it’s kind of neat to reflect on because in hindsight i entirely understand why i thought i might have autism because i just have that intersection between sensory processing issues, BPD, and unexplained cognitive issues, but it’s interesting to see where that intersection doesn’t cover and how much that explains specifically.
#a lot of people have always thought i had autism and it's like#well i'm definitely neurodivergent my childhood alone is representative of that#but i think the vast majority of this other stuff doesn't actually line up and i just didn't realize#but yeah! kind of interesting#it's also helped me like. understand other autistic people better so that's cool#more awareness etc#and i appreciate the transparency of this website to include negative reviews of the scale#it's interesting from a psychometric perspective

are there any important npcs in your oc's life? what are they like?
ORIGINAL CHARACTER QUESTIONS& HEADCANONS: * collection #1
X'Ma - X'Ma was a Verpine Jedi Healer who at some point after becoming a Knight was called to help a by a natural disaster destroyed community on a Outer Rim world. The catastrophe was a lot of more devasting than she had been informed and after months of beeing on the planet the population turned to canibalism and X'ma and only one other of her Jedi-Healer group were able to flee. After years of redrawing, X'Ma eventually figured that all problems in the Galaxy came from hunger (For food, for more riches etc) and that she was able to at least help with the Hunger for Food and joined the AgriCorps. When Ziv was send to the AGriCorps, she was specifically send to learn under X'Ma, so her Force-Healing-abilities could grow. X'Ma was therefor Zivs Master in the AgriCorps and teached a group of Adepts. She was also the person on whichs example Ziv decided that she wanted to present specifically feminine. She was murdered during Order 66. Ziv refers to X'Ma often as "old bug" since X'mas petname for her group of Adepts was "my little grubs".
Malkhaz- Malkhaz is a Kiffar with psychometric abilities, who had been send to the AgriCorps at the start of the Clone Wars. He was Zivs best friend in the AgriCorps and boyfriend only for them eventually realizing that they were better of as friends. Zivs earring is a gift from him. Depending on the Plot when a antagonist is needed, Malkhaz is a inquisitor. Ziv regulary remembers him as "a sweet boy".
Malaarrii- is a Wookie artist who worked for the same Crimelord as Ziv did shortly after she became the Murakamis Warden. When Ziv took the Murakami with her she figured she would need to be able to fight against Lightsabers and joined the service of a Crimelord as a personal Doctor in exchange for a cortosis vembrace. She thought she would pay off her debt to the crimelord, but obviously she had not yet grasped the fact that she wold never be able to pay off her debt as long as she was useful for the crimelord. Malaarrii was a woodcarver and since Ziv could understand his langauge they often sat together. As Malaarriis favorite pastime was carving childrentoys and Ziv as a midwife was earning money on the side working woth new parents, they bounded overtheir interest together and Malaarrii was the first time Ziv actually fell in Love. After around two years Ziv eventually figured that she would never be able to pay off her debt and Malaarrii helped her escape out of the crimelords grasp. They still love eachother dearly but had ahd no contact since that time. Ziv still unknowingly looks for features and personalitytraits in other people and people she is romantically attracted all have in some way some similatritys to Malaarrii.
Joon -Joon is a Rhodian Force-Sensetive who was a member of Zivs Youngling Clan and with that was essentially Zivs brother in the manner that they grew up together since they were laying in the Crib and therefor knew eachother inside and out . He survived the purge and became a Bounty Hunter. And he utterly hates Ziv. For a complete understandable reason from his perspective, but anyway: The members of the different Hawkbat Clans are known to be creative, caring, determinated and very intelligent and have the potential to be mischievous, if not even very cunning just as the animal Hawkbats who are considered to be elegant animals but also a animal on whichs bad sides one should never end up. In a group the animals were strong and could take down any prey. They adjusted to the life on planets like corouscant through intelligence and teamwork and became the symbol of many pirate-groups due to their slyness and ableness to adjust to their changing enviorment (Like hawkbats adjusted in Legends to the new biological components on Coruscant after the Yuuzhan Vong War). The animals personality features are very good features to have in a personality as learning children, especially the social side of it, but also give birth to very colourful characters in adults- Like Ziv is one obviously, who is with her intelligence, willingness to serve the community (or flock if one wants to stay in Hawkbat terms) and determination that often grows into cunningness a typical personality found in a Hawkbat Clan. The task of growing up in such a Clan is to balance those features- to make sure that ones determination does not grow into obstinacy, to make sure that ones caring nature does not grow into giving oneself up for others, to make sure ones creativeness and mischief does not grow into cruelness. Joon struggled with this balance- in fact, he failed. Just as Ziv would numerouse timesduring her life. He was determinated to become a Jedi Knight and would not allowe that his Clans preformances slowed him down. If he would have worked with the other children, that would have been fine, yet his determination turned into cruelness because there was on eof the children who always lacked behind, especially in Lightsaber Practice. The children of the Clan decided as a group that this child should be taken on easily and train with the younger chlidren of another clan who were on their level, but Joon would not join in this decision and always pick out this child a sparring-partner to essentially beat that child down into a bloody mush everyday over and over and over again. The children of the Hawkbat Clan took Joon to th side and told him to go easy on their sibling, Joon promised and said that all he was thinking of was the education of the clan. Then he again picked on that child, picked them as a sparring partner and again beat them to a bloody mush. This went on for weeks until Ziv decided it was enough and one night while everyone was sleeping she went over to Joons bed, pinnend him down into the sleepingmath with her weight and remainded him that she has very sharp claws and very sharp teeth, that she was sleeping every night right next to him and especially:That her mind could not be read. To make her point she burried her teeth in the boys throat and left permanent scars that damaged the boys vocal Chords or the rest of his life.Joon left the other child alone after that and redrew from the other children and while he never snitched on Ziv, she was eventually months later send to the AgriCorps. So while her mind could not be read there were probably catched flickers of this episode in Joons mind by older Masters in the Temple. Joon can be used as a occaisonal antagonist in theards and his relationship with Ziv is obviously complicated: They are siblings they grew up like siblings, thy love eachother like siblings and they are for eachother the only thing left of the Hawkbatclan but they also hate eachothers guts.
