The Role of Internships in Learning Skills for Freshers
Freshers face the task of showing their worth and relevance in their chosen disciplines in today's constantly changing work market. Internships are one of the most effective strategies for freshers to bridge the knowledge base and practical application gap. These changes give hands-on experience and play an essential part in moulding an individual's abilities and competencies. In this blog, we will look at the importance of Job Vacancy for Freshers and how they contribute to skill development.
Theoretical Knowledge Applied into Practice
Internships serve as a practical application of theoretical principles gained in the classroom. Freshers frequently have academic knowledge but need more practical knowledge of how to apply it in professional situations. Internships give a platform for individuals to put their textbook knowledge into action. Interns get to observe first how their academic base is comparable with the profession's needs, whether coding, marketing techniques, or financial analysis.
Exposure to Industry Practices
Every sector has best practices, procedures, and complexity beyond what a classroom can teach. Internships expose freshers to these industry-specific methods, helping them understand their chosen sector's dynamics. This experience improves their understanding and gives them when entering the employment market, an edge in competition. Internships provide freshers with the practical expertise businesses desire by allowing them to learn from seasoned professionals and adapt to industry standards.
The expansion and specialization of skills
Internships allow new graduates to explore all aspects of their chosen career, like Capgemini Careers, and find their talents and interests. Internships allow learners to specialize in specific talents, and academic courses provide an in-depth analysis. Internships allow freshers to expand their skill set and find areas where they may shine, whether improving programming languages, understanding marketing analytics tools, or becoming great at project management.
Networking and Professional Development
Building a professional network is critical for job advancement, and internships provide a perfect networking opportunity. Freshers participate with professionals, experts, and other people during internships, forming relationships that will be useful in the future. These contacts not only provide direction and instruction, but they may also lead to career chances. Internships, therefore, assist not just in skill development but also in freshers' entire professional growth.
Conclusion
Finally, internships play an essential role in development, preparing them for the difficulties of the working world. Internships are an essential element of a fresher journey since they provide practical application of academic information, exposure to industry practices, skill inclusion, and networking possibilities. Internships become stepping stones toward a successful and happy career as fresh graduates seeking new employment using Jobs Alert look to establish themselves in various industries. Accepting internships as a learning and growth opportunity is more than a decision; it is an intentional investment in building the foundation for a bright professional future.

Good Job! | Daryl Dixon x Fem!Reader
Summary: When out gathering supplies with Daryl, he successfully catches your dinner. To show him how proud you were, you bestowed him the highest honour you could at that moment—a sticker.
Genre: Fluff.
Era: Prison.
Warnings: Animal death.
Word count: 1.2k.
A/N: Inspired by a post I saw by @darylsdelts. I hope y’all like this!
The sun was shining brightly in the sky. Birds were chirping merrily from their sanctuary in the trees and the air just felt fresher than usual. If it were the old world, you would have spent the day lounging next to some body of water, a cold beverage in your hand as you soaked up the vitamin D the sun provided.
But it was not the old world. Instead of spending the day relaxing or something along those lines, you were instead trudging through the woods in clothes too long to be worn in such intense heat, wearing shoes so heavy you were seriously amazed that people wore them simply because they wanted to before the dead started walking, lugging a duffle bag full of supplies and deadly rifle along with you—a weapon you never would have thought you would be able to handle with the immense skill you now possessed.
Despite all those nuances that, under normal circumstances, would have had you complaining, you could not find it in yourself to do so, because it was not normal circumstances. The harshness of the world run by the dead had toughened your resolve and made you realize that some discomforts definitely were not as bad as you once thought them to be. Sure, you absolutely despised having to eat worms when the situation called for it, but you held your tongue because it was certainly better than the alternative, which was to starve.
Very rarely did you complain about anything nowadays—well, that is, if you did not count in the amount of times you had complained about Glenn’s snoring before, but that was all more in good fun. And a good chunk of what you knew to survive in a world like this was all thanks to the man you were trailing behind; your partner, Daryl Dixon.
As if somehow sensing that you had been thinking of him, Daryl glanced over his shoulder at you, his blue eyes sparkling with a softness reserved only for you.
“You alright back there?” he called back to you, despite already knowing what the answer would be. You were not the type of person to complain much about anything, and that was an attribute about you that he loved.
You nodded your head and adjusted the rifle’s strap over your shoulder. “I’m fine, Dar,” you assured him, sending him a radiant smile.
He nodded his head and turned his attention back in front of him. He kept his crossbow trained in front of him as his eyes searched for any dangers that could be lurking in the shadows, be it a walker, a wild animal, or another person. His main mission was to get the two of you to his bike that had been left abandoned for the time being, as the two of you had been forced to go on foot to the cabin Michonne had come across whilst on her search for the Governor.
The cabin—which had been in pretty decent shape despite being abandoned—had been stocked with supplies. You and Daryl, along with some other people, would have to go back in the morning to get the rest of the supplies. The two of you had stumbled across a metaphorical gold mine.
“So, Daryl,” you began, deeming it safe to strike up a conversation when the man in question grunted in acknowledgement. “What’s your favourite bird?”
The unexpectedness of the question made Daryl chuckle. He shrugged nonchalantly, keeping his eyes trained forward. “I don’ know. Maybe a bluejay?”
You nodded in approval at his choice, although he could not see you do so. “Great choice.”
Daryl hummed, glancing back at you. “Why’d ya ask?” he inquired. However, his attention got diverted when he heard something in the distance, his senses jumping to high alert.
“Just curious, is all.” You transferred the duffle bag from your one hand into the other, nearly sighing in relief when the blood began circulating through it again. “What—”
“Shh,” he shushed you quietly, instantly shutting you up. He motioned for you to stay put as he quietly stalked towards the bush where the source of the noise was, his crossbow raised and ready to be fired at a moment’s notice.
The perpetrator quickly got revealed in the form of a raccoon when Daryl pulled the leaves back. It hissed up at the archer, but it quickly got silenced when one of Daryl’s bolts pierced through its body. The pained whimper it let out right before it died made your heart ache a bit, but you quickly reminded yourself that it was necessary. It meant that there was the slightest bit more nutrition to bring back to the prison. Its death would not be in vain.
Daryl picked up his bolt, the raccoon’s body sat on it, before turning back to you. He simply raised the arrow a bit, shrugging a bit as he looked at you.
“Got us our dinner,” he said simply, as if it was the most natural thing to say.
You laughed lightly at him, shaking your head. However, it was as if a lightbulb went of in your head. Placing the duffle bag on the ground, you leaned down and zipped it open before rummaging through multiple cans of food and other supplies, in search of something you had bagged for little Judith to play with.
“Ah-ha!” you exclaimed victoriously when you found it, taking it out of the bag to reveal a small sticker book. You stepped towards your partner while flipping through the pages, searching for the sticker you had spotted when you had initially looked through it the first time.
You found it after a few moments. You gently peeled the sticker off of the page and pressed it against the archer’s beloved vest, the bright, neon-like yellow ‘good job!’ standing out against the gray leather. You smiled and gently patted his chest, before taking a step back.
“Good job,” you repeated the words on the sticker, giggling to yourself.
Daryl rolled his eyes at you, but he could not help the small smile that tugged at the corners of his mouth. “Thanks,” he drawled sarcastically, trying not to laugh at the silliness of the situation. “S’much appreciated.”
