what's the most chronically online take you've heard recently? oh well mine's got to be [a joke that right wingers took seriously to justify their moral panic], [post that's almost certainly made by a troll account], [slightly unfortunately worded post that's being interpreted in the worst faith possible], [tweet by an overzealous 14 year old with 10 followers who was then subjected to weeks of non-stop harassment and death threats] or maybe [a single statement from a long and complex discussion that's been completely taken out of context]. online leftists are so sensitive and extreme and make the movement look bad ha ha i'm very smart and reasonable
#like i'm not denying that bad chronically online takes exist#but the obsession with documenting chronically online takes is often extremely bad faith and plays into culture war nonsense#also a suspiciously high amount of 'chronically online takes' is ppl discussing everyday ableism & accessibility issues#just bc you're not willing to admit a problem exists doesn't make it chronically online to discuss it#someone will say 'i have a hard time opening wrapped presents bc of my disability and wish more people considered that'#and ppl will respond with 'oh so wrapping birthday presents is ableist now? what a chronically online take'
