there's something very true to me about brennan's point about impulsive morality and suvi, because YEAH. one of suvi's best traits is that despite the inclination for characters like suvi (female, high int, competitive) she is not a perfectionist. she doesn't get analysis paralysis, doesn't doubt her abilities or her authority, doesn't get caught up in looking back, as long as she has all the information.
when suvi is at her best, her mind, her beliefs, and her actions are one clear, shining line. it's all one movement through her, and it's so fun and gratifying to watch.
#suvirin kedberiket#wbn#worlds beyond number#wwwo#I'm incredibly fond of character that when they are locked in are a force of nature#but spend so much time fighting invisible demons that we don't see it enough that it gets normalized#it's very c!wilbur core to me imo

Regarding you post about ghostbur, I always thought of ghostbur in a slightly different way of rather him representing c!wilburs heart.
Like just who and what he enjoys and cares about, his love for others and the lack of love to himself (with there being a few instances of ghostbur referring to c!wilbur as bad and shameful, like a nasty stain on the past that you can’t get out.)
And also how c!wilburs heart protects itself with what you mentioned as repression and other coping mechanisms and such.
Thinking of ghostbur as still an integral part of c!wilbur but by c!wilburs nature (of hiding his true feelings with facades, deception out of protection of ones own self image and reputation, etc.) the traits ghostbur depicts shown a lot less considering his heart would probably be much more hidden during that time period of pogtopia for him.
True! I think there's a lot of affordability for nuance in Ghostbur interpretations because, from what I can tell, Wilbur never had a concrete direction in mind when it came to Ghostbur's character, and so there's no one right answer imo (though there are definitely wrong ones.) His openness about his emotions that you're talking about comes from that repression, from a lack of paranoia because he suppressed the memories that made it really spike.
The thing that makes me personally hesitant to describe him as representing Wilbur's heart or even his more emotive, open side, is that yes, he's open about his positive emotions and attachments, showing what's important to c!Wilbur. But he doesn't show the sadness at all. He still hides that just as much as L'Manburg-to-early Pogtopia Wilbur did. He's all the softer bits that Wilbur was hesitant to show, but he still isn't open about the more ugly ones. And negative emotions are a part of the self, just as much as positive ones, so if he is meant to represent c!Wilbur's heart, he's not showing parts of it in equal amounts. Sadness, anger, fear, all are just as essential emotions as joy or love to a person's identity. If they still repress some of those, well, they're not really showing them all, are they?
Plus, he's lacking that innate drive to do great things and that pride that I would say is central to Alivebur's character and at the core of what made him infuse the server with so much soul, in the creation of L'Manberg. Ghostbur is very quick to point out that he's not a leader like Alivebur was. And maybe, being openly soft is about heart, but I think passion is just as much so. Passion that didn't often come across, with Ghostbur. (Though sometimes it did - like at the Butcher Army! To me, however, that just points out how much he lacks it, the rest of the time.)
I don't think our interpretations are mutually exclusive. Like, I agree with what you said, and I think that one of cc!Wilbur's intentions with Ghostbur was to show what c!Wilbur found important. But I think that focusing in only on the bits of what Ghostbur does represent misses out on what's highlighted by what he's lacking: namely c!Wilbur's passion and take-charge nature. Ghostbur - in terms of what he tells us about Wilbur - is just as much about what he is as what he is not, and trying to put a concrete definition on him, in my experience, doesn't really work for both of those.
#enderspeak#Anon I am SO sorry I literally typed most of this out when you sent it but then things happened and I put off posting it#Then completely forgot until now 😭#But it's a topic of the night so at least it's seeing the light of day?#I hope I didn't misinterpret your points though. I just view ''heart'' as more than what they enjoy and care about#It's so much more to me. And Ghostbur lacks some of that

Alright so I see it was noticed pretty fast ;] I put a lo of thinking into it not only from the symbolism perspective but also pair combos.
If you wanna theorize yourself it's as follows: Fundy: 5 of Hearts Purpled: Ace of Spades Foolish: 9 of Clubs Sam: Jack of Clubs Slimecicle: Ace of Hearts Schlatt: King of Spades Quackity: King of Diamonds
if you're interested in my interpretations continue reading ;]
Hearts: Generally refer to feelings and raw emotions [often joy], honesty and naivety in some cases
Fundy: 5 of Hearts generally hold a meaning of major change coming to one's home or family [divorce, loved one moving away or a new home] This one was the fastest pick for me since in my opinion it perfectly encapsulates Fundy currently. A home and sense of belonging is something Fundy really wants and needs right now and in his eyes, that's what Las Nevadas is, a safespace. Loved one moving away can refer to Wilbur's death as well as everybody from L'manburg squad moving away and leaving Fundy. And if we're willing to stretch the canon then even the divorce part kinda fits (Dream).
