TASK 2: IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER
July 2010.
Luke idly glared at the retreating dark of the dawn. His stomach let out a pathetic growl, or more accurately, a dying squeak. There comes a point in starvation where you can’t even sleep because of the hunger, and Luke was far too familiar with that pang.
The earth beneath his back was stiff and cold like a cadaver, and he could not think of a reason to get up. His head knew he should go look for food, something to eat-- like one of those small rat like creatures he saw in the woods, a fish swimming in the stream, the berries he ate a few days ago that made him threw up all night. Anything. If he couldn’t find anything to eat, he at least needed to get water. But no, his body didn’t want to move.
Luke coughed off a weak laughter, wheezing at this madness. He was stranded in some kind of an island, like that guy Crusoe in the book, with a group of lunatics who were probably in some cult-- something about elements and the First and not aging. As soon as his ankle healed, he slipped out of the camp and made his way to the west edge of the land.
The trouble was, Luke didn’t know a thing about surviving in the nature. He was a city boy through and through. Even when he was without a home, he could have dumpster-dived and scavenged for food in the city. No such option on this godforsaken island. He didn’t know how to hunt or fish, didn’t know what berries are edible or not. He couldn’t even start fire for fuck’s sake.
Perhaps he should have stayed with the cultists, learn a thing or two about the island living. But no, his tendency to isolate himself got to him again, and he would probably die out here.
December 1997.
The night descended on the open road, breathing down the chilled air on his neck. The cold crept up to his blistered feet, seeped into his shivering bones, and he feared that he was marked for life. The ghost of a white breath danced before his eyes before vanishing without a trace. A raggedy backpack, a half-empty water bottle and a few pieces of clothing were all he had.
Empty-handed and alone, yet he had persisted for almost a year on his own. But for how long? He ran out of his saving months ago. He doubted that his family was looking for him-- if they ever bothered to, that is-- but he couldn’t be too careful with the Lopes. He couldn’t live on the streets forever, either. That’s why he was bound westward, to find a better life for himself. Start anew.
No car had passed by for hours, so he had given up any hope of hitchhiking to the closest town, and had started walking. He was under no illusion that he would get anywhere like this. It was just that he had nothing but his own two legs, and walking was all he could do.
He stopped to catch his breath as his bad leg started to ache. “What the fuck...” he said out loud just to remember his own voice. What the fuck am I doing? Since he couldn’t afford a bus ticket, he reasoned his options were either hitchhiking or walking. But this was his only pair of shoes and it had already started to show wear and tear. He didn’t even own a map so he just had a vague idea that he was heading west. He was, absolutely and completely, un-fucking-prepared for this journey.
A shaky sigh escaped from his cold, empty stomach as he dropped his backpack and flopped down next to the empty road. Up above his head was the cruelly brilliant sky full of stars, and the vast wilderness stretched as far as he could see, but his eyes lingered on the cracks of the asphalt. He knew there was nothing for him out there-- no star watched over him, no light guided his path, and no one was coming to save him.
He had nowhere else to turn but himself.
He should feel sad, or scared, but all he could do was laughing at himself. The truth of the matter was, he was far too talented at isolating himself in a self-destructive way. He knew that. He could have easily asked for a help, but he didn’t. He could have picked a safer, less strenuous journey, but he didn’t. He simply didn’t know how to exist any other way.
The stars burned bright above. He just didn’t look up. There were lights in the distance. He just closed his eyes. Maybe, and just maybe, someone was out there waiting for him-- he just refused to believe that. That very thought scared the life out of him. It was so much easier to hide alone in the dark, not found, not missed, not needed and wanted and loved. No one could hurt him if they couldn’t found him.
So how could he not laugh at himself? This was his own fault, no one else’s.
He breathed in the frigid, forlorn air, let it filled his lungs, and got back up to his own two feet. He stretched his creaking legs, cracked his neck, and turned his eyes forward.
He dug himself into this grave and laid himself down. So it was his job to claw his own way out.
May 1995.
[tw: gun, death]
The sun came up nevertheless, even after a sinful night.
