related reflection- for the longest time i didn't think i was bullied as a kid, aside from some exceptional moments i would find out that a whole huge group of people hated me the whole time. i imagine the real answer was that i was being lightly/subtly(?) bullied pretty frequently but did not have the ability to recognize it! so i would only find out anything was wrong if i was in the wrong bathroom at the wrong time to hear everyone disparage me. what a very odd experience to have, but i am overall grateful to have been spared the anguish of constantly feeling bullied even if i was just too dumb lol. equally grateful none of my school bullies chose violence, because i am very aware they could have MADE ME know i was being bullied if they wanted to!
