I have a character development question about your Chiss ladies! How do they feel about the Force and its users - the Jedi and the Sith? If they were Force-sensitive, would they choose to train their skills?
So I have five main Chiss ladies - the two you know, and three more I've mentioned.
We'll start with the best. Miurani'kal'istae is, like many Chiss, untrustful of the Force. She's not terribly fond of most Force users and she absolutely hates it when anyone uses the Force on her. The irony is not lost on her that her mother-in-law is the former Grandmaster of the Jedi Order, her best friend/sister is a Sith whose power is constantly growing, she was the vehicle for one of the most powerful Force users ever known for over five years...
And her beloved daughter is shaping up to be a Force user every bit as powerful as her famous Shan ancestors. It's all throwing her for all kinds of loops - but she's managing, with the help of her thankfully Force-null husband.
Cip'rys's relationship with the Force is significantly more complicated and even more confusing than Nikali's. For countless generations her family worked to help smuggle Force-sensitive Chiss children out of the Ascendancy, away from the policy of erasure by any means necessary. She was raised to believe that the Force was simply another trait, like cobalt skin or freckles, and that it was their duty as Cipari to ensure that those unfortunate enough to be born Sensitive had a chance to live their lives.
That policy spelled the downfall of her family and led to the extermination of every last Cipari but herself. So it might be understandable that Cip'rys is horribly conflicted as to whether or not it was the fault of the Force, the Ascendancy, or just sheer bad luck that left her bereft of family and home. So while she doesn't share the general Chiss revulsion against the Force - a part of her feels that the galaxy would be better off if the Force just went away.
The last three are Liandyn, my Chiss Jedi Knight, Kyn'aria, my Chiss Jedi Consular, and Kale'syn, my Chiss Sith Inquisitor. All three of them were given no choice - Liandyn and Kale'syn were taken from the Ascendancy by the Sith and forced to learn the ways of the Force, while Kyn'aria was one of the Chiss children smuggled out of the Ascendancy by Cip'rys's family and given over to a Jedi enclave in the Outer Rim to train.
In the end, it wasn't a matter of if they wanted to train or not - they were all powerful enough that it was train or die. It's fortunate that all three of them found joy in learning the ways of the Force, and revel in their own ways at being powerful Force-users - and powerful forces - in the galaxy.
Curious to know more about the development of one of my OCs? Ask!
Thank you for the ask!

I was asked what class my OCs would be if they were in SW:TOR instead of FFXIV. An interesting question, let's see...
Kal'istae would definitely be a Jedi Consular, and while she would start out a Sage, there's definitely hints she would be a baby Shadow under Theron/Thancred's tutelage once the galaxy/world has been saved and she can finally pursue her true dream of being a student.
Ainyan would absolutely be a Scoundrel, using fists and scattergun in equal measure as she wades right into the thick of things. Her cocky grin and quick temper would be right at home among the crew of the XS Stock Light Freighter, and I'm sure she'd charm the pants off of Theron/G'raha with noooo problem.
Kyszarin, my brooding bunny boi, would be much more at home on the Imperial side as an Imperial Agent, operative-flavored with hints of sniper as he hides among the shadows and watches everything with a detached air, waiting for that perfect shot. Raine definitely has Raina Temple vibes; the similarity in names and personalities isn't intentional, but makes me laugh all the same.
Szah'li's underlying anger and ever-present distrust would be a perfect fit for the Sith Warrior's angst, and his intention to be both the shield to prevent such tragedy from striking him again while being the sword that will deal retribution on those who would hurt what's his makes him a Juggernaut. Who will be his Lana Beniko? I know who I'm leaning towards, but he's not far enough along in his story to say for certain.
Ciprys is very much a Sith Inquisitor; oh, she's not insane, certainly not like my Kale'syn, but she's most definitely got a wide, deep streak of seething emotion that prevents her from being the Jedi equivalent. Cirdan is her Andronikos, without, again, that crazy bent; he's her wily pirate who wants nothing more than to give her everything she wants and help raise her apprentices (and/or children) to great and terrible heights.
@actualanxiousswampwitch, this was an awesome exercise! It was fun to really dive into my characters' personalities and think about how they would fit the SWTOR archetypes.
I'm definitely tagging @eorzeashan in this - I'd like to see your thoughts. And @thelealinhypehouse, I know you have played XIV, though I haven't seen you talk it up much. But if you've thoughts, I'd love to hear them! :D
Hmm. Now I kind of am curious as to what flavor of Warrior of Light my SWTOR characters would be... >.>

I've spoken a lot about Miurani'kal'istae and Cip'rys, but let's talk about Jey'mian, my Cipher agent who will never be the Alliance Commander - and we'll touch a little on his older sister, Kale'syn.
Jey'mian was actually my very first Imperial Agent - I played him for many years (he was the character I unlocked the Chiss legacy on) and he became my primary alt when I started playing my Sith Sorcerer, Kale'syn, as my main.
Jey'mian shares some background with Kal'istae: He's from Csilla, he was in Chiss Intelligence before joining the Empire, and he's loyal to the Ascendancy - but the similarities stop there.
Khiar'jey'mian is the son of a Chiss diplomat and his wife. His father was posted to Dromund Kaas for several years, and his wife caught the eye of one of the Sith Lords. Ever Chiss, ever pragmatic, she and her husband agreed that she would become the Sith's lover. That lasted until she came up pregnant and gave birth to a half-Chiss, half-pureblood daughter. As she was strongly Chiss-sided, her blood-sire suffered her to live.
Jey'mian was born three years later, after his family had returned to Csilla. From the time he was born until his sister was taken by the Sith when she was six, he and Kale'syn were inseparable. His parents never quite loved their daughter as much as their son; she looked completely Chiss, but there was something about her that whispered of Sith blood and mysteries and the taint of the Force, and to the Chiss, there was little worse. But Jey'mian was too young to see such things, and Kale'syn responded to his adoration with her own.
She was taken by her blood-father as a slave when she was six and he found out she was exhibiting signs of being extremely powerful in the Force, leaving her family behind. Jey'mian never saw her again until she'd already attained the rank of Darth Nox and his duties as Cipher Nine brought him in contact with the Dark Council.
Meanwhile, Jey'mian grew up, attended the Chiss Academy, and chose to enter intelligence rather than the Diplomatic Service like his father. He did quite well and caught the attention of Sith Intelligence, who were rolling out an initiative to incorporate more aliens into their ranks. They recruited Jey'mian, who came willingly and joined their ranks, eventually earning the rank of Cipher Nine.
Although a loyal son of the Ascendancy, Jey'mian was also loyal to their allies in the Sith Empire, and nothing changed that fact. He became a bit disillusioned with the waste perpetrated by the Sith, and their treatment of his sister, his people, and his comrades-in-arms often led him to take little, petty actions against their interests when he knew it wouldn't do more than sting their pride and perhaps their income. But in the greater scheme of things, everything he did was designed to maintain Imperial superiority and strike out against their enemies.
Thank you for asking more about my OCs! If you're interested in learning more, feel free to send me another ask. ^.^
