“Where the hell have you been?” your new husband Jaehyun asks, springing up from the bed. You close the door behind you.

You look around the small, dirty one-room you are sharing in Tokyo. Empty coffee cups teeter in the sink, crumbs litter the bedspread. It disgusts you.

Jaehyun’s cheeks seem hollow, his gorgeous hazel hair in disarray. “It’s been five days. I thought I would have to drag the river for you.” He looks furious. “Where have you even been sleeping?”

You remember the lewd neon street signs welcoming you into smoky bars, a new one every night. You lingered till the bouncer threw you out. In the day, you made a habit of holding coffees in cheap cafes until their owners, too, asked you to move on. You slept whenever you could, as if you might never sleep again.

“Here and there,” you say.

Jaehyun’s chest heaves. “You left me here with no money, no food, no drink. Not even a cigarette! Do you know how cold Tokyo is in December?” A shiver runs through him.

“Oh, don’t be dramatic. You’re always so dramatic,” you say. You would do anything to make Jaehyun stop speaking right now.

“I came here for you, remember?” Jaehyun says. He is standing now, the muscles in his neck and arms rigid. “I moved halfway across the world for you and your fancy new job. When you met me in Seoul, I wanted to die. My heart had just been broken by my girl, the love of my life. You are cruel. You made me want to live again, just to make my final death bloodier.”

You sigh, looking over Jaehyun, through the tiny window above the sink. In the distance, the sun is setting. You wish you were out there right now. “I’ve heard this story before,” you say.

You are not looking at him, but you can feel his shivers growing stronger, frustration bubbling visibly beneath his skin. “You’ve destroyed me! You don’t- you don’t love me at all. You never did. In fact, you are incapable of loving anyone. I wonder if you even loved your own parents, or if you just stared coldly up at them, waiting for milk.”

He hurls a coffee mug against the wall. It thuds against the exposed brick, then shatters into a thousand pieces over your bed.

The sound starts an earthquake down your spine. You’re alert now.

“What you call love is just servitude,” you say. “You want me to be your obedient little wife. You can be the big strong man, bringing home the money. I’ll cook for you, clean for you, lie with you at night. One day, I’ll have your babies, and then you’ll be done with me!”

Jaehyun scoffs. “You don’t really believe that. But you say these lies, because you know they will hurt me. You’ve lied to me since the moment we met. You think I don’t know that when I kiss you, I’m kissing nobody? That when I make love to you, I’m making love to nobody? You don’t live in this room at all. You live somewhere else, somewhere far outside that window, or perhaps at the bottom of the sea.”

The sour smell of the room suffocates you. The air is as thick as gelatine. “I want to leave this room,” you say. “I want to be away from you.”

Jaehyun smiles, a bitter, hurt smile. “That is the first honest thing you have said to me.”

But he doesn’t seem to realise you are being serious. Because when you turn to leave through the door, he grabs your hand.

In your surprise, you turn and look at him.

Jaehyun has transformed.

All the anger has left his face, which now seems soft and plump. He smiles softly, his brown eyes as sweet as caramel, his beautiful eyelashes thick with tears. “I didn’t mean it,” he murmurs. “I’m not mad. I love you, baby.” He rests his chin on your shoulder. “Don’t leave me.”

This is not love, you think. Jaehyun is clinging to you like a life raft in a storm. Disgust curls your stomach.  

“You don’t love me. You need me.” you say, coldly.

Jaehyun’s gentle voice grows harsh and sarcastic. “And what were you doing in the bars and nightclubs of Tokyo? Was that love?”

Now you’re thinking of the anonymous men you accepted drinks from, their names blurring into one. You think of those five dirty minutes in the dark. You think of how your mind would wander far from what was going on between your legs. You think of the gritty, shivering hours after.

You are surprised by the wave of recognition you feel. You are no different to Jaehyun. Both of you are just searching, day in, day out, for a home. Both of you are diving into the rims of sake bottles, cigarette filters, lovers’ arms… and discovering that they are hollow at the centre.  

