FUCK IT JUST CLICKED FOR ME 

It’s been years and there’s so few people that probably remember it, but it’s just clicked for me why the “Sanae is a SLUT” meme bugged me so much.

I didn’t like it as a child in the Touhou RP community and didn’t have the knowledge to articulate why it bothered me, but I think I get it now!!

I didn’t like the reduction of an interesting character from a complex and well-developed work of fiction to a consumptive erotic caricature. Fuck, I don’t really care if people personally enjoy Sanae erodoujins (hell I’ve read em), but parroting the bit in otherwise more engaging contexts was both annoying and invasive. The same kind of annoying as someone randomly inserting themselves into a conversation with a friend to shout “HAAH HAAH MOEEEE” is. 

Not that you even see that type of shit anymore.
