#its totally not because he thinks Jason is hot and trying to find common interests

jason smells like burning. it’s faint, most people wont be disgusted by the smell or anything, though for supernatural creatures with enhanced abilities to smell it can be quite overwhelming. the inside of jason’s body is, generally speaking, practically on fire. he’s always very warm if not very hot to the touch and his body smelling like it’s burning is just kind of a side effect of that. when he’s using/just used his powers the smell of burning flesh is Very Strong and heavily noticeable to even regular humans.

𝐇𝐎𝐖  𝐃𝐎  𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘  𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐄𝐏  ?

he hasn’t got a great sleep schedule. the boy tends to stay up pretty late in fear of nightmares, often trying pretty hard to stay up all night. when he does fall asleep he tends to get nightmares pretty much every night, the severity varies but even when they aren’t as horrible they’re still very difficult for him to deal with as they generally are flashbacks to the lab and what happened there. most of the time jason avoids sleep unless he’s sleeping with someone. when he’s in his teen years it manifests as crawling into miecz’s bed or curling up on his lap when they’re watching tv.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓  𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐂  𝐃𝐎  𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘  𝐄𝐍𝐉𝐎𝐘  ?

jason likes pretty much all music, just in moderation. he hadn’t experienced music until after he got out of the lab and at first it can be very very overwhelming for him. loud music especially is too much, especially when you get into genres like rock or metal. generally jason is quite a big fan of classical music and anything on piano, generally the softer stuff but even the more intense ones are enjoyable at a volume he can easily tolerate. he also quite likes music designed for younger kids, both because of his general temperament being that of a younger kid and because its easy to listen to.

𝐇𝐎𝐖  𝐌𝐔𝐂𝐇  𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄  𝐃𝐎  𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘  𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐃  𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐘  𝐈𝐍  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆?

not much at all. most of the time he rolls out of bed and puts on whatever’s closest to him. showers always have to be quick otherwise it risks the water causing him some damage, so he generally doesn’t take much time at all to get up and ready.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓  𝐈𝐒  𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑  𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄  𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐓𝐎  𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓  ?

jason collects pretty much anything he gets the chance to. it’s most common in his teen years but even when he gets older he tends to hoard things. while not collecting necessarily, jason definitely will hoard food in his room and hide snacks all over the place, a habit formed when he’s first given unrestricted access to food after leaving the lab. in terms of actual physical things, jason tends to like soft toys a lot and will have a pretty good sized collection of those, but also just random sticks and rocks he finds that he likes. rocks especially because they dont get totally destroyed if he accidentally sets things on fire.

𝐀𝐑𝐄  𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘  𝐋𝐄𝐅𝐓  𝐎𝐑  𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓  𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐃  ?

primarily right handed i think, but i’d say he has some level of ambidexterity. not to a huge extent, but since jason’s still learning how to do most things when he gets out of the lab he definitely tries things with both hands wherever he can. as an adult he’s entirely ambidextrous but just favours his right hand.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓  𝐈𝐒  𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑  𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐎𝐍  ?

jason doesn’t really understand the concept of religion. even when he gets older he doesn’t get it, but he’s always pretty supportive of those around him and he’s very interested in the concept. when he forms the brenner house i think he goes out of his way to have religious areas that would work for as many different religions as possible, trying to accomodate everyone he can, and i think the research process of that opens him up to learning about a lot of religions but i don’t think jason ever specifically subscribes to any religion.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓  𝐈𝐒  𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑  𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄  𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓  ?

jason isn’t a fan of sport in general. most sports aren’t really something accessable to him — his limited hand movement and inability to grip things super well tends to inhibit him when it comes to sports. he sometimes likes watching sports, gymnastics is one he likes a lot. he’s very interested in swimming and ice skating and anything water/snow/ice related since he can’t actually play/do those things, but in general sports is a no go for him.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓  𝐈𝐒  𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑  𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄  𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐘  𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐓𝐎  𝐃𝐎  𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍  𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆  ?

he doesn’t travel much, but jason just loves to see things and look around. big buildings and pretty artwork really catches his eye. honestly for the most part he’d hate touristy things specifically because he’d get sensory overload super quickly what with there being so many people and a lot of noise and just a whole load of stimulus around him. he also definitely likes any stuffed toys he can find. he likes the idea of trying new foods but that also offers the opportunity for sensory overload since he’s still easing himself into most flavors and spices.

warm weather is his go-to. its the only weather where he actually feels comfortable. cold weather gets him sick super easy, rain and snow can be dangerous to him. just hot sunny days are good for him.

jason has so many fears. hes afraid of everything. i think floor to ceiling tiled bathrooms probably freak him out quite a bit because of his experiences in the lab. doctors in general. he’s scared of most animals, though more specifically scared he’s going to hurt them. most of his fear really rounds out to being afraid of hurting someone/something, losing control of his powers, or being hurt himself.