Almost everyday, he watched the frozen colors of daybreak painting the sky. Waking up in the morning, on his way to the training or on the track, he had seen it until it became a part of his routine. But until today, he didn’t realize how painstakingly beautiful it was.
A man just died by the hands of another, yet the dawn was terribly radiant.
“You okay there, kid?” asked Pablo as he lit a cigarette. Pablo was a tall guy with the unkempt, bushy beard, and always smelled like a mix of smoke and horribly musky cologne. He was one of Father’s henchmen, the trusted kind.
Leaning against the hood of the car, he fixed his dry eyes on the sunrise without words. He didn’t know how he was, to be honest. He could still taste the last night’s dinner in his throat after throwing it all up. His body was sore and he could use a shower or ten. So no, he wasn’t okay.
They had arrived at this riverbank a few hours ago as three. Now they were only two. ‘Take care of it’. That was Father’s order.
He quietly ran a thumb on his blistered, dirt-covered palm.
-----
“You know how to use this?” Pablo asked, holding out a grip of a loaded gun. They stood over the brand new grave in the field, both of them covered in sweat and dirt. He never liked guns. Having the weight that could end someone’s life in his hands wasn’t exactly pleasant.
And then Pablo dragged out the third man from the trunk of the car. Blindfolded, tied and gagged. Pablo forced them down on them knees. Their bloodied head and shoulders were shaking uncontrollably. They reeked of desperation and piss, squeezing out a muffled, incomprehensible plead.
He unlocked the safety and cocked the gun just like his brother taught him. ‘Man, your aim’s terrible.’ He remembered Leandro’s crooked laughter when he had managed to hit none of the beer bottles set up as practice targets. He brought the gunpoint up to the back of the captive’s skull. The shudder crawled up the barrel and grasped at his hand like barbed vines.
The cry morphed into a terrible howl, held back only by the spit-soaked gag. It begged and begged and begged for mercy, while spewing fear and rage and curse.
And he wondered, do any other animal beg for their life? Do they experience the same primal hatred that burns in your chest, the ashy black smoke of grudge you exhale at the one who holds your noose? Not just the instinct of self-preservation expressed in aggression, but the acute malice humans carry like a venom.
Because he wished he couldn’t understand what was buried underneath the scream.
Please, I’ll do anything.
He wished he couldn’t feel a thing.
I don’t wanna die.
His finger wrapped around that trigger and--
He lowered the gun, only to realize that he was covered in cold sweat. He couldn’t pull it. It wouldn’t take much force to squeeze that trigger. Just a tiny movement of the finger, and the gun would roar, and all this would be over. That was the impossibly thin line he couldn’t cross, the infinitesimal difference between a man and a killer.
He fumbled at the safety, shivering. His hand was locked in place and couldn’t let go of the gun.
“Hey, hey, hey. It’s okay,” said Pablo, approaching him gingerly. A much bigger hand gently peeled his off the gun.
He stumbled backward as his knees gave in. The captive was now sobbing. From relief or panic, he couldn’t tell. But before he could process it, he heard the mechanical click, followed by a gunshot. With his ears ringing, he stared blankly as the headless body fell into the grave with a thud.
-----
“For what it’s worth,” Pablo started, polluting the fresh morning air with his cloud of smoke. “I thought this whole thing was fucked up.”
He didn’t reply, staring at the sunlight shattering against the surface of the murky river. No speck of cloud wandered in the sky above, and it would be the perfect sunny day of May. The air smelled of cigarette and late night rain. Three or so ducks swam about in the water, quacking without a care in the world. No care at all.
“Hey, don’t worry about your father,” Pablo blurted out. “I’m not gonna rat you out.”
“...okay.” He wasn’t particularly worried about Father. He thought whatever would happen would happen. What he didn’t understand was why would Pablo take a risk like that. He was just too tired to question it. “Thanks.”
The weight shifted as Pablo walked over to his side and sat down on the hood of the car. “Want some?” He extended a stick of cigarette.
He stared at the wrinkled packet in Pablo’s big hand, and then back toward the river. “I can’t.”
“What? You’re old enough.”
“No,” he said, “I run tracks. Can’t fuck up my lungs with that cancer sticks.”
“Oh,” Pablo thought for a second before putting out the cigarette. “Sorry.”
