had to stop reading due to time constraints right when trickster jane jake and roxy got to dirk and i need to keep reading aaa
#as soon as i saw that the gifts were lollipops i thought something trickster would probably happen but#this is crazy#it's actually freaky but also fun i really liked the interactive flash where jane kicks jake in the balls so hard his glasses + eyes fly off#and he pops right out of his shoes and off the cliff-#it's funny but also jane and jake advancing on invisible roxy was creeepyyy#it's a brand of horror i really kind of like where. everything is happyhappyhappy but to any outside observer it's obviously Wrong#it helps that i was listening to some of the more intense tracks from the volume 8 album at the time#i'm not gonna lie it took a little bit but i really love the alpha kids#their friend group dynamics are so much more complicated and messy than the betas but it's also true that#we're being introduced to them at age 16 and the betas were introduced at 13#so. the trials of teenagerdom#and i like how their flaws create these barriers in communication for them all too especially jake and his absolute dogshit listening skill#cause all this trickster stuff started with jake forgetting janes birthday and rambling to her nonstop about his relationship problems#poor jane i love her a lot