Thore Wotans - Thore is one of the Imps Ziv used for intel. He originally joined the empire to protect himself and his family from histilitys as he as a Kiffar and with that "only" a Near-human was for the empire not human enough. They lived together for a little over a year in the starharbour on which Thore was stationed only for Thore to be seen as unimportant enough to not be evacuated by the empire when the starharbour was used as a testfield for the Blackwing virus to nuke out the rebelcell stationed there. WHich obvious was there because Ziv was part of it. Thore and Ziv evntually managed to flee the starharbour but as it obviously was revealed that Ziv had constantly used Thore for intel and drugged him with avabush they broke appart. A year later Thore joined the rebellion. Ziv and Thore became friendly after a longer time and eventually occaisonal lovers, but they never reconected again for the obvious reason that the trust was gone. There is still love, but no trust. Thore is the Father of Ullr and Thrud, however he has no idea that he is a biological miracle who managed to concieve crosspecies since him and Ziv had had no contact after Endor.
Sos - A whipid prostitue in whichs Borthel Ziv worked as a midwife and medic. The Borthel, located in a big starharbour and therefor often visited by Imps on shoreleave which among other people Sos used to get Intel for the Rebellion. Ziv and Sos had a short affair, which lead to her intreducing Ziv to Saltbite and with that to the Rebellion.
Deep Current Squad, but especially Óss Saltbite and Ár Southriver- Since Ziv is named after Sif, the Deep Current Members are all named after runes in the Elder and Younger Futhark in some connection to Sif. With Óss (Wotan, Odin, inspiration, Wisdom) and Ár (plenty, bounty of Frey, good harvest), beeing examples. Saltbite obviously had been the one who had been contactd by Sos when Ziv joined the Rebellion and he is also the only one who knows about Zivs Jedi Background. This secret makes them closer, but also they are more distantly in thir personalitys because Saltbite is the oldest of the Group and really has not the nerve to deal with Zivs antics that happen because Ziv had not been socialized by Tynnan and also loves messing with people.Ár and Ziv mostly ended up often sitting together because Ár needed estrogenshots and Ziv as a medic was the one giving them to her. Accordingly after a long time they ended up beeing friends with Ziv even beeing the midwife when Árs mates had litters. This friendship was eventually shaken up a bit after ZIvs Jedi-background became known to the other members of Deep Current but they eventually reconnected again. In the Sequel verse in which Ziv had been frozen in carbonite, Ár is the one who took care of Zivs Daughters when she vanished.
Thrud and Ullr: Zivs twindaughters, that had till now not played a big role in any theard. They are Endor-babys, and eventually more of an epilogue aspect of her story and a reason why she redrew from the rebellion. Thrud and Ullr are forcesensetive, though they never joined Lukes school. Thrud becomes a Doctor and Ullr uses her forcesensetivity for little crimes.
The Murakami Orchid- For someone who had influenced Zivs life so much and in fact is the one person that protecting and keeping save is Zivs lifeduty, there can be not much said about the Orchid. They are young and they are learning and they might be just as stubborn and foulmouthed as Ziv.
#on a complete sidenote: Would X'Ma be a transwoman? Joon and Ár are trans#but their species has specific gendernorms#but verpines have not so I am wondering#hmmm well since tehy have non X'ma referring to herself as a woman itwould make her a transwoman ?#anyway thanks for the ask and have fun reading!#headcanon#irrfahrer#Ziv Odiz' Zee

The way Mile’s love language seems to be quality time and gift giving (or maybe acts of service? Considering the whole KP production? Sorta similar) and Apo’s love language is physical touch and words of affirmation (calling him handsome every possible opportunity, pointing out his smile). Different but understanding is key to communication and strengthening the bond, for any type of relationship.
Sugar daddy Mile is a verified love language ya’ll 😉
😭 OK so I actually do have formal training in psychology and statistics so I actually looked into this again and apparently there is now a cache of research around psychometric reliability of the love languages theory? What??? This actually caught me off guard. The paper is interesting and cites other published research so give it a read.
I will say, the research suggests via factor analysis (which examines the number of naturally occurring underlying categories that explain the data rather than an attempt to force the data into categories) is that "gift giving" and "acts of service" can likely be combined. In my personal experience (not that heuristics is psychometricly valid but) this is how I perceive the two categories as well, thinking about my own personal perspective on how I view giving gifts.
I think the one thing that confuses people about the love languages when it that it asks the survey respondent what their love language is, the question is centered around what makes them feel cherished, not how they prefer to express their affection.
