I’m Sarah; my primary account is @joachimnapoleon, which I’ve had for about the past eight years for my Napoleonic interests. I am an elder-Millenial history buff who loves writing, reading, and video games.

I tend to hyperfixate, and once I’m obsessed with something I can be pretty hardcore about it for years at a time. I had a fascination with feudal Japan and samurai when I was a kid, and falling in love with the FX Shogun series a couple months ago has reignited it and then some. So, that’s my primary focus right now—learning as much as I can about the Sengoku period, and writing Shogun fanfics for an extremely niche audience (you can find them here), something I’ve apparently carried over from my previous hyperfixation, the Napoleonic era. For whatever bizarre reason I tend to get attached to historical figures/fictional characters hardly anybody else seems to appreciate. But I’m nothing if not persistent. I’m currently in the process of single-handedly taking over the Takehiro Hira and Ishido Kazunari tags and turning them into my personal dominion, as I once did with the now much better populated Joachim Murat tag.
