So, what's the verdict on TonksxRemus? I am okay with it, but it's not something i've ever really shipped since it kind of just came out of nowhere and personally i think it was only made to quell rumors that Remus was gay and the people who compared his Lycanthropy to aids. (Yes, that was a actual theory that is was a metaphor for an STD) Also, let's face it. Tonks could do way better and in my opinion deserves a cute girlfriend.

Wolfstar shippers are pissed off that their ship isn’t canon and go around saying shit like “it was forced,” “Remus didn’t love Tonks,” “it came out of nowhere,” etc etc.

But not everyone who dislikes (or just doesn’t like) Remadora ships Wolfstar. I’ve never seen someone who isn’t a Wolfstar shipper hate Remadora; I’ve only met the ones that just dislike the ship or don’t care about it. And, from what I’ve seen, people who dislike Remadora dislike it because they think Dora deserves better (which I actually agree with) or that it “came out of nowhere.”

If we’re going by the books and the books only, then… sure, I guess. You could say that.

But, you have to remember the timeline and when everything happened. Voldemort returned at the end of GoF. Tonks joined the Order, was introduced, and met Remus in OoTP, before that how would they have even met?

Many claim that they should’ve been a couple earlier, but boy would that have been a million times worse. She would have been 21 in GoF and 20 in PoA, and you guys already call 23 year old Tonks and 36 year old Remus getting together “creepy” and “weird.”

I think it’s worth mentioning that Remus and Dora were already on a first name basis in OoTP (“And this is Nymphadora —” “Don’t call me Nymphadora, Remus,”).

BUTTTTTT, if we’re going by Pottermore, then you’re wrong. There was buildup for their relationship:

Remus, so often melancholy and lonely, was first amused, then impressed, then seriously smitten by the young witch. He had never fallen in love before.

[…]

“You’d know perfectly well who I’ve fallen for, if you weren’t too busy feeling sorry for yourself to notice.”

But, as I’ve already stated, if we’re going by the books, then yeah I guess you could say that.

Rowling gave an award (or idk something like that) to a Sirius Black fanfic site which mostly consisted of Wolfstar fics, so I’m pretty damn sure she didn’t have a problem with Remus being gay (or bi) or with Wolfstar.

Dude.. you do realise Rowling herself made that comparison? She straight up stated that she made being a werewolf an allegory to AIDS/HIV. Get your facts straight, anon.