“It’s fine.”
Pablo fished out a pack of gum instead. Without asking, the older man handed one over to him. Instead of unwrapping it, he just stared at it in silence. It was mint.
Disgustingly, his empty stomach demanded food with a grumbling. He recognized in a sick sense of detachment, that nothing had changed. The morning still came. The sky didn’t collapse. They could still talk about insignificant things. He still wanted a breakfast. Maybe no red meat, not at least for a few days, but he was still hungry.
And that moment, he realized that absolutely nothing would change if he were to die. The world would continue regardless.
July 2010.
Luke jolted out of his sleep. Groaning, he forced himself to sit up and rubbed his forehead. He couldn’t have been out longer than a few minutes. The sun was still rising toward the east, and the sky was ablaze with cold amber. He rose to his feet and dragged himself toward the western cliff of the island. Might as well watch the sunrise, he thought.
Just when he reached the end of the land, it occurred to him that he should have gone toward the east for the sunrise. His brain must have gone on a hunger strike or something.
Standing by the edge, he looked down into the mouth of the ocean, its jagged teeth and dark depth. That’s a long way down, he thought. The ocean collided into the land and shattered, crying out in the cacophony of waves. The light was yet to reach this side of the world, but gradually and surely, the boundless firmament was waking up. From the fading darkness emerged thin whisks of clouds. He sat down by the cliff, and aimlessly watched the clouds traveling westward, toward the horizon and beyond.
Even on this god-knows-where island, the world was as always infuriatingly and unabashedly beautiful. It taunted him, a tiny, meaningless blob of existence compared to its marvel, that it didn’t give a damn.
“Fuck my life,” he sighed to himself, laying back down and promptly finding the cliff to be the worst place to lie down. More clouds rushed by him toward the ocean, carried by the salty, lukewarm wind.
Death didn’t scare him-- not in the way it should, anyway. He knew it didn’t matter if he died here or not. He could starve himself to death, eat a poisonous berry, get eaten by a... whatever the fuck that lived in the Jungle, or jump off the cliff-- and the world would not care.
It’s just that, to him, death felt like admitting defeat.
Luke shot his final glare at the audaciously bright sky. He survived his family. He survived the streets-- hell, he was thrown into the ocean with bricks tied to his leg, and that didn’t kill him. Surely, it would take more than an island away from the civilization (and with possible cultists) to kill him.
So he got back up to his feet, as he always did, ready for another day of hunger.

The revenge of the hero and godness
Chapter 1: From the Depths of the Abyss
Nothingness.
Darkness.
Everything around me revolved around that.
I tried to see something in this infinite space, but it was useless. Absolutely everything was darkness, I couldn't even see my body.
I remembered what Sucellus said before he killed me.
-So... this is nothingness... The very darkness of nothingness," I said trying to see something else than darkness.
This godforsaken place. This place that no mortal would want to be, once I die. It is in this place, where my soul was. In the very darkness...
I remembered everything that happened to me when I was alive. All the sorrows I went through. All the tortures they made me suffer. All that pain I lived...I was simply used as a tool...Just remembering it...I laugh at myself...In trusting those demons that pretended to be human.
-Hahaha. I was really stupid. Why didn't I realize their true intentions?
I started laughing.
-It's true! I promised them that I would take revenge on each one of them. And that's what I'm going to do...I will leave this place and I will take revenge on them until I feel satisfied. No one will stop my massacre! They will all fall! The empire! The gods! I'll make them pay! I'm definitely getting out of here!
As I spoke my delusions of vengeance, a voice from the darkness itself spoke.
You say you will take revenge on everyone, hero Elliot," said that somber voice.
I looked for the origin of that voice, but I did not find it.
I'm talking to you, Elliot Blake," said that voice, making the darkness itself rumble.
That name... I had not heard it since I was reincarnated in that world. Apparently, "that voice" knows things about me.
-Who are you? Or rather, what are you?
Haha. You're smart for a mere human," said the voice, "I am the darkness. The lord of all this infinite space.
I understood that I was in the presence of Darkness.
And tell me, Elliot Blake, what is it that you desire," said the Darkness.
