the problem with dead boy detectives fanfiction, i'm discovering, is much the same as the problem with marauders fanfiction, which is that americans do not know how to write british characters at ALL. He Would Not Fucking Say That 👍

#it's terrible too because charles and edwin both have very distinct ways of speaking #which are VERY difficult to get right. apparently #edwin is always wayyy too formal #and they make charles go way overboard on his whole slang cockney deal #he doesn't say brills or aces in every sentence... and he does not say mate or oi that often either for the love of god #also the nickname 'eds' continues to be my worst enemy #buck buckley would not call eddie diaz eds and charles rowland would not call edwin payne eds. end of story fr