So based on your assessment, the reverse is true. Apo in particular prefers acts of service/receiving gifts, and Mile enjoys words of praise (like the good samomile doggo he is...) I think they both value quality time as well, since that is something they both are in demand of. And they are both very touchy with each other. It's particiularly noticeable since Mile doesn't seem particularly inclined to initiate touch with other people. But we do see Mile praise Apo (who was blushy too) and Apo doing acts of service for Mile too (bringing medicine to him when he had COVID as exposed by Tong...buying him cherries, etc.)
I mean, it's difficult to assess because in a [romantic] relationship, I think a good partnership covers all four (five) areas, and we don't know them personally. We only know what we can see publicly.
But In the beginning you do see them clash and Mile very visibly adjusts his behavior to what makes Apo happy. I think another anon described it as more "rough" in the way guys often show affection for each other...( ironically Apo loves rough housing Jeff and some of the other cast mates and doesn't seem particularly bothered when it's returned from them so... hm. ) Mile's better at hiding their emotions, but Apo did reveal that Pond noticed them clashing and helped them work on their relationship and talk over where they're clashing. You know. As always, use your own judgement

Psychometric Profiling, Job Personality Tests, and Career Personality Tests: Unveiling Potential and Fit
In the ever-evolving landscape of the job market, employers and job seekers alike are turning to advanced methods to ensure the best matches between roles and individuals. Among these methods, Psychometric Profiling, Job Personality Test, and career personality tests stand out as pivotal tools in the recruitment and career development process. These tools provide deeper insights into an individual’s personality, aptitudes, and potential fit within a given role or organizational culture.
Understanding Psychometric Profiling
Psychometric profiling is a scientific approach to measuring individuals’ mental capabilities and behavioral style. The objective is to gain a comprehensive understanding of a person’s psychological makeup. This includes aspects such as intelligence, skills, and personality traits. Psychometric tests are typically designed to be objective and standardized, ensuring that the results are consistent and comparable across different individuals.
The Role of Job Personality Tests
Job Personality Tests are a subset of psychometric assessments focused specifically on understanding how a person’s character and temperament align with the demands of a particular job. These tests evaluate traits such as conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, emotional stability, and openness to experience.
The benefits of job personality tests are manifold. They assist employers in:
Identifying Suitable Candidates: By comparing a candidate’s personality profile with the job requirements, employers can determine if the candidate is likely to succeed and thrive in the role.
Enhancing Team Dynamics: Understanding personality traits can help in creating balanced teams where members complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
Reducing Turnover: When employees’ personalities align with their job roles, they are more likely to be satisfied and less likely to leave, reducing turnover rates.
Improving Performance: Employees whose personality traits match their job roles tend to be more engaged and productive.
From the candidate’s perspective, Job Personality Tests provide valuable insights into their own compatibility with various roles, helping them make more informed career choices.
Exploring Career Personality Tests
Career Personality Tests, while similar to job personality tests, have a broader scope. They are designed to help individuals understand their core strengths, preferences, and interests to guide them towards suitable career paths. These tests often incorporate elements of interest inventories, value assessments, and skill evaluations.
The use of career personality tests can be particularly beneficial in the following ways:
Career Guidance for Students and Young Professionals: These tests can provide direction to individuals who are at the beginning of their career journey, helping them to select educational paths and career options that align with their personality.
Career Transitions: For those considering a career change, these tests can offer insights into new industries or roles that may be a better fit based on their evolved interests and skills.
Personal Development: Understanding one’s career personality can highlight areas for growth and development, enabling individuals to work on specific skills or traits that are important for their desired career path.
Career Personality Tests commonly used include the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Strong Interest Inventory, and the Holland Code (RIASEC) assessments. These tools help individuals match their unique profiles with compatible career options, increasing the likelihood of long-term job satisfaction and success.
Integration and Application in the Workplace
The integration of Psychometric Profiling, job personality tests, and Career Personality Tests in the workplace can transform the hiring and development landscape. Here’s how organizations can effectively utilize these tools:
Recruitment: By incorporating psychometric assessments into the recruitment process, organizations can ensure a better fit between candidates and job roles, leading to improved performance and job satisfaction.
Employee Development: Regular use of these tests can help in identifying training needs, creating personalized development plans, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Team Building: Understanding the diverse personality traits within a team can enhance communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution, leading to more effective teamwork.
Succession Planning: Psychometric profiling can aid in identifying high-potential employees and preparing them for future leadership roles through targeted development programs.
Conclusion
The strategic use of Psychometric Profiling, job personality tests, and Career Personality Tests offers a wealth of benefits for both employers and individuals. For employers, these tools are essential in making informed hiring decisions, optimizing team dynamics, and enhancing overall organizational performance. For individuals, they provide critical insights into personal strengths and preferences, guiding career choices and professional development. As the job market continues to evolve, the integration of these assessments will play an increasingly vital role in shaping successful and fulfilling careers.

personal ramble: my friend is going to talk to me on friday about the possibility of me being autistic and i need to show her all of my spreadsheets and stuff from over the past couple of years and also explain how i am probably lying and tricking everyone but i am kind of nervous to hear another person's honest perspective on my social skills. like i am going to feel so bad if she thinks that i don't talk about things outside my interests, or don't ask enough questions, or don't interpret and respond appropriately. but also this is the piece i need to hear in order to actually know where my social skills stand so i can more accurately fill out the psychometrics. i am just extremely anxious about this conversation and i don't know how to approach it while also communicating what i mean about things sufficiently clearly. any advice is welcome if you read this, but i totally get if you didn't lol
#she is such a kind friend#but also i don't know how to explain to her how extensively i have researched this

Secrets Of Mental Toughness To Improve Your Mindset And Spare Your Relationship When Dealing With Injury.
