we need a corollary to hanlon's razor for like, never attribute to malice what can be explained by demographic data
#i saw a post today that was like. basically concludes that most depictions of 'it's okay not to transition' center people afab#because of a discomfort with masculinity represented by the transitioned transmasc or the untransitioned transfem#and it's like. fair point about the transmisogyny. but you've kind of missed a step here of context#these posts and art that you're seeing are a response to issues Within the transmasc community ie aggressive virulent transmedicalism#they aren't intentionally exclusive but they're not made For everyone because they're about a community issue#like OBVIOUSLY there is also transmedicalism and bigotry in the transfem community!#but it's like. if you see posts responding to the racism in gay men's spaces and say well racism is a problem in lesbian spaces too#why haven't you talked about lesbians when this is also our issue? it must be because of underlying misogyny#yes there is a misogyny problem among gay men. but that has nothing to do with the fact that This person is talking about Their community.#that like. you aren't in?#it's like dickhead behavior to act like every post needs to include every permutation of the issue#when mostly people are just talking about their own experiences
