Researchers use 2D bimetallic MOFs to create Se-containing electrocatalysts for overall water splitting
Transition metal selenides have been considered to be a good choice for electrocatalytic water splitting. In addition, Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been used to make catalysts with good electrocatalytic capabilities. Traditionally, the MOF-derived selenides are produced via the self-sacrificing MOF template methods. However, this strategy is high-energy consuming, and it is difficult to precisely control the structure and component homogeneity of the product during pyrolysis. A research group including Wang-ting Lu, Fan Yu, and Yun Zheng from Jianghan University and Fuzhou University used two-dimensional (2D) layered MOFs as self-sacrificial templates to create high-efficiency Selenium (Se)-containing electrocatalysts for overall water splitting. The study is published in the journal Frontiers in Energy.

Yunmeng & Wei Changze (Meng Haoran 孟浩然’s "A Visit to Chancellor Zhang at Lake Dongting 望洞庭湖赠张丞相")
Has anyone ever wondered why Yunmeng was associated with a ton of lakes? Turns out that there’s an actual historical and geographical basis of this. And as a small bonus, Wei Changze’s also part of this meta.
The Yunmeng Marsh (云梦泽 Yunmeng Ze or the 云梦大泽 Yunmeng Big Ze) refers to a series of ancient lakes that spread across the Jianghan Plains in the Hubei Province, China. In the early Qin Dynasty, these series of lakes stretched 450km across. But however, due to the continuous sedimentation of the Yangtze River and Han River, the delta of the Han River was extended and the Yunmeng Ze has since been reduced. During the Wei, Jin and North and South Dynasties, it was reduced by half, and in Tang and Song Dynasties, it gradually became a cluster of small lakes. In modern times, these series of ancient lakes are gone and are no longer connected to one another.
And yes, Marsh/泽 Ze is the same word in Changze’s name. If you break Cangze’s name down, it means 长泽 Long Marsh, and it’s very similar form to 长江 Long River aka Yangtze River.
There’s a really cool documentary on its history but unfortunately it’s not subbed 😂😂
This line also appears in the Tang Dynasty poet Meng Haoran 孟浩然’s ”A Visit to Chancellor (丞相 Cheng Xiang) Zhang at Lake Dongting) 望洞庭湖赠张丞相". Zhang Jiuling 张九龄, is the chancellor who served in the Tang Dynasty under the Emperor Xuangzong.
During the period of the Three Kingdoms, the chancellor would assist the emperor in governing the country. This post was eventually abolished in the early Ming Dynasty. The poem is a gift, and it expresses the poet’s wish to meet the chancellor and laments that he can’t cross the Lake Dongting and envys the fish.
Lake Dongting is located in Western Hunan. Hubei (translated: North of the Lake) and Hunan (translated: South of the Lake) are both named after this lake.
In August, the lake’s almost levelled with the shore. Water and sky seems to blur together.
Mist rises from Yunmeng Ze, the waves seem to shake Yueyang City.
T/N: Yueyang City’s 岳阳城‘s located on the east of Lake Dongting.
I wish to cross the river, but I struggle to find a boat. Thus, I staying at home shamefully in theses peaceful times.
Sitting and watching the anglers cast their baits, but unfortunately I can only be envious of the fish.
羡鱼 - This is the same phrase that Wei Wuxian’s name’s based off. It's in the last line of the poem that I've previously translated. It does mean to covert after, but when literally translated it does mean “envy of fish”. I’ve translated it literally in this case so preserve the theme of the sentence . (ie. the anglers and the fish)