-And how do you know my real name," I said, "The only person who knows my real name is dead. So how do you know it?
Fufufufufu..." he said as a thick fog took on a certain humanoid form.
I AM THE DARKNESS...I KNOW EVERYTHING...I SEE EVERYTHING...NO ONE CAN ESCAPE FROM ME...-he said with a sound from beyond the grave.
Seeing that humanoid form looking at me, I could feel an overwhelming power emanating from him. A power capable of consuming everything....
I will only repeat it one more time, Elliot Blake...What is it that you long to do more than anything else," he said in a commanding tone.
That question...My answer won't change....
-Revenge," I said, "Revenge so bloody that it will shake the foundations of the whole world!
In the midst of that dense dark fog, I could see a macabre smile on his face.
“JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA!” he said.
Is that what you long for the most, Elliot Blake?...- said the Darkness.
-Yes!" I answered immediately.
With that answer, the Darkness began to laugh sinisterly.
If that is what you wish, then I will help you to accomplish it...But...-he said showing me a sinister laugh.-There is a price to pay if you want my help, Elliot Blake.
-A price, eh?" I told him indifferently, "You know the only thing I have is my soul, and yet you ask?
Hahahaha...Even dead, you still amuse me, Elliot Blake," said the Darkness, "You're right...So, I'll change the question...Would you trade your soul for your revenge?
-My soul, huh?" I said.
It was the only thing I had to offer in exchange. But, if I gave my soul, the darkness would take over me and there would be no turning back. I would be eaten away by all the pure evil that emanated from me. .... I could no longer go to the sacred fields of souls to rest....My mother and my sisters are there...waiting for me...Would I abandon them for my desire for revenge?.....
Yes! I promised I would make those filthy bastards pay! And I will! I won't rest until they suffer enough to quench my bloodlust! I will make them pay!
I'm sorry....mother, sisters.... I can't be with you anymore...I have to do it...I have to get rid of those feelings that hinder my path of revenge..... This is goodbye.....-I thought before giving my answer.
-Do you need to ask," I said as I laughed from ear to ear.
A malevolent laugh rang throughout the place.
Suddenly, he stood in front of me.
I was right to choose you, Elliot Blake," said the Darkness, "There will be no turning back, mortal," he said trying to find some doubt in me.
-I already gave up my humanity when what I loved most in this world was taken from me. Now..." I told him seriously, "I only wish for revenge," I said, leaving behind the last vestige of humanity I had.
-I already abandoned my humanity when they took from me what I loved most in this world. Now..." I said seriously, "I only want revenge," I said, leaving behind the last vestige of humanity I had.
In an instant, a dark mist began to envelop me. All the evils of the world began to be engraved in my soul. Genocides, Wars, Exterminations, Plagues, Famine; everything that man committed at the cost of the life of others. The pure evil of the human being was shown to me. From the emperor to the simple commoner, I was shown all their sins.
In that instant, the fog dissipated and I appeared with my body, built with the dark essence.
And what did it look like to see what humans really are, Elliot Blake," said the Darkness mockingly.
-Yes, I was a complete imbecile in not realizing this," I told him.
Darkness, at my answer, laughed.
Not realizing what, Elliot Blake," he said mockingly. Reminding me of how incredulous I was in my previous life.
-Of how filthy and disgusting humans are," I said, "Their very existence is repugnant to the universe.
Darkness grinned from ear to ear.
-And besides..." I said while laughing sadistically, "I told you I would take revenge on them! I can't keep them waiting, can I?
Hahahahaha, that's right, Elliot Blake," he said, "Your desire for revenge is sure to amuse me," said the Darkness.
-Of that you can be sure," I said, "I'm going to have a lot of fun with them, to my heart's content!
Now, you have at your disposal the infinite and absolute power of darkness," he said, "Endless possibilities to play with them to your heart's content, Elliot Blake," said the Darkness, showing me his eagerness for me to begin my path of vengeance, while he opened a portal.
Enter the portal, Elliot Blake," he said, "You don't want to keep them waiting," said the Darkness with a macabre laugh.
I approached the portal.
-By the way, do you know anything about the goddess Dea," I said.
At my question, the Darkness simply smiled.
