It had been another summer celebration all day; Tempera had been busy with patrols to keep things going smoothly, but now that things were winding down, he could relax. At least in theory.

Robin was the first person he spotted who he knew; he knew she'd done a small concert today but he'd been unable to be in the area at the time. Now, she was sitting and just looking at the stars.

3: What’s a fic idea that you have but haven’t written yet?

oh i have SO MANY loose fic ideas (curse of an active imagination). i will say that the current one i've been rotating in my head is a ffxiv fic that details an incident mentioned in 5.3. specifically, that time the crystal exarch apparently used a salmon fillet as a letter opener. i think it'd be a fun little scene to write, maybe use it as a character study for lyna and the exarch's relationship, maybe use it as an excuse to write some family fluff, something like that.

alternately: i sort of came up with an au with a friend or two, where alphinaud and alisaie (from ffxiv) somehow ended up in daybreak town (kh) and got dragged into all that politics with the unions and all the tension and such. the two of them would absolutely not vibe with the unions i think, ahaha, and since that au would have them be from either post-5.0 or post-5.3 (the shadowbringers character development it important), they'd not take too kindly to the insistence over being rid of all darkness. especially considering they'd Just seen the damage that Only Light can do, over in norvrandt. it'd probably be a bigger fic but i do want to write it some day, it'd be fun

In the cramped confines of her workspace, Sophie Hatter never considers that the existence of darkness counters her loneliness. 

Just as she fills unclaimed spaces with quiet lament, so too do the shadows. They occupy and co-exist between or behind material objects, moving and changing as much as the light did. One key difference is that her subjection to the living world meant her participation with her shadow sewn to her heels. 

Not too human, not too inhuman either. 

Perched on her aged stool, pencil rolling between her thumb and index finger, Sophie retreats into the farthest corner of her bedroom-turned-office. Curtains drawn, merely a sliver of sicky yellow street lights breach in the dark, flitting with the occasional passing car. 

Her bleary eyes affix to the pencil in her hand, the grip intensifying momentarily. Neglected paperwork from the business owner—no, mother, Sophie amends—returns to hours upon hours of poured labor at her desk, concluding to a drained mind. 

Mother has been preoccupied in recent weeks, but as always, I couldn't leave the work undone—whether she expressly requested it or not. Omitting the details of her rationale, the copper-haired woman presses her lips together, forcing lead to the paper. 

The pencil's scratch, pointed and persistent, breaches the silence of the room as though progress and work have come. Yet, the lead burrows deeper, darkening the curvature of a "t" meant to continue an unfinished statement. Overwhelm, override. Amidst the ghastly awareness and the hollowing horror of recognition, she clings to a familiar cure-all: work. Immersing herself in it would numb the creeping, insidious frustration neath her flesh.  Hopefully, that is. No, assures. She corrects herself once more, amid the interplay of paperwork, shadows, and isolation.

The seamstress adjusts her position, her eyes darting between her work and the curtains. A heavy, uncomfortable presence seems to burrow into her, akin to uninvited eyes observing her like a bird in a white-gilded cage. Her shoulders slump, and the pencil lifts from the page. Taking a deep breath, she presses the lead back down. Yet again, an uneasy weight forms at the base of her throat.

Who is there? What is there?  Squeezing the pencil till her knuckles turn ghostly white, she indignantly turns her face, entertaining her irrational imagination. 

Pure yellow retinas, devoid of irises or pupils, fixate on her. The figment of her worries, brought to life in hues blacker and bluer than ink. The creature, seemingly timid, gazes at her, its head canting slightly, unmistakenly worried.

Her red-rimmed eyes blink once, then again, she softly utters, "Mister Shadow?" 

"You shouldn't be pushing yourself so much, dearest hatter. Sophie, please, go to bed."

Sophie's shoulders were tense, barely noticeable, at the eldritch mystery's gentleness. Again, the pencil rolls between her fingers. Raising her eyes, a soft yet unyielding firmness is in her voice: "Mister Shadow, though I appreciate your concern..." Steadily, her tone hints at the weariness of a sharp tongue: "But the work must be done. None of this paperwork can magically finish itself, and every stitch delayed is something closer to breaking." Her gaze flits to the papers. "As you are aware, waiting is not an option for me." 

With a sigh, she leans forward in her chair, her eyes momentarily closing as if seeking a moment of respite. "I have to keep going..." 

Who else will if I don't?

