I enjoy chopped but man some of the "weird and gross" ingredients are just like. normal food from other countries
#so far the 1st round had haggis and like... idk I've never had it but i assume the national dish of any country is gonna be at least decent#it's an *each basket gets a Weird Gross ingredient* episode and i feel like the rest are also just gonna be international foods#that are genuinely enjoyed in their own country#man as someone passionate abt food and cooking that just. irritates me.#just bc a food isn't something you're used to/uses ingredients you've never seen it isn't automatically weird and gross!!!#and i see it so much directed at countries the united states already either don't tend to take seriously (scotland/nordic countries)#or ones that this country is more blatantly racist towards (southeast asia comes to mind)#if a dish is important to the country it's from at LEAST don't ridicule it/the people who eat it!!! esp if you've never tried it yourself!!!#misc
