don’t we stop pretending?”
Just as their faces hovered inches from each other, Y/n felt something strange. The warmth between them, the pull, the intensity, was suddenly overshadowed by something else. It wasn’t the kind of butterflies-in-your-stomach feeling she’d expect in a moment like this. No, this was something colder, emptier.
She blinked, her breath catching as a strange stillness washed over her. It was as if the entire world around them had vanished, but not metaphorically. The music, the hum of voices, the distant laughter, all of it was gone. She pulled back, her eyes darting around the room, and her heart dropped into her stomach.
It was silent. Completely, unnervingly silent.
“Hendery...” she murmured, her voice shaking slightly as she looked up at him.
He didn’t speak, but the way his expression shifted told her everything. He knew something. She could see it in his eyes, the tension in his jaw, the way his hand subtly tightened on her arm. “Don’t,” he said softly, almost pleading.
But Y/n’s unease only grew. She stood abruptly, her pulse racing now, the earlier sense of safety evaporating as a deep sense of wrongness settled in. “What’s going on?” she asked, her voice thin as she glanced toward the door, suddenly desperate to know what was outside this room.
Hendery stood up quickly, moving toward her. “Y/n, wait,” he urged, stepping between her and the door. “It’s...it’s nothing. Everything is fine. Just stay here. Please.”
But there was a flicker of something in his eyes, something that unsettled her even more. Fear. Desperation. “What do you mean, nothing?” she demanded, her voice growing firmer. “What’s happening, Hendery?”
He reached out as if to stop her, but Y/n was already moving. She dodged his grasp, heart pounding as she grabbed the door handle and swung it open. What she saw made her stomach lurch.
The house. The one that had been bustling with partygoers, filled with decorations and music just moments ago, was completely empty. Not a single soul in sight. The vibrant Halloween decor was gone. The walls, once adorned with spooky decorations, were bare. No banners, no balloons, no lights, hell, no furniture. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the structure of the house itself had changed.
There were no proper doors anymore. Just gaping holes where they should have been. The floor beneath her feet felt wrong, like it wasn’t quite solid, and the walls seemed to tilt at strange angles, defying logic. She stepped into the hallway, her breath catching in her throat as she realized there were no proper rooms, just spaces that didn’t make sense. Stairs that led upside down, windows positioned on the ceiling instead of the walls, holes that led to nowhere. The entire place was a twisted, impossible maze. And there was a slight humming that she couldn’t ignore, like a deep horn in the distance, but it wouldn’t stop.
Her heart raced as she took another step, her hands trembling. “This...this isn’t real,” she whispered to herself, her voice shaky. But every step felt all too real under her feet.
Behind her, Hendery’s voice was tight with tension. “Y/n, please, just come back into the room, we can talk about this..”
She turned to face him, her eyes wide with fear and confusion. “What is this? What the fuck?”
Hendery stepped toward her, his face suddenly serious, no trace of his earlier flirtatiousness. “I didn’t want you to find out like this.”
“Find out what?” she demanded, panic rising in her chest. The eerie silence pressed down on her like a weight, and the impossible shapes of the house made her feel like she was trapped in some surreal nightmare.
“This place,” Hendery said quietly, his gaze steady on hers, “it’s not what you think. I created it. For you.”
Y/n stared at Hendery, her mind reeling. "This shit hole?!" she screamed, the words escaping her before she could stop them.
None of it made any sense. The house, if it even was a house, was twisting and warping around her, defying all logic. Her heart pounded, and her breath came out in ragged bursts as she tried to make sense of what she was seeing.
Every time she turned around or looked away, the space shifted. First, the rooms stretched impossibly long, the walls bending at strange angles. Then, in the blink of an eye, it wasn’t even a house anymore. The hallways became wide, empty spaces. The walls morphed into smooth, featureless surfaces, punctuated only by square holes for windows. She could see out of one now, they were on a high floor, overlooking what looked like a courtyard, but it wasn’t normal. Nothing about this place was.
