#just like israeli soldiers flying the pride flag after committing ethnic cleansing doesn't suddenly mean I have to stop using it

Personally I've found that an easy way to tell if someone is a lost cause for me is if they refuse to accept that "From the river to the sea" isn't a genocidal slogan. Palestinians have explained the meaning. They've explained the history, and how liberation does not equal genocide. It's the same principle we understand with ease in every other situation regarding oppressed parties. Anyone who chooses to ignore their voices in favour of clinging to zionist propaganda is no more worth your time than a right winger insisting Black Lives Matter means white genocide, or that gay pride is an attack on straight people. They have chosen who they want to believe, and what they want to spend their time and energy protesting. And we, in turn, can see exactly who they are and what they stand for. I've found it to be a very useful litmus test for bad faith actors.
#saw someone put from the river to the sea and gas the jews in the same category as forms of antisemitism#absolutely nauseating how you can correlate those two and believe you're doing something right#and not just being an antisemetic and anti palestinian ghoul#I do understand the point about nazis. nazis will try to co-opt everything palestine related but that doesn't mean we can let them#just like israeli soldiers flying the pride flag after committing ethnic cleansing doesn't suddenly mean I have to stop using it#or that it would be better if I do. Fuck them and fuck nazis. They don't own these symbols and slogans and they never will#90% of these people don't want you to change your symbols and slogans. They want you to stop having symbols and slogans altogether.#it's a pattern we've seen over and over again.
