I was looking through my blog, saw my reblogs of your gifs, and realized I hadn't stalked scrolled through your blog in DAYS. All the Eve stuff I see in your blog always makes me do a happy, little dance. Also, I may or may not fill up your notifs again 😁

And that Daemon and Rhaenys scene?? I may or may not have ended up shipping them because of it and exploring the possibilities of their dynamic from the one or two interactions between them that was shown has certainly consumed my thoughts. All the what-ifs! But I do keep it low-key in my main blog because I usually see a lot of Daemon hate and I just wanna be in my own little corner, enjoying my thing 🙈

You ship Daemon and Rhaenys? How interesting! I don't, and I don't think I could really do so even for funsies, there are just too many obstacles in the way for me to do that. Fussy, I know. But I certainly do agree that they have one heck of an interesting dynamic and I would have loved to have seen more of that.

I've not seen Matt discuss those interactions very much but I have seen Eve, discuss both the look she gives Daemon after the news about Jaehaerys, and then the one scene that we have of them alone, together. And how she sees that dynamic and how she thinks Rhaenys sees Daemon, and Daemon, particularly, in that moment and within the context of that scene.

It's one of the relationships where we don't get much but there's so much history and so much inferred, even in just the first season, that you can feel fairly confident in the dynamic. You can feel it. And, for me, it's interesting just looking at how they are positioned in the world and how they pivot around the Iron Throne. The similarities and differences between them, and in how that Targaryen spirit is in them both and is expressed and presented.

The fact that they are, or were, or whatever tense you want to use, the last pillar of a bygone age, as Jaehaerys's grandchildren. There's a shared history known only to them as they go over death after death. They are part of an era now gone. There are no dragon riders as experienced as them, by a fairly decent margin, also.

Something that I wish they'd made more of an effort to represent would be that they could have been said to be the angel and devil on Rhaenyra's shoulder: they're opposites in that way, with Daemon doing damage to and Rhaenys trying to enforce Rhaenyra's authority. The aggressive vs the thoughtful. They're profoundly different people but still passionate, loyal, and fierce. Displaced, proud, independent.

I think Eve described that scene of them together as them being like a panther vs a rattlesnake, and I like what that implies: profoundly different beasts but, at the end of the day, both deadly - both predators.

A few days ago, your boyfriend decided to create an Instagram account on a whim, also perhaps sparked by sheer curiosity.

Despite not being one to value social interactions beyond family and closest friends, you found yourself amused by his impulsive decision. Nonetheless, you offered Chris your undivided support. You even helped him to pick a profile picture and username.

And it was no surprise for you to see many of his coworkers and college friends follow him on Instagram cause he had always been a popular guy, even in the past.

When he uploaded his very first post, which was some pictures from your holiday together a month ago, a lot of his friends left some nice commentsㅡ complimenting how stunning he looked in the pictures that you took.

"I see you're getting even more popular on Instagram," you teased him when he just got home from work.

"Can you blame me? I have been told so many times that I am irresistible," Chris answered with a smirk, which immediately had you rolling your eyes at him.

"Just go take a shower, Your Highness. You reek of rotten narcissism."

Chris only laughed at your snide comments before he leaned closer and pecked your lips. "I will be right back, milady."

While waiting for Chris to finish his business under the shower, you seized a can of beer from the fridge and sat down on the couch in the living room. You then turned on the TV and immediately scrolled through the screen to pick a movie.

As you both had planned since the morning, the two of you would be indulged in binge-watching while cuddling. You both even made a pact to switch off your phones so you wouldn't be disturbed for the entire night. 

However, a few moments later, Chris' phone which was placed on top of the drawer beside the couch flickered several times.

"Whoops, sorry but he is mine tonight," you murmured to yourself as you reached for the phone with the intention to turn it offㅡ before you instantly changed your mind the moment you saw the screen.

There were Instagram direct message notifications from someone with a name that was not familiar to you.

Your heart dropped to your stomach after you read the messages.