You turn back to Jaehyun. He is so beautiful. You trace his high, noble cheekbones, the soft shadow of his dimples, the plump purple of his lips. You are struck by an overwhelming urge to comfort him.

Pulling him close, you feel him fall to his knees against you. You coil your fingers in his bronze hair. An immeasurable moment later, you shift, and gently brush all the glass pieces off your bed.

Then, you pull him onto it. Jaehyun’s lips melt effortlessly into yours. The shape of his body fits perfectly into yours, like he is following an invisible blueprint. It feels… right.

Biology choreographs the dance. Your eager hours apart time it. It is only now that you are in Jaehyun’s arms that you realise that in all your wandering, you have been wandering back to him.

Afterwards, you both lie on the bed, completely naked. In the chill of the Tokyo night, you keep each other warm.

You kiss Jaehyun’s eyelids, his lips, his nipples, wracked with guilt. The past few days, you have abandoned him, left him alone in a strange country that he only travelled to because he loves you. You have stopped appreciating that Jaehyun is your home.

“Don’t be sad,” he says, as if he can read your mind. “We are together now.”

“Let’s get out of here,” you say. “Let’s leave this awful city. Let’s go to Seoul – we can go to your home.”

“No, not Seoul.” Jaehyun says. He pauses thoughtfully. “I don’t think I have a home there anymore. Let’s go somewhere completely new.”

“I will never be a stranger to you again,” you say, gazing earnestly at him.

He kisses you gently on the lips. “Me either.”

Hello! High Valyrian related, I'm wondering about name etymologies. You've mentioned the Aegon=Aegion (iron) connection and peppering in etymology (so cool). I was scrolling through the glyphtionary and I was wondering if these finds were meaningful or if I was just seeing patterns where there were none.

Jae: (Jaehaerys, Jaehaera): god, goddess, deity

Lae (Laena, Laenor): eyes, see

Dae (Daenerys, Daeron): freedom, liberty

Most of them yes, some of them no. The h is important in Rhaella, etc. and then the final consonants are likewise important. That is, you can't lose the r of Naerys and Daeron, or the n of Laenor and Daenerys. The connection for Jaehaerys, et al. works because the root for *jaes* is actually *jaeh-* (hence, the nominative singular is *jaes*, but the genitive is *jaeho*). So yes, spot on there. I've tried to work out etymologies for all of them, though there are some I may have missed. I'll get to them all eventually.

He eventually went up to take a shower and change his clothes. When he came back down, Y/n was already enjoying her ramen without him. "Hey, you should've waited for me!" He exclaimed, running to the kitchen island, digging through the brown paper bag, sighing in relief seeing how Y/n left him a bowl. She had actually eaten his food once after the two had gotten into a silly arguement. "Thanks for not eating my food."

 "You're welcome."

Sunwoo chuckled with a shake of his head as he took a seat besides her at the kitchen island. He licked his lips as he took the lid off of his food, twirling his plastic fork in hand. He took a bite and sighed in satisfaction before turning to his girlfriend. "So, what did you do while I was gone?"

 "I cleaned, aren't you proud of me?" She replied, also taking a bite of her food.

 "I did notice the apartment was cleaner when I got back. I'm surprised you did it voluntarily," he explained, earning an elbow to the stomach from her.

 "Well, at least I was productive. I even took a walk and did our laundry," she added.

 "Look at you," he laughed, swallowing his food so he wouldn't choke. He was about to say something when his phone buzzed.

 "Who's that?" Y/n wondered.

 "Chanhee and Changmin. They want to play some Halo in fifteen," he answered.

Better known as Maegor the Cruel, he was the only son and offspring between Aegon I and his sister-wife Visenya Targaryen. The two conquorers were married out of tradition, not love, and bedding Visenya was out of duty for Aegon. Therefore, conceiving was much more difficult for Visenya, as every night Aegon spent with her, he then spent ten with Rhaenys. 

  However, Rhaenys was only able to produce one babe as well, Aenys I Targaryen - the older brother of Maegor. Who was the complete opposite of him. It was Aenys’ line that continued the Targaryen dynasty. 

