Feeling complicated about those comics, but yea their friendship is important to me.

Also just- Zuko's momentary relief at not being Ozai's only for it to reinstate that no, he IS Ozai's (and all what that means). Dude 😭 He was so glad for a moment, honestly don't blame him but- FUCK. I admit- though in some sense it's a little lame, I do enjoy the little rollercoaster of messy reflection that prompted. Dysfunctional Family FeelsTM indeed.

The first thing Zuko did when he found out Ozai is not his father (read the comic to understand lol) was to find Aang and tell him

#@ prev:#ozai IS zuko's father. however there was a moment where he was lead to believe differently #it's in the search comic I think. reading letters from ursa where she insinuate that zuko's ikem's rather than ozai's #something soemthing to prove that ozai was intercepting her letters #ozai didn't believe her tho. however it's not like zuko had that info when reading the letter so he was having a Moment (of relief)#aang's a little skeptical abt it #some context tho: zuko was already hanging out w the gaang.#azula's with to look for their mum #she knows of its contents too #big rip to her too honestly. especially with the whole idea of... like zuko keeps linking not just his history & the legacy he's dealt #but also his own moral self as “inherently Bad or not” to his family #and then we've got the sozin vs roku 2 dragons inside you deal (tho i guess azula was the blue one)#iroh too talks within the same framework #and if zuko was ikem's. then what would this all say for azula within that framework #other than zuko not being a legitimate heir (like how would she feel being the only one of ozai's & how that supposedly reflects on her cha #just thoughts #abt 'inherently Bad or not' bit I'm thinking of Zuko's real struggle to 'stay good' and all that. & his fear of ending up like his ancestor #-> the promise for more of that...