“Oh, come on. I know you love it,” you told him through your small fits of laughter, your eyes sparkling as you looked up at him.
Daryl simply shook his head. “You’re ridiculous, ya know that?” Despite his words, he could not help the warmth that bloomed in his chest. He felt oddly touched by the small gesture, felt appreciated. He could not explain it.
You laughed and picked up the bag again, before beginning to walk again. “Yeah, but you love that about me.”
Among a lot of other things, Daryl thought to himself. However, he shook the thought from his mind and caught up with you, this time falling into step beside you rather than being in the lead.
As the two of you walked the remaining short distance to Daryl’s bike, with you striking up another conversation, Daryl simply admired you. He felt like the luckiest man alive for being able to say that you were his girl.
And if he got teased by the members of his found family for the sticker that remained on his vest for the rest of that day, he could not have cared less.

Padawan (TBB x Male Reader) Part 2
Part 1
Characters: The Bad Batch - Cross hair + Cid.
Relationship: All platonic
POV: Only 2nd (you/yours)
Pronouns: he/him
Species: Unspecified
Content: Smidge of angst and worry, but mainly found family growing into fluff
Warnings: General TBB stuff, a little bit about Order 66. Cringe lol.
Word Count: 2,796
Notes: If anyone has any requests/ideas for this 'series,' please let me know! I'd love to learn more about what ya'll like and incorporate it. (and i'll obviously credit you in the notes for whichever part it goes in)
The Bad Batch was sound asleep, exempt from their designated pilot. Tech was comfortably cruising through hyper-space, multitasking on a new upgrade for Echo’s arm-scomp and watching the scanners. A light beep alerted him, signaling that they were approaching Ord Mantell. He lightly pushed his goggles upwards, before pressing a series of buttons. The Marauder shook as it dropped from hyperspace, the tremors waking Hunter up from his nap in the co-pilot's seat. He would usually sleep in his bunk until Tech needed a break, but his bunk was… preoccupied, so to speak.
“We close to Ord Mantell, Tech?” Hunter asked groggily, cracking his neck. “Approximately 11 minutes and 36 seconds until we enter the atmosphere, and then another 23 minutes until we reach the landing pad. I would begin waking everyone else up.” With a sign, Hunter stood up, arms reaching far above his head, ever-so-slightly leaning backwards. He turned around and started heading towards the bunks, wondering how he should go about waking you up. He didn’t know how much you would remember, and he certainly didn’t want to find out the hard way.
Of course, there was always the option of letting your body wake up on its own time, and just having someone stick with the ship until then, but there was the risk of general clatter and ruckus occurring and startling you awake anyway, which would be a harsh wake-up call, to say the least. After a second more of contemplation, he finally settled on leaving you be, and simply shushing Wrecker the moment his eyes opened. He walked up to his brother, shaking his arm. Wrecker awoke with a large grunt, like an ancient monster waking from a coma in an echoing mountain, before Hunter aggressively shushed him. He sharply pointed across the walking strip to your body, an absolute tangled mess of limbs and droll.
Wrecker got the hint, making an ‘oohhh’ sound before slowly sitting up, careful to minimize the amount of creaking. Hunter walked on, heading towards Echo and Omega, shaking them both awake- Omega more gently. She yawned and stretched, smiling and greeting Hunter, before quickly grabbing her day-clothes before heading off to the fresher to change. Hunter went back to the cockpit, where his brothers were already making quiet discussions of what to do with you, the ‘teenager-that-had-essentially-magic-powers-and-was-being-hunted.’ Primarily how they would handle Cid. She tolerated them because they did jobs for her, and they didn’t really matter to the Empire- except for Omega, it was appearing. But a Padawan? That would be a lot of credits, and it would put someone on the Empire’s good side- at least for a little bit. Cid wasn’t above ratting them out for that kind of profit. Or, at least, she wasn’t above ratting out the Padawan while keeping them away from the Empire’s eyes for the sake of missions. “Perhaps we can convince Cid that his use in missions, among other things, would outweigh the reward from the Empire. Even without using the Force in a physical push-and-pull manner, it can still be used for mind tricks, sensing danger, and much more, depending on his skill set. We could increase our efficiency and time duration of missions greatly, which would hold a great profit for Cid,” Tech explained, preparing for the Marauder to enter Ord Mantell’s atmosphere.
“That's true, but there’s no way to know what Cid will say- if she agrees, great, but if she doesn’t…” Hunter responded, eyes glancing back at your sleeping form as he trailed off. If they told her about you, and she decided to tell the Empire, then no one would be safe.
“There’s no way for Cid to be kept in the dark long enough to find a better solution, and we can’t exactly just hide a whole person in the Marauder,” Echo added on, waving his scomp-link around the cockpit for emphasis.
“Of course, this is all assuming that (Y/N) will want to remain with us. He may know someone, or someplace, that is safe. Additionally, he may even know Cid. Echo said that she would occasionally report to the Jedi,” Tech countered, briefly glancing back towards his brothers, away from the planet and control panel. Echo nodded in confirmation. “Do we…” Hunter trailed off, sighing, and pinched the bridge of his nose, “do we have any place to go if Cid decides to tell the Empire? Echo, do you know anyone else who would help?”
“Rex, obviously- but he’s more involved with defeating the Empire than we are, so it’d be an extra risk to the kid. Maybe Cut and Suu, if we can get a hold of them. But I don’t think either of us want to put that kind of risk on them- not with Jek and Shaeeah.” Wrecker made a comment of agreement, briefly looking up from his game of Chopsticks with Omega. A heavy silence fell over the group, uncertainty thick in the air.
“Entering the atmosphere,” Tech reported, breaking the awkward silence. The Marauder shook as gravity’s presence took its toll. It settled back down to a smooth ride within a minute, the greens and browns- mainly browns- of Ord Mantell’s natural landscape coming closer. “I think Cid will understand, plus, like Tech said, (Y/N) can help us out!” Omega added, not looking up from her hands.
Hunter looked down, contemplating. Would the reward of Cid accepting the kid outweigh the risk of her turning him in to the Empire? Tech did have a point, your presence would make things go smoother- but if Cid didn’t care about that point? What then? Would they be able to escape the Empire, find a new place to settle down- there was bound to be some planet that was safe- but would they find it before the Empire found them?
They could keep you holed up in the ship for a while, but sooner or later, Cid would find out. And once she found out, that could damage their… relationship, so to speak. Assuming she wouldn’t tell the Empire immediately, anyway. So that wouldn’t work either. There was no good solution, and everyone knew it. Finally, Hunter spoke up- “Wrecker, Omega, you two stay with (Y/N) and help him with anything- food, water, applying new bandages. You get the idea. Echo, you're with me- we’ll get anything we’d need for a long-term stay on the ship; med kits, food, supplies, whatever. Tech, make sure the ship has enough fuel, and make any necessary fixes. Don’t let anyone else know. After you're done, I’ll tell Cid about… the kid. We’ll see where it goes from there.”
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
The Marauder drifted down, landing neatly in the center of the dock. Tech quickly pulled out his data-pad, scanning for any previously unnoticed internal damage. Luckily, the report came back negative- as he had guessed, there was no new damage. Satisfied, he checked the Marauder’s current fuel level, so he’d know when to stop filling. Tech, Echo, and Hunter exited the Marauder, swiftly closing and securely locking the ramp behind them.