She will be there to help you on your path of vengeance, Elliot Blake," he said, "You just have to "reveal" the truth to her," said the Darkness with a sadistic smile.
At this, I began to laugh, and then entered the portal.
As I entered the portal, I began to fall.
As I fell, I remembered the faces of those traitors...Their laughter and mockery echoed in my mind....I know they had a great time with my death....But...it's so unfair that they're the only ones having all the fun, right?...So....it's my turn to give them the best fun of all and I'll use the world as my main stage. ...An unprecedented feast will be taking place on earth and you will be the main characters!...And your host will be me in person....I have a lot of games prepared just for you........Look forward to it....Because I....Will bring you the best fun of all!......
Realizing how close I was to the light, I licked my lips in anticipation of seeing their faces as they saw me again....
-Let's have fun," I said before stepping into the light.
In the emptiness, minutes after the hero Elliot left...
-W-where am I?" I said, trying to look around me.
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Not a living being was in this place cursed by the gods.
Darkness, that's all there is here.
-So I ended up in this cursed place," I said, "Why did I end up like this," I said, regretting it.
-Why? What have I done wrong? I was a good wife, a good mother. I gave my best as a goddess, still..." I said as tears flowed.
I wept bitterly. This deep pain and sadness I felt was gnawing at me. I tried to look for a reason why I made this dirty, but only more tears began to flow from me.
-Why?" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
But it was no use. No one could hear me. No one was there to console me for my misfortune.
There was only me. Me in this dreary and desolate place abandoned by the grace of the gods.
Why is the queen of the gods here, in this cursed place," said a voice that made the place rumble.
Quickly, I wiped away my tears.
-Who are you," I said trying to confront him.
There is no need for such aggressiveness, Queen of the gods," said that voice, "Or...should I say...fallen goddess Dea?
-How do you know my name," I said.
Hahahahaha, you do have things in common with the other one," said the voice.
-The other one? I asked.
Don't worry about the details," said the voice.
At that moment, a black cloud began to emerge and slowly began to take shape.
-What are you," I said with some trepidation.
At that instant, the cloud took human form and stood in front of me.
I AM THE DARKNESS...THE OWNER OF ALL THIS INFINITE SPACE...I AM ME," said that voice, imposing its power.
Those words took my breath away.
-T-the darkness? T-that's impossible," I said, "We defeated you in the Great War. We eliminated you from this world.
JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA. . . - said that voice. -Do you TRULY believe THAT BEINGS AS INFERIOR AS YOU CAN OVER ME? ME, THE LORD OF THE Eternal ABISM?!- said that voice impetuously.
At these words, I was frightened.
-B-b-but it is impossible for you to be alive. We destroyed you...
ACCEPT IT AT ONCE, FALLEN GODDESS," said that voice, "I EXIST!
Undoubtedly, I was in the presence of Darkness.
Well, fallen goddess. Since you have accepted... I will ask you again," said the Darkness, "Why are you in my domain?
-...-
Even when I show kindness..." said the Darkness, placing his hand on my neck, "Won't you answer," he said, choking me.
I tried to move but his presence alone made my body unresponsive.
This is not the world where you ruled with authority. This is my domain and I can do anything with you, fallen goddess," said the Darkness threateningly, "so I recommend you answer me.
With a superior gesture, she let go of my neck.
I will not ask you again, stupid goddess," said the Darkness, "Will you answer me or not," he said pointing a sword at me.
That sword was similar to Haliopexius, but it emanated a much greater power. A power capable of destroying worlds....
-I was... betrayed..." I whispered.
What? I couldn't hear you, stupid goddess..." said the Darkness, "Speak louder...".
I knew she was mocking me, but...there was nothing I could do...I no longer had my divine powers.
Hey, Dea..." said the Darkness, pointing his sword at me, "Don't make me repeat myself.
-I was pulled," I shouted.
There was a silence, but instantly a laugh was heard all over the place.
Hahahahahahahahahaha," laughed Darkness, "You, Dea; the queen of the gods, the beloved of the humans, betrayed," he said as he laughed.
Anger and rage was what I was feeling from that laughter.
