Another idea for the Symphogear Gunvolt crossover, this time, who I thought would make for a good main villain. A lot of GV's villain would make for great threats for Hibiki and the girls to face, but the winner to me has to be Shiden The Mighty (Nova in the English dub). Translating him and the setting he brings with Sumeragi and their Seven Swordsmen into Symphogear's world could lead to a lot of interesting character work.

And since the S.O.N.G girls tend to face giant world-ending machines as the final challenge every season, I have to point out that Shiden's Armed Phenomenon is a colossal armor coupled with two monsters that is described as having god-like power.

But the real reason I thought of Shiden - besides him being my fave GV final boss - is that his full name is Shiden Tsukuyomi, you know... like Shirabe Tsukuyomi. And yeah, that is something I think would be very fun to explore.

In my head it be all about how despite the two of them being related, they would see no value in that bond, because Shirabe already has a real family in Maria, Hibiki, Tsubasa and Chris, and she has Kirika's love, and Shiden is focused on securing Sumeragi's hold on power.

But they also would have parallels with how both were seen as "failures" by the people who ruined them an how they reacted to that.

How needing Linker to be fully in synch with her gear doesn't fully get to Shirabe because she has the love and assurance of her friends to remind her that she'll always be more than the weapon the F.I.S wanted her to be.

And how after Sumeragi failed to replicate the Azure Striker electrical powers through experimenting on Shiden, he seeks to prove his own value by becoming their most powerful tool, justifying his existence through the strength he can give to Sumeragi.

I also just really like the idea of a main villain who's main connection to the Symphogear team is with one of the F.I.S trio. Feels like a good shake up.

Also, another neat little parallel, Shiden is also admired by a green-colored, ligh-to-his-shadow-theme blade user named Jota. Though to make it tragic yaoi, Jota amires Shiden for the power he holds and his dedication to their nation.

I know making this connection seems a bit silly, but I had a ton of fun thinking of it. I really think I'll keep thinking about this crossover for a long time.

Well, it’s that time of the year again for drawing Zonda, so I went ahead and provided some extra company this time around.

My original concept was, uh...not quite working out because I was once again bamboozled by some of the shapes on Zonda’s transformed form. >__> This ended up coming together much better, haha. Mimicking NEO:TWEWY is always a fun art exercise.

And, indeed, everyone here does have some additional details that got cropped from the final piece, so here’s everyone in full. Uwu

So it's Kirby Return to Dreamland's 10th anniversary (fucking love that game, literally uncontested), so of course I had to make fanart of it (which you can view here), and I was listening to some music while drawing some Gunvolt.

And...well...this happened.

Background: This is the Gunvolt from the bad ending of Gunvolt 3. Right before he completely disappeared, RiFT sent his body to the Net. In order to save him, RiFT reconstructed Gunvolt into a Net Navi and asked him to join his team to protect the Multiverse. Seeing how his power is more controlled in the Net, as well as thanks for saving his life, Gunvolt agreed and became part of the team. Although anyone can use him, he was specifically assigned to Chaud since Lan already had Elecman as an Elec type Net Navi.

Speaking of which, the two get along like brothers. Elecman is really impressed with the amazing Adept techniques, and even asked Welch to invent Battle Chips based on Gunvolt's attacks so he can use them himself.

Gunvolt feels a bit awkward around Nana, who reminds him so much of Joule.

Upon reuniting with Elise, Gunvolt was glad that she was given a second chance like he was. Out of all the enemy Adepts he had to fight, the real Elise was the one he regret having to fight. The two are now good friends and have put their past history behind them.

Gunvolt is quite amazed how the abilities of the Net Navis are similar to Adepts. Many of them remind him of Adepts he met in the past, such as Burnerman being similar to Viper, Tenguman being similar to Jota, and even Elecman and Megaman being similar to himself.

Just like how Megaman now has a tame version of Beast Out within him, Gunvolt has a tamed version of Primal Dragon within him. Although this gives him no transformation, it does give him abilities he only had as a Primal Dragon.