The innards of the Marauder were quiet, Omega and Wrecker not really knowing what to do. They both sat on the bunk opposite you, staring, just in case you’d wake up and need something. Wrecker had rations and a water canteen to his left, while Omega had fresh bandages and bacta-spray to her right. “Uhhh…” Wrecker broke the silence, glancing down at Omega, “do we just… wait for him to wake up? It feels weird, just staring.”
“I don’t know… on Kamino, we would usually wait, but this is nothing like injured clones on Kamino.” She sighed, wringing her hands together. “I just…feel so bad. I mean, our home was destroyed, but at least we have each other. (Y/N) doesn’t have anyone, and he’s been alone on that ship since the Empire took over. I can’t imagine what it must have been like…”
“Well, at least we found him before the Empire did, and any situation we’re in will probably be better than Bracca. Plus, he’s probably dead to the Empire, so they won’t be after him!” Wrecker responded, finding the silver lining. He and Omega looked at eachother, smiling. It felt good to help people.
On cue, the blankets opposite the pair began shuffling, a long groan sounding out through the metal walls of the Marauder. You turned over, eyes droopy and your Padawan braid/beads hanging by the corner of your mouth, covered in drool. Slowly, you put your weight onto a hand and pushed yourself up, leaning against the back wall of the bunk. Your head lolled back, another sigh escaping. Everything hurts. “Good morning! Er, afternoon! You slept forever, little Jedi!” Wrecker enthusiastically shouted, causing you to immediately sit up straight, hand shooting down to your waist for the familiar feeling of your lightsaber, only to be met with nothing. Kriff.
Wrecker immediately sensed your panic, and put his hands up in an attempt of looking unhostile. “Don’t worry, you're safe! We’ve had our heads cut into, so we won’t be doing any of that Order 66 stuff!” All you could do was stare, a comically surprised expression etched across your face. He had an interesting way of wording things.
Wrecker stood up and handed you the canteen and ration bad. “Here, rations and water! They’re not the best, and we can pick up some better food soon, but I bet you're starved!” And you were. True, the mantell mix Omega had gifted you was delicious, but after so long of never having a proper meal, you certainly wouldn’t refuse any more food or water.
“Thank you…” You glanced down after taking the food, quietly chewing on the ration bar, occasionally taking sips from the canteen. You were never good socially at the Temple, and you certainly weren't any better at the moment. Omega asked you some more questions; if there was any pain, did you bleed through any bandages, and such. You responded in short answers, so quiet she was struggling to pick up what was said. Eventually, she deemed you healthy- or, at least, as healthy as you could be, given the circumstances. She stayed with you, telling stories about Kamino and the few trips she’s had away from it. Mainly, though, she talked about her brothers.
After Maker knows how long, the Marauder’s ramp opened, Tech, Echo, and Hunter coming in, one by one. Tech was lugging fuel, and the other two held general equipment, food, med-kits, and more. While Tech didn’t pay as much mind to your waking, Echo and Hunter sure did- Echo more so.
After setting down the cargo, he practically spritened to the bunk you were on, crouching down on one knee and using his scomp-link to lift up your jaw, and do other inspections. “You need a shower- desperately. And new clothes, these are completely ruined! Our old room is nothing compared to this! Even Fives smelled better! And you need some proper nourishment- I know how I felt after being in that stasis chamber for so long. And mantell mix is not nourishment, no matter what Wrecker and Omega tell you, got that?” He finished his spiel, pointing his scomp-link at you. “Iba’ oskik’la…”
* (“what a mess” in mando’a)
“Yeah, I think he’s got it, Echo,” Hunter chimed in, smiling. “C’mon, kid. I need you to meet someone. She used to work with the Jedi, so I don’t think she’d do anything. But, just in case, we have everything ready to go. And if all goes well, ” You swallowed, a large lump forming in your throat. You really hoped she wouldn’t do anything bad- you were already enough of a burden. You and Hunter walked down the ramp, Omega gleefully waving goodbye.
He could hear your heartbeat, your anxiety- but he didn’t know much on how to help, given the circumstances. Kriff, you didn't know about the chips until they found you, and he couldn’t imagine what that must have felt like. When Wrecker had been affected and tried to kill everyone, at least they all knew it wasn’t his fault, that he hadn’t betrayed them, and that he would never try to do that when he was in control. But you had no clue about any of that. You thought all the clones who were your friends, or even just ones you were polite with for the sake of being a good person, had all wanted to kill you, and all the other Jedi. You had thought that for months. Cursing yourself, wondering why, and if there was anything you could have done differently to prevent it. And now, irony at its best, you had been rescued by clones, coming to remove their chips.
“We’re on Ord Mantell, by the way… don’t know if anyone told you. Ever been?” he asked, raising an eyebrow. You shook your head, eyes darting from sign to sign, stall to stall. “Most planets I’ve been on, except for Coruscant, were just… military occupations, occasionally the natural landscape of Separatists planets. Never got to travel outside of that,” you said, still taking in all the colorful decor and people of the city. “I mean, you know what that’s like, obviously- being a clone and all, you went to the same type of planets I did. I think, at least.”
Hunter nodded his head in confirmation, not really sure where to go from there. What you said was pretty accurate, but he felt like he shouldn’t talk about the war much. And in any case, they were approaching Cid’s.
You and Hunter trotted down the steps, the automatic door sliding open. Cid’s bar was empty, spare for an Ithorian and Weequay who were bickering over who knows what, and obviously, Cid herself. You placed yourself behind Hunter, something you would do with your Master during the war to avoid any interaction with… anyone. Slicing droids was easy, making conversation with soldiers was not.
You slowly glanced around the parlor, taking in anything that could be a trap, or could help you escape if this ‘Cid’ decided she didn’t want a padawan on her doorstop. Hunter called out for Cid, and the distant sound of claws tapping against the cold, hard floor echoed out. Emerging from the back rooms was a rather short female trandoshan, a cane gripped in her three claws.
Her eyes went back and forth between your semi-hidden figure and Hunter. “Where’s the rest of ya? And who’s that kid in the terrible robes? They stink.” There was an obvious scowl on her face, her left brown rose in an annoyed and questioning manner.
Hunter took a deep breath, and then- “He’s… a Padawan.” Cid’s brows rose, and then lowered into a vicious scowl. “Before you say anything- hear me out. He was trapped at Bracca, and the scavengers didn’t know- Tech checked the Empire’s wanted, and he’s dead to them. The Empire won’t come here, and it’s not like anyone on the street will know- he’s just a padawan. Not a full-on Jedi, not a general. But, he can still help. Even without using the Force to push and pull, he can still sense danger and… stuff.” Hunter wasn’t really sure how the Force worked. But he knew it was useful. Before Cid could rebuttal, he continued. “And imagine how helpful a padawan would be in making sure your deals go right! Being able to sense a bad deal, or if someone unwelcome is coming. And some of them can do mind tricks. He’ll be very useful to you- just let him stay with us.”
Cid looking down, in thought, a scowl etched on her face. Finally, she sighed. “Fine! But if the Empire comes knocking, I’m not keeping his hide a secret. Too much heat.” She walked away, already planning what to do with you.