The courtyard below was vast and unsettling, like something out of a fever dream. Endless windows lined every wall, but there was no life, no sound, just an eerie, stale air that filled the space. It felt abandoned. No, more than that. It felt wrong, like the world had been hollowed out, leaving nothing but this empty shell. The stillness was suffocating.
Her skin crawled as she stared out, trying to make sense of the twisted, labyrinthine structure around her. The building didn’t follow any familiar rules of architecture. It wasn’t a house or even an office, it was something else entirely. Something cold and alien. Like she was stuck in a forgotten place that wasn’t meant to exist.
“What is this?” Y/n whispered, her voice barely audible, fear clawing at her chest.
Hendery’s footsteps were soft behind her, his calmness an unsettling contrast to the chaos around them. “It’s...hard to explain,” he said, his voice quiet but steady. “This place…it’s not real, not in the way you know reality. It’s something I made. For us.” He wasn’t wearing his stupid costume anymore, and neither was she. Her dress was replaced with stale jeans and a damp t-shirt.
Y/n whipped around to face him, her eyes wild. “For us?!” Her voice was sharp, a mix of disbelief and anger. “You’re telling me you made this?” She gestured wildly to the strange, empty expanse around them. “This…nightmare? Who the fuck are you?!”
Hendery’s expression didn’t waver, though his eyes softened slightly. “I had to do something. I couldn’t lose you.”
“Lose me?” Y/n’s voice trembled with a mix of fury and fear. “This isn’t saving me, Hendery! This...this place…it’s not right. None of this is right!”
She spun around again, her hands trembling as she looked out the windows, her mind racing. Every inch of the structure seemed to shift whenever she wasn’t looking, morphing into something new, something worse. It was like the building itself was alive, warping in response to her fear.
"And what the fuck do you mean by 'lose me'?" Y/n snapped, glaring at Hendery, her voice shaking with both fear and anger.
Hendery hesitated, avoiding her gaze. “...Nothing…you know…is real,” he muttered under his breath, his tone low and distant.
Y/n’s frown deepened. “What?” she demanded, stepping closer.
He finally looked at her, his expression unreadable. “Your memories...your friends, your entire life...I had to change it.”
Her heart skipped a beat. “What the hell are you talking about?”
Hendery’s voice softened, his words more deliberate now. “If you knew what really happened...it would ruin everything. You don’t even remember how you got to the party, do you?”
Y/n’s breath hitched as his words sunk in, her confusion giving way to a cold, creeping realization.
The endless rows of windows, the strange emptiness, the sense that something was watching from every shadow, it made her stomach churn. The surreal, airy atmosphere around her felt too open, yet claustrophobic at the same time, as if there was no escape.
“Please, Y/n,” Hendery said softly, stepping closer. “Just stay. It’s safer here.”
Y/n shook her head, her heart racing. “Safer? Hendery, this place isn’t safe. It’s...it’s wrong.” She took a step back from him, panic rising as her surroundings became even more unfamiliar, more unsettling. The walls seemed to breathe, stretching and contracting as though they had a mind of their own.
She was trapped in a nightmare, a place that twisted reality into something grotesque and unnatural. And the worst part? Hendery had done this. Created this...prison.
"I have to get out of here," Y/n whispered, her voice barely audible as the horror of it all began to sink in.
But deep down, she wasn’t sure if escape was even possible.
Her legs moved before she could think, adrenaline kicking in as she bolted toward the nearest opening, the only thing on her mind was getting away. Away from Hendery, away from this twisted nightmare.
“Y/n, wait!” Hendery’s voice echoed after her, calm yet pleading, but she didn’t stop. She couldn’t. She didn’t dare look back. His voice sounded too certain, too...knowing. And that terrified her even more. But he didn’t chase her.
The hall stretched endlessly before her, and her breath came in ragged bursts as she sprinted through the impossibly long corridors, her heart thudding in her chest. She turned sharply down another hallway, desperately hoping to find an exit, any way out.
But when she rounded the corner, expecting to see a blank hallway, there he was, Hendery, standing right where he was before she turned the corner. Watching her. Not moving. His eyes filled with something that looked almost like pity.
