Pet Names (My Hero Academia)

Heyo! So, this was a bit of an impromptu gift for the lovely @intheticklecloset! I saw that they were having a hard time lately and wanted to make something that would hopefully make things a little brighter, and I know they’ve mentioned ShinDeku alot, so I thought I’d give this adorable ship a try!

I hope things get better for you friend! You’re a strong, beautiful person with amazing writing skills! I’m sending lots of good vibes and tons of ShinDeku fluff your way! Please take care!

“Hey ShinKin?”

“Midoriya.”

“What is it, ShinShin?”

“Stop it.”

“What’s wrong with my sleepy kitten?”

“Izuku!” Shinsou whirled on his boyfriend, face stained an adorable shade of pink. The green haired hero cackled, utterly delighted. “W-Whahatat’s wrong, Kittycat?” He giggled out, grinning when Shinsou blushed even more, lips twitching with restraint.

It was a recent discovery; Shinsou was utterly weak to pet names. Specifically the somewhat cheesy ones Midoriya came up with on the daily. It was by complete accident how he found out. One afternoon after training he turned to his boyfriend and said, “Hey babe, can you hand me a towel?”

To his surprise (and delight), the purple haired boy beside him went bright pink, fighting down a smile as he handed the green haired hero a towel. “Erm...s-sure.” He stammered, averting eyes. Midoriya slowly took the towel, keeping his gaze on him. “Thank you...honey.” He grinned when Shinsou blushed even more, hiding his face in his own towel.

Since that day, Midoriya had made it his mission to call Shinsou every cheesy pet name he could come up with.

“Izuku, I swear on all of your All Might merch, if you call me one more pet name-” Shinsou made a big show of crawling on top of Izuku, pressing their foreheads together. “I will tickle you.”

Midoriya blushed, eyes wide as he looked up at his boyfriend. Giggles escaped his lips as he looked up into those purple eyes, boring into his soul. “Y-Yohou wouldn’t!” He laughed, already seeing Shinsou raise his hands, fingers wiggling. “Oh I would.”

After a moment, Midoriya decided he’d lived a long enough life. Poking the purple haired boy before him in the belly, he raised his chin in short lived defiance. “Bring it on, kittycat!” The brainwasher gaped at him, a smile pulling on his lips. “Oh it is ON!” Midoriya squealed when Shinsou attacked his sides, fingers playfully pressing into his sides and ribs with playful determination.

“Ahehehahhahahhahahahaha! S-Shihihihihihihihihin! Plehehehahhahahhahse!” The greenhaired hero cackled, squirming to and from beneath his boyfriend. Already his cheeks were flushed a warm pink color, and his smile was wide and happy. “How cute, look how red you are.” Shinsou teased softly, squeezing the smaller boy's hips and earning even more sweet giggles and laughs. “This is what you get for all the pet names!”

“Gahhahahhahahha! Buhuuhuhuht thehehehehhehhehy’re cuuuuhuhuhuhhuhuuhte!” Midoriya cried, swatting half heartedly at Shinsou’s hands. He eventually gave up and opted to simply hold onto the tickly hands. “Aww, what’s this? Do you want me to keep tickling you?” Teased Shinsou, earning more squeaky giggles from the hero. “ShihihihihiihihiihihihihinShihiihhihihihiihiihih! Ahehehahahahhahahahaha!” Deku fell back flat against the couch, bringing Shinsou down with him, unintentionally opening up more tickle spots.

“Even tickled, you wanna keep calling me pet names!” Shinsou felt himself blush at both Midoriya’s pet name and adorable laughs. “What if I called you pet names, huh? Greenbean, sweet pea, love of my life.” Midoriya’s laugh raised a pitch at the added teases, arms latching down when Shinsou tickled his armpits. “AHEHEHHEHAHAHHAHA! THEHEHEHHEHHEHHE’YHHEHEHERE CUUHUUUHUHUUHTE!” Tears of mirth dotted his eyes, threatening to spill down his freckled, flushed cheeks.

“For you, sure. For me, not much.” Shinsou smiled, finally stopping his tickly assault, watching Midoriya gasp for breath, residue giggles bubbling out with each breath. “Hehe...heh..hehehe.” As he recovered, he looked up at Shinsou with a happy smile. “Y-Yohour a jeherk..” He breathed out, reaching up and boop-ing Shinsou's nose gently.

The purple haired boy laughed, leaning down and kissing Midoriya’s giggly lips before curling up beside him, settling in for a nap. “You love me.”

Midoriya did. He couldn’t deny it.
