revisiting qw even for a sec was so dangerous bc god i love that story and im so feral over how i can’t share it with y’all yet
#50+ query rejections man... im sick of capitulating to the man#granted this was 3 years ago lol but like the way so many agents will reject a query outright if its 'too long' when like listen#some of the novels getting prof pubbed these days that are a nice brief 50 - 60k are also absolute garbage so. maybe if the story is good#that should be enough#but i know yadda yadda yadda capitalism is killing storytelling yadda yadda yadda maggie sounds bitter etc etc#im honestly not even bitter tho im just like. sad. and also over it LOL hence my elaborate scheme to be a writer in my own way#all in due time... all in due time#maggie.txt#also for the record the experience of querying was good im glad i did it. good exercise#just.... big pub's priorities vs my priorities as a creative...
