it's just that solo leveling is a power fantasy action story which is FINE it's fine it's Fun and orv gets a bit lost in the sauce for me so i stopped reading for now and whatever trash count is Fun bc the main character is so unimpressed by everything yeah it's all fine and good and we're having a good time reading it but the thing is! that sss-class revival hunter made me feel genuine human emotions! and made me think about myself and how i view the world more and just, has shit to say u know? idk. it's got a bit more emotion than the other popular ones i've read.

it doesnt even need homoerotic tension between the protagonist and the og male lead bc there isnt one we're doing it ourselves boys! we're fixing the world we're making people happy we're being KIND

(and that's what it is it's a story about being kind, exactly what i liked so much about demon slayer that despite everything, being kind is still important.)

idk all i'm saying is that if you want to break into the action genre ok maybe actually do that with solo leveling or orv because your standards will be Ruined if you start with sss-class revival hunter i know Mine are. also big tw for suicide bc that's literally his problem solving method
