i read this month’s chapter and hoo boy does the hange character development make me sad
#should i be posting about it on my hange blog? maybe#am i too lazy to log into it? yes#it just......there's so much that's really. really sad about their situation#they never wanted to be commander. they don't think they're the right person to be commander#it forces them to make the kinds of decisions they never wanted to have to make#it was easier when all they wanted to do was find the truth#now they've found it and it's a pandora's box full of things they don't know how to contain#now they're the one forced into the position of deciding what to tell and what to withhold and they realize it's not so#black and white as they always wanted it to be#and when's the last time they genuinely smiled? when's the last time they were happy?#but they're still clinging to that motivation of learning to push themself forward#'i'm tired. but there's still more to learn.'#it's the only goal they've ever really devoted themself to and it's the only way they know how to keep going#kind of like erwin with his basement#but they know they're fucking things up. every decision they make weighs on them.#everything they do they think erwin probably could have done better tbh#i have a lot of emotions about this negative character arc ugh#; ooc.#snk spoilers //