Hunter looked back, smiling. You tried your best to smile, but you knew full well it looked incredibly awkward and forced. Not that you weren’t happy, by any means. You just weren’t prepared, and he knew that. Hunter placed a hand on your shoulder, attempting to provide comfort. And it worked. For the first time in months, despite the constant dread of what was to come, everything seemed to be going right. You could stay with them, and they could stay with Cid.
“Let’s go get you some proper fitting, and smelling clothes, yeah? Echo wasn’t wrong when he said it was worse than our old barracks.” Your smile shifted to a natural one, not forced or awkward. You certainly didn’t think you’d ever see a clone again; and it certainly wouldn’t be a happy experience, but it seemed like this batch was going to be the best thing to happen in a while.

Pairings: din djarin x female reader Rating: explicit. 18+ Word count: 3k Warnings: please read all warnings before continuing, this is straight up filth. explicit smut, unprotected p-in-v, ass play (who am i?), mention of spitting (who have i become?), dom/sub dynamics, cursing, edging, smallest mention of spanking, light reference to daddy kink. A/N: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, @the-scandalorian! i'm sorry this is a year late...but here you go! this is for you 💖 Masterlist | Taglist
The consistent, low-humming of the ship is the primary sound to fill the hull. An occasional beep accompanies it—every five seconds, to be exact—you know this because you have been counting. It’s a cycle, a predictable pattern that comes with knowing the ship well and something that your brain desperately clings to as a form of distraction.
You need something, anything, to keep your focus away from the delicious, pleasurable stretch of Din’s cock filling you and holding there, unmoving, twitching and pulsing against your walls. This is his well-earned reward for a challenge you lost, and Maker, he’s taking his sweet time revelling in the satisfaction of it.
At some point, you lose count of the five second cycles—after the first few minutes, it becomes almost impossible to keep up. Din knows exactly what he’s doing. He knows how difficult he’s making it for you to keep some sort of grasp on your composure.
Every now and again, you phase back into the beeps, you hold onto them tightly and proceed to count the seconds between them, only to be enticed right back each time Din moves a mere fraction of an amount and causes the softest mewl to pass between your parted lips at the satisfying–albeit temporary–relief.
With Din out on a hunt, there’s little in the way to keep you busy on the ship. Cleaning, reading on your datapad and showering, it’s all part of your routine to pass the time. You’re expecting him to be gone for a few hours, at least. Maybe even a day, depending on the job. So it’s a pleasant surprise to see that Din is back when you step out of the fresher.
He stands in front of the closed doors, his somewhat dishevelled appearance making a few things apparent: he has only recently arrived back, and his hunt–while being a challenging one–has been a success. He’s worked up, you see it in the way he holds himself: rigid and alert, adrenaline coursing through his veins. His head is still very much on the job while his body craves something more.
Something only you can offer him.
“Show me how you caught him,” you request, eyes daring the bounty hunter as his chest heaves in the fluorescent lights of the Crest’s hull. “Show me how you took control.”
The dominance oozes from him: it stifles the air, colours it with the primal, animalistic energy of capturing his prey.
“And if I catch you this time?” Din asks.
“If you catch me,” you begin, then take a moment to think. “You get whatever you want…daddy.”
A wicked, lustful smirk curves over your lips. You watch the way his fingers curl to fist one hand: the creaking of his glove breaks the tense silence that cloaks the space between you while he considers your offer.
Your challenge is one that Din accepts: it becomes a game of cat and mouse, and you do all you can to avoid being caught.
You dip and dodge his sudden lunge for you, narrowly avoiding his swooping arm that attempts to capture your body and scoop you against him. It earns you a grunt of frustration and his boots scrape against the floor of the Crest when he rounds on you to try again.
But you’re ready. You keep your knees slightly bent, preparing to sprint in the opposite direction to him while your eyes remain fixed on his visor.
The crackles of tension in the air is not too dissimilar to the way Din’s modulator rasps with his heavier breaths.
And then silence.
He’s prepared for his next strike.
It happens so suddenly: he fakes a step to the left, you dart in the opposite direction and run straight into his chest. No matter how much you try to wriggle free, it’s impossible. Din’s strong arms hold you firm against him, giving you no room for movement.
The bastard tricked you. The chase is over.
Within seconds, Din turns you towards the cot: he places your hands above your head in a silent order to keep them against the durasteel entrance.
The intensity and purpose of his movements causes a swell of desire and excitement to fizzle in your stomach at the thought of him claiming you. This is your favourite thing about Din returning to you in one of these moods: you know exactly what’s coming and you’re already squeezing your thighs together in anticipation.
Din’s gloved hands rip open the buttons at the chest of your shirt: the tiny round missiles fire in every direction to allow for the fabric to fall slack. It’s all the space he needs for one of those large hands to submerge itself beneath the material and grasp a handful of your supple breast.
That’s when you moan for him: his gloved fingers trap the sensitive peak of your nipple and pinch with just enough pressure to send an electrical jolt of pleasure through your whole body. You decide to take the opportunity to press the curve of your ass back and grind against him, enjoying the sound of his groan of pleasure.
“Behave,” Din warns you.
“What will happen if I don’t?”
The slow intake of air is audible through Din’s modulator as his helmet tilts in such a way that brings his mouth close to your ear. Then, in that low, gravelled tone, he states: “the choice is yours.”
You continue to press, “what choice?”
“I can bring you in warm…or I can bring you in cold.”
Maker. Have mercy.
“The most important skill while hunting…is patience,” Din’s unmodulated voice rasps from behind you.
The tones wash over you like liquid velvet and make your muscles flutter around where he’s sheathed deep inside the wet heat of your cunt.
“Sometimes it can take hours of waiting…do you have hours, Cyar'ika?”
“Yes,” the answer tumbles from your lips instantly, only to be muffled by the scratchy fabric of the blanket on the bed.
It feels as though you have already been here for hours: chest down and legs spread where you stand outside of the cot. You know that when you do finally straighten up, the imprint of the blanket’s fibres will be noticeable on your cheek, but it will be worth every hatched line.
There’s a knowing smirk evident in Din’s voice and his next words slide silkily from his mouth: “yes, what?”
Your pussy instinctively quivers again at his tone, informing him of your increasing need.
“Yes, daddy.”
You get a sound of approval, rumbled from deep within his chest. He likes it. He enjoys the way your voice carries that word; it’s music to his ears.
The softest moan escapes from between your lips when Din draws his hips back to admire the way his cock glistens with you. Not even the steady rattle of the ship or his heavier breaths are enough to disguise the obscene sound of his cock gliding through your wetness as his thrusts become harder.
“Feels so good,” you praise him. “Don’t stop–oh, right there!”
There’s no controlling the curses and lust-filled balling that spills from your mouth when Din’s cock finally rubs up against your favourite spot. It triggers an automatic response in your hips as they tilt into his thrusts, chasing the pleasurable sensation.
The rhythmic beeps of the ship are drowned out by the soundscape that builds at the entrance of the cot: Din’s lower grunts, your pitched moans of pleasure while the telling signs of your orgasm begin to take hold. It creeps in with a smouldering heat at the base of your spine and snakes between each vertebrate–it sears along each nerve, absorbs itself into your bloodstream and pulseates throughout your whole body.
It’s close.
It’s so fucking close.
Your eyes tighten in anticipation, your voice unable to produce any sort of sound while everything in your body pulls tight.
