thinking about how unconfortably relatable Papyrus is and how I can pinpoint exactly why I initially hated him when I first played through the game and I'm just :/
#my post#this isnt even a 'haha i kin funny skeleton man' relatable#its 'i was also ride or die for literally anyone that showed me a shred of friendliness and that led me to make some stupid decisions'#its 'being so insanely fucking lonely you dream about being popular so you're not alone anymore'#its 'being weird means you have a hard time socializing with other people which doesnt fucking help at all'#its 'being smart enough to understand more than you let on but acting stupid because people kinda expect it/its easier/its safer'#its 'being known as the kind one means you get infantilized and TREATED as dumber sometimes so its an easy role to fill and SUCKS.'#its 'people not telling you the truth because you're so damn kind and soft and they dont wanna hurt you (#(which is WORSE when you find out that's what people are doing cause its a lie of omission and FUCK OFF WITH THAT)#its 'doing the right thing even when it hurts because hurting other people SUCKS and its WORSE cause you GET IT in some way'#its 'wanting to fix things but you dont know how and sometimes you dont have enough info or just can't'#its 'having a person in your corner who you have a good but set dynamic with and breaching any divide is just HARD sometimes so you dont'#its 'unfortunately i understand you all too well and i don't like what i see at all because it's everything uncomfortably painful'#bad vibes (i guess)#tagalicious#in summary: i dont kin papyrus but i can and have worn those boots and my feet are broken from doing so.#(no i am not okay but i need to get it outta my head. just like this if you see it or pat in the 🗨️)
