Anyone else getting religious/culty vibes or is it just me?

Like idk. Based on what little we've seen, I assume that Brennan is playing the mother of this family. And I feel like she has some level of devotion to the Blue that I'm sure will start devout, but I think will most likely veer into an arc of disillusionment. Like either she was tricked in some way into buying into this, or there was no external source of ill-intent that involved her and it is just in the events and challenges of the story that cause doubt to creep in.