And then he stops.
Each time Din edges you to the very brink of orgasm, he hastily drags you back from it, leaving you to collapse in desperation against the mattress of the cot again and again. Your legs tremble, hopelessly trying to hold yourself steady.
“Din,” you’re almost on the verge of begging, unable to take the torturous pleasure any longer. You’ve lost count of the amount of times he has done this to you.
“Patience, Cyar'ika.”
No, you’re done being patient.
Your fingers hold the blanket with a vice-like grip as you pull yourself forward over Din’s cock and then slide yourself back again, momentarily taking control, interested to see his reaction.
An unexpected moan sounds from behind you, as though he hadn’t been anticipating this move. Somehow, you expect him to have the situation well read: he’s usually prepared for everything, so to catch him off-guard sparks an uncontrollable desire deep within you. It urges you on, thrilled by the fact that even now, after all this time, you can still surprise him.
“Mmm—fuck,” Din groans as one of his hands clutches at your waist. It isn’t to prevent your movements, he’s simply holding you, admiring the show as you fuck yourself on his cock.
“That’s it, Cyar'ika. Show me what you need,” Din’s encouragement spurs you on more: the pliable flesh of your ass slaps against his cold armor each time you thrust back onto him. “You’re doing so well.”
Maker, his praise sends you wild.
“I love your cock,” you pant. “Love how big it feels…”
You know exactly what you’re doing, you’re pushing him, trying every trick you know in the ‘Din handbook’ in an attempt to get him to snap and fuck you as if his life depends on it.
Din knows this, too.
His next words put an end to your building pleasure: “That’s enough.”
No. It isn’t enough. It’s not even close to being enough.
Your frustrated whine becomes muffled by the blankets when you press your face against them again and squeeze your eyes closed. You don’t know how much more of this you can take. Din knows your limits, he’ll never push you further than what you’re comfortable with so you know that he’ll give in soon enough. But this is a fine line you’re toeing between pleasure and frustration, with your need for release descending into urgent desperation.
Din’s hands move to your lower back and stroke over your warm skin. They follow the curve of your spine and then up a little higher before his blunt nails drag downward. The sensation makes you shiver beneath him, aching for his fingers to reach around and pay some attention to your abandoned clit.
“Please…” You beg.
All you’re rewarded with is a slow roll of his hips: each thick inch of his length slides easily through your dripping cunt before he sinks deep again and holds there.
You open your mouth to protest, set on calling him a few choice words for how far he’s pushing you tonight but all that comes out is a quiet “oh,” when the pad of his thumb teases at the tight ring of muscle of your ass.
He applies no pressure, he simply grazes over it, as though he’s awaiting your reaction to the silent request. There isn’t a single part of your body that Din hasn’t explored during your relationship, but this still holds a feeling of vulnerability, a sensation of unfamiliar territory compared to all other areas he enjoys.
You turn your head to glance back over your shoulder and notice that he’s already watching you: head tilted and a small smirk on his lips. Din’s body towers in the entrance of the cot, blocking out most of the light that pours in from the hull of the ship. From this angle, with him looming above you, he looks deliciously intimidating.
“Can I?” He questions quietly, although you’re sure he already knows the answer.
The calloused pad of his thumb continues to tease, causing heavier, uneven breaths to escape you: your lungs are desperate to take in air while your body tries to force it back out with the excitement and pleasure that builds.
There’s no keeping the grin from your lips when you nod, giving him your consent. You trust him completely: he would never do anything without your approval, even now, after the years you have spent together. Nothing is ever taken for granted–Din is respectful, before all else. Which is somewhat of a contrasting thought as he slaps one of his palms down against the cheek of your ass and grins to himself when you gasp.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t quite catch your answer.”
Fuck. Fuck. Din’s voice oozes a dominance reserved only for you, a tone that he is able to use with great effect when you both feel safe and able to explore together.
“Y–yes,” you stutter, unable to hold your composure as the excitement builds rapidly in your stomach.
“Yes, what?”
“Yes, daddy.”
Din’s eyes hold yours for a brief moment while that smirk lingers on his lips. He knows he’s going to wreck you, he’s going to turn you into a babbling, trembling mess when the force of your orgasm finally hits and you’re allowing him to do it.
You need him to do it.
His hands smooth over the cheeks of your ass while he watches you, then finally, he looks away so that he can admire the view while he spreads you open.
“Fucking beautiful,” he murmurs his approval.
Din leans over just enough to spit into the crevice of your ass. The sudden warmth has you gasping again and clenching around his cock, which in turn, earns you a deep moan of approval. He wastes little time before he moves to rub the pad of his thumb over your opening again, only now, a slick wetness accompanies it.
The sensation is divine.
“Do you like feeling me here, Cyar'ika?” There it is again, that silky smooth voice: it’s low in pitch, but no less commanding for an answer.
The only thing that you’re able to string together is something close to a whine as Din’s thumb applies just enough pressure to breach the tight hole. The very tip of his thumb sits there, holding still as you writhe beneath him in an attempt to get him to push it in further.
“So eager,” he breathes. “Do you like feeling so full?”
You nod into the blankets as you scrunch them up and bury your face into the fabric with a moan.
“Yes,” you manage, voice muffled. “I fucking love it.”
He rolls his hips again, slower this time, controlled. It’s almost admirable, the way he manages to keep it together for so long: it’s one of the many things you love about him, his need to satisfy you, as well as himself. With another press of his hips, Din’s thumb eases further into you while his cock throbs against your walls with his growing need.
Maker, you feel so full.
You’re expecting Din to rest there, to take his time and enjoy the feel of your wet heat warming up his cock while his thumb is nestled deep inside of you. But he doesn’t, and there’s no denying it catches you by surprise.
His hips begin to thrust again: deep and hard, well-aimed and precise.
“Shit,” he curses with a moan. “You’re taking my cock so well tonight.”
You moan and whine against the blanket, lost to the pleasure, unable to form any sort of coherent words as Din fucks you over the cot. Every word he speaks seems to flood you, each moan of his pleasure and acknowledgement of how good you feel, drives you wild.
The fingers of Din’s other hand finally reach around to reward you with some attention to your clit. Finally, fucking finally. It induces a jolt of pleasure with such an intensity that it threatens to tip you straight over the edge.
You’re close. Closer than last time, and Din doesn’t stop. He doesn’t slow down.
“Fuck me, Din,” you cry out your request, as if he isn’t already doing so. “Fuck me. Make me cum. Please, please…”
The sound Din makes is something close to a snarl as he fucks you harder, causing wave after staggering wave of pleasure to crash over you.
Oh, fuck. You feel it coming.
Your orgasm rises from somewhere deep inside of you and builds with a force you’ve never experienced before. Din’s touch is everywhere: his fingers, his thumb, his cock. You don’t know which way to press your hips, you don’t know how to arch for the best result: it’s overwhelming, overstimulating.
There’s sounds coming out of your mouth that you have no control over: curses and praises, incoherent begs and cries for what you need.
And then it hits you.
You’re powerless to it and the way it rips through the whole of your body. Maker, it has you in a fucking chokehold as your body simultaneously tenses and trembles. No words form, only sounds of pure ecstasy are able to explode from your throat; ragged and desperate.
