The stupidest thing I saw about hashtag man or bear discourse was probably somebody saying she'd take the bear because nobody would blame her for being attacked by the bear. Because buddy, anonymous and strange men who overpower and hurt you are the rapists virtually all people are willing to believe exist. People victim blame so much because most sexual assault occurs between people who already know each other or are acquainted in nominally polite society. Next to nobody would blame you for being assaulted by a creepy, woods dwelling serial killer.