You shouldn't be angry with me, Dea," said that dark being, "Well, I didn't do those evils to you, but..." he said, leaving a pause that made me impatient, "I know who did it," he said.
That comment surprised me.
-How is it that you..." I said.
Before I knew it, that evil being was in front of me.
BECAUSE I AM THE DARKNESS...I KNOW EVERYTHING...I SEE EVERYTHING...NO ONE CAN ESCAPE FROM ME...-he said imperiously.
Seeing him in front of me, I knew that those words he said were not in vain. He emanated a sinisterly powerful aura compared to the aura emanating from the gods.
At this, I simply bowed my head.
I see you understood, fallen goddess," said the Darkness, "Now...you wonder how I know, don't you?
I looked at him, confirming my answer.
I was always present, Dea. Since the end of the Great War, I was watching you; from every corner of the universe, I saw how you created and gave life to those disgusting beings," said Darkness showing his contempt, "until I saw..." he said with a smile, "how your own creations betrayed you... simply... because they saw that you no longer had a chance against them..." he said as he lifted my chin to see him, "they left you at the mercy of those gods..." With those words, he said as he lifted my chin to see him, "they left you at the mercy of those gods...".
With those words that said nothing but the truth and with a cold expression in his eyes, I lowered my head and started to cry in front of him.
I cried, because I knew it was all true. Even when I would give my life for the humans, they did not protect me from the divine wrath...Even when I helped them to prosper as a species...they turned their backs on me...Leaving me completely alone and weak in front of the wrath of the gods....
It was so unfair everything that happened to me.....
You think this was unfair, don't you Dea," said the Darkness lifting my head so I could see it.
After you helped those humans in every possible way... In the end, they abandoned you... They didn't offer you their hand when you needed it the most... Even though you would do it for them..." he said, looking me in the eyes.
-Yes," I whispered.
What? I couldn't hear you, Dea..." he said, smiling at me.
-Yes! All this is unfair! After I did everything for them...! They turned their backs on me! They abandoned me! Me, their protector! The one who would give her own life for them! They didn't intercede for all this injustice! ....... WHY? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!-
At this, he just looked at me; appreciating the pain I felt for them.
-Why...*sniff* *sniff*...didn't they help me when I needed them the most...? Why...? *sniff* *sniff*...I didn't deserve this...I didn't deserve this...-I said sobbingly.
He, hearing that, lifted my face.
Do you know why, Dea," said the Darkness taking the form of the hero Elliot, "Because humans are pure scum?
-¡...!-
That's right, Dea. Those humans are more than parasites that are infesting your world, Dea," said the man I consider my equal. The beautiful world that you created with so much effort is being destroyed by those humans...those beings that you protected and helped so much...those beings that betrayed you and turned their back on you...those beings...do you think they deserve your protection?...said the dark hero while he lifted my chin with the intention of kissing me...do you think they deserve your compassion? your forgiveness?...your love?...said the hero with his lips close to mine?
-No, Elliot...They don't deserve my love...my compassion...my forgiveness...But...You do, Elliot," I said as I touched his face softly, "You deserve everything from me...You deserve everything from me...".
At these words, that dark hero hugged me tightly and gave me a passionate and intense kiss. Faced with this action, I reciprocated.
At that moment, a dark cloud enveloped us.
-If you offer me all of yourself, Dea," said the man who captivated me from the moment I summoned him, "I will do the same. My whole being will be yours. Absolutely everything.
At that moment, a sinister dark aura emanating from him was permeating me.
-That's it, Dea. I will show you what those beings you loved so much are really like.
As I stopped speaking, all the events that mankind made in my world appeared in my mind... Massacres, wars, genocides, famines, ...All the evil that had been eradicated in the Great War...All that pure evil permeated inside the soul of man until it completely corrupted them...Without realizing it...I was helping them to do more evil in my world...I was feeding those demons who betrayed me....
-You see, Dea? That's what they really are," he said, smiling at me.
At this truth revealed, I laughed out loud.
-I see that you got it, Dea.
-That's right, Elliot. Those humans...No...Those inferior beings...They are just insectless creatures that must be exterminated! Purged from my world!
That hero that I offered him all of me started to show me such a Machiavellian smile that I simply caught it.