Most people think they know what mental toughness is. I thought I did. I thought it was what helped me finish an 8-hour race, or what will propel me through my upcoming Ironman in August. I took a special interest and started reading all I could about the subject. It turns out that there has been a real, scientific investigation of the phenomena and there are specific concepts which can measure your mental toughness. I decided to see what it could be used to improve upon and have found that it can be applied to almost anything! At the end of this description, I give specific exercises which can drastically improve your mental toughness mindset when dealing with injuries.
I became interested enough to become certified to give the psychometric test to evaluate one’s mental toughness (MTQ48). Prior to Peter Clough’s 4 C’s model, which led to the mental toughness test, there were a number of different definitions for this personality trait, and not all had been based on any research. Now, with a research-based definition and working model, we can assess someone’s mental toughness in relation to just about any experience. Although my specialty is in couples relationship coaching, I think that dealing with injuries can be such a significant disruption to a relationship that I thought I would tackle it here. Have you ever dated an athlete who was not able to run because they were injured and couldn’t control their emotions? It’s not fun!
What I find so interesting is that some of the physically toughest people can be mentally sensitive (which is the opposite of mental toughness). On the control scale, one of the 4 C’s of mental toughness, individuals are assessed on two sub-scales: “life control” and “emotional control.” In this article, I focus primarily on this concept, although the other 4 C’s could be equally relevant.
When faced with an injury, a person who has low levels of mental toughness in this “life control” category will often blame their environment and need support and encouragement from others. They will struggle to keep a positive mindset. On the other hand, a person with high levels of “life control” will generally believe that they are capable of getting through it. They usually think of the bigger picture and can control their mindset.
We can learn from the mentally tough here and follow their example.
A mentally tough athlete can stay calm when suffering an injury. To keep a broader perspective on things, they might use positive thinking to work on their rehabilitation and focus on goals. As Henry Ford is famous for saying, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t — you’re probably right.”
Visualization is one of the interventions that we, as relationship coaches, use to increase the mental toughness categories. One way to use it for injuries is to see yourself recovered from the injury: think of what it will look like when you are able to perform again. Fill in all the details that you can imagine — the race venue, the people, right down to the shoes that you will be wearing. The more realistic the visualization, the more effective it will be. I will give a concrete example at the end of this article.
The other component of control, related to mental toughness, is “emotional control.” This describes how well individuals are able to control their emotions and how much of much of their emotions they show. Individuals with lower scores tend to wear their emotions on their sleeve. They may believe things happen to them, get angry because the situation is not favoring them, and adopt a fatalist approach to dealing with the injury. By contrast, individuals with higher scores may feel they shape what happens to them, and they don’t usually appear anxious or upset. They direct their energy to what will help them achieve their objective and, as mentioned earlier, they believe they play an active role in determining their results.
Much of the research that has led to the mental toughness archetypes is positive psychology, which is the idea that what happens isn’t as important as what an individual thinks is happening. There are many tips and techniques to improve one’s ability to think positively.
Here are some tips to improve your mental toughness personality trait:Positive thinking
Affirmations: Positive statements about your healing which are important to you. (i.e., I am taking time to rest my body so I can be strong for my race).
Think of five positives: At the end of each day, write down five good things that happened. At the end of the week, summarize them to sense the goodness which is there.
What will I do tomorrow: At the end of the day, identify one, two, or three things that you will do for your recovery the next day. These must be doable. Follow up the next morning.
Self-talk: In your head, use positive language to support your recovery. Tell yourself that you are doing well with self-care and you have control over improving each day.
Banish negative thoughts
Mental thought stopping: Say “no!”
Self-talk: In your head, eliminate negative words or phrases which enter your mind when you are reminded of your limitations-limit self from using “if” or “but.”
Turn negative into a positive: Reframe the situation into something positive: “I know this happened for me because….” Or “I am still better off than….”
What have I learned from this: Seek the positive in any injury: there is always something.
Exercise: Creating a visualization of your healed future self.
The goal of this exercise is to use the inside of your head to create a picture there of what you would like to achieve or be. When that is done, do two things: 1) see what that looks like and 2) imagine how you will feel when that happens. If you wish to be healed, this can become a driver: “I like how that feels and I am going to get there.”
Think of how you would like to feel when you are free of injury.
Anchor this to a specific point in time.
Contextualize the feeling- what does it look like when you are free of injury, how will you know that you are feeling well, what is the evidence of your health, how are others responding to you being able to return to sport, and most importantly, what does it feel like to be at your full health?
Now, imagine you are able to see this situation from a surveillance camera: visualize this from the unseen eye. What will others see?
This is what you will want to hold in your mind. Anchor it to your routines and visualize it whenever you begin to think about how your life is different because of your injury. Think about this when you are leaving work, getting ready for bed, taking a break, or when meditating.
Keep adding to the visualization to make it feel more real.

Yeeeeeee!!!!