 There is a lot to be said about Maegor, as he did a lot in his lifetime. Most of it was awful, as he was a man who was quick to anger and slow to forgive. When Aenys died, Maegor decided that the Iron Throne was his, and so he took it. 

   Raised on Dragonstone with his mother, away from his brother, father and step-mother/aunt, Maegor was soon known as the Prince of Dragonstone. Born large, as he grew he was described as ‘bull-like.’ Even in his youth, Maegor had a love for violence. 

  It was rumoured that Maegor killed animals while young. He had received his first sword at age three, and took to swordplay with ease. On his thirteenth name day, his mother gave him the ancestoral sword, Dark Sister. 

   Even though there were several hatchling dragons, Maegor never bonded with one. And when his sister in law, Alyssa Velaryon teased him about being dragon-less, Maegor replied that there was only one dragon worthy of him. 

  His was the fearsome and battle-ready Balerion, the Black Dread. His father’s dragon.

When Aegon died, and Aenys was crowned as King, he gave Maegor the other ancestoral sword, Blackfyre, and said they would rule together. And therefore, Aenys named Maegor as Hand of the King. 

  Maegor remained unmarried until the birth of his niece Rhaena. Visenya proposed that Maegor be betrothed to her, however, many disapproved and the High Septon put forward his daughter, Ceryse Hightower, as his bride. 

 Maegor and Ceryse married, and the day after his wedding night, Maegor boasted about conveiving an heir. He in fact, did not. And try as he did, Maegor never made an heir, even though he had six wives; Ceryse Hightower, Alys Harroway, Tyanna of the Tower, Elinor Costayne, Jeyne Westerling, and his niece Rhaena Targaryen, the last three of whom are known as the Black Brides.

  However, he did not marry all of them at once. Well, not the first three anyway. His marriage to Alys Harroway caused a lot of uproar and Aenys gave Maegor a choice - set Alys aside or go into exile for five years. Maegor chose the latter and left with Alys on the back of Balerion to Pentos. He took both ancestoral swords with him, even though Aenys told him not to. Septon Murmison replaced Maegor as Hand. And in 41 AC, Aenys named his eldest son, Prince Aegon, Prince of Dragonstone.

  There were positives to Maegor’s actions, especially during his ruling. Went down the Jaehaerys and Alysanne rabbit hole and I’m disgusted by the implications but enjoy GRRMs subtle jab at the catholic church using them. Like firstly they get fake married at like 10 and 12…prob because Jaeh was already touching her and because of her religious conviction she insisted they get “married”. Though I’m sure the touching came about because they were literally being held hostage by their evil aunt and were scared and looking for comfort.

But then because of that trauma clearly Jae decided he likes touching 10 to 14 year olds and continued on with his daughters that did not look like his wife…which interesting choice? Anyway more on that later. The first like 6ish children were golden. Parents loved them because it was a new experience they were raised properly and all given dragons and cool jobs and stuff. Perfect…therefore their kids were also decently adjusted. Now, from 7 on these kids are starting to get tedious. Can’t stop having kids because Aly is pious and Jae has no interest in stopping having sex with his wife. So here they all come. But what to do with these ones? No more jobs left can’t give them dragons because then there would be too many dragon riders. So let’s just marry them off to complete randos and quietly abuse them because we didn’t want them in the first place..but the gods blessed us with them.

All horribly sad. I hope the show goes for it and makes Hugh’s birth father Jaehaerys. Because it’s clear from the passage Seara was pregnant and that’s why she openly slept with her boyfriend to try and cover it thinking they will just marry me to him…but nope. Instead a whole show was put on and she was sent to the septas to be redeemed aka have her child in secret. Which wow super dirty. Like Jae you know what you did just marry the poor girl off.

He also clearly got to Viserra and possibly Gael. Because I’m pretty sure Aly was so harsh on Viserra trying to prevent her from the same fate as Seara. Anyway super gross and an important thing to remember as this was the stage that set up the dance.

Jae was right about one thing can’t be giving all these kids dragons it will only lead to complete devastation.

