who: EMERY LAO. location: Emery’s apartment. timeline: Junseo & Emery mumu. low key ft. @plvnetarium‘s Jupiter. timeframe: Day off, napping at home. why: y’ah girl loves her some angst

↬ He was sleeping. It felt like forever where he could actually just sleep and sleep and sleep until he didn’t have to wake up. But his body clock doesn’t work like that any longer. Waking him up before he has the chance to full get that lazy feel of sleeping for hours.

↬ Though it’s not just his body clock that’s waking him up. Its the shrill sound of a ringtone form his phone. Everyone has personal ringtones, ones that he pays for, so it’s weird to get a generic call. Even Saturn and Atlas had personal ringtones, Atlas’s not the most friendly song in the world, but still the same.

↬ His fingers grip the phone and bring it to his ear, “Hello?” His sleep dry voice speaks into the receiver. “Emery? This is your mother.” The voice on the other line says, and instantly Emery feels his body tense up. His.. his mother. Right he had one, a mother. He sits up, the blanket falling around him as he licks his lips. Tense and he doesn’t know why she’s calling--why she has his number, but the pit of his stomach feels like it’s clenching and he doesn’t know what to say. “Hi. Um. Hello. Yes. Can I help you?” He feels himself cringe.

↬ There is a brief silence on the phone, “your aunt and uncle have been informing us of everything that you’ve gone through while living here.” Emery verbally swallows, clutching the phone tight in his hand. “And apparently, not only did you do something disgusting to some poor boy, you’ve also left his apartment knowing he and his family can’t sufficiently pay for it alone without caring about them. I didn’t know my sister raised such a terrible boy.”

↬ He wants to throw up. He wants to throw the phone across the room. His hands are shaking but he’s not saying anything. “I know that you’ve already apologized to his parents and him for doing such vile things with him, for trying to turn him into what you are,” he can hear the sneer in her voice. His stomach clenches. “It’s disgusting that you could ever do such thing with another man, but it’s over now. And you owe him to stay with him since he can’t afford to live alone.”

↬ Emery licks his lips and wills words to come out. Wills something to come out. Wills himself to say anything. But his mouth feels dry and sandpapery. “I’m in a relationship. With a man.” He says finally, and waits. He waits so long he looks at the phone screen to check if she’s hung up or not. “Ma’am?” That was enough to get a response, “I’m your mother Emery. Break up with him immediately and quit your foolish fantasies. Move back in with that poor boy before he ends up being kicked out. Fix your mistakes.”

↬ His mouth clamps shut. His shaking wont stop now, it’s moved from his hands to his entire body. He wants to defend himself, he wants to say anything against her. He wants to stop being silent, but no matter what he can’t get anything out. “Did you hear me Emery?” He feels tears slip out of eyes. “Also--we’ve moved to the Korea as well. We live in Busan. You’ll come and visit right?”

↬ “I--I--I.” His jaw clamps. “Stop stuttering, you’re a man aren’t you.” His mother says.

↬ “I’m not going to break up with him.” Emery says. There is another long silence on the phone.

↬ “You disgust me.” She says, and the line goes dead. He feels himself shaking. He feels like dying, like he wants to stop being alive. For the first time in his life, Emery wishes he wasn’t alive. That he didn’t have to deal with this. He wants to disappear. He wants to--he wasn’t to just stop existing, just so they can’t reach him.

↬ His fingers are numb as they dial a phone number, “Jupiter? C-c-can you come over?” He says once the line is answered.

*. ABOUT SHIPS && VERSES.

i've decided to make this mainly so i can find an actual grip in organizing my muses' ships and the current verses they have.

another sidenote i should probably include here is how critical my muses' ships are to their character development. because as much as i write for them, my muses' CONNECTIONS with yours allow them to grow even more as a person, outside the realms of whichever background they have. so for allowing your muse to be part of mine’s JOURNEY in such a significant manner, i cannot THANK YOU enough !!

HOWEVER, if the muse does not have a main ship and there are no verses specified in PARENTHESIS, it means that the ships are, currently, either in a FREEVERSE, or the muns have yet to discuss whether they are to fall on a particular verse -- main or au, mumu or not. freeverse basically means that a ship is fair-game and do not coexist with a conflicting ship (whether for my muse or yours) in their set verse unless agreed upon to during plotting.

The mumu is my “main” verse in my head for my muses but in no ways means that our interactions outside of this verse isn’t as special and loved by me. It just means that these are my main mumu verse!
