A thought appeared in my head a hot minute ago, and I finished a colored sketch of genderbent Seed Siblings in their signature poses/outfits/all that. I didn't want them to look completely different bc they deserve to still look like themselves, etc. Also, with variants of their names. Josephine is awkward bc that's MINE, and by god, I would fight female Joseph for it

I feel like Joseph probably has the best sense of humor out of all the Seeds, like he’s been the butt of so many “daddy” jokes he just laughs and goes along with it before being like “no, no, not like that my child”

Jacob has humor so edgy and dark it would make the Twitter trolls shrink. He’s been through hell and back and instead of therapy he copes with dark humor and conditioning people to murder each other because he feels like he’s inadequate as a person

John? He has zero chill. Make even the slightest hint of a joke out of him and he will have you murdered on the spot. He’s a very fragile person and only his brothers are allowed to poke fun at him, but only because they know that he’s too reliant on Joseph to tell him he’s a good boy (spoiler alert: John is never a good boy)

You guys remember the chalkboard with Jacob's structural formulas for organic chemistry and the note at the Chosen One's camp?

I wondered how Joseph had managed to get Jacob, a veteran of over twenty years of service and long since out of school, to take the initiative to learn chemistry.

just look what chemistry and medicinal plant experiments have done for me - I just crashed after six months of three hours of sleep a day and the last month of intense testing.(but after 28 hours of sleep, no painting, studying, working, and answering tons of messages from lab, I feel much better. )

I’ve already seen content involving the rest of the cast, but it’s true that it’s rare and that Greg Bryk seems to appear more often. Even in fancasts and when all the Heralds are replaced by other people, he’s usually still Joseph!

To me, there are several reasons.

First, while he had been in other stuff before being cast in Far Cry 5, he was less famous than Seamus Dever and Mark Pellegrino who were already known for playing Kevin Ryan in Castle and Lucifer in Supernatural, respectively. It seems to me that actors are usually associated with one “big” role, and while Mark and Seamus already had an established fan base, the first character people think of when they see Greg is now the Father.

Then, while they were promoting the game, Ubisoft organized events and interviews with him, which put him in the spotlight compared to the actors who played the Heralds. Unlike them, he was in Inside Eden’s Gate and reprised his role in New Dawn and the Collapse DLC as well, which helped keep Joseph “alive” in people’s minds and make Greg seem irreplaceable.

They also scanned his face to create Joseph, and while they likely did this for the other Seeds too (I can really see the resemblance), the 3D model looks nearly identical to him, especially when he had a beard, tied his hair, and wore glasses to basically cosplay the Father for events and on social media, blurring the lines even more between him and his character.

Finally, as far as I know, Mark Pellegrino has barely talked about Jacob, Seamus Dever has mentioned John a few times, but Greg Bryk has been talking about Joseph regularly since 2017, sometimes spontaneously (like he did just today), sometimes because a lot of people still ask questions about the character every time they get the chance.

And so I guess that’s why he’s indissociable from Joseph Seed to a lot of fans :)

Excuse my curiosity, but is there a particular reason why of all Seed cast we're fawning over Greg Bryk and not Mark Pellegrino and Seamus Dever, besides that he played Joseph Seed?

It might be just me not seeing the content of course, but... I got curious.

Okay, so you guys know how Jacob Seed talks funny, like a morning voice/almost horny, when radio-ing the deputy? I think he does it specifically for them, and here's my very poorly gathered evidence:

In all the outposts and his first speech to the deputy in "the chair," he does not sound like that for most of the time.

But after the deputy survives his conditioning, only in the radio and when directing a message at the deputy, is the only time he sounds like that!

What a weirdo! There's no reason to be purring and grumbling into someone's ear on very public broadcasts!

It's probably to seem intimidating, but he just sounds like he just woke up and is very dehydrated lol

I'm going a little crazy with the AU where the Seed family doesn't die, but temporarily moves to the center of America to solve financial and legal problems. Deputy, along with the sheriff, Hudson and Pratt, are released and they decide to go after the National Guard. The Collapse has not yet occurred, so there is time to stop the Seed family, but Deputy did not suspect that he would end up in the same city with them.