Charm Description: A small charm with a lightning bolt! It houses a strong heart filled with electrifying energy!

Summoning cutscene:

“Sora!” A familiar voice happily cries out immediately upon appearing and the sound of feet scampering could be heard as Thor the Raichu darts past the tree line surrounding Viridian Forest.

Once the electric type is close, he leaps at the Keyblade weilder with his front paws stretched out then scampers up the young man’s side with a laugh, head popping up then over the boy's shoulder so he could affectionately nuzzle his cheek.

COMMAND Attack Summon > [Thor] Party Limit

Summoned Thor:

COMMAND Attack Dismiss Fight > [Strength. Grass Knot. Rock Smash. Thunder Wave] Limit

His attack command is called “Fight” and this allows Sora to act as Thor’s temporary trainer. When Thor appears he behaves similar to Genie's summon in Kingdom Hearts II and roams freely on the battlefield until Sora activates the 'Fight' command which makes him attack the enemy using one of Thor's known moves.

Strength - attacks nearby enemies with strength-filled punches. Grass Knot - large vines burst from the ground to entangle, trip or whip enemies nearby. Rock Smash - attacks nearby enemies with powerful swipes of his tail. Thunder Wave - fires small bursts of electricity from his cheeks. TW stuns the enemy 100% of the time. Static - passive ability. While Thor is on the field, if he's physically struck by the enemy there's a small chance his Static ability will activate and stun Sora's opponent.

Limit Break: "You can count on me!" - Thor / "Yeah! Let's do this!" - Sora

COMMAND Attack Dismiss Fight Limit > [Bring the Lightning!]

Thor's Limit Break is called Bring the Lightning! Shortened from "You Bring the Thunder, I’ll Bring the Lightning!" This is a combination attack performed by Sora and Thor. He appears at Sora's side with his whole body surrounded by electricity and the pair fire a Thunderbolt and Thunder respectively up towards the sky. This instantly summons a large dark cloud that covers the field and calls down multiple bolts of lightning to strike around them in powerful bursts that destroys everything in the area while leaving scorch marks on the ground where whatever enemy has been struck.

shout out to @valorxdrive's ask response. I read it and immediately had the urge to turn Thor into a summon. So guess who was up at 1 - 2:30 am thinking about Thor being a summoning charm for Sora instead of sleeping like I didn’t have to be up and getting ready for work in 3hrs.

Verse Information - Sunset City.

So I added a verse on my carrd for my Discord server, primarily because those muses now have some common ground through there that's easier to fall back on than to completely redo their meetings and dynamics from scratch here. It's by no means the "main" canon for this blog, but here's a post explaining it anyway for anyone who cares enough to know.

Basically, the premise is that every muse in the server gets mysteriously added to a group chat that then gives them access to a hub world called bargain bin Twilight Town Sunset City. From there, they can access the worlds of all the other associated muses. Sunset City is a dreamlike city ( literally ) that gets reshaped based on the minds of those that access it. But lately, the muses have been trying to get to the bottom of what this place really is...

A lot of the major canon divergences apply to the KH muses, and they really just stem from the fact that there's a bit of a sense of linear progression in the server, so Sora was very much in step with my playthrough of the series, so when he died...I kind of had to improvise LMAO. I'll have to improvise again whenever we get more information on KH4, but for now, just consider this a completely alternate timeline to the main canon where he disappears to Quadratum. Some fun things also change for Roxas but not to nearly the same extent as Sora.

Edit: And then the same thing happened to me while writing Noctis. I was writing him in step with my playthrough, then dude had to go and get prophecy'd on me and I had to figure out how to justify continuing to write him; same with my friend who writes Ardyn in the server. So those changes will also be detailed here.

List of all the major divergences below the cut. Where relevant, I'll indicate when a Discord-only muse or mun is being referenced.

Let's start with Roxas, since he's got fewer divergences to hammer out:

Basically, just so I could justify writing him while he was canonically inside Sora's heart and not really existing, he managed to exist in Sunset City during that time, due to Sora's heart manifesting him there and the nature of Sunset City as a dream world. He sort of experienced stuff in Sunset and stuff through Sora's heart as if he were in both places at once. His physical body also couldn't leave Sunset until he was able to link to Xion at the end of KH3.

And for Sora:

Sora's ship in this verse is with my friend's Riku who doesn't write on tumblr, so you'll probably see Soriku referenced in relation to this verse.