“Oh fuck. That’s it, Cyar'ika. So good… So good,” Din’s words are broken by breathy moans as he fucks you through your orgasm.
He’s close. You feel it in the way his hips buck, no longer holding their steady, controlled rhythm. Din’s thumb eases out of you, allowing himself to grip onto your waist with one of his larger hands while the other thuds down onto the cot beside you.
You’re thankful for the way his broad body crowds over you, pressing you tighter to the cot and keeping you in place as he cums with a broken cry of your name. You don’t trust your legs to hold you up any longer, especially not when you feel the warmth of Din’s load filling you deeply, his hips continuing to jut against you until he has given you everything.
You’re exhausted, spent… wrecked.
It takes a little time to muster up the energy to move, but eventually, you both make it into the bunk after Din’s remaining armor and clothes are removed.
“Mmh,” he groans and presses the warmth of his face into the crook of your neck. “You’re incredible.”
A soft, lazy smile curls onto your lips as you turn your head a little to see him settled against your chest. You could stay like this forever, tangled up with him while your fingers comb slowly through his damp hair.
“When is the next job?” You ask after a moment, trying to keep your voice from giving anything away.
“Not for a few days…Why?”
“Oh, I was just wondering,” you smile to yourself and close your eyes. “Next time, I won’t let you catch me.”

question for ya !!! do you have any recommendations on switching cats to healthier more nutritional food? i'm currently feeding mine dry food because it's the easiest to afford but i want to do better for them !! do you have any recommendations on what some good stuff to start feeding them would be? and how to make the switch easier for them?
Yes! I do! Sorry for the delay in replying to this.
So first off, cats cannot hydrate adequately from drinking water. They are built to gain hydration from intracellular moisture, meaning that the food they eat needs to have fully hydrated cells. Kibble is not only dry, but the heat used in processing severely damages its nutritional value. Wet food is better, but the moisture isn't necessarily intracellular. Often it is still processed with heat and water is added back in later.
I am a huge advocate for feeding raw food and it's much easier and more affordable than you would expect. Switching even 20% of your pets food over to something fresher (ideally raw) has a massive positive impact on their health, so it's not all or nothing.
There are two main raw "diets": BARF and Prey. Both of these are going to contain organ, muscle, and bone. BARF stands for biologically appropriate raw food. This will contain a mixture of ingredients that have great nutritional value, but would not be something the animal would find naturally in the wild. Some of my favorite ingredients mixed in are green lipped muscles, raw goat milk, blueberries, and kale! The Prey diet is much higher in protein and does not contain as many of these "forageables," digestive aids, and supplements. Prey diets are better for cat only households or for dogs that work physical jobs.
My favorite brand of raw food is Steve's Real Food, but I'm also partial to Stella & Chewy. Both of these companies offer food that can be fed both to your dog and your cat, so you can feed the household out of one bag. That being said, Steve's has begun focusing a lot more on cat food and now offers the Quest line of cat diets. It's priced comparably to wet food and is very easy to feed. They also offer guides on transitioning your cat from one food to another since they are imprint eaters and it's not always easy.
Again, it's not all or nothing! Replace 20% of their diet with a balanced raw food and you'll see a difference. The poop is better and less, the pet stays hydrated and doesn't chug water, coat quality often improve and shedding is reduced. A full raw switch also removes the kibble brain fog and may even stop your cat from barfing all the time. Raw fed pets are more alert and less stressed, in my experience.
Obviously every pet is different, but the science of how they evolved to eat is sound. It just takes some shopping around to find the right fit.

9 Effective Ways to Find New Job Opportunities (Plus Helpful Tips)
Searching for a new job can often feel overwhelming. With so many potential options and resources, it's hard to know where to start. However, taking a strategic approach and utilizing the right tools can make the process more manageable.
In this article, we'll explore nine effective ways to uncover exciting new career opportunities, along with helpful tips to set you up for success.
1. Leverage Your Network
One of the most powerful yet underutilized ways to find job leads is through your existing network. Contact friends, former colleagues, classmates, mentors, and professional connections to let them know you're looking.
Many open roles are filled through employee referrals before they are formally advertised. Your contacts may know of opportunities or be able to facilitate introductions. Attend industry events, join professional associations, and expand your network to gain more job search allies.
Helpful tips:
Formally ask your network to keep you in mind if they come across any job openings that may be a fit. Follow up periodically with reminders.
Share your resume and LinkedIn profile so contacts understand your background and can advocate for you.
Offer to return the favor if they conduct job searches now or in the future. Building reciprocal relationships is key.
2. Work With Recruiters and Staffing Agencies
Recruiters and staffing agencies can provide access to unadvertised job openings that employers want to be filled quickly by qualified candidates. Develop relationships with specialized recruiters in your industry, as they often have leads before positions are publicly posted.
Sign up with staffing agencies to gain temporary assignments that provide work experience and exposure to potential new employers.
Helpful tips:
When contacting recruiters, be clear on your skills, interests, and job search criteria so they can accurately match you with opportunities.
Check reviews and complaints before working with recruiters or agencies to ensure they are reputable.
Stay in regular touch with recruiters you build relationships with to get timely updates on potential jobs.
3. Search Online Job Boards
Online job boards like GradSiren are go-to starting points for many job seekers. They offer career opportunities like fresher jobs as per your relevant qualifications. You can search for jobs with relevant keywords like job titles and skills so you get alerts when new openings are posted that match your criteria.
Use advanced search options to filter by location, company, job type, and other factors to narrow down opportunities efficiently.
Helpful tips:
Tailor your resume to fit each job before applying through a board. Get through ATS systems with customized resumes.
Check niche and industry-specific job sites beyond the major boards for openings targeted to your field.
Follow up a week after applying if you have not heard back. Hiring processes take time, so gentle persistence pays off.
4. Visit Company Career Sites Directly
You may conduct proactive outreach by visiting the careers page on company sites of businesses you are interested in. This provides access to openings that may not be advertised elsewhere and shows initiative if you later interview for roles.
Follow companies on social media to learn about openings as soon as they are posted. You can also look at fast-growing startups in your city and check their sites for new opportunities.
Helpful tips:
Set up job alerts on the sites of your target companies so you never miss a new opening that's posted.
Research the company thoroughly before applying so you understand its mission and values to frame your application effectively.
If the company does not have current openings listed that fit, still inquire about sending your resume for consideration.
5. Attend Industry Conferences and Events
Industry conferences, trade shows, networking meetups, and seminars provide great opportunities to learn about job openings and make valuable connections. Attending these in-person events allows you to connect directly with hiring managers from potential employers.
Come prepared with resumes and your elevator pitch. Follow up afterwards with any promising contacts made.
Helpful tips:
Review the attendee list beforehand and note the companies you want to be sure to connect with during the event.
Strike up conversations at mixers and intermingle rather than just sticking with colleagues you already know.
Collect business cards and take notes about conversations to enable effective follow-up communication after the event.
6. Check Local Classified Ads
Believe it or not, the local newspaper classifieds section and community job boards can still be fruitful sources of leads on open positions. Neighborhood stores, medical offices, schools, nonprofits, and other community organizations still advertise openings this way.
For specialized roles, look for niche industry publications with classifieds focused on your field. The key is uncovering the right channel.
Helpful tips:
Follow up with a visit or phone call to introduce yourself and inquire further about any openings that interest you.