How could he be there…he was just down the last hallway.
Y/n’s heart raced faster as she turned again, her pulse pounding in her ears. She ran harder, willing her body to go faster, to find some way out. She rounded another corner, praying for a door, a window, anything. But the moment she turned, her stomach dropped. She was back where she started.
Hendery was still there, standing in the same place, his face expressionless, but his eyes held that same pitying look.
“No,” she breathed, panic clawing at her throat. She spun again, running down the hall, pushing herself harder, her feet slamming against the floor. But every turn brought her back to the same spot, the same hallway, the same twisted reality. And every time she looked back, there he was.
“Hendery!” she screamed, frustration mixing with terror and tears. But he didn’t move. He just stood there, his gaze steady on hers.
“It’s no use,” he said softly, his voice carrying down the hall. “You can’t leave.”
Y/n shook her head, refusing to believe it, but her body was starting to betray her. She was exhausted, her legs shaking from the endless running, her mind spinning with the impossible reality she was trapped in. It didn’t make sense. Nothing made sense.
She slumped against the wall, her breathing ragged as she stared at him, defeated. Hendery took a slow step forward, his voice gentle, as if speaking to a frightened animal.
“I didn’t want it to be like this,” he said, his eyes soft. “But this is the only way we can be together. You’ll understand...in time.”
Y/n closed her eyes, the weight of the impossible truth crashing down on her. There was no escape. No way out. She was trapped in this strange, shifting world, and Hendery was the only constant, her captor, and maybe, her only chance at survival.
Each step Hendery took toward her felt like a weight pressing against Y/n’s chest. She tried to move back, but she was already against the wall, trapped with nowhere to go. Her body, tired and trembling from running, betrayed her, forcing her to slide helplessly along the cold surface, trying to keep distance between them. But Hendery kept coming closer.
Her heart pounded as her feet shuffled sideways, desperation pushing her to retreat, but the wall offered no more space. She barely registered it in time, the gaping open window just beside her. One misstep, and suddenly, she was teetering on the edge, her balance slipping.
Y/n’s body tilted, gravity pulling her toward the dizzying drop below. Panic surged through her, and she screamed, her arms flailing as her foot slipped from under her.
Before she could fall, a firm grip closed around her wrist. Hendery. His hand clamped tightly, keeping her from plummeting into the empty abyss outside. Her breath caught in her throat as she stared up at him, wide-eyed.
For a moment, time seemed to freeze. The cool breeze from the outside brushed against her skin, while Hendery’s face remained calm, his expression unreadable.
“I’ve got you,” he said softly.
Y/n’s breathing was uneven, her mind racing as she tried to make sense of everything. Hendery’s grip was firm but gentle, and for a second, she felt that pull again, the comfort, the safety he made her feel. But then reality crashed back in. He had trapped her here, in this nightmare. The walls, the impossible structure, the shifting hallways...none of it was real. And Hendery? He was the architect of it all.
Her heart pounded as she thought it over. Every time she tried to escape, it led her back to him, like he controlled this whole world. She couldn’t let him keep her here. She wouldn’t. If this place was going to twist and warp reality, maybe she could twist it too.
Her muscles tensed as she made her decision.
Y/n’s eyes locked on his for a split second, just long enough for her to catch a flicker of concern in his gaze. Before he could react, she kicked him, hard, in the stomach.
Hendery gasped in surprise, stumbling back and loosening his grip on her wrist. Seizing the moment, she yanked her arm free and launched herself back out the window, her body propelled by pure adrenaline.
The wind whipped past her as she tumbled out into the void, the open air swallowing her whole. She felt weightless, her body spinning as she plummeted toward the ground. The courtyard below, cold and unforgiving, rushed up to meet her. She squeezed her eyes shut, bracing for the inevitable impact, the harsh splat of concrete beneath her.
But the crash never came.
Instead, Y/n felt the soft give of cushions beneath her. Her eyes snapped open, and her breath caught in her throat. She was back in the small living room, the one Hendery had taken her to earlier. The dim lighting, the same worn couch, it was as if she’d never left.