This list was made on who made the biggest impression on me, not ‘’who would win in a fight’’ for we all know it would be mr ‘’i dont want it’’ plot armor. I included both GOT and HOTD here and some men apparently had bastards off-screen but unless i saw one i'm not keeping track of the lot sorry.

16. Daeron. 

I don’t know, he is not even in the show. What is he doing on this list? Oh yeah, he might be in season 2. Well, sir, I hope you bring some serious drama to the screen. Right now I'm not impressed. At all. Because you don’t exist. At all. 

Threat level: -100 (he does not exist at this point imo) method of defeat: Pull his hair? (idk)

15: Viserys I Targaryen.

Viserys is a good kind man, but a horrible father to most of his children. He had a dragon once, but that dragon died. He had two wives and showed himself a righteous, good and kind rare Targaryen who should have given his Green children more love and attention and raised them better as well (I said what I said) That said, Viserys is no real threat to anyone or anything, as he proved countless times that he lets people walk all over him (Corlys, Alicent, Rhaenyra) and that there are no real consequences when it comes to him. 

Threat: -20 method of defeat: Hide his crown or put a whoopy cushion on his throne (Heart-attack)

14. Viserys (Little viserys)

Not really impressed by Viserys so far, or even scared. I think it will depend how the show will continue if we will ever see how Viserys (Daenyra��s son) will grow up. I don’t count it as first appearance points, so he can rise in ranking should he grow up to be as terrifying as his uncle and daddy. 

Threat:0 (child) method of defeat: bedtime.

13. Jaehaerys II Targ (The son of Aegon/Aemond and Helaena)

Nothing that impressive going on either, nothing to be afraid of at this moment as well, aside from the fear that I could accidentally step on his toes or something. We must wait and see if we will see if Jaeh grows up to be as terrifying as his uncle or daddy depending on what you believe.  

Threat:0 (Child) method of defeat: Give him cheese (lactose intolerance)

12. Aegon (Child of Rhae and Daemon)

Again we will see how the show handles his aging, his possible warcrimes and how insane he will become if he ever becomes insane. Ranked above Jaeh because I believe that Rhaes and Daemons children would be more chaotic because Daemon would raise his kids, Aegon ignores them. 

Threat:0 (Child) method of defeat: peek-a-boo.

11. Maelor (Child of aegon/aemond and Hel.)

Once more we need to show how the show handles him. I haven’t seen him burn puppies on screen or rip his sister’s dolls to shreds so we will wait and see if and how Maelor will live up to his namesake. 

Threat: 0 (child) method of defeat: tear his favourite toy to pieces/Tell him his mother loves his brother more.

10. Joffrey (Child of Rhae and Harwin)

Joffery is a child so we havent seen his heights and lows yet, but he does slightly scare me more than most kids. Why? Because he's the youngest. Youngest children are always a bit more spoiled, get away with a lot more (i am a youngest child). But thats all speculation we dont know how this brave strong boy will become scary if at all.

 Threatlevel: 0 (child) method of defeat: Challenge his bravery and manipulate him into doing something dangerous.

9. Jaehaerys I targaryen. 

This is the old king that opens the show, so to speak. We see him sitting at the council. He apparently was a very good king, reigning over nearly sixty years of peace and prosperty. Now that’s rare in the Targaryen family. We applaud him, but we don’t fear the old man. At least I don’t. Not once. He's higher than Viserys because he is older, older people get forgetful he might become as Vhagar and accidentally commit war crimes but we didnt see any of that sadly.

Threat: 3 (but dead) method of defeat: Take him for a stroll/let him explain the targaryen family tree to you (heartfailures)

8. Unnamed bastard of Aegon II

This child is the most terrifying on the list because he grew up fighting and not the kind that the royals do with pretty swords and tourneys he has to learn how to fight for himself or he could die. I was pretty disgusted (by aegon ofc) when I saw this innocent little boy sitting there, without his parents or a guardian in an environment that horrible. A horrible environment makes for horrible people. I hope we will see more of this bastard in season 2.  Threat: 2 (child with fighting skills) method of defeat: Tell him his father will come back after he gets milk.

