btw about this mouthwashing situation (partly). i get that new fandoms are rabid, and everyone wants to ride the train BUT. there's stuff that happens all the time, and it's especially prevalent in these new fandoms. cuz ppl want to latch onto the hottest thing, etc. it's media "analysis".

...how do you sit there, retell the complete story of a book/movie/comic/game with some lame-ass comments and monotonous cool guy voice for 40 fucking hours and then have the gall to name ur video AN ANALYSIS. analysis where??? bitch that's a summary??? and it's not even good??? idk why i choose to appear emotional over this but i'm so fucking tired of "yeagh... so johnny johnson picks up the axe and then dismembers milly jilly gruesomely and uhm guys i think there's a metaphor for systemic misogyny and some deep allegory guys i'm not very smart so idk i won't bother explaining it to ya... and then he hunts down bobbly wobbly and strangles horse plinko and he's a very bad guy. so yeah a harrowing story about our human nature" – and i doubt that something like last sentence will be there tbh... if you want to analyse something then do it, otherwise name ur stuff "story summary" and move on. it's not immoral, it's just uhh nobody presents a lizard and says it's a bird. retelling is not analysing. i get that names and labels are all made up, but we didn't invent them just to fuck around.