Chang Ling. Do you really want me to be your master? WOH, episode 11, part 3. ZZS drinks wine and after a while he gets up and asks ZCL if he wants him to be his master. ZCL is surprised and agrees without hesitation. ZZS claims that he and ZZS hardly know each other, and yet the boy trusts him completely. He adds that in such a situation, the only thing he can do is to sincerely repay ZCL. WKX looks up, sits and listens carefully. ZZS says that first he should tell who he really is, and then the boy will make a decision. ZZS claims that his real name is Zhou Zi Shu and that he is the current and last leader of Siji Manor. Saying this, ZZS moves forward and looks neither at the boy nor at WKX. ZZS claims that previous leader Qin Huai Zhang was its beloved master. He says that their clan was widely known for the flowers that bloomed in all seasons and for the knowledge of everything in the world, but there are few left in Jianghu who remember Siji Manor. He regrets that it was all because of his one mistake and helplessness. ZZS continues the story, he says that when he was sixteen, his master died suddenly. He, as a boy, was not strong enough to save Siji Manor's reputation from collapse, so he and the sect's disciples followed the military governor of Jin, whom the Zhou family had served for generations, and the ZZS founded Tian Chuang. He did not expect then that all his companions from Siji Manor would become slaves of power. One by one, eighty-one of Siji Manor's disciples died, and in the end, he was the only one left. WKX states that "Commander Zhou" means the leader of Tian Chuang. ZZS confirms this and adds that thanks to this, Scorpion knows him and where their base is. ZCL asks ZZS what Scorpion is. ZZS explains that it is an organization of assassins, they come from Jiangnan, and its members are very sophisticated and deeply conspiratorial. He adds that the Four Assassins who kidnapped ZCL are one of Scorpion's strengths, he also has one much greater strength, in the past, Tian Chuang wanted to expand his activities to Jiangnan and had several conflicts with Scorpion. ZZS calmly explains that Scorpion's strength in Jianghan is no less than Tian Chuang's in the northwest. ZCL asks if Tian Chuang, who created ZZS, is an assassination organization, ZZS replies that it is no longer his Tian Chuang and is now an ordinary person. ZZS spent half his life in solitude, doing many things against his will and killing people he did not want to kill. He wanted to wander the world until his death. At that moment, ZZS realized that it seemed like the heavens had another plan for his fate. ZZS asks if, now that ZCL knows who ZZS is, he still wants him to be his master. ZCL agrees, saying that whether ZZS accepts him or not, he has long considered ZZS as a champion. WKX stands up and says that since ZCL knows that he has become an apprentice, he will order him to complete the ritual. ZCL bows to ZZS. ZZS says ZCL belongs to the clan and is the first sixth generation disciple and with such a great disciple, ZZS will rebuild the legacy of Siji Manor, ZZS says he is happy, ZCL also says he is happy. WKX is watching them both closely. Finally, a scene where WKX confirms his suspicions. ZZS reveals its true identity. WKX knows he didn't make a mistake and is happy, although he doesn't show it outwardly. ZZS travels back in time once again and tells the boy about Siji Manor. These memories are the most painful part of ZZS's life. However, he is happy that despite everything he has a chance to rebuild his clan. He doesn't want to remember that he doesn't have much life left, he wants to capture this fleeting moment and enjoy it. ZZH is painfully honest and dignified here. His beauty, behavior and acting show us the wonderful side of ZZS. Viewers feel and experience what ZZS experiences. ZZH played this character perfectly, he gave this character everything that was best in him, his beauty, stubborn character and the pain that accompanied him while playing the scenes.+

River in the winter in the city of Wuhan
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6 o'clock in the evening, I would sit atop the tall embankment of the Jianghan Port, gazing intently at the ferry terminal fifty meters below. The winter wind along the slender river raced furiously, causing waves to crash against the riverbank and flags on passing ships to flutter wildly. However, the river wind couldn't penetrate the formidable water-blocking wall that stood resolutely on the embankment. Instead, it could only howl in frustration, relentlessly searching for a crack to break through.
I sat alone on the vast gray slope, surrounded by the dark iron chains that emerged from the river, snaking and crawling their way up the embankment like giant serpents. Passengers hurriedly passed by me, huddled against the cold wind, their eyes fixed on the ferry entrance, fearing that the ferry's whistle might sound prematurely, leaving them stranded on this desolate incline.
The river wind seemed to have taken notice of me, perhaps viewing me as an easy target. They launched an assault from the river, accompanied by the faint cries of countless aquatic creatures. In an instant, the cold current engulfed me. The vanguard of the frigid torrent had already breached the outlet on the water-blocking wall behind me, running amok on the bustling streets. The reinforcements of the cold current converged from various directions on the river's surface, continuously surging over me.

