#julian k jarboe has a book called 'everyone on the moon is essential personnel' with a short story centered around this quote btw #it's a short story collection with various stories mostly involving trans/queer; feminist; and anti-capitalist themes #it's self-published as far as I know (I got in on itch.io) and you should read it #firstly bc jarboe is a good as hell writer who can do a wide variety of styles really well with unique and interesting story ideas #secondly bc i think they should get paid for the degree to which this quote has gone viral/has been stolen #my favourites in the book are 'self care' and 'i am a beautiful bug!'#described