After the events of DDD, Sora got a therapy Munna from Emmet ( Discord-only mun ). Sora had trouble sleeping after his Mark of Mastery exam, on account of, y'know, the whole "I almost never woke up and had my body used to house part of Xehanort" thing. Also, nightmares. Lots of them. So since Dream Eaters can only really exist in sleeping worlds, and he can only summon his Meow Wow for short periods of time outside of there, Emmet arranged for Sora to have a therapy Munna. She's a shiny that the Breeders turned over to Emmet because they trusted him to put her into good hands and not just ask for a shiny for its own sake. In fact, he didn't even really ask for a shiny. The Breeders just were like, "oh, this guy's reputable, we can give the shiny to him." Sora named her Munny on account of her gold color, and because Munna sounds like Munny! Munny is bred to be a therapy Pokémon, not a battling Pokémon, so Sora doesn't actively battle with her, but she can help defend him in a pinch.

Jingle doesn't really exist in this verse...yet.

And here's the biggest one: Sora is not in Quadratum, and has not been yet. This divergence is entirely a result of me flying by the seat of my pants and trying to figure out how to continue to write him in the server after he fucking DIED — think "anime adapting an ongoing manga and running out of source material and having to improvise" type of beat. Basically, because of all the friends he made in the server, as well as all of his friends from canon, Sora's heart was able to hold on and wake up in Anti-Sunset, a parallel nightmare counterpart to the pleasant dream of Sunset. He began trying to make his way back to the surface, but was interrupted by a mysterious woman who splintered his heart into several fragments again. Several of the muses in the server formed a rescue party to try and find him. Each of the ten fragments of Sora's heart sensed the group and called out to each of its members, requiring them to help him overcome some of the pain in his heart in order to dispel the darkness that kept them caged and separate from each other. After these ten fragments were obtained, the group was able to safely return home with Sora.

Whenever we eventually get more information about KH4, and potentially a release date, I'll figure out an excuse to eeby deeby him back to Quadratum, but basically, if you see references to a rescue operation for Sora in threads set in this verse, that's what's going on.

Noctis suffered from the same problem as Sora, where I was writing in-game events happening to him as I experienced them, not knowing that was eventually going to result in him perma-dying. This also ended up writing the server's Ardyn into a corner. So here's what we came up with:

After learning his and Ardyn's fate from Bahamut in the Crystal, Noctis decided that — as angry and damaged as Ardyn made him feel, it just wasn't right to kill someone who was also a victim. So instead, he appealed to any humanity Ardyn might have had left in an effort to make a truce, and try to put off the inevitable long enough to look for another way. Incredibly, Ardyn agrees to the truce, and holds back the miasma enough for the group to resume their travels, now with Ardyn in tow, looking for a way to change their future for the better.

Because the prophecy hasn't been fulfilled yet, there are still daemons running about, and the party is doing their best to keep things under control. They basically have Ardyn on a big ol' child leash while he menaces them in less apocalyptic, more just plain old annoying ways.

The point in the Sunset timeline that I write these guys at on the blog jumps around a lot, it just kinda depends how I feel lmao.

Linked Universe

Relinked AU: 23 years after Linked Universe, the Links’ kids are kidnapped, forcing the Links on another time-traveling adventure to save them. Meanwhile, the kids go on their own adventure to get home.

Reconnect the Chain AU: AU of Relinked. Taking place 10 years after Linked Universe, the Chain reconnects themselves. It’s my happy, slice-of-lifey version of Relinked. Most drawings or writing I do with the Relinked kids as kids will be tagged as both RtC and Relinked if it’s pre-reunion.

Radio AU: Modern College AU. The Chain are all somehow affiliated with the college radio station at Kakariko University. Hyrule’s a new student who gets dragged into their chaos, and learns a little bit about himself in the process.

Cupcakes for Harmony: Inspired by Their Melody. I looked at Their Melody and said “what if I made it sadder?”

Adventures of Uncle Alfon: Legend’s Uncle has some things to say. A non-linear, slice-of-life fic focusing on Uncle Alfon and his relationship with Legend.

Epic AU: Ongoing brainstorming. Epic: The Musical has inspired a plot in my head but idk what’s happening with it yet. All I really know is it’s another LU Links Reunite fic, plus some.