Well.. maybe it was a little exaggerated to say that your heart dropped to your stomach because it was not physically possible, but the point was, you were simply shocked. 

Not because another girl just sent your boyfriend direct messages on Instagram, but because of the extremely straightforward audacity to flirt with Chris.

So, without thinking twice, you launched the Instagram app to see the pictures that she sent.

"Holy shit," you then hissed harshly, eyes as wide as a saucer.

Displayed on the screen were two pictures of a girl with long hair. She seemed to be in a gym studio and she was only wearing a sports bra that flaunt her cleavage and a biker short that accentuated her plump ass.

And as if your hands had minds on their own, you zoomed in the pictures to see her face clearly.

"Damn, she is so stunning," the words slipped out of your mouth without you realizing.

She was devilishly luscious. She had a demure yet alluring smile etched on her face, while the glint in her gaze seemed to possess a spellbinding intensity that left you momentarily speechless.

Your very teeny-weeny jealousy that was previously ignited by her messages then was quickly replaced by your insecurities. 

As much as it pained you to admit, but if Chris was to cheat on you with herㅡ which you highly doubted, you would still understand his decision. Hell, even if you were a man yourself, you would love to date her.

"Damn, I definitely should start working out again," you said to yourself while still staring at her pictures.

"Why? Why do you want to work out again?" Chris asked from the doorway. He frowned at you while drying his hair with a towel.

"Uh, it's because.."

"Hm? Because of what?"

You thought for a moment as your pursed your lips. You knew he wouldn't be mad at you just because you read his messages, but you couldn't help to feel bad because it was also a part of his personal space.

 "Well.. I didn't mean to, but I accidentally read your DM from Instagram and.."

"And what?" Chris asked casually, he didn't even react when you said you read his messages.

"Come here then. You need to see this."

Once Chris sat next to you on the couch, you handed him the phone and observed his face for his reaction.

"Oh, she is a coworker and she had always tried to approach me at the office but I never gave her any response that was beyond a professional relationship between coworkers," Chris clarified with a shrug, still couldn't grasp what you were trying to convey. 

"No, that's not what I mean, babe. I know you wouldn't do that."

"Then what?"

"Look at the pictures she sent you," you pointed to the screen with your finger. "Isn't she gorgeous? Look at her ass.. and even her boobs. I really need to work out again, I swear."

"Baby.." Chris was visibly stunned for a moment as he raised an eyebrow at you. "Have you seen yourself? At least in the mirror?"

"What..?"

"Tell me you are joking," he shook his head before he put his phone on the table and cupped your face with both of his hands. "Please, tell me you are joking."

"No, I am not," you answered seriouslyㅡ which caused Chris to break into a very wide smile.

"She got nothing on you, baby. You are unrivaled, don't you know that?"

"Liar," you snorted and rolled your eyes. You thought he only said that to make you feel better.

"Oh, you silly," still with a wide smile on his face, Chris leaned forward to playfully nibble on your lips. "But, I can help though if you want to work out."

Shortly after he had finished kissing, nibbling, and biting your lips, Chris carried you to the bed and pinned you underneath him. He trailed feathery kisses along the column of your neck to your shoulders.

"I have just the perfect workout routine for you," he whispered next to your ear as he caressed your tits through your shirt.

And.. Long gone was your insecurity.

When he started to undress you, all you could think about was him.

"You are so beautiful and my heart is aching," Chris said against your skin before he latched his mouth on your nipple. He took his time to suck and lick your tits, leaving reddish marks all over your chest.

