sometimes fixing canon is a major renovation and sometimes it’s a little patch and paint job. like some tiny thing that bugs you and changing it would cause no structural damage to the narrative or change subsequent episodes, so you can just stick a little spackle in the nail hole between scenes and move on. but also it's extremely important and the only way you can personally know peace.

#this is about how the only reason that anyone is arguing over who will be baby torres-paris's godfather in lineage #is because harry has already been tapped as godmother #it's some in-joke between him and tom and b'elanna doesn't want to know any more about it #harry's the godmother. that was taken care of during the opening credits.#just stick some toothpaste in that plot hole with a plastic knife and continue with the episode