She scrambled up, confusion flooding her senses. Her heart raced as her mind struggled to catch up with what had just happened. She had jumped out of a window, had been falling to her death, and now she was here. Safe. Intact.
Her gaze flicked around the room, and there he was, Hendery, sitting calmly on the couch beside her, watching her with that same unreadable expression. No sign of the struggle. No sign of anything being out of place.
“Welcome back,” he said quietly, giving her a tight-lipped smile.
Y/n’s stomach churned. She had escaped, or so she thought. But here she was, back where she started, as if her desperate attempt to flee had never even occurred. The world was bending to Hendery’s will, reshaping around her every move.
And this time, there really might be no way out.
Y/n’s legs gave out, her body crumbling on the floor. Her heart still raced from the fall, the reality of how close she’d come to dying. But now she was here, so what was really worse.
Hendery knelt down beside her, his grip still firm, but his touch gentle. "You can’t leave, Y/n," he whispered, his voice a mix of concern and control. "I won’t let you."
The weight of it all came crashing down on Y/n. Her chest tightened, and her throat constricted as the reality of her situation sunk in. She was trapped, and no matter what she did, she couldn’t escape him. She couldn’t escape this.
Tears welled up in her eyes, spilling over before she could stop them. Her body shook as the sobs broke free, uncontrollable and raw. She pulled her knees to her chest, burying her face into them, trying to shield herself from the suffocating truth. Everything was wrong. So impossibly wrong.
Through the blur of tears, she heard footsteps move beside her. Hendery’s presence, calm and steady, loomed too close.
"Hey...hey," Hendery’s voice was soft, almost soothing, as he reached out, his hand gently resting on her shoulder. "It’s okay. Everything’s fine. I promise."
Y/n shook her head, her sobs making it hard to speak. "No, it’s not," she choked out, her voice muffled against her knees. "Nothing is fine...I can’t—" Her words faltered as another wave of tears hit her. "I can’t get out."
Hendery’s hand slowly trailed down her back, a gesture meant to comfort, though it only made her feel more trapped. “Shh...everything is fine," he whispered. "You’re safe here, Y/n. There’s nothing to worry about anymore."
But those words, safe here, felt hollow. Y/n lifted her tear-streaked face, looking at him through pained eyes, her heart aching. “How can you say that? You’ve trapped me in this...this nightmare,” she cried, her voice cracking.
Hendery’s expression softened, his thumb gently brushing away a tear from her cheek. “I didn’t want it to feel like that,” he murmured, his tone quiet, almost apologetic. “But you don’t have to be afraid. I’m here. You’re here. And that’s all that matters.”
Y/n’s tears continued to fall, her body trembling as the weight of his words pressed down on her. "I don’t want this," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I just want to go home..."
Hendery’s arms wrapped around her then, pulling her gently into his embrace. "You don’t want to go back there.." he whispered, his breath warm against her hair. "And I’ll make sure you’re never alone again. I’ll keep you safe, always."
His words sent a chill down her spine. Y/n wanted to push him away, to fight, to scream, but she was exhausted. Her mind, her body, everything felt too heavy to resist anymore. So she sank into his arms, her tears slowly subsiding, even though her heart still ached with the knowledge that she was truly stuck.
And in that eerie silence, with Hendery holding her close as he repeated, “Everything is fine..”
Y/n felt the last piece of herself slip away, swallowed by the reality he had created.

First date with hendery!! <3
Hendery x y/n
Wc: 1,183
TW: sexual jokes, fluff, hendery scars some kids for life by kissing you,
After years of what Ten would call mutual pinning and what Yanyang would call "the two dumbass's not recognizing their feelings for each other," you and Hendery had finally recognized that maybe, possibly, the both of you were crushing hardcore. That led to the most awkward confession of all time, which ended with Hendery saying.
"Well, that's pretty epic."
You couldn't help but punch his arm because who finds out their crush likes them back and responds that way?
But you didn't care. You were going on a date with your best friend turned boyfriend. Life couldn't get better than that, really.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was a knock at your door, followed by a clearing throat. You quickly looked in the mirror and smiled, feeling the butterflies in your stomach dancing around.