HI I LOVEEEEE your Art I LOVEEEE your ema! I wanted to ask if you've played aa6 and your thoughts on aa6 ema! I really like that they brought her back and i really think they balanced her personality well by making her more upbeat because of her job, but shes not wholly optimistic either. I really like her relationship with prosecutor sadmadhi throughout the game too! I feel like there's a scale in emas mind from Most to least acceptable prosecutor men and on one end is Miles edgeworth, the other is Klavier gavin, and sadmadhi is in the middle. if that makes sense lol. I just think she talks like she doesn't like him, but she goes along with him way more than she would if Klavier ever asked her to do half the things he asks of her. Also I think it's really interesting that aa6 had ema and mayas first canon interaction! that was interesting to me because ema was sort of designed with Maya in mind and lana and mia obviously have some history, I think it was time for their sisters to meet too. sorry for the Long ask but I just treasure your interpretation of these characters so much!

I have mixed feelings on SoJ, but Ema is my favorite part of it. I like her a lot in it. She's still got a bit of the edge from AJ, which is nice to see. I like some of her new sprites too, like the swaying thinking one and the 🥺 one. Much prefer her munching sprite from AJ though. The shovelling snacks into her mouth is much more Ema. I also really don't like her official full body art for SoJ.

Unfortunately, Nahyuta doesn't really interest me... His design is too complex to do silly drawings of, for one. I feel like their dynamic was a little underdeveloped, a bit shoehorned in. It's a shame, because their backstories set up a possible dynamic that could be quite interesting, since Lana and Nahyuta kind of have the same motivations - writing team missed a trick. Also, I think Ema would have realistically been grumpier about having to fly halfway across the world every few days. It didn't reeeeaaally feel organic to me. But I do like the idea of their dynamic.

I like the way Maya and Ema interact, even if it's brief. Implies that they have met before, and they're friends, which is cute, though I wish it was a little more delved into. I feel like Maya's characterisation in SoJ is kind of boring. Not as bad as Pearl got it, but still nowhere near as good as she was in the trilogy. Honestly, the whole game falls flat for me when you compare it to the emotional weight the trilogy and AJ have. I really like some of the cases though. And Ema's mini games are great as always. Except the bit with the suitcase which lagged out my 3DS and made me restart it twice, haha. (Though, again! Her mini games were kind of better in the other games!!!)

So, to answer your question, I do like Ema in SoJ. And, despite my criticism, I do like SoJ! Just not as much as the other games in the series. When you play them all in a row, it feels kind of disappointing. I think it's because it's not on the intimate, domestic scale of the trilogy, which is where I think Ace Attorney really shines. (Case in point: Bridge to the Turnabout)

Super happy to see her in another game though, she's really fun, exactly what SoJ needed, and I'm really glad she was the detective they went for. Also, the outfit they put her in for the DLC cutscenes at the wedding is really really good. They were cooking with that one.

I'm really happy to hear you're interested in my interpretations, it means a lot. They're characters I've grown quite fond of.

I really despise how the anon feature on this site is abused by assholes, and how there's literally no, real recourse to combat them other than turning anon off. It really does make it nearly impossible to enjoy interacting with any fandom, because you never know, when you get a notification in your inbox, if it's a legitimate question from someone who genuinely wants to engage with you over a shared interest, of if it's some douche bag who's decided their ability to hide behind an anonymous message gives them the right and free reign to harass and bully and demean you and/or your blogs content, or under the guise of "debate", come at you with an aggressive statement trying to counter something you've said or talked about on your own blog with the clear agenda of baiting you and upsetting you. Of course, if these clowns really cared about discussing the matter and wanted to have a conversation, they would reply to posts publicly, instead of sending anonymous messages and trying to cram their unsolicited opinions down your throat . And it's incredibly telling that it's always an anonymous message when this happens, because first and foremost, these people know they're acting like assholes, and yet they're too cowardly to own up to it and let everyone see who it is engaging in this kind of abusive behavior. Really says it all about what a bunch of losers these people are. Unfortunately, there's so many of them, that they make more than a dent in other people's ability to enjoy whatever fandom space they've tried to cultivate.