7. Lucerys ‘’Velyaron’’/Targaryen.

Lucerys proved himself right from the start to be a sweet, kind boy. He could not face injustice and was very small and kinda not that important compared to his brother Jace (imo) until he took Aemonds eye and possibly arguably, and most certainly, played a big part in the start of the civil war that drives that wonderful story. Lucerys was shy, perhaps, a bit too sweet, yes but he was a skilled dragonrider, as was shown in his final moments. (this is not sarcasm, i think most dragons wouldnt have survived vhagar that long) Lucerys proves that even in death he could be a plague to Aemond that he will never be free of, being both ionic and yet sweet to his loved ones.  

Threat: level 4. (but sadly, turned into a dragon meal/dead) method of defeat: Remind him that death comes for everyone/Offer him a dragon-omelette.

6. Jacaerys ‘’Velyaron’’/Targaryen.

Jace. He showed right up when his mother needed an heir, he is loved by many, good, sweet, so boring-I MEAN EH-. Jace is …decent with a sword, he would beat me but so would the children on this list. Jace is a good, kind person that almost equals Jon snow in got. There is not much going on for his darkness or emotions, I think the closest thing he got to being scary was when Aegon hit on Baela, i loved his little speech. BUT: I do hope we see another darker side of Jace, as he now is not really annoying me, but I have this feeling he can be more. There can be more struggle for him as in morally. His brother has just died, so I assume we will get it. I hope to see more scenes of Jace in general, more info on him as well. 

Threat: Level 5 Method of defeat: Say you need a ‘’Strong’’ boy to roll a tv into a classroom/ Hit on Baela.

5. Jon Snow.

Right from the start of the show we see that Jon is a loyal but lost puppy who would never ollow his own dreams and would rather follow someone else’s. We see him as a skilled warrior and that might be terrifying to his enemies, but as a viewer I could see he is a golden retriever, loyal, sweet, kind. The only moment I feared Jon was when he was brought back to life but he was himself so…nothing to fear i guess? Yet we fear him for his plot armor. Threat: 7 (Plot armor king) method of defeat: Remind him that Arya killed the night king, or offer him a throne.

4. Aegon II (Son of Viserys I, Alicent Hightower)

Aegon is a raper, a usurper and he can be terrifying for those two reasons alone. HOWEVER; There is something hiding beneath those little hobo locks and his bright eyes. Aegon is dangerous in another way. He is medicore with a sword, not caring for duty, nor his destiny. But what he does care for is inflicting drama, and he is pretty damn good at it. He is chaotic and sadistic, and does clearly not care who or what he destroys as long as he has his fun. That makes him dangerous. Aegon is luckily too much of an idiot to form a real threat but he does terrify me. 

(Threat: 8 Level of defeat: Chastity belt/Rehab.)

3. Viserys III Targaryen (Son of IDK and IDC)

‘’WHAT?!’’ This man has what we call ‘’First Targ privilege.’’ He is the first male Targaryen I saw on screen. And he absolutely terrified me. I didn’t think he was sexy for it or hot, or anything. I wanted him off my screen asap. But there is more than his privilege. The other Targaryen males in this list struggle perhaps for position, for glory and worth but Viserys III has already lost it all. He is foolish, gullible and imo the inbreeding has gone on longer so therefore he has a higher risk of insanity. Aemond and Daemon are scary for who they are and for who the world made them to be, but Viserys is terrifying for he has lost everything, and is willingly to risk it all to get back what he wants. That makes him scary to me. But mostly also the first part.  Threat: 8 (insanity) level of defeat: telling him he is no dragon and gifting him a pot of gold.

2. Daemon Targaryen (The Rogue Prince)

Daemon is a complicated man. He is put second, many times. He is forced to marry a woman he does not love. But there is more to Daemon than his crimes/tragedy. He is a chaotic man with quite the strategic mind, the resources, the name, the titles and the courage to back up his chaotic plans and plots. He is also quite attractive which he is very aware of. He rides the biggest dragon in the world. I think there were multiple moments Daemon was terrifying. For example his introduction. i didn’t notice at first, but he was sitting the throne. I didnt knew at the time but that is considered high-treason. he was committing sorta treason right when he was introduced. I dont mind though he looked hot sitting that iron ugly thing. Next scene we see him kill his wife, behead a man and eventually we see him even choke our beloved disney princess Rhae-rhae and for that he can burn. But Daemon does prove himself to care about others. He can be capable of emotions, of good will and good deeds….For the right price.

