roomie and watched the new descendants movie and they really just wrote like 80% of a movie and then stopped huh
#it's like they got writer's block at the climax and went 'uhhh dance party scene here'#and then didn't go back#well okay my bet is on execs were like 'what if we split into two movies' late in the process#and they had to cram in an awkward cliffhanger#cliffhanger is generous bc like#usually cliffhangers have hooks and not someone turning to stare at the camera and go 'CLIFFHANGER GOES HERE'#it's like the narrative equivalent of cockblocking