Slimecicle: Ace of Hearts represents new beginnings, new relationships and general good news. I feel like Slime in comparison to Fundy also has a close bond to just raw emotions but in his case, he's not capable of feeling embarrassed or even trying to hide them. He's as honest as they go, just an awful liar. New start and new relationships are the core of Slime being in Las Nevadas for now as he slowly finds a place in everybody's hearts
Spades: Often they mean upcoming struggles, they also stand for death, intelligence and are often associated with the number 13
Purpled: Ace of Spades has one of the strongest meanings among the cards. It carries a strong association with a grim ripper which I thought would fit Purpled's assassin aesthetic as well as signifying a part of his life closing behind him with the explosion of his UFO. Ace of spades tells us that we have to get rid of something to make room for something new. Spades in some meanings also get their roots as "cosmic trees" which I thought was a nice touch.
Schlatt: King of Spades represents an authoritative man who may create trouble. With Schlatt's background as the president of Manburg and generally IMO pretty intelligent businessman it quite fitted the slot. I always got the feeling he knew how to play his cards even it might appear he's in a losing position. Some texts also point to the number 13 and its general association with black magic/evil which sits well considering Schlatt was originally the owner of the revival book.
Clubs: Usually hold a meaning of work and wealth. They also have a strong connection to maturity and fire.
Foolish: 9 of Clubs means the completion of a project or phase of one's life. We know that it's not Foolish's first rodeo, as a god he had to close doors and burn bridges behind himself for a long time now. Las Nevadas together with the completion of his gigantic pyramid [and potentially the summer home in general] mark the end and the new beginning in Foolish's life. Clubs hold strong symbolism with fire sun and summer which are quite obviously aesthetically connected to Foolish, as well as the wealth and physical work aspect since he's a builder and known for the excess amounts of gold and other valuable blocks used in his builds. Clubs also have some connection to destruction hinting towards his past.
Sam: Jack of Clubs often stands for an honest and trustworthy person who may be your friend [and before C!Sam-antis start typing, let me explain /hj] I feel like Sam's perspective is often overlooked and simplified to "cop man bad" because he holds a minor but important role among the "main players" like Tommy, Dream and now Quackity and Techno. He is a very complex character that, unfortunately [because of his role] is hard to sympathize with. I can go on but I will leave it at that here. Sam is an honest man, he's fair and even selfless with people who are kind and honest with him. He's loyal and doesn't go against people unless they themselves betray his trust/ go against his job principles [that he's extremely open and clear about]. While wisdom is more of Foolish's brand - Sam is the intelligence. The vast knowledge about redstone and the value of money [as he recently picked up his bank project again]
Diamonds: Strongly connected not only to finances but also power, intuition, energy and more importantly spitefulness and light
Quackity: King of Diamonds represents a powerful and successful businessman... and I feel like that's what Quackity is striving to be, he's not there yet. For one reason or another, I really wanted Q to be the odd one out, to show that despite his attempts to build something new where he belongs and oping people in - he's still alone with his struggles as the Las Nevadas arc begins. He's closed off and despite all his talk - not willing to really open up about his honest feelings in fear of rejection or perceived weakness. His gift of speech and intuition carried him through the darkest of times and his newly realised value of power and information will carry him either further or to his grave. Diamonds often symbolise courage and despite Q's own admittance about his cowardness - you gotta admit man got some balls to constantly go against the most powerful men on the DSMP. The spitefulness plays a big role in Q's arc since he's constantly trying to prove himself and show other people he can do everything they always doubted. With all of this dark and heavy stuff... there is light. Light and warmth representing the inner Quackity, that one he was until the fall of L'manburg and the very one he still is inside, behind the walls he built every time he lost something or someone. That Quackity who I think [despite all his manipulative talk] genuinely cares about people and is unable to completely shut off his feelings like he would want to.
I could go on, but that's as far as I'm willing to let my hyperfixation spill onto this hellsite, so if anyone is even remotely interested I'm always open to discussion
The Seven Sins of Las Nevadas
| Fundy: Envy | Purpled: Pride | Foolish: Greed | Sam: Wrath | | Slimecicle: Sloth | Schlatt: Gluttony | Quackity: Lust |
Something I worked on for a month on and off because I kept changing and adding stuff, but I'm super satisfied with the final version. My first proper DSMP fanart because the Casino aesthetic pulled me into this hole