As you opened the door, you were met with the sight of Hendery in black jeans and a cream-colored sweater. He cleared his throat awkwardly and stared at your outfit, a grin forming on his face and his eyes visibly brightening.
"Hey.", you said, trying to ignore the fuzzy feeling in your brain. He just looked so good it was overwhelming.
"Hey.", he responded, continuing to shamelessly check you out before clearing his throat. "You look amazing you know. Like, really pretty. I haven't been able to say that in like, a romantic way before, but…"
"Don't get soft on me Hendery.", you tease.
"Fine, you look like shit."
You roll your eyes and walk out, making your way to his car. He promptly swings the door open and bows, pretending to tip his hat.
"M'lady."
You climb into the car, and he closes the door, jogging to the driver's side.
The two of you go to a nice place Kun suggested for dinner and converse lightly. Though the way you speak with each other hasn't changed, the looks you give each other have.
Instead of trying to hide your feelings for each other, you're now open to giving each other starry-eyed stares. You became highly aware of the feeling of your whole face flushing during this date. You were glad you didn't have to hide your feelings anymore.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the sun started to set, Hendery led you to a nearby park. The air was cool and fresh, and the trees beginning to bloom small flowers, as if spring was blooming, much like your relationship.
The two of you sat on a bench and watched a few children go around playing games with each other.
"Do you remember that time a kid asked Ten if he was a girl?" he broke the pleasant silence.
"Oh my god, yes. Then he was convinced that Kun was his boyfriend, and told him his girlfriend was pretty", Hendery chuckled at the memory as you recounted it with him, "And then Kun tried to say that boys can date boys and the kid went up to his mom and told her that they were two boys dating."
"How did I forget about that part?!" he snorted, hitting your shoulder lightly as you leaned on each other, hunched over in laughter.
When you opened your eyes, he was mere centimeters away, his lips parted and eyes on yours. You swallowed thickly and turned pink as he leaned in closer and pressed a soft kiss to your lips, his hand running through your hair.
You closed your eyes and giggled into the kiss, letting your lips melt together.
Suddenly you heard an outcry of "EW THEY'RE KISSING!" and turned to see a child pointing at you two.
When you went to pull away, Hendery grabbed your hand and pulled you closer.
"Give me some tongue, babe.:, he groaned.
"Jesus Christ Hendery, we are not about to scar some poor kids for life."
"But it would be funny.", he reasoned, a stern look on his face.
You inhaled, ready to react, before he licked your upper lip.
The once innocent children ran away screaming about what nasty thing they had just witnessed as you sat with the oh-so-pleased boy.
"Dumbass.", you scolded, flicking his nose.
He wasted no time kissing your hand as you pulled it away, and you couldn't help but chuckle.
You played with a stray strand of hair on his face, pushing his smooth locks back into place as he stared at you with wide eyes, breath soft. His eyes flickered to the ground, then back to you, and his ears turned a light pink.
"I really want to kiss you again."
"Nope, you got that right taken away when you stole the innocence of all those kids."
He sighed dramatically, then looked around. "You loved it."
"Uh-huh. Come on", he stood up and grabbed your hand, "we're going on the swings."
As the two of you practically skipped over, you felt happy and free. The feelings you had once tried to push away were allowed to break free, and you were overjoyed.
The two of you sat on the swings in the fantastic night, and Hendery even took a few photos of you (that he would stare at later that night, thanking whatever god made him confess to you).
As you swung high, you felt like you were on top of the world, and nobody was as lucky as you. Whenever you looked at him and saw his eyes on you, you felt like you would explode with joy.
Eventually, the two of you left, and he took your hand in his, leading you back to the car. You spent the ride home singing to the songs on the radio and laughing together.
As he walked you to the door, he clung onto your arm and leaned his head on his shoulder, embracing you tightly.
"I really had a great night, Y/N, you know…."
"I did too, Hen, I did too."
He pulled off you and smiled, then kissed your forehead and ran a hand through his hair. "Maybe I could come in, just to, you know, guard you while you sleep and make sure nobody takes you away."
