What's with all the tornados in southern New England this summer? I was under a tornado warning yesterday with a storm that spawned FOUR tornados (including EF 2). Adding these 4 tornados to the previous 4 we've had in Massachusetts this summer put us at 8. This is bizarre. We usually get 2 tornados a year. And they're usually EF 0s. What is going on?
Although, now that I think about it the bizarre weather / natural disasters have occurred all over the US this summer. Vermont was hit with biblical flooding. Hawaii was hit with apocalyptic wildfires. The southwest is dealing with record-breaking heat. There's a Category 4 Hurricane/Tropical Storm heading toward southern California. Is this all just climate change? Probably.
Drew the og 4 again, I still really love the originals that helped skyrocket everything.
Biotape Bestiary information below.
So I am in the process of making a little project I'm calling the "Biotape Bestiary". Which will be an informative digital booklet of slides containing simple information and coloured drawings of all the Biotape monsters. That way people can see them coloured, and get minimal information on each creature if they didn't or are unable to listen to the pearl they originated from.
The panels would also contain tidbit addendums as well; small pieces of lore that MOTH didn't explain because he either would've not cared to mention it, or I just wanted to add something funny.
Stuff like how the Pulse Lizards only listened to MOTH because they thought since he had the biggest antenna; he was in charge. Or how Hellion and Symbiote are his only confirmed female slugcats.
It'll all go in order of appearance, from Hellion to Otiopathys. Because bad news bears... the Celadon pearl had the last batch of fusions, what I'm going to be covering next is something that'll likely take me a very long time... and learning new skills again. So I'll be doing this in the meantime. <3
Not feeling well so I’m making characters not feel well either
Spearmaster designed to be the ideal messenger, never really dealt with the average illnesses other creatures did. Until it constantly hung around the group and finally caught its first flu. Body does NOT know how to deal
i had SUCH a blast studying wyvern wings for this critter, i definitely still need to work on them a bit but some sketches from last night regardless!!!
will it ever be enough? when someone loves you, you feel something curl inside of you, sour and whiplike, angry at being unheard. they don't really love you, they love this facsimile you have ensconced in your rabbit body. they will chop up the bits of you looking for luck and never find the good soul you promise - their love slides off. you're viscera; you have spent a lifetime promising the blood is art.
oh but when someone hates you - well, they're right to. and you'd trip over your little grassknot legs for them. begging them to reconsider. you feel it all knifeedge, spinepoint straight through you. they're the ones who see the real you, after all; and if they can love you, you might finally feel worth something.
but if they do love you in the end, after all of that, after your heart like a fawn opens to gutter under them - you've fooled them, and it isn't worth anything anymore. they've just gone and fallen for it. the love slides right off.
once, you heard a line in a musical about being abandoned. you laughed at the time, unnerved. your voice a keen; too shaky to be candid.
will it ever be enough. will the love ever diffuse through your skin and sink into your marrow. are you even capable of feeling that - of feeling cared for - or are you still waiting, even right now, for the hunter to draw the bow and arrow. if you trust that love, even once, and are wrong, you know exactly what will happen.
and somehow you know - you'll never be able to fix that, once it's been broken.
I wanted to draw some of my favorite fan iterators for a long time now, but I didn't have enough strength (that's why I didn't post anything for so long) to draw each one separately, so... I decided to draw everyone together _x)
The Common Clover, Smooth Sumac, and various succulents and cacti my dogs photobombed.
The Smooth Sumac is one one of the most vibrant, fall colored shrubs I have ever seen. In a sea of brown and green it is a mini sunset bursting to life.