Second Chain/Ultimate Chain AU: Alternate versions of the same AU. I add some more heroes into the mix! Features The Hero of the Kingdom (TOTK), The Hero of Ages (Age of Calamity), The First Hero (Skyward Sword Manga), The Shadow of the Hero (Four Swords Adventures), The (younger) Hero of Legend (A Link To The Past), and The Hero of the Minish (Minish Cap). Potentially, I may even add the Ancient Hero (Tears of the Kingdom).

Kingdom Hearts

Those Who Have Been Wronged Series: A multi-book series currently in the works. It’s canon-compliant up until the secret ending of KH3. Follows the Foretellers’ arc with Kairi as the main protagonist as she searches for Sora and works to defeat the Master of Masters alongside Ven, Namine, Vanitas, and Lauriam. It does include all the KH characters, and almost everyone gets their own time to shine, but Kairi and co. (The Reflection Crew) is the main group.

Together AU: KH3 onwards AU where everything is wrapped up during KH3. The Union Leaders are here. Eraqus is back. Everyone is (mostly) happy. A soft, slice-of-life series I write when the Wronged Series is getting to overwhelming.

Miscellaneous AUs: Occassionally a KH AU will pop into my head. These aren’t very serious works, just fun ideas.

Tales of the Abyss:

Fire Rises: Mostly vibes at this point, Fire Rises will focus on a cast of 6-7 Unscored (people born outside of the Score) trying to make their lives in a world that still holds onto their hatred for them. Takes place 5-ish years after Tales of the Abyss.

OG-Verse:

The OG-verse is my original world called Auran which shares a good portion of worldbuilding as the Wronged Series and Together AU. It’s where all my KH OCs have gone to live. I have a lot of worldbuilding for this but not a lot of story at the moment.

Anyways, I’m putting out a fic that features Katherine as the right hand lass to Princess Vespera in a Twin AU. Updating some of the KH info, and adding FFXV and FFXIV info for her.

All of her old verses still apply, mostly. I just miss all of the old early writing I used to do. The reason this blog seems bare is I did a hard clean on it in 2017, cleaning out threads that were abandoned or whatever. I miss them, but yanno. It happens.

Main Rules

Verses; I am mostly a KH centric askblog/ rp, but I am also okay with most things as long as I am at least already somewhat familiar with the universe/ fandom in question. This can be discussed further in a direct message if you'd like to check if your verse is included. And of course, OCs are always welcome! Though we may need to plot in case of conflicts in lore if they're KH OCs, or just generally it's good to know more about each other's characters before we throw them at each other.

18+ preferred but not strict; I won't reject anyone's willingness to rp, but please remember that I may sometimes ask for space or may gently ask you not to rp if I feel overwhelmed or overly relied upon as an adult, especially as I personally haven't had role models to learn from to know how to handle interacting with kids/ teens, or just how to not sound too harsh around younger people. Like nothing against you all at all and I hope this didn't come across as belittling. So yeah, I'm going to be distant and probably ask way too much "is this an okay topic?" because I genuinely don't know.

Mature content; I do explore the same type of content raised in Kingdom Hearts canon such as abuse, grooming, mental health issues, suicide, some mentions of alcohol, displacement, etc. found in Kingdom Hearts/ Disney movies in general, but these things will be tagged with double slashes and then TW + the content "// TW: [content]". I do inexplicitly touch on further themes like CSA, PTSD specifically and self harm, but I do try to be subtle in these expressions and they tend to be shown through symbolism that acts as an allegory to these concepts. Even so, I will also tag them and may add a "allegory" note in brackets; like // TW: CSA (allegory), for example.

Mun takes many breaks; please remember that I tend to have brief bouts of fast replies in between breaks, so just remember that I'm not ignoring replies and not to overly pester the mun. I kindly ask for small reminders if I've really taken too long, but please keep in mind that I tend to take regular mental health and physical breaks due to disabilities, irl obligations and ongoing struggles with mental health.

Basic DNI, but also; TERFS/ transphobes (including transmeds, mun is bigender soo), queer exclusionists (I respect mspec and aspec here), Zionists (again, I have many anti-zio Jewish friends and Palestinian friends, one of which is like basically family to me so please go away if you're pro Israel/ anti-Palestinian), and while I won't say DNI per se to antis, please know I am neutral and/or friends with many pro ship people. I am politically anti-censorship, so I don't want people being "oh you're okay with X being into Y content?" when I very much do not care for erasure of any media, yes even "bad" ones. Basically just DNI if you are right wing or use right wing rhetoric.