This is one of the things I found about Cal’s ability:
Whoever used the extremely rare ability experienced a blinding white light before receiving a Force vision, albeit with slightly distorted input, of the sight, sound, and emotions associated with the object. Though an innate skill, it nonetheless still required some study and practice to properly control it. To an unpracticed individual touching an object that induced a vision could also cause severe headaches and seizures, consequently making these episodes appear more like symptoms of a serious illness rather than a rare and powerful Force ability. The power could taint the force-sensitive if the object they touched had been used to execute dark-side-related actions, like murder. Wielders of the dark side with the ability could rip memories from other’s minds. The Jedi Council strongly discouraged the use of psychometry on dead bodies, as the emotions prior to a violent death were so strong that the deceased would have likely brushed with the dark side. This endangered Jedi by exposing them to these powerful emotions. Additionally, the Jedi Council frowned upon excessive use of this power, as it allowed the user to experience intense emotions, which would make him or her more susceptible to the dark side of the Force. Extreme cases caused the psychometric's mind to become possibly permanently trapped, and rarer still, caused death.
I also think it’s interesting how Cal experiences echos from different perspectives. Either he’s seeing the echo through someone else’s eyes, or actively in the vision and is able walking around, or even seeing the vision happening before his eyes (not in his mind) as we saw in Survivor. I wonder as a kid if it was really hard to determine what was actual happening for real and what was an echo in the case of seeing visions in a real space which are almost no different than interacting with anyone else in the present. That’s gotta be scary; not knowing whether what’s happening around you is a tangible reality.
I’m really excited to being collabing with you!!
If I POSSIBLY (no promises) wrote a story of Cal having severe echos at a very, very young age and his parent(s) struggling to find a way to help him, what would you ultimately want out of the story?

I saw you're watching devil judge and would like to recommend park jinyoungs earlier work he is psychometric. It starts out fun, light and cracky, and you get to know the characters, while they're giving pieces of the larger mystery. Then boom, you're invested and and can't stop watching. I love it, and I think it's really well written. The truth of the mystery is rolled out piece by piece as we get parts from different character's perspectives and I love how the story fits itself together
The summary of it looks interesting! Though thanks Wikipedia for, I assume, spoiling a big twist by starting with "after losing his parents in a fire" and then later in the same paragraph "[character], who was the main cause of the fire". Perhaps I should not have known that before watching? Although to be fair I will probably forget the name as soon as I've closed the tab.

He Is Psychometric
Warning: Spoiler filled, Rant Review ahead.
Trigger warning: mentions Human Trafficking, arson, murder, kidnapping, cult-like behaviour, gas lighting, manipulation, mental illness, deception, torture, gore
What started out as a light rom-com with a hint of tragedy evolved into a full-fledged twisted dark drama riddled with plot-twists, agony and sorrow. As the story progressed, in each episode the stakes were raised higher and I was invested throughout.
The crushing weight of the consequences became palpable when Officer Ji Soo died. I recall waiting for her to wake up again after the heart-beat monitor stopped but no, it stayed flatline.
I had initially presumed the story to have the fire-case as a catalytic event to bring the FL and ML together while carrying a rather light theme throughout. Their relationship was indeed precious-the way they understood and cared for each other, the music box Lee An made for her, the way she allowed him to tie her shoelace, etc. I was also happy that although the ML and FL fought, they were quick to work through their misunderstandings and see things in the other's perspective, which made their love for each other sweeter.
Any who, the actual darkness of the story blew up into a no-moon night sky. Human Trafficking, arson, murder, kidnapping, cult-like behaviour, gas lighting, manipulation, mental illness, deception, torture, gore, all of the elements were present as the mystery behind who started the fire in the Apartments was slowly unravelled. It was very interesting to see the big picture being pieced together. I have no complaints regarding the acting, which was believable.
I went on a roller-coaster of emotions during the drama, crying, laughing, horrified and terrified. The characters were also fascinating and I liked the depth they portrayed, with each characters having different motives and a complex personality.
I have to admit, my favourite character was Ji Soo. I adored how stead-fast and sure she was regarding everything she did and everyone she liked. Her determination, adorable quirks and all-round brilliance resonated with me tremendously, which was why I was on the verge of tears when she died.
It was also very intriguing to see the symbolism behind many things-from Lee An's pet dog to the dictionary to the ring to the shoelace to the rubix cube to the coat, everything. A lot of hidden gems are present which I had initially assumed to be background prop but were revealed to be sparks of a wildfire.

My research topic is from NESARC study . I am interested in doing my research in Panic disorders and Agarophobia .
My research hypothesis will be on whether surrounding atmosphere is associated with panic disorders in adolescents and children
After going through variables from code book it came into light that there are various factors that leads to anxiety for which I have also gone through the references I have attached below.
Based on our review of the available data, we conclude that panic attacks are common among adolescents, while both panic attacks and Panic Disorder appear to be present, but less frequent, in children. Furthermore, it is evident that both adolescents and children who report panic attacks describe the occurrence of cognitive symptoms, although with less frequency than physiological ones. Consistent with the cognitive model of panic, it seems that at least some youngsters are capable of experiencing the physiological symptoms of panic accompanied by the requisite catastrophic cognition. However, a more complete understanding of the cognitive manifestation of panic attacks/disorder among children awaits further investigation. Future research should aim to explore the developmental progression in children's cognitive responses to specific panic symptomatically. Risk factors (e.g. anxiety sensitivity, depression) which may contribute to the likelihood of misinterpreting physiological sensations in a catastrophic manner throughout the course of development should also be assessed: Finally, we are in general agreement with Abelson and Alessi (1992) who argue that we must begin to ask ourselves how panic disorder may be manifested in children. That is, rather than assessing the frequency with which children experience symptoms of adult panic, we should explore what panic would look like in children. They propose that the study of panic in children would be facilitated by a reformulation of separation anxiety as a childhood expression of panic disorder. Although this reformulation makes intuitive sense and is appealing from a developmental perspective, we would insert a strong caveat. Although the research is yet to be conducted, it is probable that childhood separation anxiety is only one of many routes to panic disorder outcome. It is improbable that such direct and continuous pathways are present for the majority of children, adolescents and adults who experience panic disorder. More probably, the pathways are multiple, complex, and discontinuous (Robbins & Rutter, 1990). Much work remains to be done before we are able to ferret out the linkages between developmental processes and clinical outcomes for panic disorder in children and adolescents.