Ask if a printed ad is still current, as often positions are posted once but remain open for some time afterward.
Mention any personal connections you have to the business, neighborhood, or community when inquiring.
7. Take Advantage of Government Resources
Your local job club programs and state employment development department all offer invaluable services and job search resources. Government programs have access to nationwide, statewide, and local job listings beyond what you can find independently.
They also provide training, career counseling, networking groups, resume help, and more.
Helpful tips:
Sign up for customized job alerts based on your experience and desired positions, so potential matches are sent to your inbox.
Attend free workshops like resume writing, LinkedIn profile optimization, and interview skills to gain an edge.
Set appointments to review your resume and get strategic advice from job counselors. Their insights can provide a new perspective.
8. Volunteer Strategically
Volunteering not only allows you to give back but also can expand your professional network and lead to new career opportunities. Choose volunteer roles that let you utilize relevant skills and gain exposure to organizations related to your field.
For example, an accountant could volunteer to do financial tasks for a local nonprofit. The experience and connections gained can uncover potential job openings.
Helpful tips:
Align volunteer work as closely to your professional background as possible and exceed expectations to stand out.
Treat volunteering like a professional project. Document accomplishments for your resume.
Get introduced to decision-makers and build relationships with those who may eventually have hiring power or be able to recommend you.
9. Further Your Education
Enrolling in a certification program, professional development courses, or degree program exposes you to new job networks even as you build your skills. Your classmates, professors, school career centers, guest lecturers, and program alumni can all provide potential connections.
Many formal education programs also facilitate internships and placements.
Helpful tips:
Select continuing education programs strategically based on industries and roles you want to work in rather than just pursuing random interests.
Participate in campus career fairs, company information sessions, and networking events.
Proactively introduce yourself to classmates and engage with them. They will become future colleagues.
Set Yourself Up for Job Search Success
While it takes effort to uncover new career opportunities, utilizing the right techniques and tools can make your search productive and targeted. Explore online listings on niche job boards as well as directly on company sites. Take advantage of free government resources and consider strategic moves like volunteering and education to expand your options.
With a focused, proactive approach, you can find exciting new jobs and career possibilities. Determination, preparation, and persistence are key. So tap into the abundance of possibilities today to get started on your next great job opportunity.

Redfern's Message
NEWLEAF - MOON 0 - YEAR 0
Figdream stretched as he crossed the threshold of the medicine cat den. The morning newleaf sun brought a warm glow to his golden pelt, and he was thankful for the relief it brought to his sleepy limbs. It was the dawn of a new day under new leadership; Rootstar’s naming ceremony had just been last night and she was already guiding cats to different patrol groups this morning. There was a dash of pride swelling in Figdream’s chest at the sight of the HavenClan leader, and knowing that she was up and doing her job made Figdream determined to get started on his.
His stores were running low on tansy and garlic, which meant he had to go out and fetch some more. Newleaf is young, so there shouldn’t be a problem finding any, he thought. He could always check for herbs around the abandoned Twoleg garden, some cobwebs from the ditches by the fallen log that marked the entrance to the training hollow, moss from the trees around the river–
A squeal sounded from the nursery den, startling Figdream from his thoughts. He padded curiously to the nursery, ears alert for sounds of distress. His fur began to lie flat when he realized it had only been Frogkit playing with Cragquiver and Sunpatch.
Cragquiver must have come to relieve Sunpatch of kit-sitting duties. Last night had been Sunpatch’s turn to watch over Frogkit, which meant Cragquiver would look after her this morning giving Sunpatch the chance to breathe fresher air. Currently, Sunpatch sat outside of the nursery entrance chuckling at the display of Frogkit pouncing on Cragquiver. Ah, Figdream thought, it must be another game of capture-the-warrior.
“Good morning,” Figdream mewed as he approached.
“Good morning Figdream,” purred Sunpatch, licking her whiskers and dipping down low for a stretch.
“Morning there,” Cragquiver grunted, scrunching his face as Frogkit batted at his nose. “Easy there. No claws, remember?”
Figdream chuckled and turned to Sunpatch, “I need to go out and search for herbs. Would you like to come with me?”
“Oh, would I!” Sunpatch shook herself and padded closer to Figdream. She glanced over her shoulder at the other two with a purr, “I’ve been cooped up in the nursery all day yesterday.”
“Then a walk sounds like something you’d need,” Figdream laughed and waved goodbye to the other two wrestling cats with his tail. He began padding out of camp with Sunpatch following close behind.
It was good to be out of the grotto where HavenClan called home. Sunlight filtered through the fresh green leaves and pink blossoms on the trees, leaving quaking dapple patterns on the ground. Birds were singing new yet familiar tunes, and it was still early enough for the crickets to join their song. The cool dew on the grass felt refreshing underpaw and cooling on the cats’ pelts. Taking in a deep breath, Figdream was certain that a walk was what he needed, too. The stress of last night finally seemed to be melting away. “It’s a beautiful morning,” Sunpatch commented, and he agreed.
The morning passed as well as Figdream could have hoped. As expected, there were plenty of herbs to gather at the Twoleg garden. Figdream instructed Sunpatch how to harvest what they needed. It was quiet and busy work, and soon enough both cats had an impressive pile of leaves and roots to take back to camp.
“Have you ever thought about taking on an apprentice?” Sunpatch asked when they had decided to take a break and clean themselves of dust and dirt.
“A bit,” Figdream admitted while licking a paw and swiping it over an ear. “There’s not enough young paws at camp for me to consider it very much.”
“What about Frogkit? She’s very smart.”
“Maybe, but that’s not a choice to make right now. There’s time to consider.”
“I’d love to mentor Frogkit,” Sunpatch purred. “I’d get to continue to watch her grow into a strong warrior.”
Figdream’s tail flicked dismissively, “You and Cragquiver do a good job raising her, but I think it’d be wiser for Frogkit to have someone else as a mentor. She needs to learn new skills and how to be on her own without you two carrying her paws.”
Sunpatch fell quiet for a heartbeat then, then glanced at the golden tabby tom warily. Figdream could see the sparks of insecurity settle in and sighed. Between her and Cragquiver breathed insecurity as much as they do air. “Do you think,” Sunpatch began, “we are being too overbearing on her?”
“No,” Figdream said simply, “But you can’t expect to be next to her all the time. She needs her own experiences and her own thoughts to think. She’s just a kitten now, but she won’t always be.”
Sunpatch narrowed her eyes and nodded as she tried to take Figdream’s words to heart. Figdream couldn’t help but feel some admiration for her. Sunpatch never had kits of her own, so he could see the challenge of raising someone else’s. He had no doubt that Sunpatch and Cragquiver would raise the orphaned kitten excellently and with as much love and care as if Frogkit were their own flesh and blood.
“Words to take to heart, no matter the cat,” came the purr of a new voice. Figdream glanced about, eyes wide until he found the source perched high in the branch of a tree. As soon as he caught her eye, he frowned deeply.
“What is it?” Sunpatch asked, leaning in. “Are you alright?”
“StarClan is here.”
Sunpatch looked startled, then glanced around as if she would be able to find any strange, starry cats. She began to lick her fur in an attempt at a last-minute groom. “Where? Who? Aren’t they supposed to visit us through their den at the Cave of Hidden Stars? Why are they here?”