Threat: ten. Method of defeat: Telling him he can’t do something, mock him or win from him.

Aemond Targaryen

Aemond has many flaws and skills that make him as terrifying as Daemon perhaps even more. Daemon is very readable. You can read him and his actions/plots what he does next very well, as he is logical semi-healthy man. Now Aemond? Aemond does not wear his heart on his sleeve and is often hiding that away/

It kinda comes close to what the actor of Aemond said in a interview: ‘’Just because Aemond is smiling does not mean he is happy.’’ He is basically hiding his emotions very well, and even if he is happy he is ready to go for it any moment (his sudden outburst by the baratheons) there is also the matter of his lost eye and how he became a sword man nevertheless. There is something terrifying about Aemond and it's his dedication. To everything: To his duties, to his family, to destroying his enemies and learning. He does not want to be better than the Strong boys, he wants to be the best. He believes himself superior, better, and stronger than Aegon but his sense of loyalty binds him to Aegon. I hope we see more of his war crimes tbf and more of his dark side. We saw a very mild version of his book counterpart (huh but didnt you say you didnt read-) Oh i did read Aemonds parts and It scared me xD. So Aemond is terrifying not because he is stronger than Daemon, but because he is chaotic as Daemon, second born as daemon, never enough as Daemon and Aemond has a score to settle with the rest of the world or whoever he thinks hurt him. 

THREAT: Ten (SAME AS DAEMON!) method of defeat: Give him a hot woman, a castle and an army and you won't see him even if you would invade his home, hold his mother hostage and commit crimes in the city he grew up in.

CONCLUSION

 When I made this list I already knew: It was going to be between Aemond or Daemon, there was no other way for it. I knew I was going to put Jon last and I knew it was going to be controversial af. Yet i hope you enjoyed it. I did my best to make it kinda funny lol.

Hyunjae’s birth chart analysis

hyunjae's a virgo sun and mercury, which means that he's a practical, perfectionist and responsible man. he's also very servicial and seeks for mutual relationships... however, this dude has high standards, he likes being respected and can be too demanding both on himself and on others. jaehyun's a detail-oriented dude who possesses a lot of nervous energy. he hates when things get out of hand and can be quite critical when things don't work the way he wants it. this man has sun trine moon and sun sextile mars, which makes him a very energetic, ambitious and confident person; he knows what he wants. and with his sun sextile neptune, he's also very intuitive and empathic.

jaehyun's a great lie detector with his mercury square pluto! this dude is very opinionated, he loves debates and it's always looking for the deeper meaning of things. however, this aspect along with his aries saturn can also indicate that he can have trust issues and he might feel that nobody understands him.

he has his moon in capricorn, which means that it's hard for him to express his feelings openly and often hides it behind sarcastic humour. sometimes he may feel insecure and he also has a great fear of being rejected. that's why he has the great need to feel useful and productive. it can be hard for hyunjae to relate to people who have different values and opinions... maybe that's why it can take a long time for him to find someone he can trust and love. not to mention his moon square venus! this aspect can indicate that he's afraid of intimacy and, if he ever gets intimate with someone, he's likely to get into bad company and people can use him in some way.

I feel that this man likes playing the role of the victim in order to get what he wants. this dude is impatient, arrogant, reckless, selfish and quite cocky with this mars square jupiter! like I said before, he likes getting what he wants... but with this aspect, hyunjae can struggle obtaining all of his desires.

jaehyun knows how to work well in groups with his aquarius jupiter and he's also not afraid of trying new things in his work. if he wants to have good look in his job, hyunjae has to be more impartial, cooperative and inventive.

his misson in this life is to work in his self-esteem and be more assertive. he also need to be more focused on details, be more cautious and have a routine. jaehyun needs to take care of his health and focus more on his work.
