"Godflesh on that earfuck of a tour: the Grindcrusher tour circa 1991. The all mighty Godflesh took a day off and played Spanky's in Riverside. Even w/ my earplugs stuffed in my skull they were louder than Motörhead. Shot for Flipside fanzine"
"I stood right in front of bassist G.C. Green the entire set. It was so loud our rib cages were shaking."
"I remember when they finished their set, a girl gave Justin a bouquet of flowers, and he laid his guitar on the floor and started pulling off petals and dropping them on his strings one by one. He was still doing it when we left and we could still hear him when we got into Kirk's disco truck like two blocks away.”