It's beyond exhausting and it sucks, because I really do enjoy getting asks in my inbox, either from anons or people willing to share their username. But at this point, I hardly think it's worth it. Every time I post anything about "AoT" or Levi, inevitably, some shitter comes at me complaining about what I've written on my own blog, arguing with me about it, or trying to tell me nobody likes Levi, or that I don't care about "AoT" as a story, or whining to me that I've somehow offended them when nothing I ever write has anything to do with them, period. The best is when I get attacked over defending myself against the constant harassment and am made to feel like I'm somehow the problem, because I'm not "nice" enough to these people that send anonymous hate messages to me with the clear intent of antagonizing me.

I'm doing alright, actually! I need to update my tagged post- still dealing with depression and burnout, to be honest, but I'm getting better, and learning to be my own person and love art and music and creating again, so things are actually good relatively speaking.

I'm actually really happy to hear the impact I had, too- I think part of me had wanted to be that when I started doing that spam like-and-comment thing, but I was also just really excited to find another Ninjago fan, and I am genuinely so, so impressed seeing how far you've come. I've been thinking a lot about healing, the past...a lot of years HDJFNF have brought a lot of trauma for me and I've realised that healing sometimes doesn't mean fixing. Sometimes healing is accepting that it happened and moving on, or accepting that something is a part of you and moving on.

Hey there anon! I don't have a Solomon🤍 anon, so I will be sure to add that to the anon list!

Now, as it happens, I have thoughts about this specific thing. I can't speak for all writers/artists, but I think my sentiments are somewhat universal since we're all creating and sharing on the same platform. I've also been on Tumblr since the very beginning, so that might have an impact on my personal perspective.

To begin, let me give you the short and easy answer: It is always nice to get any kind of feedback, even short and sweet comments like the ones you've given as examples. Please don't feel guilty about not leaving massively long, in depth commentary on things. Most people understand that not everybody has the spoons for that kind of thing all the time. It's honestly just nice to know that someone liked it at all.

That being said, I feel the need to give you a little bit more nuance about this particular issue, as someone who gets a lot of notifs nowadays.

Quite honestly, the fact that you reblogged it at all is really nice, even if all you do is tag it as "obey me" or something along those lines.

I get hundreds of notifications every day. And most of those are likes. I would say perhaps like 90%? It's a lot. And when one post is getting a lot of attention, my notifs just group them together. So it'll be like "username, username, and 12 other people" and then it'll indicate the post and that it was liked by all those people.

That means that if you reblog it, even without tags, it pops up as a separate notification. And to me, that's always nice to see. I'm always like OH! That person liked it enough to reblog! Thank you, friend!

I'm not kidding, that's my internal monologue lol.

I know there's a lot of discourse about reblogging vs liking, but I'm not really talking about any of that (I'm willing to share my thoughts if people ask though). I'm just telling you what it's like from my perspective.

Things that always catch my attention are reblogs with or without tags, a direct comment on a post, and asks.

Specifically about reblogs, there are different things that are more noticeable.

Like, yes, I'm going to notice if someone leaves a lot of tags gushing about how much they liked the story. I have screenshotted tags and comments that have made me happy just so I can go back and read them.

I often reread the reblogged tags on posts. It's writer-fuel.

And when I'm looking at the reblogs of a post all at once, I'm scrolling through and seeing one that's really in depth and one that's just "AAAAHHH" and i love them both equally.

Is it always going to be more meaningful and impactful if someone reblogs with a dissertation in the tags or even a whole analysis added to the post? Of course. But that is a rare occurrence and not something I ever expect to see. Nor would I personally want someone to force themselves to give more feedback than they can manage.

I just like to know that reading it meant something to you. Likes tell me you liked it, tagless reblogs let me know that you liked it enough to share it, but they don't really tell me much beyond that. A reblog that says "I really loved this!" lets me know that this piece of writing touched you enough for you to actually write a little response to me. You might even say something like, "I love *character*" or perhaps "that last line oof" or even just "a;lksdfkljasdfklj" - all of that conveys so much more to me than a like or tagless reblog. It doesn't have to be a lot. And when like five people do this on one post, it really adds up, too, you know? So I'm like Oh, the people like this one!! LOL!

