The expense of their wedding was 552 crore. The chairman of Sahara India, Pariwar, organized his sons’ wedding, Seemanto Roy and Sushant Roy together, as a double ceremony in Lucknow. The wedding has 110 different cuisines. Faces like Aishwarya Bachan, Kapil Dev, were invited to this expensive Indian marriage.
3) Brahmani and Rajeev Reddy
The great mining baron, Janardhan’s Reddy daughter Brahmani ties knot with Rajeev, a Hyderabad-based businessman. They got married on 16 November 2016, also known as one of the costliest marriages in India. This couple’s wedding cost 550 crores.
4) Srishti Mittal and Gulraj Behl
The greatest steel magnate of India, Lakshmi Mittal’s niece Srishti Mittal got married in Spain to Gulraj Behl in December 2013. Their marriage cost around 500 crores. It was one of the most fantastic destination weddings we dream of.
5) Amit Bhatia and Vanisha Mittal
Vanisha Mittal daughter of Lakshmi Mittal, also had a great Indian wedding of 350 crores in Paris for six days total. They tied the knot in June 2004. Celebrities like Kylie Minogue and Shah Rukh Khan performed at their wedding. It was one of the wealthiest marriages in India.
6) Lalit Tanwar and Yogita Jaunapuria
Lalit Tanwar, son of the Congress minister Kanwar Tarwar, got married to Yogita in 2011. The wedding was broadcast on 12 giant Tv screens. The wedding took place in a family farmhouse. The wedding cost 250 crores. What made the wedding more lavish was the Big Bell 249 helicopter, gifted by his in-laws and no gifts come closer to that.

The director of Danube Group Adel Sajan got married to Sana Khan. They got married in April 2017 on top of the luxury cruise Fascinosa; it was a lavish ceremony. This couple’s wedding took place on 12 February 2015 at Udaipur. Indo-French Chamber wins Award for Best Solidarity Initiative at CCI France International Awards Ceremony in Paris

New Delhi , June 28 (AF/NewsVoir): The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) was awarded for the Best Solidarity Initiative by the CCI France International at the Annual Awards Ceremony 'Trophees des CCIFI' held in Paris last evening.
The CCI France International comprises a network of 124 French Chambers in 95 countries and this was the only award presented to a French chamber during the ceremony. IFCCI has consistently been putting India on the map with its performance and efforts for forging Indo-French business and economic ties.
It is currently India's most active bilateral chamber and has previously won two awards in 2018 and 2019 for Best Performance and Best Contribution respectively.
The award was received by Payal S. Kanwar, Director General and Sumeet Anand, President, IFCCI and the event was attended by 500 global leaders from more than 70 countries in the presence of Frank Riester, Honorable Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness. The annual awards ceremony of the CCI France International aims to recognize excellence of French companies abroad.
On this occasion, the Ambassador of France to India, H.E. Emmanuel Lenain, said, "I warmly congratulate IFCCI and its members for this well-deserved award. The fact that, among all French Chambers in the world, IFCCI carried out the most outstanding COVID-19 solidarity initiative of all shows how much French companies in India care about their host country and the Indian people. They have chosen to invest, produce and innovate in India and are here for the long run. This commitment marked by solidarity mirrors the excellence of political relations between France and India."
During the second wave of COVID-19 in India, France supported India with a massive solidarity mission launched at the request of the President of the French Republic. The operation was implemented by the Embassy of France in India led along with IFCCI and Team France. During this mission, a total of 55 crores (6.1 million euros) were raised from 55 French and Indian groups for donating 29 state-of-the-art French-made oxygen generating plants to Indian hospitals across the country. Each of these plants makes a 250-bed hospital fully autonomous in oxygen supply. In addition, IFCCI, in partnership with Business France and Ador Powertron, successfully coordinated the delivery of 537 oxygen concentrators from Montpellier, France, to India. The concentrators were dispatched to various locations across the country.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Payal S. Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI said, "IFCCI is extremely proud to receive this prestigious award on behalf of its contributing members and Team France. The unanimous support of our member companies towards the French Solidarity Mission enabled us to make a large impact and help strengthen the healthcare infrastructure in India during the most challenging phase of COVID-19 in India. This shows how deeply our member companies are committed to India."