You laughed at him and shook your head. "The only person who would try and take me away is you, dingus."
He shrugged. "Worth a shot. Well, I guess this is good night, then."
You nodded. "Oh! I have something for you, actually."
His eyes lit up. "Oh?"
You motioned for him to move closer, and when he did, you pulled him in for a deep kiss, which he instantly reciprocated.
The two of you stayed like that for a while, happy to be together, comfortable kissing, glad to be alive.
When you pulled apart, you could have sworn he held all of the universes in his eyes, and you knew your heart beat only for him.
"Well, if that was a gift, I'd hate to see what I get at the end of a date.", he teased, still holding onto your hands.
"Oh shush." you pressed one last kiss to his lips and waved as he left.
You couldn't wait for all the trouble the two of you would get into in your relationship.

map to my heart.
pairing: wong hendery x reader
length: 1.06k
tags: alternative universe, university/college au, friends to lovers, indirect confession, mutual attraction, tooth-rotting fluff, best friend! hendery, assistant librarian!reader, based on true experience.
note: i was inspired by a conversation i had with my ex-crush when i was with them in the library where our lesson on a subject took place
"how well do you know your geography?" hendery's voice was gentle and low, keeping himself quiet in the back of the library with students who cannot be disrupted.
he watched you looking at the library globe before your eyes met with his. after finishing an activity that his professor had given him, he was able to freely look around, and there he saw you at the back with the globe you were spinning at a slow place. it was a fortunate meeting, knowing how well you often visit the library since you were an assistant in helping the librarian after all.
“do you know your geography?”
this time, you returned the same question to him, and of course he knew. he just wanted to test how good you were, and with a smile on his face, he responded. “of course, would you like a challenge?”
“i'm down,” hendery loved how there was no hesitation in your tone, and he especially loved your competitiveness when it comes to interests you both have in common. “only because i can totally win over you.”
“oh? really?” his hand made its way to touch the globe, preparing himself for a little game of spotting the country. “give me a name, then.”
“laos.” you said, and he smiled at you.
“easy,” he began spinning the globe in front of him, looking for the location you had asked him to find. “if you know countries from asean very well, then there's no difficulty in searching for it.”
pausing the sphere, hendery's forefinger pointed to the land just above thailand before he gave you a victorious grin. “see? now try looking for sri lanka for me.”
he heard you let out a huff, watching you already turning the spherical ball, and when you showed him that you had already spotted it, he gave a fake sound of a terrible whine which almost made you laugh. covering your mouth with your palm, your other hand made its way to his arm with a light smack. both of you suppressed a laugh, knowing how much they could get in trouble if they ever disturbed the library, with him being thrown out and you enduring another scolding session from the librarian.
“you really should stop making weird noises if you don't want to be thrown out from here.” giggling in a whisper, he couldn't help but fall in love with the way you beamed at him.
hendery was so, so in love with you.
he moved to stand beside you with his head leaning closer to your ear, saying, “shoot me a name, sweetie.”
you hummed, pretending to think for a little long time. gazing over your hand ghostly touching his knuckles, the little butterflies flew around inside his stomach. the fingertips of your hands running over his then the surface of the globe before he heard you utter out, “cyprus.”
nodding to your next challenge, he made his way to look thoroughly around the ball. a chuckle left his lips, feeling as if he was starting to sweat despite the cold breeze of the air-conditioned room. “maybe i’m reconsidering your knowledge on geography, after all.” your voice softly echoed in his ears. he wasn’t going to give up so easily for some country he wasn’t familiar with.
continuing to search, he whispered to you, “from what i remember, it’s close to romania, am i right?”
“close.”
hendery droned out a steady continuous sound, staring at the map of europe in front of him. if it was close to what he stated earlier, and the name sounds close to some greek mythology name. “then i'm guessing it would be near greece, so…”
forefinger gliding through the map, he eventually found cyprus below turkey. another victorious win, he smiled at you. “there.”