So I guess what I'm trying to say is, the more interaction you can give is always appreciated, but nobody wants you to force yourself to have elaborate comments. Just a reblog is also appreciated.

That being said, if you want to get elaborate in the tags PLEASE DO. You don't need to push yourself, but you don't need to hold back, either!

I appreciate every bit of interaction I receive, of course. And I'm thankful for everyone that has followed me and enjoyed my writing!

I hope that answered the question, I'm sorry for rambling a bit lol. I just figured I could take the opportunity to talk a little bit about what it's like from my side of things! Ohh there's very little logic to who I follow back honestly, it depends more on what I'm doing when I open the notification than anything else. I'll nearly always follow back unless I miss the notification or the person obviously hates one of my ships, or posts only stuff I don't recognise. So I think the answer is. . . follow me. . . then if I don't follow you back, there's probably no reason for that so spam me with notifications or just ask and I'll follow back lol. hey i hope you’re well! i was interested in hearing your thoughts about this, people new to the fandom have been posting gifs for bob but you can tell the gifs are not theirs. they don’t credit the gif makers or tell people they have permission to repost gifs, or any of that and those who credit, only credit pinterest. you can tell it’s not their gifs by the coloring and how each gif is extremely different from the other, like the gifs are from different sources/gif makers. how do you feel about that?

I gotta level with you first and say that I hope your ask isn't meant to shit-stir or cause any trouble in the fandom for the person(s) who're doing this sort of thing. If you truly want them to realize the errors of their ways, please consider sending them a private message to explain why this isn't a nice thing to do in fandom. (And, of course, do not reblog a post that is full of reposted gifs. It hurts my heart every time those posts get any type of engagement!)

That said, I have thoughts on this. I have a lot of thoughts on this, because the reality is that I'm tired.

I always operate on the basis of good faith in fandom. People who are new to fandom might not be aware of some things that are common sense to us who've been in fandom longer. People might not be aware that what they're doing isn't good. People might have seen other people do these things before, and they might not know that they're not supposed to do them.

For those people, let me say this: Pinterest, Twitter, WeHeartIt, Google, etc. are not sources for gifs. If you do not know a gif's origin, do not use it in your posts. If you don't know who made it, do not use it. I don't care if it's the best gif you've ever seen, I don't care if it fits whatever fanfic you're publishing, I don't care if it's perfect for your roleplaying. That gif isn't yours. That gif belongs to a gifmaker like myself, who has often spent hours creating that gif and has published that gif in a set on their own blog.

If you want to use that gif in any way in your own post, the bare minimum you should do is credit its original creator. They've worked hard on it and they deserve to be credited for that! Simply @-ing our username or using Tumblr's gif search will suffice, as we always get a notification of that. Also consider asking the gifmaker directly if you can use their gif in a particular post/fic: they will often say yes, but please also respect a 'no'.

And the reality here for me as a gifmaker is also this: I'm tired of asking people to credit me. I'm tired of having to message people and request that they credit my work in their posts. The HBO War fandom is pretty mild in how often this sort of thing occurs, but I have been part of another fandom where my work gets reposted on a regular basis. So regular, in fact, that I have utterly soured on the roleplaying community (the worst offenders when it comes to gif reposts!) and have taken to blocking people instead of asking them time and again to credit me. I'm so tired of it that I actually do not message anyone about it anymore, because my temper in regards to this has frayed over the years and I don't want to be a massive bitch to someone who might not even know that what they're doing is wrong.

I hope that this answer will create more awareness in our fandom and will make people credit the lovely gifmakers in our community for their work. Please don't use my words as an excuse to dogpile the user(s) who repost gifs, as they might not have realized they're committing a fandom faux-pas. Consider letting them know in private! (And if they refuse/ignore it or don't think it's that big a deal, you'll know they don't see gifmakers and other creative contributors to the fandom as people. We're just content machines to them, and in that case you can feel absolutely free to block and ignore that user from there on out.)