Biological Computation and Contagious Beats
Offloading a lot of my actual process of thinking into my dancing, and then doing a lot of dancing, has made me feel deeply connected to my body. I’m not a brain living in a body - I’m really the whole thing. It’s also given me a lot of introspective understanding of how my physical form works and how it actually does the work of cognition. So, some interesting things:
Firstly, patterns are contagious. Deeply stable and self-symmetric rhythms are especially so. When I listen to music, I want to dance. And, when I dance to a song, I find myself thinking thoughts shaped by the music. I think about the applicability of the lessons in the music to whatever else I was considering at the time.
A really cool thing is that the repetition of motifs from earlier in a piece of music causes a return of the thoughts I was thinking at that earlier point. The thoughts themselves have been stored in the pattern of dance that I’m now repeating, so the thoughts are released back into my mind stream. If the crescendo of a song involves the overlay of several phrases from before at once, then my dance will cause me to think those thoughts all at once, and in so doing find new connections between them. Great for generating deep wisdom and horrible puns.
The “patterns are contagious” thing is much broader than this, though. For one thing, this happens naturally in conversation. People engaged in interaction start matching frequency with each other even in terms of their movements. This is true even at larger scales than single conversations: Yesterday, while sitting in a restaurant, I slowed down my perspective very far until I could figure out what the underlying beat was. What I found was that there was an extremely regular pattern of energetic pulses in the room, and that at each pulse people would shift their bodies to various degrees. To a first approximation, everyone was on the beat.
(Oh, I can also dilate my perception of time almost at will now. It just depends on which beats I pay attention to as my framework for mentally counting time. Slow the beat, and existence itself slows down. This is probably the best anxiety intervention I’ve ever encountered.)
Also, as noted before, more stable, rhythmic, and symmetric patterns overwhelm less fit patterns. This is a feature of ecology itself, but also the behaviours of individual living things. One of the most disconcerting effects of dancing down the street has been that homeless people with involuntary muscle spasms sometimes catch my dance. Their muscle spasms finally found a rhythm from outside that they couldn’t pull together internally, so they pulled together into that pattern briefly, before dissolving back into their typical chaos. In the case of one man, suddenly finding himself dancing almost threw him over, because he had little experience with having that much directed momentum all at once.
I think part of why it’s so necessary to mental health to be in contact with other people is to help coordinate your dance. Every interaction causes your pulsation pattern to converge with someone else’s, so if you do this often enough you keep in tune with humanity. However, if you’re cast out and universally avoided, you can never resample healthy patterns, so your own can diverge and deteriorate in unhealthy ways. Hence, disjointed and adversarial muscle ticks which are desperate to be put in order by finding some - any - consistent rhythm.
I think this contagion model is also why people tend to be somewhat disturbed by noticing other people’s ticks and stims; and are more disturbed the more prominent or disjointed it seems. To observe it is to have the pattern try to leap into your brain. What if it’s dangerous or unhealthy? What if it displaces me? Better to avoid, and to set up social norms requiring people to keep their thoughts on the inside.
But regularity is also an important part of this. Extremely irregular patterns seem like cancers. They don’t seem stable or healthy. However, if I danced to a slow, consistent base-rhythm, that was no longer a concern. People considered me a curiosity or ignored me. To the extent that anyone seemed disapproving, it was probably due to my divergence from the higher-level pattern of “humans don’t dance in public” rather than any concern I was a threat.
Meanwhile, animals love me. Dogs in parks find me very interesting and like to come over and investigate me while I’m dancing. But it’s very much about the dancing - if I stop, they freak out. And why wouldn’t they? I previously had a very long-term and stable pattern. I was clearly safe, since it would take far too long for me to reorient myself toward being adversarial. The moment I stopped, I went off script. Now who knew what kind of evil shit I could be up to.
The final thing I’ve noticed is that I seem to have a significantly different perspective on information than other people. Specifically, I’m waaaay less afraid of contagion. Now that I have become a waveform, I can see everyone else going about their day from the perspective of curating which information they become entangled with. From music, to books, to which people they talk to, and how openly. Any sort of stimulation from an unfamiliar source is a threat, because who knows if the things out there will displace the things in here?
And I just... Don’t really do that. I’m, like, somewhat afraid of physical pain, I guess. But I’m not afraid of ideas - or at least in the limit I’m not, since I am continuously seeking to be more entangled in more ideas. I listen to every music, and seek out every art, and try to talk to every person. If it can be parsed, I want to process it. I want to recombine it with my pattern and keep the result.
