Hearing a loud *thunk* against my window and turning around to see a Northern Flicker trying to reach seeds from my nearly empty bird feeder is like bumping into a random celebrity on the street
Like hello sir~ I didn't expect someone as prestigious as you to be using my bird feeder meant for small songbirds~
#i have a kaleidoscope cling film up on that window to make the birds feel more comfortable using it while the cat stares at them#so i couldn't see it super well but i got to see the red on its tail feathers propped against the window#it's gotta be the prettiest woodpecker out there imho. all those spots and the bright red standing out against that tan color. so pretty
