Alright, let's look into the energies on deck for them regarding their career and love life for this month.

Career (9 of Wands)-He seems to have his guard up regarding his career, probably learning to say no to things, standing his ground in some ways. He may be a bit overwhelmed of all the things he may need to do, but he isn't trying to overburden himself or exhaust himself too much.

Hoseok has a very short temper when you start refusing to comply with his wishes. First, he tries to make you understand why he’s right and you’re wrong but that tactic soon flies out of the window once he realizes how stubborn you really are. 

And trust me, it’s not nice to see the usually cheerful Hoseok turn into a berating vicious man. He’ll yell the most awful things, completely breaking you off and then throwing you into a dark lonely room for several days.

When he finally emerges, he’s the smiling and loving guy again, but only if you finally give in and do exactly as he says. Otherwise, he’s not afraid of taking your punishment into a whole new level. 

“You much of a bitch can you be? You’re so stupid sometimes. I don’t care if you like this or not, but you will do exactly what I say. If not, then you can’t even imagine what I have reserved for you.”

Namjoon is the voice of logic. Or so he tries to convince you by using the most logical and reasonable explanations. He only wants the best for you and that includes listening to him, cause he’s your boyfriend. No one else knows you better than him, that’s for sure. No one else will ever treat you so good as him, then why do you have to act up and try to self-sabotage what you have.

All of this is explained in such a calm and soothing way by an incredibly rational Namjoon, that you feel like you’re acting completely crazy. In the end, you’re the one who apologizes and comes through with whatever he wants.

Thank you so much for responding! I’m not trying to drag him, I just wanted a breakdown. Your analysis was interesting because I understand what you’re talking about, bass and clarity issues. His voice is deep but the bass like you said is missing. Usually when a singer has a deeper tone or a singer sings in their lower register you can hear how heavy and powerful it is. I think Tae lacks that in his singing. I don’t know I could be wrong but to ME there’s a tone issue, like maybe tone deafness. I don’t think he’s a bad singer, I just think his singing lacks color and flavor. Also, in terms of clarity his enunciation isn’t the best. The muddling of his words is a bit harsh on the ears. And I’m not talking about his English only, I think his Korean gets the same treatment. At least you discussed his singing in technical terms unlike his akgaes that talk about Jimin’s voice in such a nasty matter! Once again thank you! I wanted to talk about his singing but it’s hard in certain spaces.

i don't necessarily think he has a tone deafness issue because he can hold a pitch but he certainly doesn't experiment with his voice in the same way jimin and even jungkook do, which can make him sound boring. since basically debut, jimin has been changing notes, adding vocal effects like creaking and cries, and overall just playing around with his voice in performances. jimin's never really been afraid of "sounding bad" because he has a mindset that he can always do better so it doesn't matter if he fails at something

it's very rare that taehyung does this. he wont even use vibrato in most scenarios (which we actually know he can do quite well from that one black swan behind video). if he were to loose the smoothing quality in his voice for a more "belty" sound with his vibrato, his voice could end up sounding more colorful. and yeah, he does tend to sound muddled with his enunciation. it seems to be a stylistic choice, but i honestly don't know why anyone would want to sing like that, especially someone who's considered to be a global artist with people using his songs for a learning reference in language studies

i think discussing vocal technique in both praise and criticism could be healthy for army because army have a big problem where they adopt widespread narratives and they because the "truth" even if they're blatantly false. that's a part of the reason 90% of army will say jhope is the best dancer in bts and fail to take into account the difference between hobi's background as someone who took dance classes vs jimin's background as someone who went to school for dance. we should be allowed to express our critiques and praises for them without these set narratives being shoved down our throats. nothing wrong with sharing an opinion. besides, i prefer to look at things factually and (generally) without bias

Well, I don’t really agree with their take… though I do applaud them for seeing sense finally on Jk and Jm not being together.