“you’re not as bad as i thought.” your compliment had earned him another good slap in the heart, and it would always make him do somersaults every time you do. with the way you look at him like that, with that contagious smile and laughter, he could never stop feeling things for you.
“okay, my turn.” you said, “give me a name.”
“show me…” hendery trailed off, his body moving backwards to face your back. watching you turn around, you let out a small gasp as you were taken aback when he caged you in between his arms. “hendery, what are you doing?”
“show me where the map to my heart is.” his voice was serious, and yet there was still a glint of delight in his tone. the smile never wiped off from his face while he stared into your eyes. sure, it was abrupt and unexpected, but he wasn't being playful in a way that would annoy you, and his seriousness was giving a turn.
“i…” now you were the one who was tongue-tied, and him being the patient person he was, he waited for you to respond. it was simple, if you reject him at this time and moment, he would respect that and back off this instant.
"the question is just simple," without wiping the smug off his face, he let out a fake yawn that is not loud enough to disturb the other students in the library at the front. "show me where it is." with the way he carefully and audibly emphasized each word, you started to laugh in such a nervous state.
"a-are you joking right now?"
"huh, what's that?" he brought his hand to his ear, pretending to not hear you despite being a short distance away from you. that smile of his never dropped.
“sweetie if you're just gonna stand there and stare at me then i might as well win this challange—”
“i think i know where it is.” you quickly uttered out, breaking your silence. he was curious to know what was on your mind, and so he crossed his arms against his chest, lips curling up to put up a smug look.
“really? i'm curious to see if you actually know it.”
“well, if i can remember, it starts from here…”
he observed the way your finger reached out to point your own chest where your heart is at rest before making out a line until your palm was against his chest to his beating heart. hendery sucked up a good amount of air at the contact, his gaze still never left yours.
“...to here.”

Daddy’s Favourite | Wong Kunhang (Hendery)
Summary: Hendery has been begging you to try for a baby… can you resist him?
Genre: Boyfriend!Hendery, suggestive
Word Count: 0.5k
You sat on the couch, your baby niece nestled in your lap.
The baby's chubby fingers reached up and touched your cheek. Normally you would have found that disgusting (come on, baby germs?) but for some reason, looking into little Jordan's eyes wasn’t the worst. It was almost… cute.
Your boyfriend Hendery came in. When he saw you with the baby, his eyes lit up.
"Isn't she the best thing in the world?" He squeezed your hand, lovingly.
"I could get used to having one of these around," you murmured.
Hendery gasped. "Does this mean you’re ready to start trying?"
You bit your lip. “Babe…”
Hendery's brows shot up. "Not an immediate no... Does this mean what I think it means?"
You allowed yourself to smile. "Alright, what the hell. Let's do this!"
Butterflies soared through your tummy at the thought. You liked the feeling. It was like you were a kid on Halloween again.
Hendery jumped to his feet and started playing air guitar. You chuckled at your crazy boyfriend.
Hendery smirked. He pulled Jordan out of your arms and put her in the cot.
"Baby, I'm gonna get you so good and pregnant." He smirked and pulled you towards him.
Hendery kissed you, deep, eager. You could taste the cherry cola on his lips, you could feel his hand squeezing your ass. Heaven.
"Let's lock ourselves in the closet and bang this out, baby. We only need a couple minutes," Hendery murmured against your lips.
His lips touched your neck, making you shiver.
"Woah, slow down!" you said.
Hendery tried to kiss you again, but you kept him at arm’s length.
He pouted.
"I’ve got to get my IUD taken out first," you said, laughing.
Hendery caught a curl of your hair between his fingers and twisted it, a gloomy look on his face. "Oh yeah."
You felt sorry for him and pressed a quick kiss to his lips.
An idea popped into your head. You smirked. You trailed your hand down his abs, toying with the buckle of his belt.
"Who says we can't have a trial run right now? You know what they say, practice makes perfect."
Hendery grinned. He pulled you into his arms, and you jumped and wrapped your legs around his waist. "I love you so fucking much." He smirked. “Does this mean I get to call you mommy?”
"Shut up, idiot," you said, nipping his jaw. "Now let's go make a baby."

