New Jeans (2022) Get Up (2023) NewJeans

The cynic in me dismisses NewJeans’ coolness, the group’s tasteful and thumping nods to UK garage and bass, as no more than corporate ploy – but if corporate ploys can manage this, mark me a mindless chump. This is really rather excellent, only a fool would dismiss something so undeniably chic.

I know praising IVE is seen as unpopular nowadays (when only a few months ago they were untouchable), but it’s not surprising this single album is beautifully mastered. I am waiting for the full album, or at least a mini, but if they consistently put out songs like those above, I’m doing alright 😁

A song by song review can be found underneath the cut. My favorite track is Royal. My Least favorite track is Love Dive.
