#it's such a gross misunderstanding of her character to reduce her to just 'the healer'

nothing genuinely makes me angrier than seeing iterations of katara where they've just taken away her anger and her fighting spirit. It aggravates me so much because like how can you even say that's katara anymore when you've taken away something that's literally pivotal to her character??? like girl that is NOT katara anymore.

like katara would not be the character that she is if she wasn't always so angry all of the time; if she wasn't always so driven to do the right thing, to fight against injustices and to right wrongs and help people who were oppressed or couldn't help themselves.

she was NOT perfect, not by a long shot; she messed up sm times, she was rash and irrational, she had a short temper and let her emotions get the better of her at times but that's okay because that's what makes her a complex and interesting character and IT FUCKING SUCKS THAT THERE'S SM VERSIONS OF KATARA AFTER THE OG SHOW THAT JUST STRIPPED THAT AWAY FROM HER.

just justice for katara man like she deserves more love.
