#it's very wild seeing newer blogs talk about tolms in the tag

Saw your post about only having a few Tom movies left to see. Curious about which ones those are and which ones you’ve seen recently? Do you like his films on the whole? I ask since I’m also in the middle of a Tom movie marathon....he’s done such great work in all honesty.

oh hello!!! yes i've been deep into the Tom Cruise fandom ever since I saw Fallout in 2018. I've been steadily watching his movies since then! tho i kind of took a break between January 2021 and now bc I fell into the hole that is fixating on Les Grossman and Rob Slolom from Tropic Thunder

so far the six movies of his that i haven't seen are:

Endless Love

Taps

Losin' It

Risky Business

Magnolia

Lions for Lambs

but i have access to Taps, Losin' It, and Risky Business! so really the number will go down to 3 in due time. personally not sure if Endless Love would be worth it since he plays only a small role in it, and both Magnolia and Lions for Lambs are movies that i'm going to have to work up the resolve and the courage to finally watch, just due to the nature of the characters he plays in them. I will probably push Lions for Lambs to the very very back haha.

it just so happens that i've set a tentative resolution for myself to watch one movie per day this year, so in a way that's really helped me have the incentive to watch the tolms (tom films) that've been sitting on my computer since september last year. but recently i've watched:

cocktail

the color of money

all the right moves

the outsiders extended edition in theaters bc they did a rerelease here in taiwan! very grateful i got to experience it

i've watch all of rest of the tolms before January 2021!

i love his films as a whole! i generally have very positive things to say about movies in general, but for tolms it's just a whole other level. he's done so many truly great and delightful work. and even if the movie itself isn't "well made", the characters he plays in them are often worth watching for. and he's done such a vast genre of things! there's something for everyone.
