the thing about riverdale is that it was always silly. it was never 100% serious. it has been ridiculous since season 1. the jughead weirdo scene happens in episode 10 maybe. so when people say things like "oh it used to be great but i stopped watching when it got ridiculous in season 3" it always confuses me because it got ridiculous way before that

#season 2 literally has chic you're telling me you watched his scenes with a straight face?#i started thinking it sucked and then liked it again when i started watching it ironically #BEFORE THE END OF SEASON 1 #i can prove it my tweets from 2017 are still up #but like yeah it's BEEN ridiculous i'm sorry you can't appreciate the greatest show of the 21st century because you 'only wanted to find #out who killed jason' and now the show is too all over the place for you #at the end of season 1 clifford blossom hangs himself and jughead talks about the season ending on a cliffhanger. was i supposed to just #give up on this show #no but seriously it's SO funny and entertaining #jughead literally almost died in the nyc sewers with rats crawling all around/over him like there could've been a plague outbreak #i could be making this up but i'm really not that creative #in season 4 chad michael murray's character edgar evernever built himself a rocket to escape after abandoning the cult he ran #it was the apocalypse last season and there was a guy named percival #i'll miss it when it's gone it's a very fun way to spend 42 minutes #you wouldn't get it #rvd #and like i say: brf slt