-That's the attitude, Dea! We'll purge this world! Together we'll walk through the sea of bodies we'll leave in our wake!
-There will be no mercy! I will show no mercy to those filthy parasites! They will know hell on earth! There will be no escape from this massacre! -I said euphorically.
Between the laughter and delirium I was saying, he grabbed me by the hand and pulled me closer to his face. Towards that beautiful face...
-If we are going to start this bloody slaughter, we must make you a total change," he said as a dark mist came out of his hand.
That mist enveloped me, giving me a new form.
A long-tailed dress that; adorned with black roses and black feathers in the pattern, contrasted with a long and dark jet hair, which marked the change of my soul. In the front part of the dress, I was covered from the feet to the part of my breasts with a thin fabric; elaborated from the deep of the dark abyss, it covered the most outstanding parts. At the top of the chest, the dress sloped to the right end of my shoulder, leaving my left shoulder bare. However, a scarlet red fabric adorned the edges of that space. Finally, a ruby-colored rose emerged at the top of my right ear, tucked inside my horse, so that, to the naked eye, it was part of me.
-Beautiful. Genuinely beautiful," said my beloved Elliot with a smile, "With this, you are now fully ready, Dea.
Dea...That's my name...That...name...The goddess who was brought by humans and gods...Dea....... just hearing it...Makes me sick...
-No, Elliot. I will no longer be Dea, the goddess of light and creation...-I said.-Now...-with a sadistic smile on my face.-I am Morrigan, the goddess of death and destruction.-I am Morrigan, the goddess of death and destruction.
Faced with the birth of a new being, the dark hero laughed.
-Wonderful..." said the one to whom I gave my entire being as he looked me in the eyes, "That's what I wanted to hear. Now...-with his lips close to mine.-Let's slaughter everyone.
-Yes... There will be no one left..." I said, slowly approaching his lips.
Ecstasy and pleasure invaded my mind every second that this passionate kiss lasted. I felt as if I was drinking an extremely addictive liquid.
However, that act did not last long.
With our lips parted; leaving a thin and fine saliva connecting us, the dark hero put his hands on my shoulders, looking at me and vanished.
Did you like that gift...Morrigan?" said the absolute master of this abyss.
Those words that emanated power... Just by hearing it, I can feel an inexplicable power...
-Yes. Definitely yes," I said, licking my lips.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Well Morrigan," said Darkness, "I don't need to guess what you're going to do, do I?
-It's more than clear," I said, grinning from ear to ear, "An exquisite and juicy revenge, an endless feast of blood!
The Darkness laughed at my answer, echoing throughout this infinite space. He made a portal appear in front of me.
Enter the portal, Morrigan," he said, "You don't want to keep them waiting," said the dark being with a smile worthy of pure evil.
At the sight of that portal; of dark depth, a sensation ran through my body. That feeling of ..... Bloodlust! ....
However, a doubt emerged before I entered the portal.
-By the way, where is Elliot?
Oh...I see you noticed, huh," said the dark being, "Don't worry about him," he said with some disdain, "He's already in your world...Waiting for you....".
Hearing that, I approached the portal to enter it.
It is true, Morrigan..." said the Darkness, "I have a little secret to tell you," he said, taking the form of a fallen angel, approaching my ear.
Hearing this, I began to laugh loudly, to which he put on a sadistic smile.
-Now it all makes sense," I said with an evil grin.
And I stepped into the doorway.
As I fell, a smile came across my face. A macabre smile edged over my mouth as I listened to that secret that the Darkness told me.
If only they would listen to that, those stupid gods.... Their world would be shattered into a thousand pieces. They would be plunged into a deep and agonizing despair that would beg for it to be a lie....... What faces would they make when they heard it?! Just imagine it....!
Those gods....just making them suffer won't be enough to satisfy me...With that in my power, I will make them feel true despair...I will make them agonize so much that they will beg for me to kill them...But....That wouldn't be fun at all....Of course not......I have many ways to play with them.....
Noticing a light approaching, I licked my lips savoring all the fun we would have. All that bloody, cruel fun that would make the heavens and earth tremble!....
-Let's have some fun!-I said before stepping into that light.