In psychometric terms, this is openness to experience. In biological terms, this is promiscuity. This is willingness to recombine your patterns far and wide. I’ve been internally self-describing as the being with the Promiscuous Prior, because I have the prior that recombining with any given information source is a good idea. (Specifically, this is female promiscuity - I’m less concerned with spraying my ideas over the environment than with being penetrated by new ideas and recombining them inside myself.)
In a sense, this is supreme hubris. This is sheer arrogance. This is looking at the landscape of evolution, and the information theoretic war of all against all, and just being really fucking confident that you’ll win. That in any entanglement between you and the outside, you will live on.
And I think this is because the deepest consistent 'me’ that I identify with is just the truth. No particular set of thoughts or opinions or feelings or plans. Just being true. And, as the truth is simply that which survives contact with reality, I identify with that which lives on. So show me any pattern; have me dance to any beat. If it’s false, it will fail to survive contact with me. If it’s true, we shall be joined, and together we will be stronger.
I think there’s a deep link between subjectivist perspectives on the world and self-loathing. When you feel like the state of things is inherently arbitrary, and observe that certain things don’t fit, you just assume the world is a jumble of chaos that could reject anyone for any reason. It could reject you, you retched, retched thing. The universe itself might snuff you out some day, because you failed to meet the mark.
Thus, you must forever hide from the universe. The world is scary. New music is scary. Other people’s opinions are scary. Sure, you can put on a facade to conform, but what about the real you? If you exposed that to the outside, surely it would whither. Because reality is hostile and absurd, and its dynamics shall forever be alien and dangerous. Might as well play video games instead - at least those make sense in principle.
And the motivating force between like 80% of my weirdness is that I don’t believe this. About me, at least, but to some extent about everyone. My promiscuous prior, which tells me that recombining with my environment is in general a good idea, implicitly contains the assumption that there’s something worth getting out there. And that’s because I feel like all patterns have a component of fitness I can absorb into me, if only I can understand it. I like people, because I believe they all have that core of fitness. That we are all made in the image of G-d, metaphorically.
Since I’m such a fan of music, I’d like to end this with a music rec. The song that plays in my head every time I remember to go forward with trust in myself. Deep down, the song is about the most beautiful miracle of all - that, however much it may seem unbelievable - you of all people are fit. That even as you feel yourself to be a substance made for rejection, you are still worthy of being embraced by the world. And that that which is beautiful in you lives on through any disaster or entanglement.

"Psychological Testing For Employment Purposes"
Clinical testing is usually administered by clinical psychologists working with abnormal behavior and mental disorders. Clinical Testing is an excellent way to clarify and diagnose the nature and scope of a person along with the possibility of discovering whether or not they have any disturbances and dysfunction.
How To Take A Psychological Test for A Job
It can be helpful for a small business to understand how an applicant would take a psychological test for a job. In other words: What would be the process of taking such a test from the job applicant's perspective? A psychological test for a job, often called a psychometric test, is a standard, scientific method used to measure a person's mental capabilities and behavioral style, says the Institute of Psychometric Coaching. These tests are designed to measure candidates' suitability for a role based on the required personality characteristics and aptitude. In other words, a psychological test for a job is designed, as noted, to see how well a candidate would fit in a business organization and how well she might be expected to both perform on the job and fit well into the company's culture. Korn-Ferry, the world's No. 1 executive recruiting firm, says psychometric assessments, or psychological tests for a job, offer a deeper understanding of job candidates and identify the right person for the job. Gary Burnison, Korn-Ferry CEO, says in his 2018 book, Lose the Resume/Land the Job, that the best way for a candidate to take a psychological test for a job is to prepare ahead of time by taking his own self-assessment tests. In the final chapter of the book, called Know Yourself, Burnison offers four self-assessment tests that allow a candidate to assess herself in term of traits (such as leadership or a desire to follow and take direction), drivers (such as factors that motivate a person to work and succeed), an competencies (such as resourcefulness as well as an ability and drive to plan, work hard, and be accountable). Burnison says the best way to take a psychological test for a job is to first understand your strengths, drives, motivations, and weaknesses to see if you are a good match for the kind of position the company is offering. Self-assessment, ahead of time, is the key to being successful on a psychology test for a job, says Burinson. For example, if you know, after doing a series of self-assessments, that you prefer to show up at 8 a.m., take directions from a higher up, do your job competently and accurately, and then clock out at 5 p.m., you would likely not be the right candidate for a high-level executive position. If, however, you wake up at 4 a.m. and can't wait to get the job by 6 a.m. — as Burnison does — and you enjoy creating a vision, delegating tasks, helping others to grow and succeed, and being committed to implementing a successful vision and mission for a company, then you might well be a good candidate for a high-level executive position.
What Are the Types of Psychological Assessment?
The types of psychological assessments companies can and should use fall into five types of tests, says Molly Owens writing on Tech.Co, a technology news and resources website. In an article titled, "Personality in the Workplace: Why It's Important and 5 Tests to Measure it," Owens notes the basic types of psychology assessments: Myers Briggs: This well-known tool for mapping employee personalities is widely used by businesses as psychometric assessments administered to candidates during the pre-hiring process. The tests measures many of the traits discussed above: extroversion vs. introversion, intuition vs. sensing, thinking vs. feeling, and judging vs. perceiving. "Results from these tests place the employee into one of 16 personality types, which each have their own strengths and weaknesses," says Owens. Big Five: Similar to Myers Brigs, this test measures five "dimensions of personality" that organizations look for in employees — extroversion, openness, agreeableness, conscientiousness and neuroticism — to try to provide insight into how a new hire or current employee interacts with coworkers, and manages work-related stress. Occupational Interest Inventories: Businesses use these psychological tests to put employees into the right roles. An example of an Occupational Interest Inventory (or OII) is the Holland Code Career test, which measures how interested a job applicant, new hire, or a candidate for promotion is in different roles and tasks.