I think all member pairings have their own way of interacting. They all have different characters which come with different levels of comfort and intimacy. The hyungs are generally less inclined to be physically close, while maknae line are all cuddlebunnies. Jm is the most physically affectionate one in BTS in my opinion, which is why you will find many instances of even Yoongi being soft with him (Yoongi being way way less comfortable with cuddles). Namjoon is very much the type to be affectionate when he sees someone struggle, but in a subtle way and not necessarily with a huge long hug. To me it’s not as though you can just swap any member for another, Jm and Jk are different from Jm and Jin for instance and no one moment will have played out exactly the same with another member. But it’s in the same way as how me and my siblings all have different ways of interacting. We all know each other well, but all pairs are different just because the characters differ.

So how are Tae and Jk different to me? I’ve written about this a lot, so you can search my tags for more if you want. But in general, Tae and Jk are more soft with each other, it’s very subtle (and never highlighted), but to me there’s an intimacy that’s closer and more familiar and more automatic than it is between them and the others. It’s hard to show in clips or pics, just because of the fast amount of footage. To me it manifests in their soft touches, the many times their eyes flick to the other in silent communication, the duration of physical moments, the anticipation in their bodies when they are close.

Cold || Prologue (Jin Love Story)

A/N: This takes place before Jin's part in my BTS As Cliched School Tropes piece. See also: Cold

"It took me all night to do my part, yours only took a few hours. It's only fair-" "Come on, you know how I am with public speaking," Hoseok complains. "I'll do it." You and Hoseok both look over at Jin, who has basically been MIA the entire project- present in class but often using his time to float around the room, socializing with his friends in neighboring groups. You prefered it that way anyway; he'd only get in the way of progress.

"Bro, you've barely paid attention all semester," Hoseok laughs, knowing Jin much better than you do and, therefore, feeling more comfortable to state the obvious.

Jin shrugs, "I can easily do the entire presentation on my own. Let me see what you guys got."

Without hesitation, Hoseok slides him the packet he'd put together last night. You, however, don't budge. There's no way he'll be able to pull it off and you definitely don't want to put half your grade into his hands like that. Jin seems to be able to read your mind, but far from being offended, he seems intrigued by your hesitation. "What's the matter, AP? Scared I'll ruin your GPA?" The nickname triggers an eyeroll from you. "Yes, actually. I am." "Fine, then I'll do Jhope's part and you can do yours. Sound good?" He asks, letting a heavy hand fall on Hoseok's shoulder. Hoseok nods, "Sounds good to me."

"Fine." "FIne." He echoes, his smirk never leaving his face.

With one swift motion, he slides the packet off of the table and begins looking over each page carefully, brows furrowed together with concentration.

You glare at him, but after a few seconds, the irritation melts away a bit and you begin to study his features.

Shaggy, black hair, pale skin, pink lips, sharp yet soft features-

Much to your dismay, Jin is an objectively attractive man. There's no doubt about it and you wouldn't try to argue the fact. His mind, however, is mush- and that is a hill you'll die on.

"G-Group," Your professor calls out. Your heart starts racing in your chest as you stand up and walk up to the front of the classroom, hugging your notebook to your chest.

Jin, however, treats the trup up to the front as a brisk walk, shooting smiles and winks at all his friends who have begun whistling at him. You didn't know a room could hold so many idiots.

"Alright, alright, settle down everyone. Whenever you're ready," Professor nods in your direction.

"Thank you...We are Y/n and Jin, and we will be presenting on Women and Feminism in the work place..." Your tone is a bit flat but it gets the job done, and after about four minutes, you're passing it over to Jin.

"Thanks, Y/n. As my colleague was saying," His formal tone causes your classmates to all giggle and snigger from their seats, "Women are often undervalued in their places of work and, even in female dominated fields like nursing or hairdressing, women will still be paid less than their male counterparts-" Unbelievable. When it was all done, you got claps from the class- or should you say- audience, and then you're walking back to your seats.

Hoseok fist bumps Jin, "Phenomenal. 10/10."

You say nothing, just sit down and brew in your irritation. Then, Jin leans over really close to your ear before you can really react and says, "Was it as good for you as it was for me, AP?"