Other things to know; please don't make fun of how I write. Constructive criticism is welcome and encouraged, but don't just be like "ew your sentences are too long" or "haha OCs are cringe" or "your art sucks!" because I'll obviously just block if you start being mean about it or don't really give anything properly constructive. Of course, I am not my characters; they may be rude or say things I would not. As for art/ writing, I tend to have my own habits and some of them I can't really help, including long sentences since I have had a history of being talked over or misunderstood, so I tend to clarify when I'm anxious (which I'm always lol). In the end, it's all fun and games so it's best not to take things overly seriously. I also tend to scratch out acknowledgments to brands/ content that I am boycotting due to their unethical practices. This is just a personal way for me to give them the finger while also not claiming things that genuinely aren't mine.

Swearing; I try not to, though I can sometimes default to it when stressed, angry or tired, so I apologise if that happens in ooc and I will try to keep it contained, especially for those who may find swearing triggering. As for my characters, they don't use them since KH canon doesn't. They use the same type of dialogue as the English Dub of Kingdom Hearts, so no extreme examples of cussing, but some "playground rude words" like "hell" or "shut up".

AI policy; I prefer not to use it for writing or art and may be less inclined to rp if they are used by other muns. This isn't so much a judgemental thing per se, but I just have mixed feelings as an artists who has closed down a lot of previous places due to AI training. This place is an escape, so I would prefer not to really be confronted by AI content or talk of it, please.

So basically! Don't be a dickhead and chances are we can get along just fine, I'm generally really chill with whoever people are and what people believe. I am always up for talking out differences, but please just remember to be respectful and remember that this is a place for rp, fun asks and sometimes even just escapism for me ngl. hello! my name is TOPAZ, i go by he/they pronouns. i’m gonna iron out the really important stuff here first. i always tag triggers. I am currently caught up to the end of 7.0 msq. I will tag all spoilers as 'dawntrail spoilers' and '7.0 spoilers'. If you are on a previous expansion, please let me know so I can tag spoilers for those. By default, I do not. I have not played Kingdom Hearts or basically ANY Final Fantasy games aside from X, VIII and XVI. I won’t follow you if you are from any of the other games or from KH. I am not familiar with them at all. I am open to crossover if you have a XIV verse. If I KNOW you OOC or you have a XIV verse, I will follow you regardless of what you are from.

I don’t follow blogs that are just companions for in-game roleplay. I don’t really do in game rp. I also won’t really follow aesthetic blogs for characters because I am strictly interested in writing. 

I am open to plotting multi-WoL threads. It just has to be plotted out a little bit. I do have some options for non-WoL verses, but Roi is VERY DIFFERENT in those verses. I can also leave things vague until we decide.

If I am interacting with someone that makes you uncomfortable, please let me know. I know confrontation is hard, but I promise I value your safety especially if we are friends/interact at all.

Roi does not like or trust Garleans. He gradually gets better with this, but he still has a lot of personal issues with them. He can be downright aggressive at times. He also hates A LOT of characters I don’t. I don’t want to water down his very real feelings. I LOVE Fordola, but Roi hates her with a  passion. There are a lot of examples.

Roi is, by default, the WoL. I have added a non-WoL verse. it’s very different from his main verse. I can use this when interacting with WoLs. My default will be WoL, however. I can do non-specific interactions around ARR, and depending on that it could branch off to him joining the scions since he does have the echo, and going down a different path. but it’s only if plotted out with specific partners. Roi was not going down a good path in ARR. His ONLY goal was to get stronger so nothing would hurt him again.

Roi is incredibly traumatized. He’s got a lot of issues. In general, in ARR he can appear reserved and standoffish, whereas in HW he is at his lowest. Dealing with him in heavensward is VERY DIFFICULT. He slowly starts improving from stormblood on. But please keep in mind that Roi has some ugliness inside of him. He usually takes it out on himself. 

Roi does not like the empire. They ruined his life and more or less killed his entire family. he has almost no sympathy for them. He can feel for conscripts who have no choice, but anyone willingly in support of the empire is an enemy to him. He HATES them. Roi LOATHES the empire. There are a few imperials that he is more sympathetic towards. He has very complicated feelings about Yotsuyu for example because of her circumstances and his own personal feelings about society. But yeah, if your muse is imperial he is not going to get along with them. He eases up as time goes on, but he will not go easy on reminding them of the sins of the empire.
