Rewatching Shippuden for comfort/background noise, and there's something Orochi says in passing at the Tenchi Bridge encounter that I never really noticed before; "I've seen that face often," when he looks at Sakura. And the way he registers her before Naruto, and makes it seem like the Kyuubi Jinchuriki is almost an afterthought when he turns to him...

I know he's talking about the expression on Sakura's face rather than Sakura herself, but like. it's too late.

#it's almost 2024 and i'm still on my orochimaru would have been an /incredible/ teacher for sakura bullshit XD #don't get me wrong i adore her relationship with tsunade #BUT #she can have more than one mentor #i also think she and sasori would make an exceptional team #tbh they all have such complicated relationships with each other; sasori and orochimaru; kabuto too #the characters with the most advanced medical skills/knowledge in this series are such a jumbled MESS and i love it so much #withoutwords