After killer spill, dolphin finally sighted in Beas river in Punjab

There are between five and 11 Indus river dolphins in the 185-km stretch of the Beas that flows through Punjab, according to the first organised survey by World Wildlife Federation-India and the state department whose report came out earlier this month. After a search for three days since the spill of molasses from a sugar mill in Gurdaspur killed aquatic animals in the Beas, a team of Punjab’s forest and wildlife department finally sighted a dolphin in the river stretch at Karmuwala near the Harike headworks on Saturday evening.
Mahavir Singh, conservator (wildlife), confirmed the sighting: “A glimmer of hope has emerged that they are all safe.” There are between five and 11 Indus river dolphins in the 185-km stretch of the Beas that flows through Punjab, according to the first organised survey by World Wildlife Federation-India and the state department whose report came out earlier this month. “The health of the dolphin sighted was reported as normal by the team,” the officer further said. Photographic evidence was not immediately available.
Since the leak from Chadha Sugar Mill at Kiri Afgana village killed hundreds of fish, teams were fielded by the department in collaboration with WWF-India to check on dolphins and gharials. Some of the gharials — the river has 47 in all — were already sighted, but worries over the dolphins, among the rare species in the river, remained.
Further, Geetanjali Kanwar, coordinator for the WWF team, said they found the movement of the dolphin was fine, and the survey will conducted further to ascertain the exact condition of the animals. Earlier in the day, Mahavir said, “Had the dolphins died, the bodies would have been seen floating on the surface. It is a tough task to sight them anyway.”
He added that a final report of the survey and the autopsy of the dead fish would come on Monday. It should be able to suggest the fate of the species in the water, he added.
Report filed in court
Also, the forest department on Saturday directly submitted the damage report on details of habitat loss caused by the spill of molasses into the Beas river, at the local court of Batala in Gurdaspur district.
The department prepared the report on Friday under the Wildlife Protection Act, and officials stayed in the court complex throughout the day but failed to file it in the court as the district attorney was busy. On Saturday too, they could not file it through the district attorney and submitted it directly instead. Confirming, district forest officer (Gurdaspur) Rajesh Mahajan said they have been told the report will be considered on Monday. The report is equivalent to a first information report (FIR) as is registered by the police. The mill management has said the leak was an accident.
‘Mill used to release fluid in river earlier too’
Further, on Saturday, Sushil Kumar, a fish contractor, said he had lodged a complaint to the department of fisheries on April 6 this year against the Gurdaspur sugar mill as it “used to spill acidic fluid into Beas river that caused me loss of lakhs of rupees”. A resident of Qadian, Kumar said the complaint was addressed to assistant director of the department at Hoshiarpur, “but no action was taken”. He also sought compensation from the government.
When contacted, Kulwinder Singh, the assistant director, said, “After the complaint, our team visited the site of the mill in the presence of the contractor, but found no such practice there”.
“This is a false allegations as our mill does not indulge any such activity,” said Munish Pal, the mill unit head.

New Delhi:
Days after a 62-year-old inmate of Mandoli Jail died due to COVID-19, 17 others who shared barrack with him tested positive for the disease on Monday, prison officials said.
The first inmate, Kanwar Singh, lodged in Central Jail number 14, Mandoli, died in his sleep on June 15. His test report for COVID-19 came back positive on Saturday, following which 29 inmates who shared barrack with him were also tested, according to officials.
Mr Singh’s is the first case of a Delhi prison inmate dying due to the contagious respiratory disease, reported news agency PTI.
Director General (Prisons) Sandeep Goel said of the 29 inmates who were tested, reports of 17 came back positive on Monday. The remaining 12 inmates have tested negative for the disease.
All the 17 inmates who tested positive have been shifted to a separate barrack in Central Jail number 14 and their health is being closely monitored by the jail doctor. As of now, they are alright, he said.
The 12 inmates who tested negative have also been separately quarantined, he added.
In the wake of an increase in COVID-19 cases in prisons, the officials said, the jail staff and inmates have been briefed to remain extra careful, take all necessary precautions and follow social distancing norms.
Till now, 40 inmates of Delhi Prison have been tested positive for COVID-19, out of which 16 have recovered and one died. As many as 46 prison staff members have also tested positive for the disease. Of these, 12 have recovered so far, according to the officials.
Delhi Prison comprises Tihar, Mandoli and Rohini jails.
Singh was in jail since July 6, 2018. He was lodged in the senior citizens” barrack of Central Jail number 14. He was asymptomatic and the cause of his death was ascertained after a COVID-19 test was conducted on his body, the officials said.
He was serving life imprisonment in a 2016 murder case, they said.

9th Intercity CURO QUIZ COMPETITION, signature event of Sagar Public School, Sakat Nagar was organized on Aug 02,2019 with great zeal and enthusiasm. Over 110 students comprising of teams from 35 Schools across India participated in the competition.
The competition commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp in the presence of Shri K.K. Dubey - Director HR, Sagar Group, Ms. Pankaj Sharma, Principal, Sagar Public School along with renowned quiz master wizard Mr. Ajay Poonia. The quiz was conducted with an online screening test on the theme – ‘India 360o – an update from July 2018 to June 2019’.
The final round was conducted by Mr. Ajay Poonia – renowned quiz master and avid quizzer, in various rounds of direct questions - audio video and buzzer rounds – Teams from Campion School, Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar, Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Delhi Public School, Indore, Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar and Jawaharlal Nehru School qualified in online screening test to grab the top Six slots in final quiz round. A close, nail biting and tough scoring battle in each round among the teams enthralled the audiences and engrossed them. Basis final scoring, Jawaharlal Nehru School School emerged as the leader and were adjudged as the winner. Modern School Team grabbed the First Runners up position with Campion School as the Second Runners up. The winning teams were awarded and felicitated by Mr. Ajay Poonia, Quiz Master, Dr. Jaishree Kanwar, Director, Sagar Group, Shri K.K. Dubey - Director HR, Sagar Group, Ms Pankaj Sharma, Principal, Sagar Public School with trophies and certificates and each participant of the Winner Team was awarded with individual KINDLE, FITBIT, ECHO & HP PRINTER to First Runners up while ECHO to Second Runners up. Participation certificates were given to all schools participating in the quiz.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ajay Poonia gave a huge shout-out to all the participant teams and their mentors. The competition concluded with vote of thanks to Quiz Master, SISTec, Technology Partner of the event and participants to meet next year once again at Curo Quiz 2020.