Centrum natychmiast zablokowało zagrożony sprzęt i zgłosiło atak organom bezpieczeństwa publicznego w celu zbadania sprawy i postępowania z organizacją hakerską i przestępcami zgodnie z prawem , powiedział oświadczenie.

Despois do ataque a NWPU, o CVERC e a empresa 360 formaron conxuntamente un equipo técnico para realizar unha análise técnica completa do caso.

Exclusive: Wuhan Earthquake Monitoring Center suffers cyberattack from the US; investigation underway
The Wuhan Earthquake Monitoring Center has recently suffered a cyberattack launched by an overseas organization, the city's emergency management bureau which the center is affiliated to said in a statement on Wednesday. This is another case of its kind following the June 2022 cyberattack from overseas against a Chinese university. The expert panel on the case found that the cyberattack was initiated by hacker groups and lawbreakers with governmental backgrounds from outside the country. Preliminary evidence suggests that the government-backed cyberattack on the center came from the US, the Global Times has learned. The Wuhan Municipal Emergency Management Bureau said in a statement on Wednesday that some of the network equipment of the front-end station collection points of the Wuhan Earthquake Monitoring Center, were subjected to a cyberattack by an overseas organization, as monitored by the National Computer Virus Emergency Response Center (CVERC) and Chinese internet security company 360. The center has immediately sealed off the equipment that was affected and reported the attack to the public security authorities, in order to investigate the case and handle the hacker organization and criminals according to law, said the statement. The Wuhan public security bureau Jianghan sub-bureau confirmed the discovery of a Trojan horse program originating from abroad at the Wuhan Earthquake Monitoring Center. According to the public security bureau, this Trojan horse program can illegally control and steal seismic intensity data collected by the front-end stations. This act poses a serious threat to national security. The public security authorities have opened a case for investigation into this matter and further conducted technical analysis on the extracted Trojan samples. It has been preliminarily determined that the incident was a cyberattack initiated by foreign hacker organizations and outlaws. Professionals told the Global Times that seismic intensity data refers to the intensity and magnitude of an earthquake, which are two important indicators of its destructive power. The data is closely related to national security, experts told the Global Times. For example, these factors need to be taken into account when constructing certain military defense facilities. The Wuhan Earthquake Monitoring Center is another national unit that has been subjected to cyberattack from outside the country following the attack on Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU) in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, by an overseas hacker group in June 2022. After the attack on NWPU, the CVERC and the company 360 jointly formed a technical team to conduct a comprehensive technical analysis of the case. They concluded that the cyberattack was conducted by the Tailored Access Operations (TAO) of the US' National Security Agency (NSA). Expert technical team composed by the CVERC and the internet security company 360 has arrived in Wuhan to carry out evidence-collection work of the latest case, the Global Times has learned. Preliminary evidence indicates that the cyberattack on the Wuhan Earthquake Monitoring Center had come from the US. According to company 360's monitoring results, the NSA has carried out cyberattacks on at least hundreds of important domestic information systems in China, and a Trojan horse program called "validator" was found to be running in the information systems of a number of departments, transmitting information to the NSA headquarters. Moreover, the findings show that a large number of "validator" Trojan horses are running in critical information infrastructure not only in China, but also in other countries, and the number of such programs planted in these countries' systems far exceeds that of China. The CIA is another notorious US cyber-attacking and stealing organization, in addition to the NSA. According to the research of the CVERC, the CIA's cyberattacks have been characterized by automation, systematization and intelligence.
