Por primera vez, Fedot Ivanovich Shubin realizó un retrato de Catalina II, encargado por el presidente de la Academia de las Artes, Ivan Ivanovich Shuvalov, durante un viaje de retiro a Italia en 1771. Los monumentos antiguos dejaron una impresión imborrable en el joven escultor. La cosmovisión de muchos maestros estuvo significativamente influenciada por viajes relacionados con la formación en el entorno de los clásicos antiguos. Shubin escribió que en Roma “los pensamientos cambian, la mente se llena de una visión de lo mejor a la luz de los originales relacionados con las artes, [Roma] da un gran deseo, amor y gusto por seguir y alcanzar la perfección”. Diplomatic relations between the focal countries and their neighboring countries.

Due to the various political, economic, and security interests and difficulties that each nation faces, the diplomatic relations between Colombia, Venezuela, and its neighboring countries are complicated and frequently hostile. The following are some of these relationships' key features:

A longstanding and shared history exists between Colombia and Venezuela, but there has also been a history of disagreements and hostilities over things like the border, maritime area, the armed war in Colombia, and the political and humanitarian crises in Venezuela. After Venezuela blocked the border and deported thousands of Colombians in 2015, the relationship between the two countries has drastically deteriorated. Colombia agrees with ELN rebel group to extend truce

Colombia has agreed with The National Liberation Army (ELN) to extend a landmark truce deal that expired last week.

The government in Caracas said on Tuesday that it has agreed with Colombia’s largest remaining armed rebel group to extend the suspension of conflict by six months. The deal offers further hope of an end to decades of violence.

Colombia has suffered more than half a century of conflict between the government and various left- and right-wing armed groups, as well as drug traffickers.

ELN started in 1964 as a leftist ideological movement by students, union leaders and priests inspired by Cuba’s revolution. It is believed to have about 4,000 fighters in Colombia, and is also present in Venezuela, where it runs illegal gold mines and drug trafficking routes.

It is also known for staging kidnappings for ransom and attacks on oil infrastructure. The United States and the European Union have listed it as a “terrorist” organisation.

Under the deal, ELN agreed to suspend kidnapping, leading it to ask the government for financial support to replace lost revenue.

The armed group said it will “unilaterally and temporarily suspend economic detentions, a commitment that will be followed up by the Monitoring and Verification Mechanism”.

In 2016, a peace agreement disbanded the Marxist Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, known as FARC. That made ELN the country’s largest remaining rebel group. It has since increased its activities in territories formerly under FARC control.

In 2019, peace talks with ELN were called off by conservative former President Ivan Duque after a car bomb attack on a police academy in Bogota that killed 22 people.

Talks between Bogota and the ELN were relaunched in November 2022 in neighbouring Venezuela. Several rounds of peace talks have followed, with the process supported by Mexico, Norway, Venezuela, Cuba, Brazil and Chile as guarantors.

Los orígenes de la iconografía de la imagen "Cómo te llamaremos" se encuentran en el arte cristiano europeo del siglo XV. La combinación de la oración de la Madre de Dios, con la que se consagra solemnemente el comienzo del día, con la imagen de la Madre de Dios de pie sobre una delgada luna creciente en el resplandor de la luz con el Niño, expresó más plenamente el simbolismo de esta imagen.

El ícono “Cómo te llamaremos” (Cielo bendito), pintado por Kirill Ulanov y Alexei Kvashnin, pintores de íconos de la Cámara de Armas del Kremlin de Moscú, en 1708, fue donado a la iglesia en la Galería Tretyakov. Tiene una inscripción posterior "Nuestra Señora de Vilna" en el campo superior. Se desconoce el origen del icono.