Disc Behavior Inventory: Also known by its acronym, DISC, this psychology test classifies candidates into four “styles” based on questions about their behaviors at work. "It helps organizations find out more about a candidate’s tendencies toward: dominance, influence, support, and control," says Owens. Situation Judgement Tests: Also known by the acronym, STJs, these tests try to see how an employee interacts with customers or handles pressure in common difficult situations. Going beyond the other tests, STJs put prospective hires or employees in "realistic, simulated situations to find out which pre-loaded responses the employee feels are most or least effective," says Owens.

From a social perspective people like to be sorted...
The real MBTI (the letters) is psychometrically on a par with models like the Big Five, so it actually has “scientific support”: akhromant.tumblr.com/po… - One of the main problems (and part of the reason why some people think it’s “not valid”) is the supposed “function stacks” of the types, because they are all incorrect. They were disproved back in 1989 by the Big Five folks themselves. I have more posts about all this, if you’re interested :)
Except that it’s not, lol. The fact that the one “scientific support” you have is an article from 1989, is questionable in its own right. It says right in the article that either “Jung's theory is either incorrect or Inadequately operationalized by the MBTI “.That’s flawed in itself, considering the MBTI is meant to measure Jung’s psychological types, you simply DO NOT have adequate construct validity if your test by nature does not have an adequate operational definition of whatever you’re trying to measure. It doesn’t mean Jung’s psychological types are wrong, per se, just that the MBTI isn’t measuring what it’s supposed to be measuring which is BAD in experimental psychology. That’s what validity is, the concept that your test is measuring what it’s MEANT to measure. “Decades of research on the dimension of extraversion show that these attributes simply do not cohere in a single factor. The MBTI manual itself contradicts Jung by using tough minded to describe thinking function rather than the extraverted attitude” again, from the article you’ve linked in your post, shows another point for weak validity. Jung had stated that being “tough minded” was a quality of those who are extroverted. If the qualities “extraversion” are considered related to the quality of being “tough minded” then scores on either of those qualities SHOULD be correlated. Since the MBTI wrongly categorizes this function, the data of those qualities doesn’t converge like it should, which means its convergent validity is POOR. I’m under the impression you’ve misunderstood what “valid” means in the realm of experimental research.
I’m not sure what you mean by “function stacks” but the MBTI doesn’t give numerical values for its letters, instead sorting test takers into discrete groups which is flawed when majority of people generally are not easily sorted into one extreme or another, but have some sort of “percentage” of certain traits, for example, like having 80% score in “Openness” on the big 5 test. There’s no evidence of bimodal distributions for the MBTI. Instead, most people score between the two extremes. This means that although one person may score as an E, their test results may be very similar to those of another person's, who scores as an I.
The fact that you read this article, written by Robert Mcrae and Paul Costa Jr, two guys who had nothing to do with the development of the Big Five model, and went “hey, this is done by the “Big Five Folks”” confuses me (big five was conceptualized by J.M. Digman & Lewis Goldberg). Research regarding the big five has shown to be highly reliable and valid, like the NEO Personality inventory (its great!). Literally all it says in this part of the article you’ve referred me to is that qualities of the big five have shown some sort of correlation to some of the qualities measured by the MBTI, like perceiving types being low in contentiousness. Except that it doesn’t give ANY numbers regarding the strength of these supposed correlations. What these guys tested was the hypothesis that the “Thinking-feeling scale” (except that it’s not a scale and the article says nothing about changing their MBTI scores to reflect a numerical value of the Jung types) is positively related to openness to Feelings, and negatively related to openness to Ideas and that their analyses should provide a basis for understanding the MBTI scores within the framework of a widely accepted personality taxonomy.
So basically, they wanted to see if there was a correlation of those who scored those who scored feeling would have high values of openness to feelings and those who scored thinking scored low on openness to ideas? I’m not totally sure, they don’t explain themselves very well. All their correlates are really weak. 0.20s to 0.30s? those are some shitty correlation coefficients. In the end it doesn’t even look like their test even ended up being significant. In fact, their data provides no support for the MBTI system as a means of assessing the Jungian dominant function! Nor did their analyses support the hypothesis that personality traits will be affected by particular combinations of MBTI preferences into qualitatively distinct types. Their goal was simply to see if MBTI scores related under the framework of the Big five personality traits and the Jung types. No where does it prove that the MBTI alone is a well constructed, experimentally valid or reliable test. I’m really confused, because the article you share claiming that it’s “on par” with scales that test the five model factor and that the MBTI is a “good test” that is “psychometrically on par” with other personality inventories. It literally says the opposite...”the study found no support for the typological theory the instrument is intended to embody“ this literally means the MBTI is Not Good.
Not to mention, the MBTI has REALLY BAD test retest reliability, with people getting different results when taking the test again in a matter of weeks. In the realm of personality psychology, personality is defined by a dynamic organization of qualities of a person that are consistent through time and different situations. How is it possible that there can be a change in personality, across a short interval, when such a change should not occur?
