uhhh IDK actually lol I don't partake as much in fandom culture as I used to in the past. so, unless it's a hyperfixation, i usually won't talk/post much about it. -but things that I have fell in love as of recently(besides epic the musical): Dungeon meshi, the elusive samurai, baldurs gate 3, who made me a princess, I’m Stanning the Prince and DBD - fandoms that ive been part to but have not interacted with it for some time: Homestuck(i mean,... 90% of my old cosplays were just homestuck), PJO (I may go back to it cuz i want to reread the books and maybe watch the new tv show), Overwatch (still play sometimes, just not as much into it as used to), harry potter (the whole transphobic thing from jk rowling left a bitter taste on my mouth), doctor who and glee - things that will be forever in my heart and love talking about: Lord Byron, mythology in general, fun historical facts, musicals, THE SECRET HISTORY (my favorite book in all time, I have 3 versions of the book)

No, my name is Bianca :) 28 here. I am from Brazil, my native language is Brazilian Portuguese.

How does “blvnk” is pronounced? and why is it "blvnk"?

It’s a visual name; it comes from blank - as in blank canvas, since we artist usually have fear of a blank canvas and I proudly overcame this! - but you are free to say out loud however you want to.

What softwares do you use to paint?

Photoshop.

How do you paint in digital media?

With a device such as Wacom tablet.

Can I use your art as wallpaper for my desktop - cell phone, pc?

I don’t take requests and I don't take commissions nor I am paid to share my art (not doing it for money). But I always read headcanons and I feel genuinely interested in them, so feel free to share them whenever you want to. Be aware that my focus will always be hinny and jily, from my fanart series #potterbyblvnk. I don't venture much about other characters, even though I have tried before and I know that I will try again - I just can’t tell when, inspiration is a tricky thing.

Do you only draw fanarts?

No, I breath art in other forms too, if you want to reach out about my original art handle, just come into my inbox and I'll share it whenever I feel like it (it's more like a personal place for my art, no fandom involved whatsoever, so that’s why I won’t shout about it).

How's your feelings torwards JK Rowling?

Short answer: I do not support her views and I do not follow/support her and the Harry Potter world financially. In fact, I do not stan idols/public figures in general, out of principles. Just like you won't see me talking about it actively, too. I chose to make my art space in fandom a general positive one for myself as a long-time HP fan. even though drawing constantly about it, I do not engange actively in discussions, controversies, and more, but you can read more here and here, if you are interested!

In general, I like to talk about lots of things and I have been really opened about how I am eager to learn and improve, it only depends on how you interact with me! I want to preface this by saying that I am autistic and I don't always recognize when something I write is too blunt or rude, so sorry in advance!

If you don't KNOWtm you can check the anti cc and anti cassandra clare tags of blogs like celiathorne, spaceshipkat, discountalien-pancake, karmacharmeleon18, basilico-e-mentapiperita.

The anti tag on tumblr is full of posts from a miraculous ladybug blog rn so I suggest you check those blogs first. Or you can sort the tag by most popular and find lots of posts! Or google cassandra clare problematic, cyberbully, laptopgate.

Basically: cyberbullying, racism, sexism, queerphobia, plagiarism in her ff days and published works (that got her banned from a fanfic site and recently in a lawsuit with a published author for SH, specifically TMI), money scams (laptopgate), trying to sell merchandise about her HP fanfic (which was stopped because it's illegal), TMI was the title of an incestuos fic she wrote (RonxGinny) and she supports ships like DamonxStefan because they're brothers and says that the fact that it's abusive makes it betterbetter, slutshaming (not only in her books: she criticized show!Izzy aka and ACTUAL person saying she looks like "one of Sebastian's girls" ie a slut), misogyny (not like other girls, girl on girl hate etc.), ableism, and more.

There are so many similarities between her books and other works like Nightrunner (protag is a archer named Alec with blue eyes who falls for an immortal warlock + plot points), The Mortal Engines and The Infernal Devisces (by P.Reeve, set in steampunk London, the villain Valentine is the father of the female protag), The Secret Circle (TMI is sooo similar, down to characters, names and some scenes/plot points like the ring found in the ashes of the manor) and so many others I lost count!

And of course the Dark Hunter series (the lawsuit). In the past hundreds of thousands of SH copies were printed with the DH logo on them because they were so similar and there was a misshap in the printing process. They had to be thrown out. Character names, arcs, plot points.

Anytime someone criticizes her, she calls them misogynists and gets her stans to harrass them by posting teary posts with names. Minors included (as they are the majority of the people that interact with her).

Anytime POC ask her about the racist issues in her books, she blocks them.

When people asked about how she used sexual assault for shock value (it happens and then the characters involved just forget about it), she wrote a long rant about how misogynistic readers just "want to see a girl suffer". Nevermind that the people asking were teen girls and survivors.

There are so many instances like these. She also started hating the show when the writers started changing her problematic writing, and she made no mystery of that on her social media (the fandom was divided in two: book fans and show fans, and she took every chance to make the situation worse, even giving book fans the Twitter of a writer so they could complain directly to him, and insulting the characters's appearance (aka the actors)... but when the show got more popular she "hope to be more involved!")

I agree with not giving these people money but having propaganda-savvy fans writing fanworks and such helps inoculate people who are less propagada-savvy against the writers' bigotry.

Headcanons about Black Hermione and Indian Harry didn't make JK Rowling less racist but they made me realize how unreasonably white the books are.

If the author has ruined the series for you then by all means drop it. Attack on Titan was ruined for me, I dropped it after they got to the basement and the "big secret" turned out to be a copy of mein kampf.

But I still like HP's story and I'll read/boost fanworks that counter JKR's bigoted rhetoric and themes. And considering how young HP's fans can be I think it's actually important to make sure there are voices in the fandom contradicting her.

And I can't look at the Harry Potter Alliance's work to counter what JKR is doing and think they should stop.

Every piece of artwork is problematic in some way, and if we divide things into "bad, do not interact" and "good, we stan forever" we're kinda giving a pass to the the flaws of things we like. Whatever you engage with, engage critically, and don't give financial support to people who use that money to hurt others

Attack on Titan’s story is literally culminating with the main character committing genocide against the entire world outside of his island, and AoT fans are all “but the nuance! The reasons behind it!”

Congrats, you have just been lead to believe genocide can be a reasonable means to an end given the right circumstances. And that’s the first step.