Figdream’s ear flicked, but didn’t answer. Instead, he watched as the pretty white-and-brown speckled she-cat hopped down from the tree, her starry pelt twinkling. She cast no shadow, as if the sun couldn’t touch her.
Redfern.
Redfern was a very old StarClan member, one of the first from HavenClan. Figdream had never felt comfortable around her; she was a troublemaker, and too confident in her place as a guide to other cats. Her smug demeanor had never settled right with him, and Figdream didn’t like how she treated other cats around her– as if she saw herself as the leader of StarClan.
He gestured with his tail for Sunpatch to crouch down with him and tuck their paws beneath them so that they could more easily communicate with the StarClan guide.
“That’s not necessary,” Redfern said, “I’m only here to speak with you, Figdream. Sunpatch doesn’t need to know.”
“Then what do you want,” Figdream snapped, “and make it quick.”
“Moody today, aren’t we?” Redfern sat between the two cats and hooked her tail over her paws.
“It was a nice day, until you showed up.” Amusement danced in the ghostly cat’s eyes, though horror rooted in Sunpatch’s at Figdream’s disrespect. He ignored it; he didn’t have to like Redfern, and he was not afraid to make it known. “What do you need to talk to me about?”
Redfern licked her paw and drew it over herself casually, “I have a prophecy to share.” Her pale blue eyes landed on Figdream. His hackles raised under her smug gaze. Sunpatch touched his side with the tip of her tail, and he was reminded that there are things bigger here than his distaste for the rude she-cat. He nodded for Redfern to continue, ignoring the satisfied smirk on her muzzle.
“Destruction falls when one becomes five.”
“Hm,” Figdream grunted, “How vague, as always.”
“What did they say?” Sunpatch’s eyes were wide.
“Things I’ll have to discuss with Rootstar about.” Figdream pushed himself to his paws.
“Leaving so soon?” Redfern teased.
“Well, do you have anything else to tell me?”
Redfern tilted her head with a smile, “No. Just be sure to remember my words.” She stood up and began to walk away, calling over her shoulder, “Keep HavenClan alive, won’t you? We’re safe as we are, and we’ll stay safe if you listen to me.” The she-cats pelt began to fade away, and in a blink of an eye she was gone.
Sunpatch reluctantly got to her paws when Figdream busied himself with a bundle of herbs. “Is everything okay?”
“Yeah,” Figdream mumbled around a mouthful of leaves. “Let’s just get back to camp.”
There was something about Redfern’s words that rubbed him the wrong way. Her message was worrying, sure, but Figdream couldn’t help but feel that there was something more to it. Something that stood behind Redfern’s words. He closed his eyes and sighed. Redfern served as a reminder of why StarClan was Figdream’s least favorite part of being a medicine cat.

Freshers Jobs: Guide to Your First Career Opportunity after College Starting a career straight out of college is both exhilarating and intimidating. The job market is replete with opportunities, but freshers might find it challenging to take the right path. This article is about what freshers jobs are, how to find them, and some tips to make the transition from college to professional life smooth and hassle-free.
What Are Freshers Jobs? Freshers jobs are those entry-level positions that are created for people who have just completed their academic education, usually with no or minimal work experience. They are perfect for fresh graduates or first-time workers entering the workforce. They usually require basic skills, a willingness to learn, and enthusiasm.
Fresher jobs are in all and every industry, ranging from technologies and marketing to finance, HRs, sales, and customer care industries. They form a nice footing for young minds to pursue their careers while gaining exposure to the corporate world through hard-core, practical work experience.
Importance of Freshers Jobs For most fresher's, getting that first job will be a matter of some pride. They have benefits aplenty:
Skill Development: Freshers jobs are an opportunity to achieve practical, hands-on experience and some professional skills that cannot be experienced in the classroom. Career exploration: Most freshers jobs give people exposure to many industries. In this way, they identify their career path and long-term goals. Building Professional Network: Freshers jobs build a professional network for the newly recruited employee, making progress easier in the future. Confidence Building: A first job instills confidence, as freshers learn how to work in a professional setting, solve problems, and interact with colleagues. Where to Look for Freshers Jobs? Job Sites: There are various websites dedicated to job searching where freshers can find job openings by companies. Some of the leading job portals that provide information regarding entry-level positions in several industries include Naukri.com, Indeed, LinkedIn, and Glassdoor. It would be better to activate alerts for freshers' jobs and visit these sites frequently.
Company Career Pages: Many large companies have fresher-specific recruitment programs. Visit career sections of the websites of renowned companies to discover freshers' job openings. Big MNCs in the domains of tech, finance, and consultancy hire fresh talent at their graduate programs.
Internships: An internship can provide hands-on experience in the real work environment and get one's foot in the door. While most companies offer internships leading to full-time jobs, many freshers start with internships as a precursor before being hired full-time.
Campus Placements: For those who are currently in college or are fresh graduates, campus placement drives are a wonderful opportunity. Many colleges and universities have tie-ups with corporate houses that come to their campuses to recruit freshers. Such placements usually result in immediate jobs for the students who do well in the recruitment process.
Recruitment Agencies: Recruitment agencies can help freshers find jobs by matching their qualifications and skills with the right job opportunities. These agencies have industry-specific expertise and connections with companies, helping candidates find suitable entry-level roles.
How to Apply for Freshers Jobs? Tailor Your Resume: Freshers should focus on academic achievements, internships, volunteer work, and any other extracurricular activities that show relevant skills. Experience is usually very limited, so focus on transferable skills like communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership.
Prepare for Interviews: Interview preparation is key. Freshers must be ready to answer questions about their education, interests, and why they are interested in the job. Practice common interview questions, research the company, and be prepared to discuss how your skills can contribute to the role.
Networking: Connections can make a huge difference in finding a job. Attend career fairs, professional meetups, and seminars. Use LinkedIn to connect with industry professionals, alumni, and hiring managers. Networking often leads to referrals and job opportunities.
Apply to Multiple Jobs: Don't limit yourself to just one or two applications. Apply to multiple freshers jobs that match your interests and qualifications. The more applications you submit, the higher your chances of landing interviews and job offers.
Key Tips for Success in Freshers Jobs Be Ready to Learn: You might not know everything right away, and that is okay. Employers value candidates who are willing to learn and adapt. So, be open to feedback and continuously strive to improve your skills.
Have a good attitude: Starting your career life with a positive attitude and enthusiasm pays. Show your employers that you're eager to contribute, grapple with challenges, and grow in your role. A good attitude will make you stand out in the workplace.
Face Challenges: Do not shy away from challenging tasks. New challenges will help grow you both professionally and personally. The employers appreciate an employee who can handle complexity and is a proactive problem solver.
Be punctual and professional. It means coming on time, dressing correctly, and having a proper outlook in the office. It helps build up a strong reputation in the company.
Set Goals: The setting of short- and long-term career goals will help in staying focused and motivated. As for the goal, strive for new heights in a job, including taking on more responsibilities, getting promotions, or more skills.
Final Thoughts Landing your first job as a fresher is an exciting journey, and while it may come with challenges, it also opens up numerous opportunities. By preparing well, applying to a variety of jobs, and staying motivated, freshers can set themselves on a path to career success. With determination, adaptability, and continuous learning, you’ll make the most of your entry-level role and build a solid foundation for a bright future ahead.