WayV as my favorite songs
AUTHOR’S NOTE ↬ no one asked for this but i can do whatever i want lol. i need to flesh out every single nct member and this is the easiest way for me to write for them: music
PLAYLIST ↬ here just in case you would like to listen to any of them lol
OTHER VERSIONS ↬ dream | 127 | wish (when i post them eventually lol)
LIU YANGYANG ↬ 火 - A-Mei
yangyang is a certified y2k baddie. i'm fully convinced he was born in the wrong era. like he would've rocked the 2000s so much, if only he was born 10 years earlier. 火 is quite literally yangyang, don't tell me other wise, like yangyang is🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥the lyrics are so him coded. HE JUST LOVES MUSIC DON'T TELL HIM TO STOP! in true wayv fashion the song is probably about sex
XIAO DEJUN ↬ 爱 - 小虎队
my god. dejun....... literally such a romantic, but he's like the youthful style romantic?? (does that make sense) 爱 just fits him so well cause it's like young love, peaceful vibes, literally i'm in love with this man. I BET YOU ANYTHING HE KNOWS THE SIGN LANGUAGE TO THIS SONG BY HEART. heartthrob dejun of the 90s. LIKE CAN YOU IMAGINE HIM IN THE 90s???
QIAN KUN ↬ 你是我永远的乡愁 - fei yu-ching
you know the guy that sings the xue hua piao piao song? yeah this is one of his songs. another way for me to call kun a boomer but am i wrong??? is this man not a boomer??? i'm sorry. nah but i got a feeling that kun really likes old old music. i'm talking teressa teng, all those classics. and i can't blame him they're bangers. couldn't go straight with a jay chou song bc that'd be too easy i wanted to challenge myself.
DONG SICHENG ↬ 我愿意 - faye wong/王菲
i love love love faye wong....... all of her songs. she's so talented bruh. and i love winwin! wow those go great together! jkjk, i have reasons for this too. this song is quite literally so special so romantic like damn. i have a feeling that winwin, whoever his partner is, he would literally worship the ground they walk on. HE WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR THE ONE HE LOVES. these are literally all love songs but my wayv boys... i picture them in love all the time okay.
WONG KUNHANG ↬ 失戀 - grasshoper
everytime i hear this fucking song i laugh so hard bc WHO WROTE THIS???? WHY DID YOU MAKE IT HAPPY??? hendery is such a comedian, we all know that. he just has this extremely playful vibe to him. the lyrics of this song... are certainly tragic.... it's about a dude who's chasing after girl who doesn't like him but also talking to another guy who likes the same girl and they both cope with their misery together. LIKE... hendery gives me the vibe that for all his misfortunes and troubles he would just laugh it off. which is not okay, but it's how he is. :((
CHITTAPHON LEECHAIYAPORNKUL ↬ play/我呸 - jolin tsai
literally do not know any thai songs i apologize, but if you got any good recs. really any jolin tsai song could fit ten's vibe tbh, like especially 舞孃 could work too. i chose play bc the gays like it (this is a joke but also kinda true) i could say that she's basically the "lady gaga of cpop" (not my words okay) play is just so sassy, and playful, really fits the vibes that ten has going on there. gay.
perm taglist ↬ @lyvhie

[2:59 a.m]
sleepovers with hendery were nothing out of the norm. you two were used to doing that kind of stuff since you became friends in middle school.
"is really this the movie you love so much?" hendery asked you in disbelief; he couldn't grasp the fact that, because of you, he was willingly watching a movie about a baby in a suit.
"(y/n)?" he called you by your name at your lack of response. "are you listening to me?"
it wasn't until he tried to turn his head to glance at you that he felt an unexpected weight between his neck and shoulders. the scent of your shampoo that suddenly filled his nostrils made him tense his whole body.
as he breathed deeply, trying to relax himself and not wake you up, he raised one of his hands to your hair and awkwardly tried to caress it.
"how can you fall asleep at your favorite movie?" was the last thing hendery mumbled to your sleeping self before paying all of his attention to the movie.
